Electrocatalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA) at a carbon paste electrode, chemically modified 2,2'-[3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanediylbis(nitriloethylidyne)]-bis-hydroquinone, was thoroughly investigated. The results of cyclic voltammetry, double potential-step chronoamperometry, linear sweep voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) studies were used for the prediction of the mechanism of electrochemical oxidation of AA mediated with 2,2'-[3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanediylbis(nitriloethylidyne)]-bis-hydroquinone at the surface of the modified electrode. The diffusion coefficient (D = 2.45 x 10(-5) cm(2) s(-1)) and the kinetic parameters such as the electron transfer coefficient (alpha = 0.34) were also determined. The results of DPV using the 2,2'-[3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanediylbis(nitriloethylidyne)]-bis-hydroquinone-modified electrode were applied in a highly sensitive determination of AA in drug samples. A linear range of 3.0 x 10(-6) - 1.2 x 10(-4) M and the detection limit (3sigma) 3.8 x 10(-7) M were obtained for DPV determination of AA in buffered pH 7.00 solutions (0.1 M phosphate buffer).  相似文献

A chemically modified carbon paste electrode with 2,7‐bis(ferrocenyl ethyl)fluoren‐9‐one (2,7‐BFEFMCPE) was employed to study the electrocatalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid in aqueous solution using cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and chronoamperometry. The diffusion coefficient (D=1.89×10?5 cm2 s?1), and the kinetic parameter such as the electron transfer coefficient, α (=0.42) of ascorbic acid oxidation at the surface of 2,7‐BFEFMCPE was determined using electrochemical approaches. It has been found that under an optimum condition (pH 7.00), the oxidation of ascorbic acid at the surface of such an electrode occurs at a potential about 300 mV less positive than that of an unmodified carbon paste electrode. The catalytic oxidation peak currents show a linear dependence on the ascorbic acid concentration and linear analytical curves were obtained in the ranges of 8.0×10?5 M–2.0×10?3 M and 3.1×10?5 M–3.3×10?3 M of ascorbic acid with correlation coefficients of 0.9980 and 0.9976 in cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry, respectively. The detection limits (2δ) were determined to be 2.9×10?5 M and 9.0×10?6 M with cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry, respectively. This method was also examined for determination of ascorbic acid in pharmaceutical preparations.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of D ‐penicillamine (D ‐PA) studied at the surface of ferrocene carboxylic acid modified carbon paste electrode (FCAMCPE) in aqueous media using cyclic voltammetry and double step potential chronoamperometry. It has been found that under optimum condition (pH 7.00), the oxidation of D ‐PA at surface of such an electrode is occurred about 420 mV less positive than that an unmodified carbon paste electrode (CPE). The catalytic oxidation peak current was linearly dependent on the D ‐PA concentration and a linear calibration curve was obtained in the ranges 7.5×10?5 M – 1.0×10?3 M and 6.5×10?6 M?1.0×10?4 M of D ‐PA with cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods respectively. The detection limits (3σ) were determined as 6.04×10?5 M and 6.15×10?6 M. This method was also used for the determination of D ‐PA in pharmaceutical preparation (capsules) by standard addition method.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective electrochemical method for the determination of L-cysteine was developed using a modified carbon paste electrode (MCPE) with quinizarine. Cyclic voltammetry was used to investigate the redox properties of this modified electrode at various solution pH values and at various scan rates. The apparent charge transfer rate constant, ks and transfer coefficient for electron transfer between quinizarine and carbon paste electrode (CPE) were calculated as 2.76 s?1 and 0.6, respectively. This modified carbon paste electrode shows excellent electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of L-cysteine in a phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.0). The linear range of 1.0 × 10?6 to 1.0 × 10?3 M and a detection limit (3s) of 2.2 × 10?7 M were observed in pH 7.0 phosphate buffer solutions. In differential pulse voltammetry, the quinizarine modified carbon paste electrode (QMCPE) could separate the oxidation peak potentials of L-cysteine and tryptophan present in the same solution, though at the unmodified CPE the peak potentials were indistinguishable. This work introduces a simple and easy approach to selective detection of L-cysteine in the presence of tryptophan. Also, the modified electrode was employed for the determination of L-cysteine in the real samples such as serum of blood and acetylcysteine tablet.  相似文献

The electrochemical oxidation of the antineoplastic agent etoposide was studied at carbon paste electrode in Britton-Robinson buffer solutions over the pH range 2.0-10.0 using cyclic, linear sweep and differential pulse voltammetry. Oxidation of the drug was effected in a single reversible, diffusion-controlled step within the pH range 2.0-4.0, a second oxidation process was produced above pH 4.0. Using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), the drug yielded a well-defined voltammetric response in Britton-Robinson buffer, pH 3.0 at 0.500 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) on carbon paste electrode. This process could be used to determine etoposide concentrations in the range 2.5 x 10(-7) to 2.5 x 10(-5) M with a detection limit of 1.0 x 10(-7) M. The method was successfully applied to the determination of the drug in spiked human serum.  相似文献

