Density ρ, viscosity η, and refractive index nD, values for (tetradecane + benzene, + toluene, + chlorobenzene, + bromobenzene, + anisole) binary mixtures over the entire range of mole fraction have been measured at temperatures (298.15, 303.15, and 308.15) K at atmospheric pressure. The speed of sound u has been measured at T = 298.15 K only. Using these data, excess molar volume VE, deviations in viscosity Δη, Lorentz–Lorenz molar refraction ΔR, speed of sound Δu, and isentropic compressibility Δks have been calculated. These results have been fitted to the Redlich and Kister polynomial equation to estimate the binary interaction parameters and standard deviations. Excess molar volumes have exhibited both positive and negative trends in many mixtures, depending upon the nature of the second component of the mixture. For the (tetradecane + chlorobenzene) binary mixture, an incipient inversion has been observed. Calculated thermodynamic quantities have been discussed in terms of intermolecular interactions between mixing components.  相似文献

Density, ρ, speed of sound, u, and refractive index, nD, at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure have been measured over the entire composition range for (toluene + methyl acetate + butyl acetate) and (toluene + methyl acetate + methyl heptanoate) systems. Excess molar volumes, VE, isentropic compressibility, κs, isentropic compressibility deviations, Δκs, and changes of refractive index on mixing, ΔnD, for the above systems, have been calculated from experimental data and fitted to Cibulka, Singh et al., and Nagata and Sakura equations, standard deviations from the regression lines are shown. Geometrical solution models, Tsao and Smith, Kholer, Jacob and Fitzner, Rastogi et al. were also applied to predict ternary properties from binary contributions.  相似文献

Densities, ρ speeds of sound, u and dynamic viscosities, η of the ternary mixtures {dimethyl carbonate (DMC) + methanol + ethanol} and (dimethyl carbonate + methanol + hexane) were gathered at T = (293.15, 298.15, 308.15, and 313.15) K. From experimental data viscosity deviations, Δη of the ternary mixtures were evaluated. These results have been correlated using the Cibulka equation. The fitting parameters and the standard deviations of the ternary viscosity deviations are given. UNIFAC-VISCO group contribution method was used to predict the dynamic viscosities of the ternary mixtures at several temperatures.  相似文献

Excess molar enthalpies of (2- butanone  +  cyclohexane, or methylcyclohexane, or toluene, or chlorobenzene, or cyclohexanone) and excess molar heat capacities of (2- butanone  +  benzene, or toluene, or chlorobenzene, or cyclohexanone) were measured atT =  298.15 K. Aliphatic systems were endothermic and the chlorobenzene system was exothermic. On the other hand, the toluene system changed sign to be S-shaped similar to the benzene system reported by Kiyohara et al. The values of excess molar enthalpies of the present mixtures were slightly larger than the corresponding mixtures of cyclohexanone already reported. Excess molar heat capacities of aromatic systems were characteristically S-shaped for the mixture containing aromatics. The values of the present mixtures were less than the corresponding mixtures of cyclohexanone. The mixture (2-butanone  +  cyclohexanone) was endothermic forHmE and negative for Cp,mE.  相似文献

Densities and viscosities of the pure ionic liquid 1-methylimidazolium acetate ([Mim]Ac) and its binary mixtures with methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, and 1-butanol were measured at temperature ranging from T = (293.15 to 313.15) K. The thermal expansion coefficient, molecular volume, standard entropy, and lattice energy of [Mim]Ac were deduced from the experimental density results. A simple linear equation was used to correlate the variation of viscosity of [Mim]Ac with temperature. Excess molar volumes VE and viscosity deviations Δη for the binary mixtures at above mentioned temperature were calculated and fitted to the Redlich–Kister equation with satisfactory results. Excess molar volumes for {[Mim]Ac + 1-butanol} mixture have an S shape, while those for other mixtures have a negative deviation from ideal behaviour over the entire mole fraction range. Viscosity deviations are all negative deviation for {[Mim]Ac + alcohol} mixtures. The results were interpreted in terms of interactions and structural factors of binary mixtures.  相似文献

