Thermophysical and thermochemical studies have been carried out for crystalline parabanic acid. The thermophysical study was made by differential scanning calorimetry, DSC, over the temperature interval between T = (263 and 473) K. Two phase transitions were found: at T = (392.3 ± 1.6) K with the enthalpy of transition of (2.1 ± 0.4) kJ · mol−1 and at T = (509.8 ± 1.5) K, when the compound was scanned to its fusion temperature. The standard (p = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpy of formation, at T = 298.15 K, for crystalline parabanic acid was determined using static-bomb combustion calorimetry as −(590.2 ± 1.0) kJ · mol−1. The standard molar enthalpy of sublimation, at T = 298.15 K, was derived from the variation of their vapour pressures, measured by the Knudsen-effusion method, with the temperature. These two thermochemical parameters yielded the standard molar enthalpy of formation in the gaseous phase, at T = 298.15 K, as −(470.8 ± 1.2) kJ · mol−1.  相似文献

The standard (p = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation of 2-, 3- and 4-cyanobenzoic acids were derived from their standard molar energies of combustion, in oxygen, at T = 298.15 K, measured by static bomb combustion calorimetry. The Calvet high temperature vacuum sublimation technique was used to measure the enthalpies of sublimation of 2- and 3-cyanobenzoic acids. The standard molar enthalpies of formation of the three compounds, in the gaseous phase, at T = 298.15 K, have been derived from the corresponding standard molar enthalpies of formation in the condensed phase and standard molar enthalpies for phase transition. The results obtained are −(150.7 ± 2.0) kJ · mol−1, −(153.6 ± 1.7) kJ · mol−1 and −(157.1 ± 1.4) kJ · mol−1 for 2-cyano, 3-cyano and 4-cyanobenzoic acids, respectively. Standard molar enthalpies of formation were also estimated by employing two different methodologies: one based on the Cox scheme and the other one based on several different computational approaches. The calculated values show a good agreement with the experimental values obtained in this work.  相似文献

The vapor pressures of crystalline and liquid phases of methyl p-hydroxybenzoate and of methyl p-methoxybenzoate were measured over the temperature ranges (338.9 to 423.7) K and (292.0 to 355.7) K respectively, using a static method based on diaphragm capacitance gauges. The vapor pressures of the crystalline phase of the former compound were also measured in the temperature range (323.1 to 345.2) K using a Knudsen mass-loss effusion technique. The results enabled the determination of the standard molar enthalpies, entropies and Gibbs free energies of sublimation and of vaporization, at T = 298.15 K, as well as phase diagram representations of the (p, T) experimental data, including the triple point. The temperatures and molar enthalpies of fusion of both compounds were determined using differential scanning calorimetry and were compared with the results indirectly derived from the vapor pressure measurements. The standard (p° = 105 Pa) molar enthalpies of formation, in the crystalline phase, at T = 298.15 K, of the compounds studied were derived from their standard massic energies of combustion measured by static-bomb combustion calorimetry. From the experimental results, the standard molar enthalpies of formation, in the gaseous phase at T = 298.15 K, were calculated and compared with the values estimated by employing quantum chemical computational calculations. A good agreement between experimental and theoretical results is observed. To analyze the thermodynamic stability of the two compounds studied, the standard Gibbs free energies of formation in crystalline and gaseous phases were undertaken. The standard molar enthalpies of formation of the title compounds were also estimated from two different computational approaches using density functional theory-based B3LYP and the multilevel G3 methodologies.  相似文献

The standard (p° = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation of 3-acetylbenzonitrile and benzoylacetonitrile, in the crystalline phase, were derived from the respective standard massic energies of combustion measured by static bomb combustion calorimetry, in oxygen, at T = 298.15 K. The standard molar enthalpies of sublimation, at T = 298.15 K, were measured by Calvet microcalorimetry. From the above experimentally determined enthalpic parameters, the standard molar enthalpies of formation in the gaseous phase, at T = 298.15 K, are found to be: (52.4 ± 2.1) kJ · mol−1 and (74.8 ± 2.5) kJ · mol−1 for 3-acetylbenzonitrile and benzoylacetonitrile, respectively.Molecular structures were computed using highly accurate ab initio techniques. Standard molar enthalpies of formation of the experimentally studied compounds were derived using an appropriate set of working reactions. Very good agreement between the calculated and the experimental values was obtained, so the calculations were extended to the estimates of the standard molar enthalpies of formation of 2- and 4-acetylbenzonitriles whose study was not performed experimentally. Our results were further interpreted and rationalized in terms of the enthalpic stability and compared to other relevant disubstituted benzenes.  相似文献

