Let (M, g) be a 4-dimensional Einstein Riemannian manifold. At each point p of M, the tangent space admits a so-called Singer-Thorpe basis (ST basis) with respect to the curvature tensor R at p. In this basis, up to standard symmetries and antisymmetries, just 5 components of the curvature tensor R are nonzero. For the space of constant curvature, the group O(4) acts as a transformation group between ST bases at T p M and for the so-called 2-stein curvature tensors, the group Sp(1) ? SO(4) acts as a transformation group between ST bases. In the present work, the complete list of Lie subgroups of SO(4) which act as transformation groups between ST bases for certain classes of Einstein curvature tensors is presented. Special representations of groups SO(2), T 2, Sp(1) or U(2) are obtained and the classes of curvature tensors whose transformation group into new ST bases is one of the mentioned groups are determined.  相似文献

Let M n be a compact Willmore submanifold in the unit sphere S n+p . In this note, we investigate the first eigenvalue of the Schrödinger operator L = ?Δ?q on M, where q is some potential function on M, and present a gap estimate for the first eigenvalue of L.  相似文献

In [22] (Tong-Viet H P, Simple classical groups of Lie type are determined by their character degrees, J. Algebra, 357 (2012) 61–68), the following question arose: Which groups can be uniquely determined by the structure of their complex group algebras? The authors in [12] (Khosravi B et al., Some extensions of PSL(2,p2) are uniquely determined by their complex group algebras, Comm. Algebra, 43(8) (2015) 3330–3341) proved that each extension of PSL(2,p2) of order 2|PSL(2,p2)| is uniquely determined by its complex group algebra. In this paper we continue this work. Let p be an odd prime number and q = p or q = p3. Let M be a finite group such that |M| = h|PSL(2,q), where h is a divisor of |Out(PSL(2,q))|. Also suppose that M has an irreducible character of degree q and 2p does not divide the degree of any irreducible character of M. As the main result of this paper we prove that M has a unique nonabelian composition factor which is isomorphic to PSL(2,q). As a consequence of our result we prove that M is uniquely determined by its order and some information on its character degrees which implies that M is uniquely determined by the structure of its complex group algebra.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. An element gG is called a vanishing element if there exists an irreducible complex character χ of G such that χ(g)= 0. Denote by Vo(G) the set of orders of vanishing elements of G. Ghasemabadi, Iranmanesh, Mavadatpour (2015), in their paper presented the following conjecture: Let G be a finite group and M a finite nonabelian simple group such that Vo(G) = Vo(M) and |G| = |M|. Then GM. We answer in affirmative this conjecture for M = Sz(q), where q = 22n+1 and either q ? 1, \(q - \sqrt {2q} + 1\) or q + \(\sqrt {2q} + 1\) is a prime number, and M = F4(q), where q = 2 n and either q4 + 1 or q4 ? q2 + 1 is a prime number.  相似文献

We study the blow-up and/or global existence of the following p-Laplacian evolution equation with variable source power
$${s_j} = {\beta _j} + \overline {{\beta _{n - j}}}p$$
where Ω is either a bounded domain or the whole space ? N , q(x) is a positive and continuous function defined in Ω with 0 < q ? = inf q(x) ? q(x) ? sup q(x) = q+ < ∞. It is demonstrated that the equation with variable source power has much richer dynamics with interesting phenomena which depends on the interplay of q(x) and the structure of spatial domain Ω, compared with the case of constant source power. For the case that Ω is a bounded domain, the exponent p ? 1 plays a crucial role. If q+ > p ? 1, there exist blow-up solutions, while if q + < p ? 1, all the solutions are global. If q ? > p ? 1, there exist global solutions, while for given q ? < p ? 1 < q +, there exist some function q(x) and Ω such that all nontrivial solutions will blow up, which is called the Fujita phenomenon. For the case Ω = ? N , the Fujita phenomenon occurs if 1 < q ? ? q + ? p ? 1 + p/N, while if q ? > p ? 1 + p/N, there exist global solutions.

Let (M, g, J) be a compact Hermitian manifold and \(\Omega\) the fundamental 2-form of (g, J). A Hermitian manifold (M, g, J) is called a locally conformal Kähler manifold if there exists a closed 1-form α such that \(d\Omega=\alpha \wedge \Omega\) . The purpose of this paper is to give a completely classification of locally conformal Kähler nilmanifolds with left-invariant complex structures.  相似文献

We give a classification of all linear natural operators transforming p-vectors (i.e., skew-symmetric tensor fields of type (p, 0)) on n-dimensional manifolds M to tensor fields of type (q, 0) on TAM, where TA is a Weil bundle, under the condition that p ≥ 1, np and nq. The main result of the paper states that, roughly speaking, each linear natural operator lifting p-vectors to tensor fields of type (q, 0) on TA is a sum of operators obtained by permuting the indices of the tensor products of linear natural operators lifting p-vectors to tensor fields of type (p, 0) on TA and canonical tensor fields of type (q ? p, 0) on TA.  相似文献