Densities and viscosities of binary liquid mixtures of (1-hexanol  + n -hexane, or cyclohexane, or benzene) have been measured at a number of mole fractions at T =  (303, 313, and 323) K. The excess molar volume VmEand apparent molar volume Vφhave been calculated from the density data. TheVmE anddVmE / dT for the system, (1-hexanol  + n -hexane) have been found negative, while those for the systems, (1-hexanol  +  cyclohexane) and (1-hexanol  +  benzene), were found to be positive. Excess viscosities ηEcalculated from viscosity data, have been found to be negative over the whole composition range at the temperatures studied for all the three systems. Volumetric and viscometric behaviours indicate that dispersion is the major force of interaction between the components in (1-hexanol  +  cyclohexane, or benzene), while inclusion of hydrocarbon chains into the interstices of polymolecular ring structures of alcohol formed by hydrogen bonding has been assumed to play a significant role apart from dispersion in the system (1-hexanol  + n -hexane). Thermodynamic parameters of activation for viscous flow have been calculated from the viscosity data at different temperatures and a possible explanation suggested.  相似文献

The density, ultrasonic velocity, and viscosity of binary mixtures of (anisaldehyde + o-cresol, or +m-cresol, or +p-cresol) have been measured over the entire range of composition at T = (303.15, 308.15, 313.15, and 318.15) K. Using these data, various thermo-acoustic parameters such as deviation in adiabatic compressibility, Δβ, excess molar volume, VE, viscosity deviation, Δη and excess Gibb’s free energy of activation for viscous flow, ΔG1E have been calculated. The calculated deviation and excess functions have been fitted to the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation. The negative and positive values of deviation or excess thermo-acoustic parameters observed have been explained on the basis of the intermolecular interactions present in these mixtures.  相似文献

The densities ρ, dynamic viscosities η, speeds of sound u, and relative permittivities εr, for (dibutyl ether + benzene, or toluene, or p-xylene) have been measured at different temperatures over the whole composition range and at atmospheric pressure. The mixture viscosities have been correlated with semi empirical equations. Calculations of the speed of sound based on Nomoto’s equation have been found to be close to experimental values for the three mixtures and at two temperatures. Excess functions such as excess molar volumes VmE, excess isentropic compressibilities κsE, deviations in relative permittivities δεr, and molar polarizations δPm were calculated and fitted to Redlich–Kister type equations.  相似文献

The excess molar volumes VmE at T=298.15 have been determined in the whole composition domain for (2-methoxyethanol + tetrahydrofuran + cyclohexane) and for the parent binary mixtures. Data on VmE are also reported for (2-ethoxyethanol + cyclohexane). All binaries showed positive VmE values, small for (methoxyethanol + tetrahydrofuran) and large for the other ones. The ternary VmE surface is always positive and exhibits a smooth trend with a maximum corresponding to the binary (2-methoxyethanol + cyclohexane). The capabilities of various models of either predicting or reproducing the ternary data have been compared. The behaviour of VmE and of the excess apparent molar volume of the components is discussed in both binary and ternary mixtures. The results suggest that hydrogen bonding decreases with alcohol dilution and increases with the tetrahydrofuran content in the ternary solutions.  相似文献

Densities, ρ, and speeds of sound, u, of systems formed by 1-heptanol, or 1-octanol, or 1-decanol and dibutylether have been measured at a temperature of (293.15, 298.15, and 303.15) K and atmospheric pressure using a vibrating tube densimeter and sound analyser Anton Paar model DSA-5000. The ρ and u values were used to calculate excess molar volumes, VE, and deviations from the ideal behaviour of the thermal expansion coefficient, Δαp and of the isentropic compressibilities, ΔκS. The available database on molar excess enthalpies, HE, and VE for (1-alkanol + linear monoether) systems was used to investigate interactional and structural effects in such mixtures. The enthalpy of the OH?O bonds is lower for methanol solutions, and for the remainder systems, it is practically independent of the mixture compounds. The VE variation with the chain length of the 1-alkanol points out the existence of structural effects for systems including longer 1-alkanols. The ERAS model is applied to the studied mixtures. ERAS represents quite accurately HE and VE data using parameters which consistently depend on the molecular structure.  相似文献

