Stress-induced crystallisation (SIC) and stress-induced melting (SIM) in natural rubbers (NR), unfilled and filled with carbon black (CB) have been studied by 2H-NMR measurements. Various materials have been swollen with small amount (< 2%) of deuterated alkane chains. The orientation of the amorphous chains, then the local deformation of the amorphous chains during deformation cycles and during stress relaxation, permits to clarify the SIC and SIM processes during hardening and recovery. By mechanical, WAXS and NMR measurements one determines the same critical draw ratio for appearance λA and disappearance λE of the crystallites. It is demonstrated that the hysteresis observed by the different techniques (stress σ, crystallinity χ, NMR splitting Δν) are due to the supercooling effect ( λA > λE, at constant temperature). During hardening at constant strain rate it is found that the local draw ratio remains constant and equal to λA, whereas the crystallinity increases linearly with the macroscopic draw ratio λ. The hardening σ ∼ (λ - λA)2 is then interpreted as a reinforcement effect due to the crystallites, which act as new crosslinks. This confirms the prediction of Flory. In filled rubber the same effects are observed, and the stress amplification factor is determined as a function of the CB content. It is found that the fillers act as nucleation centres for the NR crystallites. The reinforcement of such materials is due principally to this nucleation effect and to the presence of a super network formed by both the NR crystallites and the CB fillers.  相似文献

The microwave permittivity (ɛr) and permeability (μr) of composite materials are tailored by adding various loading agents to a host plastic and are subsequently modeled using the Maxwell Garnett theory and second order polynomials. With the addition of manganese zinc ferrite, strontium ferrite, nickel zinc ferrite, barium tetratitanate and graphite powders, materials with values of ɛ′, e″, μ′, μ″ as high as 22, 5, 2.5 and 1.7 have been obtained. Permittivity and permeability data are calculated at 2.0245 GHz from reflection and transmission measurements performed in a 7 mm coaxial test line. The Maxwell Garnett (MG) theory successfully models ɛr if the filling factor is less than 0.30 and ratio |ɛ1| (host)/ |ɛ2| (powder) is greater than 0.04. As this ratio decreases, the MG theory is shown to be independent of ɛ2 and second order polynomials are used to effectively model the dielectric constant. Polynomials are also used for the ferrite composites because it was determined that the MG theory was unable to model μr. This deficiency is attributed to the difference of domain structures that exist in powdered and sintered ferrites.  相似文献

A class of continuum models with a critical end point is considered whose Hamiltonian [φ,ψ] involves two densities: a primary order-parameter field, φ, and a secondary (noncritical) one, ψ. Field-theoretic methods (renormalization group results in conjunction with functional methods) are used to give a systematic derivation of singularities occurring at critical end points. Specifically, the thermal singularity ∼ | t|2 - α of the first-order line on which the disordered or ordered phase coexists with the noncritical spectator phase, and the coexistence singularity ∼ | t|1 - α or ∼ | t|β of the secondary density <ψ> are derived. It is clarified how the renormalization group (RG) scenario found in position-space RG calculations, in which the critical end point and the critical line are mapped onto two separate fixed points CEP * and λ *, translates into field theory. The critical RG eigenexponents of CEP * and λ * are shown to match. CEP * is demonstrated to have a discontinuity eigenperturbation (with eigenvalue y = d), tangent to the unstable trajectory that emanates from CEP * and leads to λ *. The nature and origin of this eigenperturbation as well as the role redundant operators play are elucidated. The results validate that the critical behavior at the end point is the same as on the critical line. Received 18 January 2001  相似文献

The IR reflection spectra of In2S3, CuIn5S8, AgIn5S8 compounds with a spinel structure are investigated. Using the DA-K-K method, we determined the frequencies of longitudinal and transverse phonons, attenuation coefficients of phonons, and IR intensities, as well as the dielectric constants ε0 and ε. Applications of algorithmic information theory to statistical physics rely (a) on the fact that average conditional algorithmic information can be approximated by Shannon information and (b) on the existence ofsimple states described by short programs. More precisely, given a list ofN states with probabilities 0<p 1 ≤ ... ≤ p N , the average conditional algorithmic informationĪ to specify one of these states obeys the inequalityH≤ Ī<H+O(1), whereH=−Σp j log2 p j andO(1) is a computer-dependent constant. We show how any universal computer can be slightly modified in such a way that (a) the inequality becomesH≤ Ī<H+1 and (b) states that are simple with respect to the original computer remain simple with respect to the modified computer, thereby eliminating the computer-dependent constant from statistical physics.  相似文献

Original results on investigation of the photorefractive effect in straight channels and integrated-optical circuits such as a directional coupler, Y-splitter and Mach–Zehnder interferometer, exploiting titanium-indiffused and proton-exchanged LiNbO3 waveguides, are presented. It has been found that the photorefractive damage is non-negligible for IR radiation with wavelengths near 1.5 μm in all circuits studied. The new methods for accurate evaluation of small extents of photorefractive effect are proposed.  相似文献

