The behavior of a scalar field theory near the event horizon in a rotating black hole background can be effectively described by a two dimensional field theory in a gauge field background. Based on this fact, we proposal that the quantum tunneling from rotating black hole can be treated as “charged” particle’s tunneling process in its effectively two dimensional metric. Using this viewpoint and considering the corresponding “gauge charge” conservation, we calculate the non-thermal tunneling rate of Kerr black hole and Myers–Perry black hole, and results are consistent with Parikh–Wilczek’s original result for spherically symmetric black holes. Especially for Myers–Perry black hole which has multi-rotation parameters, our calculation fills in the gap existing in the literature applying Parikh–Wilczek’s tunneling method to various types black holes. Our derivation further illuminates the essential role of effective gauge symmetry in Hawking radiation from rotating black holes.  相似文献

We study the effect of an external magnetic field on the stability of circular motion around a five dimensional Myers–Perry metric. Using the Hamilton–Jacobi formalism we derive the effective potential for the radial motion of charged particles around a five dimensional rotating black hole in a uniform magnetic field. We show that there are stable circular orbits around a five dimensional rotating black hole immersed in a uniform magnetic field.  相似文献

We consider a charged five-dimensional Myers–Perry black hole in a uniform magnetic (test) field. Using the Komar mass formula, we calculate the total energy of the electromagnetic field within the truncation three-sphere for a five-dimensional rotating black hole with two equal-rotation parameters and two equal-magnetic field strengths. We show that the total electromagnetic energy takes the minimum value when the five-dimensional rotating black hole acquires a non-zero net electric charge Q.  相似文献

It is well known that Hawking radiation can be treated as a quantum tunneling process of particles from the event horizon of black hole. In this paper, we attempt to apply the massive vector bosons tunneling method to study the Hawking radiation from the non-rotating and rotating dilaton black holes. Starting with the Proca field equation that govern the dynamics of massive vector bosons, we derive the tunneling probabilities and radiation spectrums of the emitted vector bosons from the static spherical symmetric dilatonic black hole, the rotating Kaluza-Klein black hole, and the rotating Kerr-Sen black hole. Comparing the results with the blackbody spectrum, we satisfactorily reproduce the Hawking temperatures of these dilaton black holes, which are consistent with the previous results in the literature.

We investigated the tendency in the variations of CFT2 when a rotating AdS3 black hole changes because of the fluxes transferred by the scattering of a massive scalar field according to the anti-de Sitter (AdS)/conformal field theory (CFT) correspondence. The conserved quantities of the black hole are definitely constrained by the extremal condition. Moreover, the laws of thermodynamics provide a direction for the changes in the conserved quantities. Therefore, the black hole cannot be extremal under the scattering; this is naturally preferred. According to the relationship between the rotating AdS3 black hole and dual CFT2, we find that such changes in the black hole constrain the variations in the eigenstates of dual CFT2. Furthermore, the tendency in the variations is closely related to the laws of thermodynamics.  相似文献

As a consequence of Birkhoff's theorem, the exterior gravitational field of a spherically symmetric star or black hole is always given by the Schwarzschild metric. In contrast, the exterior gravitational field of a rotating (axisymmetric) star differs, in general, from the Kerr metric, which describes a stationary, rotating black hole. In this paper I discuss the possibility of a quasi–stationary transition from rotating equilibrium configurations of normal matter to rotating bla ck holes.  相似文献

The spacetime metric for a rotating black hole in a quintessential field can take various forms owing to the ambiguity of the state equation for quintessential dark energy in rotating spacetime. Herein, to provide a more physical solution, the metric is determined by imposing the laws of thermodynamics of a black hole, which is typically valid in most systems. The new metric ensures the validity of the first and second laws of thermodynamics and can degenerate to the known non-rotating metric in the quintessential field. Moreover, we set an upper limit for the black hole rotation parameter, a, in our metric according to the weak energy condition(WEC).  相似文献

Two new ponderomotive effects in black hole physics are indicated: (i) the precession of the rotation axis of a charged black hole in an external magnetic field, (ii) the drift of a non-charged rotating hole in an asymmetric homogeneous electromagnetic field posessing a non-zero Poynting vector. The precession time for a black hole of solar mass with Q = 10?5M in a magnetic field B ~ 1012G is about a year.  相似文献

