We prove a general optimal Lp-Euclidean logarithmic Sobolev inequality by using Prékopa-Leindler inequality and a special Hamilton-Jacobi equation. In particular we generalize the inequality proved by Del Pino and Dolbeault in (J. Funt. Anal.).  相似文献

In this paper, we give an optimal logarithmic Sobolev inequality on Rn with Lipschitz constants. This inequality is a limit case of the Lp-logarithmic Sobolev inequality of Gentil (2003) [7] as p→∞. As a result of our inequality, we show that if a Lipschitz continuous function f on Rn fulfills some condition, then its Lipschitz constant can be expressed by using the entropy of f. We also show that a hypercontractivity of exponential type occurs in the heat equation on Rn. This is due to the Lipschitz regularizing effect of the heat equation.  相似文献

A general Sobolev type inequality is introduced and studied for general symmetric forms by defining a new type of Cheeger's isoperimetric constant. Finally, concentration of measure for the Lp type logarithmic Sobolev inequality is presented.  相似文献

In order to extend the blow-up criterion of solutions to the Euler equations, Kozono and Taniuchi [H. Kozono, Y. Taniuchi, Limiting case of the Sobolev inequality in BMO, with application to the Euler equations, Comm. Math. Phys. 214 (2000) 191-200] have proved a logarithmic Sobolev inequality by means of isotropic (elliptic) BMO norm. In this paper, we show a parabolic version of the Kozono-Taniuchi inequality by means of anisotropic (parabolic) BMO norm. More precisely we give an upper bound for the L norm of a function in terms of its parabolic BMO norm, up to a logarithmic correction involving its norm in some Sobolev space. As an application, we also explain how to apply this inequality in order to establish a long-time existence result for a class of nonlinear parabolic problems.  相似文献

This paper studies Brownian motion and heat kernel measure on a class of infinite dimensional Lie groups. We prove a Cameron-Martin type quasi-invariance theorem for the heat kernel measure and give estimates on the Lp norms of the Radon-Nikodym derivatives. We also prove that a logarithmic Sobolev inequality holds in this setting.  相似文献

In this paper, taking the Hessian Sobolev inequality (0<pk) (X.-J. Wang, 1994 [2]) as the starting point, we give a proof of the Hessian Sobolev inequality when k<pk, where k is the critical Sobolev embedding index of k-Hessian type. We also prove that k is optimal by one-dimensional Hardy’s inequality.  相似文献

We introduce a class of non-commutative Heisenberg-like infinite-dimensional Lie groups based on an abstract Wiener space. The Ricci curvature tensor for these groups is computed and shown to be bounded. Brownian motion and the corresponding heat kernel measures, {νt}t>0, are also studied. We show that these heat kernel measures admit: (1) Gaussian like upper bounds, (2) Cameron-Martin type quasi-invariance results, (3) good Lp-bounds on the corresponding Radon-Nikodym derivatives, (4) integration by parts formulas, and (5) logarithmic Sobolev inequalities. The last three results heavily rely on the boundedness of the Ricci tensor.  相似文献

We investigate thc close relations existing between certain geometric properties of domains Ω of RN, the validity of Poincark inequalities in Ω, and the behavior of solutions of semilinear parabolic equations. For the equation ut-△u=|u|p-1 we obtain a purely geometric, necessary and sufficient condition on Ω, for the 0 solution to be asymptotically (and exponentially) stable in Lr(ω)1<r<∞ when r is supercritical(r>N(p-1)/2 . The condition is that the inradius of Ω be finite. The result is different for r critical. For the equation ut-△u=up-μ|u|q,q≥p>1,μ>0 we prove that the finiteness of the inradius is a necessary and sufficient condition for global existence and boundedness of all nonnegative solutions.  相似文献

Under a suitable condition on n and p, the quasilinear equation at critical growth −Δpu=λ|u|p−2u+|u|p−2u is shown to admit a nontrivial weak solution for any λ?λ1. Nonstandard linking structures, for the associated functional, are recognized.  相似文献

