随着激光技术的飞快发展,激光强度不断提高,超强外场下真空中正负电子对产生的过程,即能量向质量转化过程,已经成为一个研究热点。主要综述了近几年量子Vlasov方程方法和计算量子场论(数值求解Dirac方程)方法在研究强场下真空中正负电子对产生方面的进展,分别介绍了空间均匀场和空间不均匀场下的粒子对产生的情况。第一种情况主要介绍双脉冲结构振荡电场中电子-正电子对的产生、强双频振荡电场中非微扰电子-正电子对的产生、频率调制的激光场中电子-正电子对的产生和Dirac真空对啁啾外场的快速分辨。第二种情况主要介绍优化空间局域电场提高粒子对的产生率、多个势阱-垒结构的振荡场对粒子对产生的增强、振荡 Sauter 电势中正负电子对产生的问题、操纵Dirac真空以控制其在场诱导下的衰变、作为信息传输介质的Dirac真空还有正负电子对产生中的相干和非相干啁啾机制的转变。  相似文献

We formulate the second quantization of a charged scalar field in homogeneous, time-dependent electromagnetic fields, in which the Hamiltonian is an infinite system of decoupled, time-dependent oscillators for electric fields, but it is another infinite system of coupled, time-dependent oscillators for magnetic fields. We then employ the quantum invariant method to find various quantum states for the charged field. For time-dependent electric fields, a pair of quantum invariant operators for each oscillator with the given momentum plays the role of the time-dependent annihilation and the creation operators, constructs the exact quantum states, and gives the vacuum persistence amplitude as well as the pair-production rate. We also find the quantum invariants for the coupled oscillators for the charged field in time-dependent magnetic fields and advance a perturbation method when the magnetic fields change adiabatically. Finally, the quantum state and the pair production are discussed when a time-dependent electric field is present in parallel to the magnetic field.  相似文献

The property producing a field has a qualitative and a quantitative aspect. The former may appear as1, 2, 3,..., n possibilities in the source particles. Interaction lines representing the field must reflect these possibilities. Thus, one expects there to be1, 2, 3,..., n respective kinds of lines joining particles. The different lines interact with each other as well as with the particles at their ends. For gravitational fields,n is1; for electromagnetic fields,n is2; for chromodynamic fieldsn is3. Rest mass can be created by itself out of energy. But a positive-negative pair is the minimum possibility with electric charges, and a color-anticolor pair with quarks. Using computational quantum field theory we study the spontaneous breakdown process of the matter vacuum triggered by a strong external force field. We focus on the time scales that determine the creation of multiple electron-positron pair states. We show how the Pauli exclusion principle affects the creation probabilities of states with more than one pair. In the long time limit the evolution of these probabilities can be approximated by a simple cascade model. This model predicts a consecutive excitation from states with lower number of particles to those with a higher number of particles.  相似文献

We show that an electron confined to a single finite parabolic quantum well in crossed electric and magnetic fields can behave as a double quantum well system. The magnetic field is parallel to the heterostructure layers and the electric field is perpendicular to those. For a suitable choice of both fields and quantum well width, the electron can be confined to a double quantum well effective potential that is very similar to the electronic potential model for diatomic molecules. The double quantum well spectrum is calculated using a numerical algorithm based on semiclassical methods. A physical interpretation of this quantum system is given based on the analogy to the electrons bound to diatomic molecules.  相似文献

We study the bosonic pair creation from the vacuum by an external force field of arbitrary strength and shape in space and time. Our approach is similar to the computational quantum field theory developed for fermions. The non-perturbative solutions enable us to study the single and multiple boson-antiboson pair dynamics. The closed-form analytical expressions are based on the set of solutions to the time dependent Klein-Gordon equation that may be obtained numerically. In contrast to the dynamics for electron/positron pairs, the boson pair creation is not limited by the Paul exclusion principle and reveals an enhancement of the vacuum’s decay rate.  相似文献

A topological framework is constructed for anS-matrix bootstrap theory of particles. Each component of anS-matrix topological expansion is associated with a pair of intersecting “quantum” and “classical” surfaces whose complexity exhibits an entropy property. The bounded classical surface embeds graphs that carry the direct observables — energymomentum, spin and electric charge. The closed quantum surface carries a triangulation whose orientations represent internal quantum numbers — which turn out to be baryon number, lepton number and flavor. A form of “color” automatically appears. All strong-interaction components of the expansion are generated through “Landau connected sums” from “zeroentropy” surface pairs — which are self generating. Elementary particles correspond to triangulated areas on the quantum surface; consistency at zero entropy determines allowed hadrondisks on quantum spheres together with the associated quantum numbers. Elementary topological hadrons turn out to include mesons, baryons and baryoniums, with quarks appearing as “peripheral triangles” (along the perimenters of hadron disks) whose attachments correspond to a total of 8 flavors as well as spin. Individual quarks do not carry momentum and cannot be hadrons; quark confinement is automatic. Also appearing within hadron disks are “core triangles” that carry baryon number and electric charge but no flavor or spin. Hadron disks have quantum numbers that accord with the lowestmass physically-observed mesons and baryons. The relation of topological theory to QCD is discussed.  相似文献