The motion of axisymmetric non rotating black holes is discussed using the properties of Weyl solutions. It is shown that there are no such solutions representing more than one black hole or black holes and ordinary massive bodies apart from the exceptional case of a massive body which surrounds or partially surrounds a black hole. A new exact solution is obtained representing a black hole chased by a negative mass particle, both objects being uniformly accelerated and all solutions representing a single black hole tidally distorted by an external static, axisymmetric gravitational field are obtained.  相似文献

In this work, the solution of the Einstein equations for a slowly rotating black hole with Born-Infeld charge is obtained. Geometrical properties and horizons of this solution are analyzed. The conditions when the ADM mass (as in the nonlinear static cases) and the ADM angular momentum of the system have been modified by the non linear electromagnetic field of the black hole, are considered.  相似文献

We study the Hawking radiation of the scalar field in the rotating Godel black hole in minimal five-dimensional supergravity. We not only derive radiation spectra that satisfy the unitary principle but also obtain the correction term of Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. The conclusion will help us learn more about the rotating Godel black hole in minimal five-dimensional supergravity. This provides a greater understanding of the thermal radiation of black holes.  相似文献

We consider the bound states of the massive scalar field around a rotating black hole immersed in the asymptotically uniform magnetic field. In the regime of slow black hole rotation, the Klein–Gordon equation allows separation of variables. We show that the growth rate of the instability can be amplified a few times by the magnetic field. The effect occurs because the magnetic field adds the “effective mass” term B|m|B|m| to the scalar field potential for a Kerr black hole. In addition, and as a by-product, we discuss the behavior of the quasinormal modes for the magnetized rotating black holes.  相似文献

We derive the expression for the electromagnetic field of a point charge at rest on the symmetry axis near a rotating Kerr black hole. This is a generalization of the previously obtained solution for the field of a point charge near a nonrotating Schwarzschild black hole. Unlike the Schwarzschild case the charge is found to give rise to magnetic fields as seen by a stationary or locally nonrotating observer.  相似文献

In the context of f(R) theories of gravity, we address the problem of finding a rotating charged black hole solution in the case of constant curvature. A new metric is obtained by solving the field equations and we show that its behaviour is typical of a rotating charged source. In addition, we analyse the thermodynamics of the new black hole. The results ensure that the thermodynamical properties in f(R) gravities are qualitatively similar to those of standard General Relativity.  相似文献

We study the coupling of massive scalar fields to matter in orbit around rotating black holes. It is generally expected that orbiting bodies will lose energy in gravitational waves, slowly inspiraling into the black hole. Instead, we show that the coupling of the field to matter leads to a surprising effect: because of superradiance, matter can hover into "floating orbits" for which the net gravitational energy loss at infinity is entirely provided by the black hole's rotational energy. Orbiting bodies remain floating until they extract sufficient angular momentum from the black hole, or until perturbations or nonlinear effects disrupt the orbit. For slowly rotating and nonrotating black holes floating orbits are unlikely to exist, but resonances at orbital frequencies corresponding to quasibound states of the scalar field can speed up the inspiral, so that the orbiting body sinks. These effects could be a smoking gun of deviations from general relativity.  相似文献

In this paper, by using quantum statistical method, we obtain the partition function of Bose field and Fermi field on the background of the 5-dimensional rotating black hole. Then via the improved brick-wall method and membrane model, we calculate the entropy of Bose field and Fermi field of the black hole. And it is obtained that the entropy of the black hole is not only related to the area of the outer horizon but also is the function of inner horizon‘s area. In our results, there are not the left out term and the divergent logarithmic term in the original brick-wall method. The doubt that why the entropy of the scalar or Dirac field outside the event horizon is the entropy of the black hole in the original brick-wall method does not exist. The influence of spinning degeneracy of particles on entropy of the black hole is also given. It is shown that the entropy determined by the areas of the inner and outer horizons will approach zero, when the radiation temperature of the black hole approaches absolute zero. It satisfies Nernst theorem. The entropy can be taken as the Planck absolute entropy. We provide a way to study higher dimensional black hole.  相似文献

In this work, we study the optical properties of a class of magnetically charged rotating black hole spacetimes. The black holes in question are assumed to be immersed in the quintessence field, and subsequently, the resulting black hole shadows are expected to be modified by the presence of dark energy. We investigate the photon region and the black hole shadow, especially their dependence on the relevant physical conditions, such as the quintessence state parameter, angular momentum, and magnetic charge magnitude. The photon regions depend sensitively on the horizon structure and possess intricate features. Moreover, from the viewpoint of a static observer, we explore a few observables, especially those associated with the distortion of the observed black hole shadows.  相似文献