This report presents a comprehensive experimental and computational study of the thermodynamic properties of two fluorene derivatives: 2-aminofluorene and 2-nitrofluorene. The standard (p° = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation in the crystalline phase of these compounds were derived from the standard molar energies of combustion, in oxygen, at T = 298.15 K, measured by static bomb combustion calorimetry. A Knudsen effusion method was used to perform the vapour pressure study of the referred compounds, yielding an accurate determination of the standard molar enthalpies and entropies of sublimation. The enthalpies of sublimation were also determined using Calvet microcalorimetry and the enthalpy and temperature of fusion were derived from DSC experiments. Derived results of standard enthalpy and Gibbs energy of formation in both gaseous and crystalline phases were compared with the ones reported in literature for fluorene. A theoretical study at the G3 and G4 levels has been carried out, and the calculated enthalpies of formation have been compared to the experimental values.  相似文献

The standard (p° = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation, at T = 298.15 K, of 4-chloro-3-nitroaniline and 5-chloro-2-nitroaniline, in the condensed phase, were derived from their standard molar energies of combustion, in oxygen, to yield CO2(g), N2(g), and HCl · 600H2O(l), measured by rotating bomb combustion calorimetry. From the temperature dependence of the vapour pressures of these compounds, measured by the Knudsen effusion technique, their standard molar enthalpies of sublimation, at T = 298.15 K, were derived by means of the Clausius–Clapeyron equation. The Calvet microcalorimetry was also used to measure the standard molar enthalpies of sublimation of these compounds, at T = 298.15 K. The combination of the standard molar enthalpies of formation in the condensed phases and the standard molar enthalpies of sublimation yielded the standard molar enthalpies of formation in the gaseous phase at T = 298.15 K for each isomer. Further, the standard (p° = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies, entropies and Gibbs free energies of sublimation, at T = 298.15 K, were also derived. The standard molar enthalpies of formation, in the gaseous phase of all the chloronitroaniline isomers were also estimated by the Cox scheme and by the use of computational thermochemistry and compared with the available experimental values.  相似文献

The heat capacity and the enthalpy increments of strontium niobate Sr2Nb2O7 and calcium niobate Ca2Nb2O7 were measured by the relaxation time method (2–300 K), DSC (260–360 K) and drop calorimetry (720–1370 K). Temperature dependencies of the molar heat capacity in the form Cpm = 248.0 + 0.04350T − 3.948 × 106/T2 J K−1 mol−1 for Sr2Nb2O7 and Cpm = 257.2 + 0.03621T − 4.434 × 106/T2 J K−1 mol−1 for Ca2Nb2O7 were derived by the least-square method from the experimental data. The molar entropies at 298.15 K, Sm°(298.15 K) = 238.5 ± 1.3 J K−1 mol−1 for Sr2Nb2O7 and Sm°(298.15 K) = 212.4 ± 1.2 J K−1 mol−1 for Ca2Nb2O7, were evaluated from the low-temperature heat capacity measurements.  相似文献

The Knudsen mass-loss effusion technique was used to measure the vapour pressures at different temperatures of two crystalline ruthenium complexes: tris(1,1,1-trifluoro-2,4-pentanedionate)ruthenium(III) {Ru(tfacac)3}, between T =  350.20 K and T =  369.17 K and tris(1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-2,4-pentanedionate)ruthenium(III) {Ru(hfacac)3} between T =  299.15 K and T =  313.14 K. From the temperature dependence of the vapour pressure of the crystalline compounds, the standard molar enthalpies of sublimation were derived by the Clausius–Clapeyron equation and the molar entropies of sublimation at equilibrium pressures were calculated. By using an estimated value for the heat capacity differences between the gas and the crystal phases the standard, po =  105Pa, molar enthalpies, entropies, and Gibbs energies of sublimation at T =  298.15 K, were derived:  相似文献

