We are concerned with entropy solutions of the 2×2 relativistic Euler equations for perfect fluids in special relativity. We establish the uniqueness of Riemann solutions in the class of entropy solutions in LBVloc with arbitrarily large oscillation. Our proof for solutions with large oscillation is based on a detailed analysis of global behavior of shock curves in the phase space and on special features of centered rarefaction waves in the physical plane for this system. The uniqueness result does not require specific reference to any particular method for constructing the entropy solutions. Then the uniqueness of Riemann solutions yields their inviscid large-time stability under arbitrarily largeL1LBVloc perturbation of the Riemann initial data, as long as the corresponding solutions are in L and have local bounded total variation that allows the linear growth in time. We also extend our approach to deal with the uniqueness and stability of Riemann solutions containing vacuum in the class of entropy solutions in L with arbitrarily large oscillation.  相似文献

The existence and uniqueness of solutions to the Euler equations for initial vorticity in BΓLp0Lp1 was proved by Misha Vishik, where BΓ is a borderline Besov space parameterized by the function Γ and 1<p0<2<p1. Vishik established short time existence and uniqueness when Γ(n)=O(logn) and global existence and uniqueness when . For initial vorticity in BΓL2, we establish the vanishing viscosity limit in L2(R2) of solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations to a solution of the Euler equations in the plane, convergence being uniform over short time when Γ(n)=O(logn) and uniform over any finite time when Γ(n)=O(logκn), 0?κ<1, and we give a bound on the rate of convergence. This allows us to extend the class of initial vorticities for which both global existence and uniqueness of solutions to the Euler equations can be established to include BΓL2 when Γ(n)=O(logκn) for 0<κ<1.  相似文献

The uniqueness of monosplines and perfect splines of leastL p-norm is treated in the framework of generalized monosplines and total positivity. The analysis is based on the invariance properties of the degree of a certain mapping and on a new composition result for totally positive kernels. For theL p-case 1<p<∞, uniqueness is shown under the same extra conditions as were previously shown to be needed in theL p-case. The uniqueness in theL -case is obtained without any restrictions.  相似文献

We are concerned with existence, uniqueness and nonuniqueness of nonnegative solutions to the semilinear heat equation in open subsets of the n-dimensional sphere. Existence and uniqueness results are obtained using L p ?? L q estimates for the semigroup generated by the Laplace?CBeltrami operator. Moreover, under proper assumptions on the nonlinear function, we establish nonuniqueness of weak solutions, when n??? 3; to do this, we shall prove uniqueness of positive classical solutions and nonuniqueness of singular solutions of the corresponding semilinear elliptic problem.  相似文献

A linear homogeneous ODE is constructed, among whose solutions are all products of solutions of two given linear homogeneous ODE's Lm[u]=0, Mn[v]=0, in some classes. Its order is the minimum and its coefficients can be obtained by a finite number of rational operations and differentiations on the coefficients of Lm, Mn. The problem is considered (locally) both in the real and in the complex domain, around an isolated singularity. Examples are also given.  相似文献

In this paper we extend recent results on the existence and uniqueness of solutions of ODEs with non-smooth vector fields to the case of martingale solutions, in the Stroock-Varadhan sense, of SDEs with non-smooth coefficients. In the first part we develop a general theory, which roughly speaking allows to deduce existence, uniqueness and stability of martingale solutions for Ld-almost every initial condition x whenever existence and uniqueness is known at the PDE level in the L-setting (and, conversely, if existence and uniqueness of martingale solutions is known for Ld-a.e. initial condition, then existence and uniqueness for the PDE holds). In the second part of the paper we consider situations where, on the one hand, no pointwise uniqueness result for the martingale problem is known and, on the other hand, well-posedness for the Fokker-Planck equation can be proved. Thus, the theory developed in the first part of the paper is applicable. In particular, we will study the Fokker-Planck equation in two somehow extreme situations: in the first one, assuming uniform ellipticity of the diffusion coefficients and Lipschitz regularity in time, we are able to prove existence and uniqueness in the L2-setting; in the second one we consider an additive noise and, assuming the drift b to have BV regularity and allowing the diffusion matrix a to be degenerate (also identically 0), we prove existence and uniqueness in the L-setting. Therefore, in these two situations, our theory yields existence, uniqueness and stability results for martingale solutions.  相似文献

We investigate existence and uniqueness of solutions to semilinear parabolic and elliptic equations in bounded domains of the n-dimensional hyperbolic space (n?3). LpLq estimates for the semigroup generated by the Laplace-Beltrami operator are obtained and then used to prove existence and uniqueness results for parabolic problems. Moreover, under proper assumptions on the nonlinear function, we establish uniqueness of positive classical solutions and nonuniqueness of singular solutions of the elliptic problem; furthermore, for the corresponding semilinear parabolic problem, nonuniqueness of weak solutions is stated.  相似文献

In this paper, we have proved the second-order convergence in L norm of the Tsertsvadze's difference scheme for the Kuramoto-Tsuzuki equation. The existence, uniqueness and iterative algorithm are also discussed in detail. Furthermore, a L second order convergent linearized difference scheme is given for inhomogeneous equation. All results are obtained without any restrictions on the meshsizes. At last a numerical example is presented.  相似文献

