An alternative scheme is proposed for engineering three-dimensional maximally entangled states for two modes of a superconducting microwave cavity. In this scheme, an appropriately prepared four-level atom is sent through a bimodal cavity. During its passing through the cavity, the atom is coupled resonantly with two cavity modes simultaneously and addressed by a classical microwave pulse tuned to the required transition. Then the atomic states are detected to collapse two modes onto a three-dimensional maximally entangled state. The scheme is different from the previous one in which two nonlocal cavities are used. A comparison between them is also made.  相似文献

We present two physical schemes for concentrating three-atom W state based on the same interaction model which involves two three-level atoms, a cavity field and a classical field. Both schemes introduce only one auxiliary atom. The first scheme involves only one measurement. There is one more measurement on the auxiliary atom in the second scheme, but the interaction time is simple in form and there is no single-qubit operation on the auxiliary atom. Moreover, both schemes are insensitive to cavity decay and within the current cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) technique.  相似文献

A new scheme is proposed for realizing entanglement swapping in cavity QED. The scheme is based on the resonant interaction of two-mode cavity with ∧-type three-level atom, and it involves only a single measurement. In the scheme, the output state after swapping is exactly the maximally entangled state in principle, thus it is prior to the previous one, in which the output state is just approximate. Calculations indicate that our scheme is less influenced by an error.  相似文献

The scheme is based on the resonant interaction of a ladder-type three-level atom with two bimodal cavities. In this paper, a scheme is proposed for remote state preparation (RSP) with cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). In our scheme, two observers share two-atom nonmaximally entangled state as quantum channels and can realize remote preparation of state of an atom. We also propose a generalization for remote preparation of N-atom entangled state by (N+1)-atom GHZ-like state (N ≥ 2). By this scheme, one single-atom projective measurement is enough for the RSP of a qubit or N-atom entangled state, and the probability of success for RSP is unity. Furthermore, we have considered the case where observers use W-like state as quantum channels to realize RSP of a qubit. We compare our scheme with existing ones.  相似文献

We propose a scheme to realize strong squeezing for a cavity field with a single three-level atom. In the scheme the atom is sent through the cavity initially filled with a coherent field. The atom dispersively interacts with the cavity field, which is displaced by a microwave resource during the interaction. Then, a selective measurement on the atom collapses the field to a superposition of an even coherent state with a vacuum state, which exhibits strong squeezing. The scheme can also be generalized to the two-mode case.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for generating entangled squeezed vacuum states of electromagnetical fields. The scheme is based on cavity QED. In this scheme, an atom interacts, successively, with a classical field, two quantum cavity fields, and another classical field. We present a scheme for entanglement concentration of an unknown atomic non-maximally entangled GHZ state via cavity decay. In the scheme, the atom trapped in a cavity is manipulated by laser field, so the maximally entangled GHZ state can be obtained by performing certain operation, which can be realized by illuminating the atom in a cavity. A scheme for approximate and conditional teleportation of an unknown atomic state via dissipative two-photon interaction in cavity QED is proposed. In our scheme, the dissipative two-photon interaction Jaynes-Cummings model is used to realize the approximate and conditional teleportation. We investigate analytically the influence of the cavity mode decay on the teleportation fidelity and show that the high fidelity teleportation can be implemented in dissipative case. Our scheme does not involve the Bell-state measurement and an additional atom, only requiring two atoms and one single-mode cavity. The scheme may be generalized to not only the teleportation of the state of a cavity mode to another mode by means of a single atom but also the teleportation of the state of a trapped ion.  相似文献

We have proposed an alternative scheme for teleportation of two-atom entangled state in cavity QED. It is based on the degenerate Raman interaction of a single-mode cavity field with a A-type three-level atom. The prominent feature of the scheme is that only one cavity is required, which is prior to the previous one. Moreover, the atoms need to be detected are reduced compared with the previous scheme. The experimental feasibility of the scheme is discussed. The scheme can easily be generalized for teleportation of N-atom GHZ entangled states. The number of the atoms needed to be detected does not increase as the number of the atoms in GHZ state increases.  相似文献

The transmission spectrum for one atom strongly coupled to the field of a high finesse optical resonator is observed to exhibit a clearly resolved vacuum Rabi splitting characteristic of the normal modes in the eigenvalue spectrum of the atom-cavity system. A new Raman scheme for cooling atomic motion along the cavity axis enables a complete spectrum to be recorded for an individual atom trapped within the cavity mode, in contrast to all previous measurements in cavity QED that have required averaging over 10(3)-10(5) atoms.  相似文献

An alternative scheme is proposed to transfer quantum states and prepare a quantum network in cavity QED. It is based on the interaction of a two-mode cavity field with a three-level V-type atom. In the scheme, the atom-cavity field interaction is resonant, thus the time required to complete the quantum state transfer process is greatly shortened, which is very important in view of decoherence. Moreover, the present scheme does not require one mode of the cavities to be initially prepared in one-photon state, thus it is more experimentally feasible than the previous ones.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for realizing the Kerr-type nonlinearity for a cavity mode. In the scheme the cavity mode interacts with a single three-level atom dispersively. Under certain conditions, the evolution of the cavity field, decoupled from the atomic degree of freedom, corresponds to the Kerr effect. The scheme can be generalized to implement cross-Kerr effect and two-qubit phase gates for two cavity modes.  相似文献

We present a new scheme for realizing a n-qubit controlled-phase gate with atoms in cavity QED. The present scheme operates essentially by exchanging a single photon between the control atoms and the cavity mode before and after a phase shift performed on the target atom. A scheme for approximately and conditionally teleporting an unknown atomic state via two-photon interaction in cavity QED is proposed. It is the extension of the scheme of Ref. [11] [Phys. Rev. A 69 (2004) 064302], which is based on Jaynes-Cummings model in QED and where only a time point of system evolution and the corresponding fidelity implementing the teleportation are given. In our scheme, the two-photon interaction Jaynes-Cummings model is used to realize the approximate and conditional teleportation. Our scheme does not involve the Bell-state measurement and an additional atom, only requiring two atoms and one single-mode cavity. The fidelity of the scheme is higher than that of Ref. [11]. The scheme may be generalized to not only the teleportation of the state of a cavity mode to another mode by means of a single atom but also the teleportation of the state of a trapped ion.  相似文献