A thermochemical and thermophysical study has been carried out for crystalline barbital [5,5′-diethylbarbituric acid]. The thermochemical study was made by static bomb combustion calorimetry, from which the standard () molar enthalpy of formation of the crystalline barbital, at T = 298.15 K, was derived as −(753.0 ± 1.8) kJ · mol−1. The thermophysical study was made by differential scanning calorimetry over the temperature interval (265 to 470) K. A solid–solid phase transition was found at T = 413.3 K. The vapour pressures of the crystalline barbital were measured at several temperatures between T = (355 and 377) K, by the Knudsen mass-loss effusion technique, from which the standard molar enthalpy of sublimation, at T = 298.15 K was derived as (117.3 ± 0.6) kJ · mol−1. The combination of the experimental results yielded the standard molar enthalpy of formation of barbital in the gaseous phase, at T = 298.15 K, as −(635.8 ± 1.9) kJ · mol−1. This value is compared and discussed with our theoretical calculations by several methods (Gaussian-n theories G2 and G3, complete basis set CBS-QB3, density functional B3P86 and B3LYP) by means of atomization and isodesmic reaction schemes.  相似文献

The standard (p° = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation, in the crystalline phase, at T = 298.15 K, for 5-methyluracil, 6-methyluracil, and 5-nitrouracil were derived from the values of the standard massic energies of combustion measured by static bomb combustion calorimetry. The results obtained together with literature values of the enthalpies of sublimation yielded the standard molar enthalpies of formation, in gaseous phase, at T = 298.15 K. These values are discussed in the terms of structural enthalpic increments.  相似文献

The standard (p 0=0.1 MPa) molar enthalpy of formation, Δf H 0 m, for crystalline N-phenylphthalimide was derived from its standard molar enthalpy of combustion, in oxygen, at the temperature 298.15 K, measured by static bomb-combustion calorimetry, as –206.0±3.4 kJ mol–1. The standard molar enthalpy of sublimation, Δg cr H 0 m , at T=298.15 K, was derived, from high temperature Calvet microcalorimetry, as 121.3±1.0 kJ mol–1. The derived standard molar enthalpy of formation, in the gaseous state, is analysed in terms of enthalpic increments and interpreted in terms of molecular structure.  相似文献

The standard (p 0=0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation, in the condensed phase, of nine linear-alkyl substituted thiophenes, six in position 2- and three in position 3-, at T=298.15 K, were derived from the standard massic energies of combustion, in oxygen, to yield CO2(g) and H2SO4·115H2O(aq), measured by rotating-bomb combustion calorimetry. The standard molar enthalpies of vaporization of these compounds were measured by high temperature Calvet Microcalorimetry, so their standard molar enthalpies of formation, in the gaseous phase, were derived. The results are discussed in terms of structural contributions to the energetics of the alkyl-substituted thiophenes, and empirical correlations are suggested for the estimation of the standard molar enthalpies of formation, at T=298.15 K, for 2- and 3-alkyl-substituted thiophenes, both in the condensed and in the gaseous phases.  相似文献

The standard (p° = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation, at T = 298.15 K, in the gaseous phase, for two nitrobenzofurazan derivatives, 4-N,N-dimethylamino-7-nitrobenzofurazan (DMANBF) and 4-N,N-diethylamino-7-nitrobenzofurazan (DEANBF), were derived from their enthalpies of combustion and sublimation, obtained by static bomb calorimetry and by the Knudsen effusion technique, respectively. The results are compared with the corresponding data calculated by the G3(MP2)//B3LYP approach. Computationally, the molecular structures of both compounds were established and the geometrical parameters were determined at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory.  相似文献