We consider linear operators T mapping a couple of weighted Lp spaces {Lp0(U0), Lp1(U1)} into {Lq0(V0),Lq1(V1)} for any 1?p0, p1, q0, q1?∞, and describe the interpolation orbit of any aLp0(U0)+Lp1(U1) that is we describe a space of all {Ta}, where T runs over all linear bounded mappings from {Lp0(U0),Lp1(U1)} into {Lq0(V0),Lq1(V1)}. We show that interpolation orbit is obtained by the Lions–Peetre method of means with functional parameter as well as by the K-method with a weighted Orlicz space as a parameter. In this paper a special Lp-estimate for the linearized compressible Navier-Stokes in the Lagrangian coordinates for the Dirichlet boundary conditions is obtained. The constant in the estimate does not depend on the length of time interval [0,T]. The result is essential to obtain an existence for regular solutions for the nonlinear problem with the lowest class of regularity in Lp-spaces.  相似文献

We generalize the concept of entropy solutions for parabolic equations with L1-data and consider a class of nonlinear history-dependent degenerated elliptic-parabolic equations including problems with a fractional time derivative such as with Dirichlet boundary conditions and initial condition, where 0<γ?1. We show uniqueness of entropy solutions for general L1-data by Kruzhkov's method of doubling variables. Moreover, existence in the nondegenerated case, i.e. b≡id, is shown by using the concept of generalized solutions of a corresponding abstract Volterra equation.  相似文献

This paper deals with an initial boundary-value problem for the generalized derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The cases of zero Dirichlet and generalized periodic boundary conditions are considered. The global existence of a solution inL (0,∞;H b 1) is proved. The uniqueness inL (0,T;H b 1)∩{u: ?u/?x εL (Ω×(0,T))} is also established.  相似文献

We consider a Kolmogorov operator L0 in a Hilbert space H, related to a stochastic PDE with a time-dependent singular quasi-dissipative drift , defined on a suitable space of regular functions. We show that L0 is essentially m-dissipative in the space Lp([0,TH;ν), p?1, where and the family (νt)t∈[0,T] is a solution of the Fokker-Planck equation given by L0. As a consequence, the closure of L0 generates a Markov C0-semigroup. We also prove uniqueness of solutions to the Fokker-Planck equation for singular drifts F. Applications to reaction-diffusion equations with time-dependent reaction term are presented. This result is a generalization of the finite-dimensional case considered in [V. Bogachev, G. Da Prato, M. Röckner, Existence of solutions to weak parabolic equations for measures, Proc. London Math. Soc. (3) 88 (2004) 753-774], [V. Bogachev, G. Da Prato, M. The equation ut=Δp(u1/(p−1)) for p>1 is a nonlinear generalization of the heat equation which is also homogeneous, of degree 1. For large time asymptotics, its links with the optimal Lp-Euclidean logarithmic Sobolev inequality have recently been investigated. Here we focus on the existence and the uniqueness of the solutions to the Cauchy problem and on the regularization properties (hypercontractivity and ultracontractivity) of the equation using the Lp-Euclidean logarithmic Sobolev inequality. A large deviation result based on a Hamilton-Jacobi equation and also related to the Lp-Euclidean logarithmic Sobolev inequality is then stated.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem for systems of semilinear hyperbolic equations. Using the LpLq type estimation for the corresponding linear parts, the existence and uniqueness of weak global solutions are investigated. We also established the behavior of solutions and their derivatives as t→+. Using the method of test functions developed in the works (Mitidieri and Pokhozhaev, 2001 [11], Veron and Pohozaev, 2001 [12] and Caristi, 2000 [23]) we obtain the analogue of the Fujita-Hayakawa type criterion for the absence of global solutions to some system of semilinear hyperbolic inequalities with damping. It follows that the conditions of existence theorem imposed on the growth of nonlinear parts are exact in some sense.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the study of the FitzHugh-Nagumo equations. These equations arise in mathematical biology as a model of the transmission of electrical impulses through a nerve axon; they are a simplified version of the Hodgkin-Huxley equations. The FitzHugh-Nagumo equations consist of a non-linear diffusion equation coupled to an ordinary differential equation. vt = vxx + f(v) ? u, ut = σv ? γu. We study these equations with either Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions, proving local and global existence, and uniqueness of the solutions. Furthermore, we obtain L estimates for the solutions in terms of the L1 norm of the boundary data, when the boundary data vanish after a finite time and the initial data are zero. These estimates allow us to prove exponential decay of the solutions.  相似文献

This paper is a sequel to the 1995 paper On L-Tychonoff spaces. The embedding theorem for L-topological spaces is shown to hold true for L an arbitrary complete lattice without imposing any order reversing involution (·) on L. Some results on completely L-regular spaces and on L-Tychonoff spaces, which have previously been known to hold true for (L,) a frame, are exhibited as ones holding for (L,) a meet-continuous lattice. For such a lattice an insertion theorem for completely L-regular spaces is given. Some weak forms of separating families of maps are discussed. We also clarify the dependence between the sub-T0 separation axiom of Liu and the L-T0 separation axiom of Rodabaugh.  相似文献

Let M and L be (nonlinear) operators in a reflexive Banach space B for which Rg(M + L) = B and ¦(Mx ? My) + α(Lx ? Ly)¦ ? | mx ? My | for all α > 0 and pairs x, y in D(M) ∩ D(L). Then there is a unique solution of the Cauchy problem (Mu(t))′ + Lu(t) = 0, Mu(0) = v0. When M and L are realizations of elliptic partial differential operators in space variables, this gives existence and uniqueness of generalized solutions of boundary value problems for nonlinear partial differential equations of mixed parabolic-Sobolev type.  相似文献