A carbon-paste electrode spiked with 1-[4-(ferrocenyl ethynyl)phenyl]-1-ethanone was constructed by the incorporation of 1-[4-(ferrocenyl ethynyl)phenyl]-1-ethanone in a graphite powder silicon oil matrix. It shown by cyclic voltammetry and double potential-step chronoamperometry, which this ferrocene derivative modified a carbon-paste electrode, can catalyze the ascorbic acid oxidation in an aqueous buffered solution. It has been found that under the optimum conditions (pH 7.00), the oxidation of ascorbic acid at the surface of this carbon paste modified electrode occurs at a potential of about 260 mV less positive than that of an unmodified carbon-paste electrode. The catalytic oxidation peak current was linearly dependent on the ascorbic acid concentration, and a linear calibration curve was obtained in the range of 6 x 10(-5) M-7 x 10(-3) M of ascorbic acid with a correlation coefficient of 0.9997. The detection limit (2sigma) was determined to be 6.3 x 10(-5) M. This method was also used for the determination of ascorbic acid in some pharmaceutical samples, such as effervescent tablets, ampoules and multivitamin syrup, by using a standard addition method. The reliability of the method was established by a parallel determination against the official method.  相似文献

A gold nanoparticles modified carbon paste electrode (GN‐CPE) was used as a highly sensitive electrochemical sensor for determination of tyrosine (Tyr), dopamine (DA) and uric acid (UA) in phosphate buffer solution (PBS). The study and measurements were carried out by using cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and chronoamperometry methods. In DPV, the GN‐CPE could separate the oxidation peak potentials of DA and UA present in the same solution, though at the unmodified CPE the peak potentials were indistinguishable. The prepared electrode showed voltammetric responses with high sensitivity and selectivity for Tyr, DA and UA in optimal conditions, which makes it very suitable for simultaneous determination of these compounds. The calibration curves for Try, DA and UA were linear for the concentrations of each species. The proposed voltammetric approach was also applied to the determination of Tyr concentration in human serum as a real sample.  相似文献

A voltammetric study of the oxidation of etodolac has been carried out at the glassy carbon electrode. The electrochemical oxidation of etodolac was investigated by cyclic, linear sweep, differential pulse and square wave voltammetry using glassy carbon electrode. Different parameters were tested to optimize the conditions for the determination of etodolac. The dependence of intensities of currents and potentials on pH, concentration, scan rate, nature of the buffer was investigated. For analytical purposes, a very well resolved diffusion controlled voltammetric peak was obtained in Britton-Robinson buffer at pH 2.15 for differential pulse and square wave voltammetric techniques. The linear response was obtained in the ranges of 2.10(-6)-8.10(-5) M with a detection limit of 6.8x10(-7) and 6x10(-6)-8x10(-5) M with a detection limit of 1.1x10(-6) M for differential pulse and square wave voltammetric techniques, respectively. Based on this study, simple, rapid, selective and sensitive two voltammetric methods were developed for the determination of the etodolac in tablet dosage form and human serum.  相似文献

A carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified by a monolayer film of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) was used for detection of dopamine (DA). Cyclic voltammetry demonstrated improved response of the DA sensor. This suggests the effectivity of surface modification of CPE by SDS. Impedance spectroscopy was used for the characterization of CPE surface properties. The effect of SDS concentration on the electrode quality also reveals that SDS formed a monolayer on CPE surface with a high density of negative-charged end directed outside the electrode. As a result, the carbon paste electrode modified with SDS (SDS/CPE) exerted discrimination against ascorbic acid in physiological circumstance. Thus, it can selectively determine dopamine even in the presence of 220-fold AA combined with differential pulse stripping voltammetry. In pH 7.40 phosphate buffer solution, the oxidation peak current on differential pulse voltammograms increases linearly with the concentration of DA in the range of 5.0 x 10(-7) to 8.0 x 10(-4) mol . L(-1) with a detection limit of 5.0 x 10(-8) mol . L(-1). Satisfying results are achieved when detecting the DA in injection and simulated biology sample.  相似文献