We discuss the effective metric produced in superfluid 3He-A by such topological objects as the radial disgyration and monopole. In relativistic theories these metrics are similar to that of the local string and global monopole, respectively. But in 3He-A they have a negative angle deficit, which corresponds to a negative mass of the topological objects. The effective gravitational constant in superfluid 3He-A, deduced from a comparison with relativistic theories, is G∼Δ−2, where the gap amplitude Δ plays the part of the Planck energy. G depends on temperature roughly as (1−T 2/T c 2 )−2 and corresponds to a screening of Newton’s constant. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Teor. A method of calculating the effective deformation-potential constant E 1 for holes and longitudinal acoustic phonons in isotropic polycrystalline silicon is suggested. The deformation-potential constant E 1 is estimated through the deformation potentials a, b, and d of the silicon single crystal. The procedure of averaging of the squared modulus of the hole and acoustic phonon interaction Hamiltonian written in the plane wave basis over the polycrystal ensemble provides the basis for calculation of the constant E 1 . It is demonstrated that for T = 200–600 K, hole concentration p = (5.0–10.0)∙1019 cm–3, and crystallite size d = 300–3000 ?, the deformationpotential constant E 1 is independent of the hole concentration p, temperature T, and crystallite size d.  相似文献

We consider static spherically symmetric solutions of the Einstein equations with cosmological constant Λ coupled to the SU(2)-Yang–Mills equations that are smooth at the origin r=0. We prove that all such solutions have a radius r c at which the solution in Schwarzschild coordinates becomes singular. However, for any positive integer N, there exists a small positive Λ N such that whenever 0<Λ<Λ N , there exist at least N distinct solutions for which the singularity is only a coordinate singularity and the solution can be extended to rr c .  We investigated the trans–cis photoisomerization of an azo dye in a rigid matrix and the resulting third-order resonant optical nonlinearity by means of the simple theoretical prediction of a two-energy-level system, thin-layer chromatography and H-NMR studies. A methylorange (MO), a methylred (MR), congored (CR) or a Disperse Red 1 (DR1) doped polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) or silica film was used as nonlinear optical material. The existence of equi-absorbing points, or isosbestic points in the absorbance spectrum change and the remarkable stationary transmittance to be independent of the action beam intensity enabled us to confirm the photoisomerization even in a rigid matrix. Then, we measured the third-order resonant optical nonlinearity of dichroism through the polarization absorbance spectrum measurement and determined the characteristic optical parameters of the photoisomerization in the film such as the quantum yields φT, φC, the thermal reaction constant K and the photoisomerization time constant by fitting the theoretical curve of the two-energy-level system to the observed temporal transmittance change after the action beam exposure of the MO/PVA film. The quantum yields were φˉT=0.36 and φˉC=0.38, respectively. The photoisomerization time constant of MO embedded in the PVA film was a few seconds. The present status of double-beta-decay experiments (including the search for 2β +, ECβ +, and ECEC processes) are reviewed. The results of the most sensitive experiments are discussed. Average and recommended half-life values for two-neutrino double-beta decay are presented. Conservative upper limits on effective Majorana neutrino mass and the coupling constant of the Majoron to the neutrino are established as 〈m ν 〉 < 0.75 eV and 〈g ee 〉 < 1.9 × 10−4, respectively. Proposals for future double-betadecay experiments with a sensitivity for the 〈m ν 〉 at the level of 0.01–0.1 eV are considered.  相似文献

Results of spectroscopic investigations into plasma of a pulse-periodic strontium vapor laser operating in the superradiance mode on the infrared transition at λ = 6.45 μm are presented. The method of determining the electron temperature and concentration as well as the gas temperature – T e , n e , and T g – based on measuring the absolute intensities of some SrI and SrII and buffer gas (helium or neon) spectral lines is used. Time dependences of the line intensities during a current pulse (τ = 150 ns) and near afterglow (up to 3 μs) are obtained under conditions of non-equilibrium plasma ionization and recombination. The optical system collects radiation from the entire length of the plasma column by means of separating radial volume zones, includingthe central zone and the zone closer to the walls, with the monochromator slit. The results obtained allow us not only to calculate T e , n e , and T g values, but also to trace the spatiotemporal plasma evolution.  相似文献

