It is shown that for any t, 0<t<∞, there is a Jordan arc Γ with endpoints 0 and 1 such that G\{1} í \mathbbD:={z:|z| < 1}\Gamma\setminus\{1\}\subseteq\mathbb{D}:=\{z:|z|<1\} and with the property that the analytic polynomials are dense in the Bergman space \mathbbAt(\mathbbD\G)\mathbb{A}^{t}(\mathbb{D}\setminus\Gamma) . It is also shown that one can go further in the Hardy space setting and find such a Γ that is in fact the graph of a continuous real-valued function on [0,1], where the polynomials are dense in Ht(\mathbbD\G)H^{t}(\mathbb{D}\setminus\Gamma) ; improving upon a result in an earlier paper.  相似文献

Let M be (2n-1)\mathbbCP2#2n[`(\mathbbCP)]2(2n-1)\mathbb{CP}^{2}\#2n\overline{\mathbb{CP}}{}^{2} for any integer n≥1. We construct an irreducible symplectic 4-manifold homeomorphic to M and also an infinite family of pairwise non-diffeomorphic irreducible non-symplectic 4-manifolds homeomorphic to M. We also construct such exotic smooth structures when M is \mathbbCP2#4[`(\mathbbCP)]2\mathbb{CP}{}^{2}\#4\overline {\mathbb{CP}}{}^{2} or 3\mathbbCP2#k[`(\mathbbCP)]23\mathbb{CP}{}^{2}\#k\overline{\mathbb{CP}}{}^{2} for k=6,8,10.  相似文献

We study the limiting behavior of the K?hler–Ricci flow on \mathbbP(O\mathbbPn ?O\mathbbPn(-1)?(m+1)){{\mathbb{P}(\mathcal{O}_{\mathbb{P}^n} \oplus \mathcal{O}_{\mathbb{P}^n}(-1)^{\oplus(m+1)})}} for m, n ≥ 1, assuming the initial metric satisfies the Calabi symmetry. We show that the flow either shrinks to a point, collapses to \mathbbPn{{\mathbb{P}^n}} or contracts a subvariety of codimension m + 1 in the Gromov–Hausdorff sense. We also show that the K?hler–Ricci flow resolves a certain type of cone singularities in the Gromov–Hausdorff sense.  相似文献

A Toeplitz operator TfT_\phi with symbol f\phi in L(\mathbbD)L^{\infty}({\mathbb{D}}) on the Bergman space A2(\mathbbD)A^{2}({\mathbb{D}}), where \mathbbD\mathbb{D} denotes the open unit disc, is radial if f(z) = f(|z|)\phi(z) = \phi(|z|) a.e. on \mathbbD\mathbb{D}. In this paper, we consider the numerical ranges of such operators. It is shown that all finite line segments, convex hulls of analytic images of \mathbbD\mathbb{D} and closed convex polygonal regions in the plane are the numerical ranges of radial Toeplitz operators. On the other hand, Toeplitz operators TfT_\phi with f\phi harmonic on \mathbbD\mathbb{D} and continuous on [`(\mathbbD)]{\overline{\mathbb{D}}} and radial Toeplitz operators are convexoid, but certain compact quasinilpotent Toeplitz operators are not.  相似文献

Let ${\mathbb{A}}Let \mathbbA{\mathbb{A}} be a universal algebra of signature Ω, and let I{\mathcal{I}} be an ideal in the Boolean algebra P\mathbbA{\mathcal{P}_{\mathbb{A}}} of all subsets of \mathbbA{\mathbb{A}} . Let ${s,\,\tau\in\mathbb{R}}Let s, t ? \mathbbR{s,\,\tau\in\mathbb{R}} and q ? (0,¥]{q\in(0,\infty]} . We introduce Besov-type spaces [(B)\dot]s, tpq(\mathbbRn){{{{\dot B}^{s,\,\tau}_{p,\,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}}} for p ? In this paper we study the problem of explicitly constructing a dimension expander raised by [3]: Let \mathbbFn \mathbb{F}^n be the n dimensional linear space over the field \mathbbF\mathbb{F}. Find a small (ideally constant) set of linear transformations from \mathbbFn \mathbb{F}^n to itself {A i } iI such that for every linear subspace V ⊂ \mathbbFn \mathbb{F}^n of dimension dim(V)<n/2 we have
dim( ?i ? I Ai (V) ) \geqslant (1 + a) ·dim(V),\dim \left( {\sum\limits_{i \in I} {A_i (V)} } \right) \geqslant (1 + \alpha ) \cdot \dim (V),  相似文献