Conducting and stable poly (N-methylaniline) film was prepared by using the repeated potential cycling technique in aqueous solution containing N-methylaniline, sulfuric acid, and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) at the surface of carbon paste electrode (CPE). The transition metal ions of Co(ІІ) were incorporated to the polymer by immersion of the modified electrode in 0.1 M cobalt chloride solution for 10 min. The electrochemical characterization of this modified electrode exhibits stable redox behavior of Co(ІІ)Co(ІІІ) and formation of insoluble oxide/hydroxide cobalt species on the CPE surface. The modified electrode showed well-defined and stable redox couples in alkaline aqueous solution. The modified electrode showed excellent electrocatalytic activity for oxidation of hydrogen peroxide. The response of modified electrode toward the H2O2 oxidation was examined using cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, square wave voltammetry, and chronoamperometry. This modified electrode has many advantages such as simple preparation procedure, good reproducibility, and high catalytic activity toward the hydrogen peroxide oxidation. Such characteristics were explored for the specific determination of hydrogen peroxide in cosmetics product sample, giving results in excellent agreement with those obtained by standard method.  相似文献

An electrochemically prepared thin film of cobalt pentacyanonitrosylferrate (GC/CoPCNF) was used as a surface modifier for glassy carbon electrodes. The oxidation of ascorbic acid on a glassy carbon electrode modified with GC/CoPCNF as a working electrode was studied using cyclic voltammetry, rotating disk electrode (RDE) voltammetry and chronoamperometry in a 0.25 M KNO3 + 0.25 M phosphate buffer (pH 7) solution. The glassy carbon modified with CoPCNF showed good electrocatalytic activity toward ascorbic acid oxidation. The kinetics of the catalytic reaction was investigated, and the average value of the rate constant (k) for the catalytic reaction and the diffusion coefficient (D) were evaluated by different approaches for ascorbic acid, and were found to be 3.3 +/- 0.3 x 10(2) M(-1) s(-1) and 3.2 +/- 0.3 x 10(-6) cm2 s(-1), respectively.  相似文献

A chemically modified carbon paste electrode (CPE), consisting of 2,2''-[(1E)-(1,2-phenylenebis(azanylylidene)] bis(methanylylidene)]bis(benzene-1,4-diol) (PBD) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CNTs), was used to study the electrocatalytic oxidation of dopamine using cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). First, the electrochemical behavior of the modified electrode was investigated in buffer solution. Then the diffusion coefficient, electrocatalytic rate constant, and electron-transfer coefficient for dopamine oxidation at the surface of the PBD-modified CNT paste electrode were determined using electrochemical approaches. It was found that under optimum conditions (pH = 7.0), the oxidation of dopamine at the surface of such an electrode occurred at about 200 mV, lower than that of an unmodified CPE. DPV of dopamine at the modified electrode exhibited two linear dynamic ranges, with a detection limit of 1.0 μmol/L. Finally, DPV was used successfully for the simultaneous determination of dopamine, uric acid, and folic acid at the modified electrode, and detection limits of 1.0, 1.2, and 2.7 μmol/L were obtained for dopamine, uric acid, and folic acid, respectively. This method was also used for the determination of dopamine in a pharmaceutical preparation using the standard addition method.  相似文献

This work describes the promising activity of silver nanoparticles on the surface of a poly(2-amino diphenylamine) modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) towards formaldehyde oxidation. Electrodeposition of the conducting polymer film on the CPE was carried out using consecutive cyclic voltammetry in an aqueous solution of 2-aminodiphenylamine and HCl. Nitrogen groups in the polymer backbone had a Ag ion accumulating effect, allowing Ag nanoparticles to be electrochemically deposited on the surface of the electrode. The electrochemical and morphological characteristics of the modified electrode were investigated. The electro-oxidation of formaldehyde on the surface of electrode was studied using cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry in aqueous solution of 0.1 mol/L NaOH. The electro-oxidation onset potential was found to be around -0.4 V, which is unique in the literature. The effect of different concentrations of formaldehyde on the electrocatalytic activity of the modified electrode was investigated. Finally, the diffusion coefficient of formaldehyde in alkaline media was calculated to be 0.47 × 10-6 cm2/s using chronoamperometry.  相似文献

