The laser-induced fluorescence spectra of jet-cooled benzo-18-crown-6 (B18C6) and dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) exhibit a number of vibronic bands in the 35 000-37 000 cm(-1) region. We attribute these bands to monomers and hydrated clusters by fluorescence-detected IR-UV and UV-UV double resonance spectroscopy. We found four and two conformers for bare B18C6 and DB18C6, and the hydration of one water molecule reduces the number of isomers to three and one for B18C6-(H(2)O)(1) and DB18C6-(H(2)O)(1), respectively. The IR-UV spectra of B18C6-(H(2)O)(1) and DB18C6-(H(2)O)(1) suggest that all isomers of the monohydrated clusters have a double proton-donor type (bidentate) hydration. That is, the water molecule is bonded to B18C6 or DB18C6 via two O-H[dot dot dot]O hydrogen bonds. The blue shift of the electronic origin of the monohydrated clusters and the quantum chemical calculation suggest that the water molecule in B18C6-(H(2)O)(1) and DB18C6-(H(2)O)(1) prefers to be bonded to the ether oxygen atoms near the benzene ring.  相似文献

The synergistic solvent extraction of 13 lanthanides with mixtures of 8-hydroxyquinoline (HQ) and the crown ethers (S) 18-crown-6 (18C6) or benzo-18-crown-6 (B18C6) in 1,2-dichloroethane has been studied. The composition of the extracted species has been determined as LnQ3 · S. The values of the equilibrium constant and separation factor have been calculated. Here, the effect of the synergistic agent (18C6 or B18C6) on the extraction process is discussed.  相似文献

Crown ethers are preferential solvated by organic solvents in the mixtures of water with formamide, N-methylformamide, acetonitrile, acetone and propan-1-ol. In these mixed solvents the energetic effect of the preferential solvation depends quantitatively on the structural and energetic properties of mixtures. The energetic properties of the mixtures of water with hydrophobic solvents (N,N-dimethylformamide, dimethylsulfoxide, N,N-dimethylacetamide, hexamethylphosphortriamide) counteract the preferential solvation of the crown ether molecules. The effect of the hydrophobic and acid-base properties of the mixture of water with organic solvent on the solvation of 12-crown-4, 15-crown-5, 18-crown-6 and benzo-15-crown-5 ethers was discussed. The solvation enthalpy of one -CH2CH2O- group in water, N,N-dimethylformamide and hexamethylphosphortriamide is equal to −24.21, −16.04 and −15.91 kJ/mol, respectively. The condensed benzene ring with 15-crown-5 ether molecule brings about an increase in the exothermic effect of solvation of the crown ether in the mixtures of water with organic solvent.  相似文献

The complexation reaction of phenylaza-15-crown-5, and 4-nitrobenzo-15-crown-5, benzo-15-crown-5 and dibenzopyrdino-18-crwon-6, dibenzo-18-crown-6,dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6(cis and trans), and 18-crown-6 with Na+ ion in methanol have been studied by potentiometric method. The Na+ ion-selective electrode has been used both as indicator and reference electrode. The stoichiometry and stability constants of complexes of these crown ethers with sodium ion were evaluated by MINIQUAD program. The major trend of stability of resulting complexes of these macrocycle with Na+ ion varied in the order DCY18C6 > DB18C6 > 18C6 > DBPY18C6 > phenylaza-15C5 > benzo-15C5 > 4-nitrobenzo-15C5. The obtained results in particular stability constant of complexes of DBPY18C6, phenylaza-15C5 and 4-nitrobenzo-15C5 with sodium ion in comparison with other crowns ether are novel, and interesting.  相似文献

The ion-pair extraction equilibria of dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) complexes of Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+ (M+) with picrate ion (Pic) into 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCE) have been studied at 25.0°C. In the case of the Rb+ and Cs+ systems, the extraction results were interpreted by taking into consideration the formation of a (DB18C6)2 -M+ complex in 1,2-DCE. The thermodynamic constants of extraction, , and ion-pair formation in 1,2-DCE, , of ion pairs of the DB18C6-M+ complexes with Pic were determined. By using the distribution coefficient of M+·Pic the thermodynamic formation constants of the DB18C6-M+ complexes in 1,2-DCE, , were evaluated. Consequently the component equilibrium constants of the ion-pair extraction were completely determined and a contribution of these constants to the difference of value was discussed. The value in 1,2-DCE is quite high compared with that in solvating solvents and log decreases linearly with increasing Gutmann donor number of solvents.  相似文献

Enthalpy of solution of crown ethers (15-crown-5 and benzo-15-crown-5) in water-acetone mixtures have been measured within the whole range of mole fraction at 298.15 K. The obtained data have been compared with those of the solution enthalpy of both crown ethers in the mixtures of water with dimethyl sulfoxide. The replacement of SO group with CO in the molecule of the organic solvent brings about an increase in the exothermic effect of the solution of 15-crown-5 and benzo-15-crown-5 ethers, especially in the mixtures with a medium water content. The observed effect is connected with the preferential solvation of the molecules of both crown ethers by acetone molecules in the water-acetone mixtures. The process of preferential solvation of 15-crown-5 and benzo-15-crown-5 ethers does not take place in the water-dimethyl sulfoxide mixture.  相似文献

Extraction characteristics of chloroform–water system in lithium iodide extraction with benzo-15-crown-5 (B15C5) were studied. The complexation of the crown ether with LiI in organic phase was shown by IR spectroscopy. Isotope effect multiplication was performed by extraction chromatography technique. The magnitude of isotope separation factor (α) for 6Li-7Li pair was 1.017. The light lithium isotope is concentrated in organic phase.  相似文献