Let M n(n ≥ 2) be an immersed umbilic-free hypersurface in the (n+1)-dimensional unit sphere S n+1. Then M n is associated with a so-called Möbius metric g, and a Möbius second fundamental form B which are invariants of M nunder the Möbius transformation group of S n+1. In this paper, we classify all umbilic-free hypersurfaces with parallel Möbius second fundamental form.  相似文献

Let G = (V,E) be a finite connected weighted graph, and assume 1 ? α ? p ? q. In this paper, we consider the p-th Yamabe type equation ―?pu+huq―1 = λfuα―1 on G, where ?p is the p-th discrete graph Laplacian, h < 0 and f > 0 are real functions defined on all vertices of G. Instead of H. Ge’s approach [Proc. Amer. Math. Soc., 2018, 146(5): 2219–2224], we adopt a new approach, and prove that the above equation always has a positive solution u > 0 for some constant λ ∈ ?. In particular, when q = p, our result generalizes Ge’s main theorem from the case of α ? p > 1 to the case of 1 ? α ? p, It is interesting that our new approach can also work in the case of α ? p > 1.  相似文献

This paper studies heat equation with variable exponent u t = Δu + up(x) + u q in ? N × (0, T), where p(x) is a nonnegative continuous, bounded function, 0 < p? = inf p(x) ≤ p(x) ≤ sup p(x) = p+. It is easy to understand for the problem that all nontrivial nonnegative solutions must be global if and only if max {p+, q} ≤ 1. Based on the interaction between the two sources with fixed and variable exponents in the model, some Fujita type conditions are determined that that all nontrivial nonnegative solutions blow up in finite time if 0 < q ≤ 1 with p+ > 1, or 1 < q < 1 + \(\frac{2}{N}\). In addition, if q > 1 + \(\frac{2}{N}\), then (i) all solutions blow up in finite time with 0 < p?p+ ≤ 1 + \(\frac{2}{N}\); (ii) there are both global and nonglobal solutions for p? > 1 + \(\frac{2}{N}\); and (iii) there are functions p(x) such that all solutions blow up in finite time, and also functions p(x) such that the problem possesses global solutions when p? < 1 + \(\frac{2}{N}\) < p+.  相似文献

Let \({\phi : M \to R^{n+p}(c)}\) be an n-dimensional submanifold in an (n + p)-dimensional space form R n+p(c) with the induced metric g. Willmore functional of \({\phi}\) is \({W(\phi) = \int_{M}(S - nH^{2})^{n/2}dv}\) , where \({S = \sum_{\alpha,i, j}(h^{\alpha}_{ij} )^2}\) is the square of the length of the second fundamental form, H is the mean curvature of M. The Weyl functional of (M, g) is \({\nu(g) = \int_{M}|W_{g}|^{n/2}dv}\) , where \({|W_{g}|^{2} = \sum_{i, j,k,l} W^{2}_{ijkl}}\) and W ijkl are the components of the Weyl curvature tensor W g of (M, g). In this paper, we discover an inequality relation between Willmore functional \({W(\phi)}\) and Weyl funtional ν(g).  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to investigate the relations between Seifert manifolds and (1, 1)-knots. In particular, we prove that each orientable Seifert manifold with invariants
$\{ Oo,0| - 1;\underbrace {(p,q),...,(p,q)}_{n times},(l,l - 1)\} $
has the fundamental group cyclically presented by G n ((x 1 q ...x n q l x n ?p ) and, moreover, it is the n-fold strongly-cyclic covering of the lens space L(|nlq ? p|, q) which is branched over the (1, 1)-knot K(q, q(nl ? 2), p ? 2q, p ? q) if p ≥ 2q and over the (1, 1)-knot K(p? q, 2q ? p, q(nl ? 2), p ? q) if p< 2q.