The α-Zn2P2O7 compound was obtained by conventional solid-state reaction. The sample was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, solid state 31P NMR MAS, and electrical impedance spectroscopy. The solid state 31P MAS NMR, performed at 121.49 MHz, shows three isotropic resonances at −21.1, −18.8, and −15.8 ppm, confirming the non-equivalency of the three PO4 groups in the α-Zn2P2O7 form. They are characterized by different chemical shift tensor parameters with the local geometrical features of the tetrahedra. Electrical impedance measurements of β-Zn2P2O7, form stable for temperature greater than 403 K, were performed as a function of both temperature and frequency. The electrical conduction and dielectric relaxation have been studied. The AC conductivity obeys the universal power law. The approximation type correlated barrier hopping model explains the universal behavior of the n exponent. The impedance plane plot shows semicircle arcs at different temperatures, and an electrical equivalent circuit has been proposed to explain the impedance results. The circuits consist of the parallel combination of bulk resistance R p and constant phase elements CPE. The simulated spectra show a good correlation with the experimental data.  相似文献

A new chemosensing ensemble that displays sensitive and selective fluorescent recognition of pyrophosphate in water at pH 7.4 has been developed. The ensemble is constructed by a copper complex (receptor) and eosin Y (indicator), the constructed ensemble is capable of highly selectively discriminate pyrophosphate from other common existing anions such as CH3COO, HSO4, NO3, H2PO4, HPO42−, PO43−, NCS, I, Cl, Br, Fas well as some structurally similar carboxylates such as citrate, tartrate, oxalate, malonate, succinate and glutarate.  相似文献

Heat generation by viscous dissipation in a dilute suspension of single-domain ferromagnetic particles in a rotating magnetic field is analyzed by assuming that the suspended particles have a high magnetic rigidity. The problem is solved by using a kinetic approach based on a rotational diffusion equation. Behavior of specific loss power (SLP) as a function of field strength H and frequency ω is examined at constant temperature. SLP increases as either of these parameters squared when the other is constant, eventually approaching a saturation value. The function SLP(H, ω) can be used to determine optimal and admissible ranges of magnetically induced heating.  相似文献

Based on the universal seesaw mass matrix model with the three scalars φi, and by assuming S3 flavor symmetry for the Yukawa interactions, the lepton masses and mixings are investigated systematically. In order to understand the observed neutrino mixing, the charged leptons (e,μ,τ) are regarded as the three objects (e1,e2,e3) of S3, while the neutrino mass eigenstates are regarded as the irreducible representation (νησπ) of S3, where (νπη) and νσ are a doublet and a singlet, respectively, which are composed of the three objects (ν123) of S3.  相似文献

We have examined a solution to the FRW model of the Einstein and de Sitter Universe, often termed the standard model of cosmology, using wide values for the normalized cosmic constant (Ω) and spacetime curvature (Ω k ) with proposed values of normalized matter density. These solutions were evaluated using a combination of the third type of elliptical equations and were found to display critical points for redshift z, between 1 and 3, when Ω is positive. These critical points occur at values for normalized cosmic constant higher than those currently thought important, though we find this solution interesting because the Ω term may increase in dominance as the Universe evolves bringing this discontinuity into importance. We also find positive Ωtends towards attractive at values of z which are commonly observed for distant galaxies.  相似文献

The hadronic events from the e  +  e  −  annihilation data at the centre-of-mass energies ranging from 60 to 197 GeV were studied. The AMY and OPAL Collaborations offered a unique opportunity to test QCD by measuring the energy dependence of different observables. The coupling constant, α s, was measured by two different methods: first by employing the three-jet observables. Combining all the data, the value of as at next-to-next leading order (NNLO) was determined to be 0.117 ± 0.004(hard) ± 0.006(theo). Secondly, from the event-shape distributions, the strong coupling constant, α s, was extracted at NNLO and it’s evaluation was tested with the energy scale. The results were consistent with the running of α s, expected from QCD predictions. Averaging over different observables, α s was determined to be 0.115 ± 0.007(hard) ± 0.003(theo).  相似文献

The dynamics of ion-beam etching of test microstructures, simulating fragments of the surface structure of very large-scale modern integrated circuits, has been studied. Aluminum strip microstructures, 0.5 μm high and 1 μm wide deposited on the surface or embedded into SiO2, were used as test samples. 1 keV Ar+ ion beam 1 with a current density 0.5 mA/cm2, incident on the surface of a sample, rotating at a speed of 60 r/min, at an angle of 87°, has been used in the experiments. The surface morphology evolution was studied using atomic-force microscopy. The experiments demonstrate that physical ion sputtering at glancing incident angles can be used for the planarization of originally inhomogeneous structures. The achieved planarization degree allows one to use this method for defect detection in the metallization multilevel layers of very large-scale modern integrated circuits.  相似文献

The isomeric ratios of the 197m,g Pt and 197m,g Hg yields in the respective (γ, n) reactions are measured for the first time in the energy range 8–17 MeV. The isomeric ratios σ mg for 197m,g Hg in the (d, 2n) reaction are measured in the energy range 8–50 MeV. The experimental data are compared with the results of theoretical calculations.
