The photon-added spin coherent state as a new kind of coherent state has been defined by iterated actions of the proper raising operator on the ordinary spin coherent state. In this paper, the quantum statistical properties of photon-added spin coherent states such as photon number distribution, second-order correlation function and Wigner function are studied. It is found that the Wigner function shows the negativity in some regions and the second-order correlation function is less than unity. Therefore, the photon-added spin coherent state is a nonclassical state.  相似文献

We consider the superpositions of spin coherent states and study the coherence properties and spin squeezing in these states. The spin squeezing is examined using a new version of spectroscopic squeezing criteria. The results show that the antibuching effect can be enhanced and spin squeezing can be generated in the superpositions of two spin coherent states.  相似文献

在周期性脉冲撞击的两分量玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚系统中研究了自旋压缩动力学性质,结果表明:原子自旋压缩动力学能够揭示相空间的混沌和规则结构,即当初始相干态处在混沌区域时,自旋压缩在很短时间后消失,而当初始相干态处在规则区域时,自旋压缩则存在很长时间.特别是随着时间的演化,系统的平均自旋方向的分布和摆动也与初态所处的空间结构有着密切的联系.最后,研究了相空间的整体自旋压缩动力学,得到了一种较好的量子-经典对应. 关键词: 玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚 混沌 自旋压缩 平均自旋方向  相似文献

研究了囚禁在光晶格中的旋量玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体(BEC)形成的原子自旋链中的相干非线性自旋波的激发与调制不稳定性.通过解析分析,得到了调制不稳定性的一般判据以及其对原子自旋的长程耦合的依赖关系.在蓝失谐和红失谐光晶格的情况下,分别具体分析了长程非线性自旋耦合,包括光诱导的和静磁诱导的偶极-偶极相互作用对相干自旋波调制不稳定性的影响.  相似文献

Definition and formulas for harmonic oscillator coherent states and spin coherent states are reviewed in detail. The path integral formalism and its relation with the partition function of a system are also reviewed. The harmonic oscillator coherent state path integral is evaluated exactly at the discrete level and then used to find its continuum limit using various regularizations. The computation of the path integral for a particle of spin s put in a constant magnetic field is carried out using harmonic oscillator coherent states and spin coherent states, with a careful analysis of infinitesimal terms (in 1/N where N is the number of time slices) appearing in the Lagrangian. A mapping of the spin system into a CP1 model is shown explicitly. The theory of a spinless particle in the field of a magnetic monopole and its relation with the spin system are explained. The equivalence of these two models is established up to infinitesimal order by the introduction of an external field correction. This gives a new representation of a coherent state path integral in terms of a more familiar Feynman path integral.  相似文献

We study the coherent state excitation of spins in square nanodots induced by a magnetic microwave field. We present a new mechanism of spin reversal in nanodots. That is, the microwave field directly induces the reversal of the coherent‐state spins instead of indirectly through the magnetic vortex. We obtain the space distribution of coherent‐state spins in terms of a quantum theory, and calculate the time of spin reversal. This spin‐reversal process may be used to serve as a storage mechanism of binary information.  相似文献

We report on the coherent optical excitation of electron spin polarization in the ground state of charged GaAs quantum dots via an intermediate charged exciton (trion) state. Coherent optical fields are used for the creation and detection of the Raman spin coherence between the spin ground states of the charged quantum dot. The measured spin decoherence time, which is likely limited by the nature of the spin ensemble, approaches 10 ns at zero field. We also show that the Raman spin coherence in the quantum beats is caused not only by the usual stimulated Raman interaction but also by simultaneous spontaneous radiative decay of either excited trion state to a coherent combination of the two spin states.  相似文献

We present the calculation and comparison of tunnel splitting at excited levels of biaxial spin models by various methods, including the generalized instanton method, the generalized path integral method for coherent spin states, the perturbation method, and the exact method by numerical diagonalization of the Hamiltonian. It is found that, for integer spin with spin number around 10, tunnel splitting predicted by the generalized path integral for coherent spin states is about 10^{-n} times of the exact numerical result for the nth excited level, while the ratio of the results of the perturbation method and the exact numerical method diverges in the large spin limit. We thus conclude that the generalized instanton method is the best approximate way for calculating tunnel splitting in spin models.  相似文献

We report cw and coherent transient studies on electronic and nuclear magnetic transitions of the nitrogen-vacancy centre in diamond using an optical-rf double resonance technique: Raman heterodyne detection. Emphasis is placed on the coherent transient measurements to illustrate the versatility of the detection technique, which is not only very sensitive but is also ideal in this case since it is based on a coherent process. In this paper we show that Raman heterodyne detection can be used to obtain a wide range of signals including nutation, spin echo, rotary echo and spin locking in a single system. Finally an example of using coherent transients to test the validity of the Bloch equation is given.  相似文献

We demonstrate coherent optical control of a single hole spin confined to an InAs/GaAs quantum dot. A superposition of hole-spin states is created by fast (10-100?ps) dissociation of a spin-polarized electron-hole pair. Full control of the hole spin is achieved by combining coherent rotations about two axes: Larmor precession of the hole spin about an external Voigt geometry magnetic field, and rotation about the optical axis due to the geometric phase shift induced by a picosecond laser pulse resonant with the hole-trion transition.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of spin coherence in InGaAs quantum dots is obtained from quantum beats observed in polarization-resolved pump-probe experiments. Within the same sample we clearly distinguish between coherent spin dynamics leading to quantum beats and incoherent long-lived spin-memory effects. Analysis of the coherent data using a theoretical model reveals approximately 10 times greater stability of the spin coherence at high temperature compared to that found previously for exciton states in four-wave-mixing experiments by Borri et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 87, 157401 (2001)]]. The data on incoherent polarization reveal a new form of spin memory based on charged quantum dots.  相似文献

In a previous paper, the coherent state representation of spin wave states was used to derive the low temperature expansion for the free energy of the Heisenberg model of a ferromagnet. In this paper, the same formalism is applied to anisotropic systems which are usually described semiclassically. The coherent state parameters are shown to be ideally suited for describing certain of the resulting helical spin configurations. The coherent state approach emphasizes the analogy of these states to superfluid boson systems. A model spin Hamiltonian appropriate to Erbium is chosen and discussed in this light. In particular, the transition in a transverse magnetic field from the ground state cone configuration to a fan configuration, the stability and possible metastability of these states and the fluctuations about them are investigated. Numerical estimates show at least qualitative agreement with experiment.  相似文献