Viscosities at T = (293.15, 298.15, and 303.15) K in the binary mixtures of ethyl tert-butyl ether with 2-ethoxyethanol, 2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethanol, and 2-[2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethoxy]ethanol have been measured over the entire range of mixture compositions. From the experimental data, deviations in the viscosity (Δln η) and excess energies of activation for viscous flow (ΔG1E) have been calculated. The viscosity data were correlated with equations of Hind et al., Grunberg and Nissan, Auslaender, and McAllister. The results for Δln η and ΔG1E are discussed in terms of intermolecular interactions and structure of studied binary mixtures.  相似文献

Densities, ρ, and viscosities, η, of aqueous solutions of N-(2-hydroxyethyl)morpholine were measured over the entire composition range at T = (293.15, 303.15, 313.15, 323.15, 333.15) K and at atmospheric pressure. The excess molar volumes VE and viscosity deviations ηE of aqueous solutions were calculated from the experimental results of density and viscosity measurements and fitted to the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation. Apparent molar volumes V?, partial molar volume at infinite dilution V, and the thermal expansion coefficient α were also calculated. The VE values were found to be negative over the entire composition range at all temperatures studied and become less negative with increasing temperature, whereas the viscosity data ηE exhibited positive deviations from ideal behaviour.  相似文献

Isothermal (vapour  +  liquid) equilibria were measured for (trichloromethane  +  tetrahydropyran or piperidine) at T =  333.15 K and {1-bromo-1-chloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane (halothane)  +  tetrahydropyran or piperidine} atT =  323.15 K with a circulation still. The results were verified by effective statistical procedures and used to calculate activity coefficients and excess molar Gibbs free energiesGmE . Excess molar enthalpiesHmE for these mixtures were determined at T =  298.15 K by means of an isothermal CSC microcalorimeter equipped with recently reconstructed flow mixing cells. Reliable performance of the calorimetric setup was proved by the good agreement of HmEfor (hexane  +  cyclohexane), (2-propanone  +  water), and (methanol  +  water), with the best literature results. The trichloromethane- or halothane-containing mixtures exhibit strong negative deviations from Raoult’s law and are highly exothermic, thus indicating that complex formation via hydrogen bonding is a governing nonideality effect. A close similarity in the behaviour of corresponding mixtures with trichloromethane and halothane is observed, but for halothane-containing mixtures,GmE and HmEare consistently more negative, confirming that halothane is a more powerful proton donor than chloroform.  相似文献

The densities and flow times of binary mixtures of N-methylacetamide with acetophenone, propiophenone, paramethyl acetophenone and parachloro acetophenone have been determined at T = 308.15 K and are employed to calculate the excess molar volumes, viscosities and deviations in viscosity over the entire range of mole fraction. All isotherms of VE as a function of composition of ketones show negative deviations except propiophenone, whereas all isotherms of Δη as a function of composition of ketones record negative deviations except parachloro acetophenone. The VE and Δη values are fitted to a Redlich–Kister type equation. The results are interpreted in terms of molecular interactions occurring in the solutions.  相似文献