We consider the space A(\mathbbT)A(\mathbb{T}) of all continuous functions f on the circle \mathbbT\mathbb{T} such that the sequence of Fourier coefficients [^(f)] = { [^(f)]( k ), k ? \mathbbZ }\hat f = \left\{ {\hat f\left( k \right), k \in \mathbb{Z}} \right\} belongs to l 1(ℤ). The norm on A(\mathbbT)A(\mathbb{T}) is defined by || f ||A(\mathbbT) = || [^(f)] ||l1 (\mathbbZ)\left\| f \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = \left\| {\hat f} \right\|_{l^1 (\mathbb{Z})}. According to the well-known Beurling-Helson theorem, if f:\mathbbT ? \mathbbT\phi :\mathbb{T} \to \mathbb{T} is a continuous mapping such that || einf ||A(\mathbbT) = O(1)\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = O(1), n ∈ ℤ then φ is linear. It was conjectured by Kahane that the same conclusion about φ is true under the assumption that || einf ||A(\mathbbT) = o( log| n | )\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = o\left( {\log \left| n \right|} \right). We show that if $\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = o\left( {\left( {{{\log \log \left| n \right|} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\log \log \left| n \right|} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right)^{1/12} } \right)$\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = o\left( {\left( {{{\log \log \left| n \right|} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\log \log \left| n \right|} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right)^{1/12} } \right), then φ is linear.  相似文献

Let \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} be a finite field and suppose that a single element of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} is used as an authenticator (or tag). Further, suppose that any message consists of at most L elements of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}}. For this setting, usual polynomial based universal hashing achieves a collision bound of (L-1)/|\mathbbF|{(L-1)/|\mathbb{F}|} using a single element of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} as the key. The well-known multi-linear hashing achieves a collision bound of 1/|\mathbbF|{1/|\mathbb{F}|} using L elements of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} as the key. In this work, we present a new universal hash function which achieves a collision bound of mélogm Lù/|\mathbbF|, m 3 2{m\lceil\log_m L\rceil/|\mathbb{F}|, m\geq 2}, using 1+élogm Lù{1+\lceil\log_m L\rceil} elements of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} as the key. This provides a new trade-off between key size and collision probability for universal hash functions.  相似文献

In this paper we establish some regularizing and decay rate estimates for mild solutions of the Debye–Hückel system. We prove that if the initial data belong to the critical Lebesgue space L\fracn2(\mathbbRn){L^{\frac{n}{2}}(\mathbb{R}^{n})} , then the L q -norm ( \fracn2 £ q £ ¥{\frac{n}{2} \leq q \leq \infty}) of the βth order spatial derivative of mild solutions are majorized by K1(K2|b|)|b|t-\frac|b|2-1+\fracn2q{K_{1}(K_{2}|\beta|)^{|\beta|}t^{-\frac{|\beta|}{2}-1+\frac{n}{2q}}} for some constants K 1 and K 2. These estimates particularly imply that mild solutions are analytic in the space variable, and provide decay estimates in the time variable for higher-order derivatives of mild solutions. We also prove that similar estimates also hold for mild solutions whose initial data belong to the critical homogeneous Besov space [(B)\dot]-2+\fracnpp,¥(\mathbbRn){\dot{B}^{-2+\frac{n}{p}}_{p,\infty}(\mathbb{R}^n)} ( \fracn2 < p < n{\frac{n}{2} < p < n}).  相似文献

