We present a much simplified version of the Collins-Gisin-Linden-Massar-Popescu inequality for the 2x2xd Bell scenario. Numerical maximization of the violation of this inequality over all states and measurements suggests that the optimal state is far from maximally entangled, while the best measurements are the same as conjectured best measurements for the maximally entangled state. For very large values of d the inequality seems to reach its minimal value given by the probability constraints. This gives numerical evidence for a tight quantum Bell inequality (or generalized Csirelson inequality) for the 2x2xinfinity scenario.  相似文献

We present the experimental realization of the optimal estimation protocol for a Pauli noisy channel. The method is based on the generation of 2-qubit Bell states and the introduction of quantum noise in a controlled way on one of the state subsystems. The efficiency of the optimal estimation, achieved by a Bell measurement, is shown to outperform quantum process tomography.  相似文献

The teleportation of an arbitrary n-particle state (n ≥ 1) is proposed if n pairs of identical EPR states are utilized as quantum channels. Independent Bell state measurements are performed for joint measurement. By using a special Latin square of order 2n(n ≥ 1), explicit expressions of outcomes after the Bell state measurements by Alice (sender) and the corresponding unitary transformations by Bob (receiver) can be derived. It is shown that the teleportation of n-particle state can be implemented by a series of single-qubit teleportation.  相似文献

We report a quantum teleportation experiment in which nonlinear interactions are used for the Bell state measurements. The experimental results demonstrate the working principle of irreversibly teleporting an unknown arbitrary polarization state from one system to another distant system by disassembling into and then later reconstructing from purely classical information and nonclassical EPR correlations. The distinct feature of this experiment is that all four Bell states can be distinguished in the Bell state measurement. Teleportation of a polarization state can thus occur with certainty in principle.  相似文献

This paper has proposed a generalized quantum state sharing protocol of an arbitrary two-particle state using non-maximally GHZ states and generalized Bell state measurement.The sender Alice performs two-particle generalized Bell state measurements on her two particles in the state sharing process and the controller takes measurements on his particles and transfers the quantum information to the receiver with entanglement swapping by the cooperation of the other agents.It is found that the use of nonmaximally entangled state in quantum state sharing has enabled the secure sharing of the quantum state.  相似文献

At present, the anti-noise property and the information leakage resistant property are two great concerns for quantum dialogue(QD). In this paper, two anti-noise QD protocols without information leakage are presented by using the entanglement swapping technology for two logical Bell states. One works well over a collective-dephasing noise channel, while the other takes effect over a collective-rotation noise channel. The negative influence of noise is erased by using logical Bell states as the traveling quantum states. The problem of information leakage is avoided by swapping entanglement between two logical Bell states. In addition, only Bell state measurements are used for decoding, rather than four-qubit joint measurements.  相似文献

The possibility of preparing two-photon entangled states encoding three or more qubits in each photon leads to the following problem: If n quabits were distributed between two parties, which quantum pure states and qubit distributions would allow all-versus-nothing (or Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger-like) proofs of Bell’s theorem using only single-qubit measurements? We show a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of these proofs and provide all existing proofs up to n = 7 qubits. On the other hand, the possibility of preparing n-photon n-qubit graph states leads to the following problem: If n qubits were distributed between n parties, which would be the optimal Bell inequalities? We show all optimal n-party Bell inequalities for the perfect correlations of any graph state of n < 6 qubits. Optimal means that the ratio between the quantum violation and the bound for local hidden-variable theories is the maximum over all possible combinations of perfect correlations. This implies that the required detection efficiencies for loophole-free Bell tests are minimal.  相似文献

We discuss the relations between the violation of the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) Bell inequality for systems of two qubits on the one side and entanglement of formation, local filtering operations, and the entropy and purity on the other. We calculate the extremal Bell violations for a given amount of entanglement of formation and characterize the respective states, which turn out to have extremal properties also with respect to the entropy, purity, and several entanglement monotones. The optimal local filtering operations leading to the maximal Bell violation for a given state are provided, and the special role of the resulting Bell diagonal states in the context of Bell inequalities is discussed.  相似文献

The parameters at which the maximally entangled two-particle state appears in the system of two ideal electronic Mach-Zehnder interferometers are known. In this work, the operation of nonideal devices with finite scattering in splitters and with reflection in the region of the Coulomb Interaction has been considered. It has been shown that, under the condition of postselection of experimental results, these factors can increase the observed Bell parameter to values exceeding Cirel’son’s (or Tsirelson’s) bound equal to 2√2 up to the mathematical limit equal to 4. A simple postselective measurement scheme providing B = 4 has been described. Although the results of such measurements are not as fundamental as the observation of the violation of Bell’s inequality, they can indirectly indicate the existence of an entangled state in the system. The measurement system is more stable against fluctuations of the phase than a system without postselection. Furthermore, it has been found that the proposed system is optimal for investigation of cross correlations between interferometers in the dc regime (beyond the paradigm of the violation of Bell’s inequality) because they cannot be generated by coordinated fluctuations of Aharonov-Bohm phases.  相似文献