The ion-pair formation constant (K(MLA)(0) in mol(-1) dm(3)) for Li(B15C5)(+) with a picrate ion (Pic(-)) in water was determined by potentiometry with a K(+)-selective electrode at 25 degrees C and an ionic strength of 0, where B15C5 denotes benzo-15-crown-5 ether. Using the concentration equilibrium constants, K(MLA), estimated from this value, the extraction constants (mol(-2) dm(6) unit) of about ten diluents were re-calculated from previously reported extraction data. Also, the distribution constants of an ion-pair complex, Li(B15C5)Pic, between water and the diluents were re-estimated. A disagreement in the determined K(MLA) value between a solvent-extraction method and potentiometry was explained in terms of the Scatchard-Hildebrand equation; it came from the fact that the hydration of Li(I) in Li(B15C5)Pic was larger than that of free B15C5 in water. Then, the previously determined value by the former method was re-estimated using the potentiometric K(MLA) value.  相似文献

The mass spectra of 4-acyl derivatives of benzo-15-crown-5 and benzo-18-crown-6 were studied by the method of direct analysis of the daughter ions (DADI). It was established that the fragmentation of the M+ ions of the investigated compounds under electron impact proceeds via the scheme of the McLafferty rearrangement with the simultaneous elimination of ethylene oxide. The degree of occurrence of the McLafferty rearrangement increases with an increase in the length of the side chain.See [3] for communication 3.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 7, pp. 989–901, July, 1987.  相似文献

The stabilization of the P(CF(3))(2)(-) ion by intermediary coordination to the very weak Lewis acid acetone gives access to single crystals of [18-crown-6-K]P(CF(3))(2). The X-ray single crystal analysis exhibits nearly isolated P(CF(3))(2)(-) ions with an unusually short P-C distance of 184(1) pm, which can be explained by negative hyperconjugation and is also found by quantum chemical hybrid DFT calculation. Coordination of the P(CF(3))(2)(-) ion to pentacarbonyl tungsten has only a minor effect on electronic and geometric properties of the P(CF(3))(2) moiety, while a strong increase in thermal stability of the dissolved species is achieved. The hitherto unknown P(C(6)F(5))(2)(-) ion is stabilized by coordination to pentacarbonyl tungsten and isolated as a stable 18-crown-6 potassium salt, [18-crown-6-K][W[P(C(6)F(5))(2)](CO)(5)], which is fully characterized. The tungstate, [W[P(C(6)F(5))(2)](CO)(5)](-), decomposes slowly in solution, while coordination of the phosphorus atom to a second pentacarbonyl tungsten moiety results in an enhanced thermal stability in solution. The single-crystal X-ray analysis of [18-crown-6-K][[W(CO)(5)](2)[mu-P(C(6)F(5))(2)]].THF exhibits a very tight arrangement of the two C(6)F(5) and two W(CO)(5) groups around the central phosphorus atom. NMR spectroscopic investigations of the [[W(CO)(5)](2)[mu-P(C(6)F(5))(2)]](-) ion exhibit a hindered rotation of both the C(6)F(5) and W(CO)(5) groups in solution.  相似文献

The formation constants (K(ML)) in water of 1:1 complexes of benzo-18-crown-6 (B18C6) and 18-crown-6 (18C6) with Zn(2+) and Cd(2+), the sizes of which are much smaller than the ligand cavities, were determined at 25 degrees C by conductometry. Compared with Cd(2+), the crown ethers form more stable complexes with Zn(2+) although the size of Zn(2+) is less suited for the cavities. B18C6 forms a more stable complex with each metal ion than 18C6. Moreover, the extraction equilibria of these metal ions (M(2+)) with B18C6 (L) for the benzene/water system in the presence of picric acid (HA) were investigated at 25 degrees C. The association between L and HA in benzene was examined for evaluating the intrinsic extraction equilibria of M(2+) with B18C6. The extracted species were found to be MLA(2) and ML(2)A(2), and the overall extraction constants (K(ex,1) and K(ex,2), respectively) were obtained. The values of K(ex,1) for these metal ions are almost the same, but the K(ex,2) is larger for Zn(2+) than for Cd(2+). The extraction selectivity was interpreted quantitatively by the constituent equilibrium constants, i.e. K(ML), the ion-pair extraction constant of ML(2+) with A(-), and the adduct formation constant of MLA(2) with L in benzene.  相似文献

A series of tetramethyldibenzo-18-crown-6 molecules with methyl substituents on the ether ring has been subjected to electron impact mass spectrometry, and from the variation of the fragmentation pattern with substituent position, certain fragmentation processes are located and the composition and origin of certain fragment ions can be deduced. The aliphatic C? C fission deduced from deuterium labelling studies of benzo-15-crown-5 is not an observable process for the crowns reported here.  相似文献

Extraction of strontium and yttrium by the nitrobenzene solution of H+-form of heptachloro-bis-1,2-dicarbollylcobaltate (H+B) in the presence of benzo-15-crown-5 (B15C5, L) has been investigated. The presence of B15C5 leads to a great synergistic effect for the extraction of strontium and an antagonistic effect for the extraction of yttrium. The extraction constants of Sr2+ complexes of B15C5 were determined. The separation factor a(Sr/Y) in the system with B15C5 presents the same order of magnitude as that for 15C5.  相似文献