Density and viscosity measurements for binary mixtures of (1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane + 1-pentanol, or + 1-hexanol, or + 1-heptanol, or + 1-octanol, or + 1-decanol) at T = (293.15 and 303.15) K, have been conducted at atmospheric pressure. The excess molar volumes VE, have been calculated from the experimental measurements, and the results were fitted to Redlich–Kister equation. The viscosity data were correlated with the model of Grunberg and Nissan, and McAllister four-body model. The excess molar volumes of (1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane + 1-pentanol, or + 1-haxanol, or + 1-heptanol, or + 1-octanol) had a sigmoidal shape and the values varied from negative to positive with the increase in the molar fraction of 1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane. The remaining binary mixture of (1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane + 1-decanol) was positive over the entire composition range. The effects of the 1-alkanol chain length as well as the temperature on the excess molar volume have been studied. The results have been qualitatively used to explain the molecular interaction between the components of these mixtures.  相似文献

The vapour pressures of binary (cyclohexanone + 1-chlorobutane, + 1,1,1-trichloroethane) mixtures were measured at the temperatures of (298.15, 308.15, and 318.15) K. The vapour pressures vs. liquid phase composition data have been used to calculate the excess molar Gibbs free energies GE of the investigated systems, using Barker’s method. Redlich–Kister, Wilson, UNIQUAC, and NRTL equations, taking into account the vapour phase imperfection in terms of the 2-nd virial coefficient, have represented the GE values. No significant difference between GE values obtained with these equations has been observed.  相似文献

Densities, viscosities, speed of sound, and IR spectroscopy of binary mixtures of tert-butyl acetate (TBA) with benzene, methylbenzene, and ethylbenzene have been measured over the entire range of composition, at (298.15 and 308.15) K and at atmospheric pressure. From the experimental values of density, viscosity, speed of sound, and IR spectroscopy; excess molar volumes VE, deviations in viscosity Δη, deviations in isentropic compressibility Δκs and stretching frequency ν have been calculated. The excess molar volumes and deviations in isentropic compressibility are positive for the binaries studied over the whole composition, while deviations in viscosities are negative for the binary mixtures. The excess molar volumes, deviations in viscosity, and deviations in isentropic compressibility have been fitted to the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation. The Jouyban–Acree model is used to correlate the experimental values of density, viscosity, and speed of sound.  相似文献

In this work, density and viscosity have been determined for (polyethylene glycol dimethyl ether 250 + 1,2-propanediol, or 1,2-butanediol, or 1,2-pentanediol, or 1,2-hexanediol) binary systems over the whole concentration range at temperatures of (293.15, 303.15, 313.15, 323.15) K and atmospheric pressure. Experimental data of mixtures were used to calculate the excess molar volumes VE, and viscosity deviations Δη. These results were fitted by the Redlich–Kister polynomial relation to obtain the coefficients and standard deviations.  相似文献

The vapor pressures of liquid hex-1-yne or hex-2-yne + methyl 1,1-dimethylethyl ether (MTBE) binary mixtures and of the three pure components were measured by a static method at several temperatures between 263 and 343 K. These data were correlated with the Antoine equation. Excess molar Gibbs energies GE were calculated for several constant temperatures, taking into account the vapor-phase imperfection in terms of the second molar virial coefficients, and were fitted to the Redlich–Kister equation. Calorimetric excess enthalpy HE measurements, for these binary mixtures, are also reported at 298.15 K. The experimental VLE and HE data were used, examining the binary mixtures hex-1-yne or hex-2-yne + MTBE in the framework of the DISQUAC and modified UNIFAC (Do) models. The DISQUAC calculations, reporting a new set of interaction parameters for the contact carbon–carbon triple bond/oxygen ether, is regarded as a preliminary approach.  相似文献

The measurement of excess enthalpies, HE, at T=298.15 K and densities at temperatures between 283.15 K and 313.15 K are reported for the (2-methoxyethanol + 1,4-dioxane) and (1,2-dimethoxyethane + benzene) systems. The values of HE and the excess volumes, VE, are positive, and the temperature dependence of VE is quite small for (2-methoxyethanol + 1,4-dioxane). The (1,2-dimethoxyethane + benzene) system shows a negative HE and sigmoid curves in VE, which change sign from positive to negative with an increase in 1,2-dimethoxyethane. The temperature dependence of VE for this system is negative.  相似文献