The standard ( = 0.1 MPa) energies of combustion in oxygen, at T = 298.15 K, for the solid compounds 2-methylpyridine-N-oxide (2-MePyNO), 3-methylpyridine-N-oxide (3-MePyNO) and 3,5-dimethylpyridine-N-oxide (3,5-DMePyNO) were measured by static-bomb calorimetry, from which the respective standard molar enthalpies of formation in the condensed phase were derived. The standard molar enthalpies of sublimation, at the same temperature, were measured by Calvet microcalorimetry. From the standard molar enthalpy of formation in gaseous phase, the molar dissociation enthalpies of the N–O bonds were derived, and compared with values of the dissociation enthalpies of other N–O bonds available for other pyridine-N-oxide derivatives.  相似文献

The Knudsen mass-loss effusion technique was used to measure the vapour pressures at different temperatures of the following compounds: 3-phenylpropionic acid, between T =  305.17 K and T =  315.17 K; 3-(2-methoxyphenyl)propionic acid, between T =  331.16 K and T =  347.16 K; 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)propionic acid, between T =  341.19 K and T =  357.15 K; 3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)propionic acid, between T =  352.18 K and T =  366.16 K. From the temperature dependence of the vapour pressure, the standard molar enthalpies of sublimation ΔcrgHmowere derived by the Clausius–Clapeyron equation and the molar entropies of sublimation at equilibrium pressures were calculated. On the basis of estimated values for the heat capacity differences between the gas and the crystal phases of the studied compounds the standard, p   =  105Pa, molar enthalpies, entropies and Gibbs energies of sublimation at T =  298.15 K, were derived:  相似文献

The standard (p° = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation, in the gaseous phase, of the 2-, 3- and 4-iodobenzonitrile isomers were derived from the combination of the corresponding standard molar enthalpies of formation, in the condensed phase, at T = 298.15 K, and the standard molar enthalpies of sublimation, at the same temperature, calculated respectively from the standard molar energies of combustion in oxygen, measured by rotating-bomb calorimetry, and from the vapour-pressure study of the referred compounds, measured by mass-loss Knudsen effusion technique. The strength of the halogen-halogen and the halogen-cyano intermolecular interactions, in the crystal, are evaluated by the enthalpies and entropies of phase transition of the iodobenzonitrile derived from mass-loss Knudsen technique and differential scanning calorimetry measurements and compared with those reported to fluorobenzonitrile and bromobenzonitrile isomers. The computational calculations complement the experimental work, using different aromaticity criteria (HOMA, NICS, Shannom Aromaticity, PDI and ATI) for the analysis of the electronic behaviour of each iodobenzonitrile isomer.  相似文献

Measurements leading to the calculation of the standard thermodynamic properties for gaseous 2,3-dihydrobenzo[b]thiophene (Chemical Abstracts registry number [4565-32-6]) are reported. Experimental methods include combustion calorimetry, adiabatic heat-capacity calorimetry, vibrating-tube densitometry, comparative ebulliometry, inclined-piston gauge manometry, and differential-scanning calorimetry (d.s.c.). Critical properties are estimated for 2,3-dihydobenzo[b]thiophene. Standard molar entropies, standard molar enthalpies, and standard molar Gibbs free energies of formation are derived at selected temperatures between T=298.15 K and T=680 K.  相似文献

Thermochemical properties of uracil and thymine have been evaluated using additional experiments. Standard (p0 = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation in the gas phase at T = 298.15 K for uracil −(298.1 ± 0.6) and for thymine −(337.6 ± 0.9) kJ · mol−1 have been derived from energies of combustion measured by static bomb combustion calorimetry and molar enthalpies of sublimation determined using the transpiration method. The G3 and G4 quantum-chemical methods were used for calculations of theoretical gaseous enthalpies of formation being in very good agreement with the re-measured experimental values.  相似文献

Molar enthalpies of sublimation of two crystal forms of caffeine were obtained from the temperature dependence of the vapour pressure measured by the transpiration method. A large number of primary experimental results on the temperature dependences of vapour pressure and phase transitions have been collected from the literature and have been treated in a uniform manner in order to derive sublimation enthalpies of caffeine at T = 298.15 K. This collection together with the new experimental results reported here has helped to resolve contradictions in the available sublimation enthalpies data and to recommend a consistent and reliable set of sublimation and formation enthalpies for both crystal forms under study. Ab initio calculations of the gaseous molar enthalpy of formation of caffeine have been performed using the G3MP2 method and the results are in excellent agreement with the selected experimental data.  相似文献