Fourier series are considered on the one-dimensional torus for the space of periodic distributions that are the distributional derivative of a continuous function. This space of distributions is denoted Ac(\mathbbT){\mathcal{A}}_{c}(\mathbb{T}) and is a Banach space under the Alexiewicz norm, ||f||\mathbbT=sup|I| £ 2pI f|\|f\|_{\mathbb{T}}=\sup_{|I|\leq2\pi}|\int_{I} f|, the supremum being taken over intervals of length not exceeding 2π. It contains the periodic functions integrable in the sense of Lebesgue and Henstock–Kurzweil. Many of the properties of L 1 Fourier series continue to hold for this larger space, with the L 1 norm replaced by the Alexiewicz norm. The Riemann–Lebesgue lemma takes the form [^(f)](n)=o(n)\hat{f}(n)=o(n) as |n|→∞. The convolution is defined for f ? Ac(\mathbbT)f\in{\mathcal{A}}_{c}(\mathbb{T}) and g a periodic function of bounded variation. The convolution commutes with translations and is commutative and associative. There is the estimate ||f*g|| £ ||f||\mathbbT ||g||BV\|f\ast g\|_{\infty}\leq\|f\|_{\mathbb{T}} \|g\|_{\mathcal{BV}}. For g ? L1(\mathbbT)g\in L^{1}(\mathbb{T}), ||f*g||\mathbbT £ ||f||\mathbb T ||g||1\|f\ast g\|_{\mathbb{T}}\leq\|f\|_{\mathbb {T}} \|g\|_{1}. As well, [^(f*g)](n)=[^(f)](n) [^(g)](n)\widehat{f\ast g}(n)=\hat{f}(n) \hat{g}(n). There are versions of the Salem–Zygmund–Rudin–Cohen factorization theorem, Fejér’s lemma and the Parseval equality. The trigonometric polynomials are dense in Ac(\mathbbT){\mathcal{A}}_{c}(\mathbb{T}). The convolution of f with a sequence of summability kernels converges to f in the Alexiewicz norm. Let D n be the Dirichlet kernel and let f ? L1(\mathbbT)f\in L^{1}(\mathbb{T}). Then ||Dn*f-f||\mathbbT?0\|D_{n}\ast f-f\|_{\mathbb{T}}\to0 as n→∞. Fourier coefficients of functions of bounded variation are characterized. The Appendix contains a type of Fubini theorem.  相似文献

We compare two concepts from distance geometry of finite sets: quasi-isometry and isometry. We show that for every n 3 5 n\geq5 there exist sets of n points in \mathbbRn-1 \mathbb{R}^{n-1} that are quasi-isometric and not isometric. By contrast, for finite sets in S1 we show that under some additional hypotheses, quasi-isometric sets are isometric.  相似文献

Let f be an endomorphism of \mathbbC\mathbbPk{\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^k} and ν be an f-invariant measure with positive Lyapunov exponents (λ 1, . . . , λ k ). We prove a lower bound for the pointwise dimension of ν in terms of the degree of f, the exponents of ν and the entropy of ν. In particular our result can be applied for the maximal entropy measure μ. When k = 2, it implies that the Hausdorff dimension of μ is estimated by dimHm 3 [(log d)/(l1)] + [(log d)/(l2)]{{\rm dim}_\mathcal{H}\mu \geq {{\rm log} d \over \lambda_1} + {{\rm log} d \over \lambda_2}}, which is half of the conjectured formula. Our method for proving these results consists in studying the distribution of the ν-generic inverse branches of f n in \mathbbC\mathbbPk{\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^k} . Our tools are a volume growth estimate for the bounded holomorphic polydiscs in \mathbbC\mathbbPk{\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^k} and a normalization theorem for the ν-generic inverse branches of f n .  相似文献

Affine extractors over prime fields   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
An affine extractor is a map that is balanced on every affine subspace of large enough dimension. We construct an explicit affine extractor AE from \mathbbFn \mathbb{F}^n to \mathbbF\mathbb{F}, \mathbbF\mathbb{F} a prime field, so that AE(x) is exponentially close to uniform when x is chosen uniformly at random from an arbitrary affine subspace of \mathbbFn \mathbb{F}^n of dimension at least δn, 0<δ≤1 a constant. Previously, Bourgain constructed such affine extractors when the size of \mathbbF\mathbb{F} is two. Our construction is in the spirit of but different than Bourgain’s construction. This allows for simpler analysis and better quantitative results.  相似文献

Let \mathbbF\mathbb{F} be a p-adic field, let χ be a character of \mathbbF*\mathbb{F}^{*}, let ψ be a character of \mathbbF\mathbb{F} and let gy-1\gamma_{\psi}^{-1} be the normalized Weil factor associated with a character of second degree. We prove here that one can define a meromorphic function [(g)\tilde](c,s,y)\widetilde{\gamma}(\chi ,s,\psi) via a similar functional equation to the one used for the definition of the Tate γ-factor replacing the role of the Fourier transform with an integration against y·gy-1\psi\cdot\gamma_{\psi}^{-1}. It turns out that γ and [(g)\tilde]\widetilde{\gamma} have similar integral representations. Furthermore, [(g)\tilde]\widetilde{\gamma} has a relation to Shahidi‘s metaplectic local coefficient which is similar to the relation γ has with (the non-metalpectic) Shahidi‘s local coefficient. Up to an exponential factor, [(g)\tilde](c,s,y)\widetilde{\gamma}(\chi,s,\psi) is equal to the ratio \fracg(c2,2s,y)g(c,s+\frac12,y)\frac{\gamma(\chi^{2},2s,\psi)}{\gamma(\chi,s+\frac{1}{2},\psi)}.  相似文献