We propose a feasible optical setup allowing for a loophole-free Bell test with efficient homodyne detection. A non-Gaussian entangled state is generated from a two-mode squeezed vacuum by subtracting a single photon from each mode, using beam splitters and standard low-efficiency single-photon detectors. A Bell violation exceeding 1% is achievable with 6 dB squeezed light and a homodyne efficiency around 95%. A detailed feasibility analysis, based upon the recent experimental generation of single-mode non-Gaussian states, suggests that this method opens a promising avenue towards a complete experimental Bell test.  相似文献

Teleportation schemes with a five-atom entangled state are investigated. In the teleportation scheme Bell state measurements (BSMs) are difficult for physical realization, so we investigate another strategy using separate measurements instead of BSM based on cavity quantum electrodynamics techniques. The scheme of two-atom entangled state teleportation is a controlled and probabilistic one. For the teleportation of the three-atom entangled state, the scheme is a probabilistic one. We show that controlled-controlled-NOT(CCN)operation-based entanglement purification protocol can be further improved.CCN protocol requires Bell state measurements after performing the CCN operations.In the original CCN protocol,the measured states are assumed to be destroyed.However,if controlled-NOT gates are used to perform such Bell state measurements,in some unsuccessful situations of the CCN protocol,one can further purify the two mixed entangled states which are to be measured.In this way,the total efficiency of the CCN protocol is further increased.  相似文献

We propose an experimental scheme to realize the four-dimensional projective measurements tor a single photon. The photon polarization and time-energy provide the four-dimensional Hilbert space. Based on this scheme, we suggest an experiment to test the violation of Bell inequalities of four-dimensional systems. In addition, by virtue of a maximally entangled biphoton state, we also show that it is possible to construct a quantum key distribution channel that can provide two-bit key with one pair of entangled photons.  相似文献

It is known that the global state of a composite quantum system can be completely determined by specifying correlations between measurements performed on subsystems only. Despite the fact that the quantum correlations thus suffice to reconstruct the quantum state, we show, using a Bell inequality argument, that they cannot be regarded as objective local properties of the composite system in question. It is well known since the work of Bell, that one cannot have locally preexistent values for all physical quantities, whether they are deterministic or stochastic. The Bell inequality argument we present here shows this is also impossible for correlations among subsystems of an individual isolated composite system. Neither of them can be used to build up a world consisting of some local realistic structure. As a corrolary to the result we argue that entanglement cannot be considered ontologically robust. The Bell inequality argument has an important advantage over others because it does not need perfect correlations but only statistical correlations. It can therefore easily be tested in currently feasible experiments using four particle entanglement.  相似文献

We examine the teleportation of an unknown spin-1/2 quantum state along a quantum spin chain with an even number of sites. Our protocol, using a sequence of Bell measurements, may be viewed as an iterated version of the 2-qubit protocol of C. H. Bennett et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 70, 1895 (1993)]. A decomposition of the Hilbert space of the spin chain into 4 vector spaces, called Bell subspaces, is given. It is established that any state from a Bell subspace may be used as a channel to perform unit fidelity teleportation. The space of all spin-0 many-body states, which includes the ground states of many known antiferromagnetic systems, belongs to a common Bell subspace. In this paper we obtain violations of general bipartite Bell inequalities of order \({\frac{\sqrt{n}}{\log n}}\) with n inputs, n outputs and n-dimensional Hilbert spaces. Moreover, we construct explicitly, up to a random choice of signs, all the elements involved in such violations: the coefficients of the Bell inequalities, POVMs measurements and quantum states. Analyzing this construction we find that, even though entanglement is necessary to obtain violation of Bell inequalities, the entropy of entanglement of the underlying state is essentially irrelevant in obtaining large violation. We also indicate why the maximally entangled state is a rather poor candidate in producing large violations with arbitrary coefficients. However, we also show that for Bell inequalities with positive coefficients (in particular, games) the maximally entangled state achieves the largest violation up to a logarithmic factor.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce a controlled teleportation protocol for transferring arbitrary two-qubit states bilaterally between Alice and Bob. The bidirectional teleportation protocol is supervised by a controller Charlie. A ten-qubit entangled quantum channel shared between Alice, Bob and Charlie is utilized. In derivating of Bell’s inequalities, the probability distribution is supposed to be a function only of a hidden variable. We point out that the true implication of the probability distribution of Bell’s correlation function is the distribution of joint measurement outcomes on the two sides. It is therefore a function of both the hidden variable and the settings. In this case, Bell’s inequalities fail. Our further analysis shows that Bell’s locality holds neither for dependent events nor for independent events. We think that the measurements of EPR pairs are dependent events, and hence violation of Bell’s inequalities cannot rule out the existence of local hidden variable. To explain the results of EPR-type experiments, we suppose that a polarization-entangled photon pair can be composed of two circularly or linearly polarized photons with correlated hidden variables, and a couple of experiments of quantum measurement are proposed. The first uses delayed measurement on one photon of the EPR pair to demonstrate directly whether measurement on the other could have any nonlocal influence on it. Then several experiments are suggested to reveal the components of the polarization-entangled photon pair. The last one uses successive polarization measurements on a pair of EPR photons to show that two photons with the same quantum state behave the same under the same measuring conditions.  相似文献
