Gasförmige Acetate

Gaseous Acetates Thermoanalytical and mass-spectrometrical observations are undertaken with some acetates and oxiacetates. The volatilization of copper(I) acetate takes place like that of the silver acetate as M₂Ac₂⁺ (besides the deposition of Ag). On the volatilization of the anhydrous compounds Cu₂Ac₄, Cr₂Ac₄, Rh₂Ac₄, and Mo₂Ac₄ in the vacuum of a mass spectrometer is observed that Cu₂Ac₄ vaporizes dissociative as Cu₂Ac₂⁺ (+ 2 “Ac”), while the other compounds vaporize as M₂Ac₄⁺ and simultaneously is formed an oxidic (e.g. Cr₂O₄) or metallic residue. PdAc₂ vaporizes in the mass spectrometer as a trimeric molecule Pd₃Ac₆. M₄OAc₆, which is formed from the dihydrates, vaporizes in a mass spectrometer with M ? Co, Mn as M₄OAc₆⁺. Other complexes of the same type appear as Be₄OAc₅⁺, Mg₄OAc₅⁺, and Zn₄OAc₅⁺.     

Gasförmige Molekelkomplexe MxMClz

Gaseous molecular complexes M_xM′_yCl_Z A number of new complex molecules (see “Inhaltsübersicht”) have been observed by mass spectroscopy. A survey of the known molecules of this type is given.     

Gasförmige BeCl2/AICl3-Komplexe

Gaseous BeCl₂/AlCl₃ complexes During the volatilization of the chlorides of beryllium and aluminium the complex molecules BeAlCl₅, Be₂AlCl₇, BeAl₂Cl₈, Be₂Al₂Cl₁₀, and (in a very small concentration) Be₃Al₂Cl₁₂ have been observed by means of a mass spectrometer. The structure of the compounds is discussed.     

Gasförmige Komplexe von Trichloriden,Tetrachloriden und Pentachloriden mit Aluminiumchlorid

Gaseous Complexes of Trichlorides, Tetrachlorides, and Pentachlorides with Aluminium Chloride The equilibria have been determined with the solid chlorides TiCl₃, VCl₃, ScCl₃, NdCl₃, ZrCl₄, TaCl₅, (NbCl₅) (double cells which contain AlCl₃ and MCl_x respectively; mass spectrometer). The complexes contain 1 AlCl₃/MCl_x. ZrAl₂Cl₁₀ molecules also have been observed. With MoCl₃ and WCl₆ AlCl₃ complexes could not be found. The ΔHº and ΔSº values have been discussed in connection with literature data. Complexes containing more as 1 AlCl₃/LnCl₃ (Ln ? Nd, Sm, Gd) also are included in the discussion.

Gaseous Complexes in the Systems Alkali Chloride/Gallium(III) Chloride The equilibria which are established by reaction of the solid alkali chlorides with gaseous gallium(III) chloride are measured by the flow method and by mass spectroscopy. In all cases the main reaction is given by equation (α) Data see “Inhaltsübersicht”. In small concentrations the molecules A₂GaCl₅ (A = Li, K, Cs) and A₂Ga₂Cl₈ (A = K, Cs) have been observed. Interpolation formulae for AGaCl₄ pressures over ACl,_s + (ACl + GaCl₃)₁ are given. For the combination of dimers (eq. (β); see Inhaltsübersicht) a systematic collection of Y data is given.