A nanogold modified carbon paste electrode (NG‐CPE) was fabricated and used as selective voltammetric sensor for determination of Tartrazine in the presence of Red 10B using cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), and chronoamperometry (CHA). Electrochemical parameters including the diffusion coefficient (D), the electron transfer coefficient (aXXXXX), and the electron transfer number (n) were determined for the oxidation of Tartrazine. This modified electrode can be applied to simultaneous determination of Tartrazine and Red 10B, because of considerable decreases of anodic overpotentials for both compounds. After optimizing the experimental conditions, the anodic peak current of Tartrazine was linear to its concentration in the range of 0.05‐1.5 μmol l?1, and the detection limit was 0.017 μmol l?1 in phosphate buffer solution (PBS) at pH 4.0. The modified electrode has good stability and repeatability. It was applied to the determination of Tartrazine and Red 10B in soft drinks with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of L ‐cysteine studied at the surface of ferrocenedicarboxylic acid modified carbon paste electrode (FDCMCPE) in aqueous media using cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and double potential step chronoamperometry. It has been found that under optimum condition (pH 8.00) in cyclic voltammetry, the oxidation of L ‐cysteine occurs at a potential about 200 mV less positive than that of an unmodified carbon paste electrode. The kinetic parameters such as electron transfer coefficient, α, and catalytic reaction rate constant, kh were also determined using electrochemical approaches. The electrocatalytic oxidation peak current of L ‐cysteine showed a linear dependent on the L ‐cysteine concentration and linear analytical curves were obtained in the ranges of 3.0×10?5 M–2.2×10?3 M and 1.5×10?5 M–3.2×10?3 M of L ‐cysteine concentration with cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods respectively. The detection limits (3σ) were determined as 2.6×10?5 M and 1.4×10?6 M by CV and DPV methods.  相似文献

The properties of graphite electrode (Gr) modified with poly(diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride) (PDDA) for the detection of uric acid (UA) in the presence of dopamine (DA) and high concentration of ascorbic acid (AA) have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and chronoamperometry. The polymer modified graphite electrode was prepared by a very simple method just by immersing the graphite electrode in PDDA solution for 20 minutes. The PDDA/Gr modified electrode displayed excellent electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of UA, DA and AA compared to that at the bare graphite electrode. The electrochemical oxidation signals of UA, DA and AA are well resolved into three distinct peaks with peak potential separations of 220 mV, 168 mV and 387 mV between AA‐DA, DA‐UA and AA‐UA respectively in cyclic voltammetry studies and the corresponding peak potential separations are 230 mV, 130 mV and 354 mV respectively in differential pulse voltammetry. The lowest detection limits obtained for UA, DA and AA were 1×10?7 M, 2×10?7 M and 800×10?9 M respectively. The PDDA/Gr electrode efficiently eliminated the interference of DA and a high concentration of AA in the determination of UA with good selectivity, sensitivity and reproducibility. The modified electrode was also successfully applied for simultaneous determination of UA, DA and AA in their ternary mixture.  相似文献

A carbon paste electrode spiked with 1‐[4‐ferrocenyl ethynyl) phenyl]‐1‐ethanone (4FEPE) was constructed by incorporation of 4FEPE in graphite powder‐paraffin oil matrix. It has been shown by direct current cyclic voltammetry and double step chronoamperometry that this electrode can catalyze the oxidation of tryptophan (Trp) in aqueous buffered solution. It has been found that under optimum condition (pH 7.00), the oxidation of Trp at the surface of such an electrode occurs at a potential about 200 mV less positive than at an unmodified carbon paste electrode. The kinetic parameters such as electron transfer coefficient, α and rate constant for the chemical reaction between Trp and redox sites in 4FEPE modified carbon paste electrode (4FEPEMCPE) were also determined using electrochemical approaches. The electrocatalytic oxidation peak current of Trp showed a linear dependent on the Trp concentrations and linear calibration curves were obtained in the ranges of 6.00×10?6 M–3.35×10?3 M and 8.50×10?7 M–6.34×10?5 M of Trp concentration with cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods, respectively. The detection limits (3σ) were determined as 1.80×10?6 M and 5.60×10?7 M by CV and DPV methods. This method was also examined as a selective, simple and precise new method for voltammetric determination of tryptophan in real sample.  相似文献

The electrochemical properties of hydrazine studied at the surface of a carbon paste electrode spiked with p‐bromanil (tetrabromo‐p‐benzoquinone) using cyclic voltammetry (CV), double potential‐step chronoamperometry and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in aqueous media. The results show this quinone derivative modified carbon paste electrode, can catalyze the hydrazine oxidation in an aqueous buffered solution. It has been found that under the optimum conditions (pH 10.00), the oxidation of hydrazine at the surface of this carbon paste modified electrode occurs at a potential of about 550 mV less positive than that of a bar carbon paste electrode. The electrocatalytic oxidation peak current of hydrazine showed a linear dependent on the hydrazine concentrations and linear analytical curves were obtained in the ranges of 6.00×10?5 M–8.00×10?3 M and 7.00×10?6 M–8.00×10?4 M of hydrazine concentration with CV and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods, respectively. The detection limits (3σ) were determined as 3.6×10?5 M and 5.2×10?6 M by CV and DPV methods. This method was also used for the determination of hydrazine in the real sample (waste water of the Mazandaran wood and paper factory) by standard addition method.  相似文献