The behavior of quarks is described within approaches used in quantum mechanics and related disciplines (quantum optics and quantum theory of information). The stochastic vacuum of quantum chromodynamics is treated as an environment (closed pool) for color particles (quarks). Their interaction results in a loss of information on the quark color state and consequently in the impossibility of observing it (the confinement of quarks). The processes are described using quantities of the quantum theory of information, such as von Neumann entropy, fidelity, and purity.  相似文献

Bose-Einstein condensates of atoms with non-zero spin are known to constitute an ideal system to investigate fundamental properties of magnetic superfluids. More recently it was realized that they also provide the fascinating opportunity to investigate the macroscopic amplification of quantum and classical fluctuations. This is strikingly manifested in a sample initially prepared in the m F = 0 state, where spin-changing collisions triggered by quantum fluctuations may lead to the creation of correlated pairs in m F = ±1. We show that the pair creation efficiency is strongly influenced by the interplay between the external trapping potential and the Zeeman effect. It thus reflects the confinement-induced magnetic field dependence of elementary spin excitations of the condensate. Remarkably, pair production in our experiments is therefore characterized by a multi-resonant dependence on the magnetic field. Pair creation at these resonances acts as strong parametric matter-wave amplifier. Depending on the resonance condition, this amplification can be extremely sensitive or insensitive to the presence of seed atoms. We show that pair creation at a resonance which is insensitive to the presence of seed atoms is triggered purely by quantum fluctuations and thus the system acts as a matter-wave amplifier for the vacuum state.  相似文献

It is shown that the properly defined background electric field in 1 + 1 dimensional quantum electrodynamics is not limited in magnitude by pair creation effects. Electron–positron pair creation is studied in the low-density approximation by solving the quantum Vlasov equation exactly and the mapping equation approximately. The simpler mapping equation is an approximate treatment of the quantum Vlasov equation in which the continuous external field is regarded as a series of delta kicks. Our study indicates that this new treatment is appropriate because the results of the two methods are in good agreement with each other. However, as the period number increases, interference and a complicated structure in the momentum distribution are observed. Furthermore, we also obtain the square power law relation of the number density to the applied electric field strength.  相似文献

A quantum mechanical picture, relating accelerated geodesic deviation to creation of massive particles via quantum tunneling in curved background spacetimes, is presented. The effect is analogous to pair production by an electric field and leads naturally to production of massive particles in de Sitter and superluminal FRW spacetimes. The probability of particle production in de Sitter space per unit volume and time is computed in a leading semiclassical approximation and shown to coincide with the previously obtained expression.  相似文献

采用紧束缚近似方法对锯齿状六边形硼磷烯量子点在平面电场和垂直磁场调控下的电子结构和光学性质进行了研究. 研究表明,硼磷烯量子点作为直接带隙半导体,在无外加电场和磁场作用时,能隙不随尺寸的改变而变化. 在平面电场调控下,能隙随电场强度的增加逐渐减小直至消失,平面电场方向几乎不会对硼磷烯量子点体系产生影响, 且随量子点尺寸的增大,能隙消失所需电场强度逐渐减小. 在垂直磁场调控下,表现为体态的能级在磁场作用下形成朗道能级,而能隙边缘处的朗道能级近似为一个平带,不随磁通量的改变而变化,态密度主要分布于朗道能级处. 另外,垂直磁场作用下的光吸收主要是由朗道能级之间的跃迁引起的.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of a single excitation in a Heisenberg spin-chain subjected to a sequence of periodic pulses from an external, parabolic, magnetic field. We show that, for experimentally reasonable parameters, a pair of counterpropagating coherent states is ejected from the center of the chain. We find an illuminating correspondence with the quantum time evolution of the well-known paradigm of quantum chaos, the quantum kicked rotor. From this we can analyze the entanglement production and interpret the ejected coherent states as a manifestation of the so-called "accelerator modes" of a classically chaotic system.  相似文献

Using space-time resolved solutions to relativistic quantum field theory we analyze the electron-positron pair creation process from vacuum. For early times the entangled electron-positron wave function can be obtained analytically. We show that there are, in principle, no limitations to the localization length of an electron and demonstrate that its spatial probability density can be much narrower than the Compton wavelength. We also find that quantum field theory prohibits the occurrence of Zitterbewegung for an electron.  相似文献