In this paper we use the real differential geometric definition of a metric (a unimodular oriented metric) tt*-bundle of Cortés and the author (Topological-anti-topological fusion equations, pluriharmonic maps and special Kähler manifolds) to define a map Φ from the space of metric (unimodular oriented metric) tt*-bundles of rank r over a complex manifold M to the space of pluriharmonic maps from M to {GL}(r)/O(p,q) (respectively {SL}(r)/SO(p,q)), where (p,q) is the signature of the metric. In the sequel the image of the map Φ is characterized. It follows, that in signature (r,0) the image of Φ is the whole space of pluriharmonic maps. This generalizes a result of Dubrovin (Comm. Math. Phys. 152 (1992; S539–S564).  相似文献

The Riemannian version of the Goldberg-Sachs theorem says that a compact Einstein Hermitian surface is locally conformal Kähler. In contrast to the compact case, we show that there exists an Einstein Hermitian surface which is not locally conformal Kähler. On the other hand, it is known that on a compact Hermitian surface M 4, the zero scalar curvature defect implies that M 4 is Kähler. Contrary to the compact case, we show that there exists a non-Kähler Hermitian surface with zero scalar curvature defect.  相似文献

Assume that (N, ?) and (M, S) are two Riemann surfaces with conformal metrics ? and S. We prove that if there is a harmonic homeomorphism between an annulus A ? N with a conformal modulus Mod(A) and a geodesic annulus A S (p, ρ1, ρ2)?M, then we have ρ21 ≥ Ψ S Mod(A)2+ 1, where Ψ S is a certain positive constant depending on the upper bound of Gaussian curvature of the metric S. An application for the minimal surfaces is given.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a group G is pronormal if the subgroups H and H g are conjugate in 〈H,H g 〉 for every gG. It was conjectured in [1] that a subgroup of a finite simple group having odd index is always pronormal. Recently the authors [2] verified this conjecture for all finite simple groups other than PSL n (q), PSU n (q), E 6(q), 2 E 6(q), where in all cases q is odd and n is not a power of 2, and P Sp2n (q), where q ≡ ±3 (mod 8). However in [3] the authors proved that when q ≡ ±3 (mod 8) and n ≡ 0 (mod 3), the simple symplectic group P Sp2n (q) has a nonpronormal subgroup of odd index, thereby refuted the conjecture on pronormality of subgroups of odd index in finite simple groups. The natural extension of this conjecture is the problem of classifying finite nonabelian simple groups in which every subgroup of odd index is pronormal. In this paper we continue to study this problem for the simple symplectic groups P Sp2n (q) with q ≡ ±3 (mod 8) (if the last condition is not satisfied, then subgroups of odd index are pronormal). We prove that whenever n is not of the form 2 m or 2 m (22k +1), this group has a nonpronormal subgroup of odd index. If n = 2 m , then we show that all subgroups of P Sp2n (q) of odd index are pronormal. The question of pronormality of subgroups of odd index in P Sp2n (q) is still open when n = 2 m (22k + 1) and q ≡ ±3 (mod 8).  相似文献

It is proved that consideration of the solvability problem for taking the discrete logarithm in a residue ring modulo composite M can be reduced to consideration of a similar problem in residue rings modulo pq, where p and q are prime divisors of M. For moduli of form pq, necessary and sufficient conditions for solvability checking are obtained in some cases. In addition, the problem of raising a solution of an exponential comparison in a residue ring modulo p α is solved.  相似文献

Let (M n , g)(n ≥ 3) be an n-dimensional complete Riemannian manifold with harmonic curvature and positive Yamabe constant. Denote by R and R m? the scalar curvature and the trace-free Riemannian curvature tensor of M, respectively. The main result of this paper states that R m? goes to zero uniformly at infinity if for \(p\geq \frac n2\), the L p -norm of R m? is finite. Moreover, If R is positive, then (M n , g) is compact. As applications, we prove that (M n , g) is isometric to a spherical space form if for \(p\geq \frac n2\), R is positive and the L p -norm of R m? is pinched in [0, C 1), where C 1 is an explicit positive constant depending only on n, p, R and the Yamabe constant. We give an isolation theorem of the trace-free Ricci curvature tensor of compact locally conformally flat Riemannian n-manifolds with constant positive scalar curvature, which extends Theorem 1 of Hebey and M. Vaugon (J. Geom. Anal. 6, 531–553, 1996). This result is sharp, and we can precisely characterize the case of equality. In particular, when n = 4, we recover results by Gursky (Indiana Univ. Math. J. 43, 747–774, 1994; Ann. Math. 148, 315–337, 1998).  相似文献

We study Riesz and Bessel potentials in the settings of Hankel transform, modified Hankel transform and Hankel-Dunkl transform. We prove sharp or qualitatively sharp pointwise estimates of the corresponding potential kernels. Then we characterize those 1 ≤ p, q≤∞, for which the potential operators satisfy L p -L q estimates. In case of the Riesz potentials, we also characterize those 1 ≤ p, q ≤ ∞, for which two-weight L p -L q estimates, with power weights involved, hold. As a special case of our results, we obtain a full characterization of two power-weight L p -L q bounds for the classical Riesz potentials in the radial case. This complements an old result of Rubin and its recent reinvestigations by De Nápoli, Drelichman and Durán, and Duoandikoetxea.  相似文献