Existence and some regularity results of global attractor in Lq, q?1, for m-Laplacian type quasilinear parabolic equation with a perturbation like a(x)(α|u|uβ|u|u)+f(x) with α>β?0, a(x)?0 are proved. For the proofs Moser's technique is used extensively.  相似文献

We study extremal functions for a family of Poincaré-Sobolev-type inequalities. These functions minimize, for subcritical or critical p?2, the quotient ‖∇u2/‖up among all uH1(B)?{0} with Bu=0. Here B is the unit ball in RN. We show that the minimizers are axially symmetric with respect to a line passing through the origin. We also show that they are strictly monotone in the direction of this line. In particular, they take their maximum and minimum precisely at two antipodal points on the boundary of B. We also prove that, for p close to 2, minimizers are antisymmetric with respect to the hyperplane through the origin perpendicular to the symmetry axis, and that, once the symmetry axis is fixed, they are unique (up to multiplication by a constant). In space dimension two, we prove that minimizers are not antisymmetric for large p.  相似文献

Let (X,d) be a complete, pathwise connected metric measure space with a locally Ahlfors Q-regular measure μ, where Q>1. Suppose that (X,d,μ) supports a (local) (1,2)-Poincaré inequality and a suitable curvature lower bound. For the Poisson equation Δu=f on (X,d,μ), Moser-Trudinger and Sobolev inequalities are established for the gradient of u. The local Hölder continuity with optimal exponent of solutions is obtained.  相似文献

We consider the strongly elliptic operator A of order 2m in the divergence form with bounded measurable coefficients and assume that the coefficients of top order are uniformly continuous. For 1<p<∞, A is a bounded linear operator from the Lp Sobolev space Hm,p into Hm,p. We will prove that (Aλ)−1 exists in Hm,p for some λ and estimate its operator norm.  相似文献

We consider the solutions of degenerate parabolic equations and inequalities of the formLu-u t = |u| q sgnu and sgnu(Lu−u t )−|u| q ≥0, 0<q<1, with the elliptic operatorL in divergent or nondivergent form. We establish a dependence of the maximum modulus of the solution on the domain and on the equation (inequality) such that this dependence guarantees the existence of a “dead zone” of the solution. In this case, the character of degeneracy is unessential. Translated fromMatematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 60, No. 6, pp. 824–831, December, 1996.  相似文献

We give a criterion for the logarithmic Sobolev inequality (LSI) on the product space X1×?×XN. We have in mind an N-site lattice, unbounded continuous spin variables, and Glauber dynamics. The interactions are described by the Hamiltonian H of the Gibbs measure. The criterion for LSI is formulated in terms of the LSI constants of the single-site conditional measures and the size of the off-diagonal entries of the Hessian of H. It is optimal for Gaussians with positive covariance matrix. To illustrate, we give two applications: one with weak interactions and one with strong interactions and a decay of correlations condition.  相似文献

We study the existence of “Lp-type” gradient estimates for the heat kernel of the natural hypoelliptic “Laplacian” on the real three-dimensional Heisenberg Lie group. Using Malliavin calculus methods, we verify that these estimates hold in the case p>1. The gradient estimate for p=2 implies a corresponding Poincaré inequality for the heat kernel. The gradient estimate for p=1 is still open; if proved, this estimate would imply a logarithmic Sobolev inequality for the heat kernel.  相似文献

We study Turing computability of the solution operators of the initial-value problems for the linear Schrödinger equation ut=iΔu+φ and the nonlinear Schrödinger equation of the form iut=-Δu+mu+|u|2u. We prove that the solution operators are computable if the initial data are Sobolev functions but noncomputable in the linear case if the initial data are Lp-functions and p≠2. The computations are performed on Type-2 Turing machines.  相似文献

The authors prove Carleman estimates for the Schrdinger equation in Sobolev spaces of negative orders, and use these estimates to prove the uniqueness in the inverse problem of determining Lp-potentials. An L2-level observability inequality and unique continuation results for the Schrdinger equation are also obtained.  相似文献
