In this paper, we introduce a G metric on the G-cone metric space and then prove that a complete G-cone metric space is always a complete G metric space and verify that a contractive mapping on the G-cone metric space is a contractive mapping on the G metric space. At last, we also give a new way to obtain the unique fixed point on G-cone metric space.  相似文献

We study the completeness of a metric which is related to the Bergman metric of a bounded domain (sometimes called the Burbea metric or Fuks metric). We provide a criterion for its completeness in the spirit of the Kobayashi criterion for the completeness of the Bergman metric. In particular we prove that in hyperconvex domains our metric is complete.  相似文献

Approximation of Metric Spaces by Partial Metric Spaces   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Partial metrics are generalised metrics with non-zero self-distances. We slightly generalise Matthews' original definition of partial metrics, yielding a notion of weak partial metric. After considering weak partial metric spaces in general, we introduce a weak partial metric on the poset of formal balls of a metric space. This weak partial metric can be used to construct the completion of classical metric spaces from the domain-theoretic rounded ideal completion.  相似文献

Under the assumption that' is a strongly convex weakly Khler Finsler metric on a complex manifold M, we prove that F is a weakly complex Berwald metric if and only if F is a real Landsberg metric.This result together with Zhong(2011) implies that among the strongly convex weakly Kahler Finsler metrics there does not exist unicorn metric in the sense of Bao(2007). We also give an explicit example of strongly convex Kahler Finsler metric which is simultaneously a complex Berwald metric, a complex Landsberg metric,a real Berwald metric, and a real Landsberg metric.  相似文献

The notions of metric sparsification property and finite decomposition com- plexity are recently introduced in metric geometry to study the coarse Novikov conjecture and the stable Borel conjecture. In this paper, it is proved that a metric space X has finite decomposition complexity with respect to metric sparsification property if and only if X itself has metric sparsification property. As a consequence, the authors obtain an alterna- tive proof of a very recent result by Guentner, Tessera and Yu that all countable linear groups have the metric sparsification property and hence the operator norm localization property.  相似文献

In this study, we obtain new classes of linear codes over Hurwitz integers equipped with a new metric. We refer to the metric as the Hurwitz metric. Also, we define decoding algorithms for these codes when up to two coordinates of a transmitted code vector are affected by the error of arbitrary Hurwitz weight. The interest in the codes with respect to the Hurwitz metric is their use in coded modulation schemes based on quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM)-type constellations where the Hamming metric and the Lee metric are not appropriate.  相似文献

In this paper,we discuss the invariaut complete metric on the Cartan-Hartogs domain of the fourth type.Firstly,we find a new invariant complete metric,and prove the equivalence between Bergman metric and the new metric;Secondly,the Ricci curvature of the new metric has the super bound and lower bound;Thirdly,we prove that the holomorphic sectional curvature of the new metric has the negative supper bound;Finally,we obtain the equivalence between Bergman metric and Einstein-Kahler metric on the Cartan-Hartogs domain of the fourth type.  相似文献

We prove that the L 2 Riemannian metric on the manifold of all smooth Riemannian metrics on a fixed closed, finite-dimensional manifold induces a metric space structure. As the L 2 metric is a weak Riemannian metric, this fact does not follow from general results. In addition, we prove several results on the exponential mapping and distance function of a weak Riemannian metric on a Hilbert/Fréchet manifold. The statements are analogous to, but weaker than, what is known in the case of a Riemannian metric on a finite-dimensional manifold or a strong Riemannian metric on a Hilbert manifold.  相似文献

The half-Apollonian metric is a generalization of the hyperbolic metric, similar to the Apollonian metric. It can be defined in arbitrary domains in the euclidean space and has the advantages of being easy to calculate and estimate. We show that the half-Apollonian metric has many geodesics and use this fact to show that in most domains all the isometries of the metric are similarity mappings.  相似文献

A metric Lie algebra is a Lie algebra equipped with an invariant non-degenerate symmetric bilinear form. It is called indecomposable if it is not the direct sum of two metric Lie algebras. We are interested in describing the isomorphism classes of indecomposable metric Lie algebras. In the present paper we restrict ourselves to a certain class of solvable metric Lie algebras which includes all indecomposable metric Lie algebras with maximal isotropic centre. We will see that each metric Lie algebra belonging to this class is a twofold extension associated with an orthogonal representation of an abelian Lie algebra. We will describe equivalence classes of such extensions by a certain cohomology set. In particular we obtain a classification scheme for indecomposable metric Lie algebras with maximal isotropic centre and the classification of metric Lie algebras of index 2.  相似文献

In this paper,we prove that a unitary invariant strongly pseudoconvex complex Finsler metric is a complex Landsberg metric if and if only if it comes from a unitary invariant Hermitian metric. In 2000, Branciari replaced the triangle inequality by a more general one which today is known as the rectangular inequality and introduced the notion of generalized metric space or rectangular metric space. Subsequently Azam, Arshad, and Beg introduced the concept of rectangular cone metric space and proved fixed point results for Banach-type contractions in rectangular cone metric spaces. In this paper, we establish fixed point results for mappings that satisfy a contractive condition of Perov type in rectangular cone metric spaces.  相似文献

We make some comparisons concerning the induced infinitesimal Kobayashi metric, the induced Siegel metric, the L2 Bergman metric, the Teichmüller metric and the Weil-Petersson metric on the Teichmüller space of a compact Riemann surface of genus g?2. As a consequence, among others, we show that the moduli space has finite volume with respect to the L2 Bergman metric. This answers a question raised by Nag in 1989.  相似文献

We study the Lipschitz metric on a Teichmüller space (definedby Thurston) and compare it with the Teichmüller metric.We show that in the thin part of the Teichmüller spacethe Lipschitz metric is approximated up to a bounded additivedistortion by the sup-metric on a product of lower-dimensionalspaces (similar to the Teichmüller metric as shown by Minsky).In the thick part, we show that the two metrics are equal upto a bounded additive error. However, these metrics are notcomparable in general; we construct a sequence of pairs of pointsin the Teichmüller space, with distances that approachzero in the Lipschitz metric while they approach infinity inthe Teichmüller metric.  相似文献

In this paper, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for embedding a given metric space in Euclidean space. In this paper, the author first introduces the concept of generalized algebraic cone metric spaces and some elementary results concerning generalized algebraic cone metric spaces. Next, by using these results, some new fixed point theorems on generalized (complete) algebraic cone metric spaces are proved and an example is given. As a consequence, the main results generalize the corresponding results in complete algebraic cone metric spaces and generalized complete metric spaces.  相似文献

We introduce a function model for the Teichmüller space of a closed hyperbolic Riemann surface.Then we introduce a new metric on the Teichmüller space by using the maximum norm on the function space.We prove that the identity map from the Teichmüller space equipped with the Teichmüller metric to the Teichmüller space equipped with this new metric is uniformly continuous. Moreover, we prove that the inverse of the identity, i.e., the identity map from the Teichmüller space equipped with this new metric to the Teichmüller space equipped with the Teichmüller metric, is continuous(but not uniformly). Therefore, the topology induced by the new metric is the same as the topology induced by the Teichmüller metric on the Teichmüller space.Finally, we give a remark about the pressure metric on the function model and the Weil-Petersson metric on the Teichmüller space.  相似文献
