We investigated the soliton solution for N coupled nonlinear Schrödinger (CNLS) equations. These equations are coupled due to the cross-phase-modulation (CPM). Lax pair of this system is obtained via the Ablowitz–Kaup–Newell–Segur (AKNS) scheme and the corresponding Darboux transformation is constructed to derive the soliton solution. One and two soliton solutions are generated. Using two soliton solutions of 3 CNLS equation, nonlinear tunneling of soliton for both with and without exponential background has been discussed. Finally cascade compression of optical soliton through multi-nonlinear barrier has been discussed. The obtained results may have promising applications in all-optical devices based on optical solitons, study of soliton propagation in birefringence fiber systems and optical soliton with distributed dispersion and nonlinearity management. 相似文献

从非线性Schrdinger方程出发,应用数学解析的方法,详细讨论了在饱和非线性介质中(2+1)维空间光学孤子存在满足物理意义的自洽解的条件,给出数值计算所需要的边界条件。通过数值计算,给出了基模和一阶模在某一组参数下的部分模式的光场慢变包络、光强度的二维和三维分布的直观图形,以及相应能量(无量纲)。结果表明,孤子的存在不是任意的,而是依赖于一定的能量。当光脉冲能量不足以支持孤子的存在时,其解呈振荡形式,说明不存在孤子解。同时还给出介质的饱和参数、孤子在传播方向上的波矢k对孤子模式的影响等有意义的结论。 相似文献

对准光孤子理论进行了研究,用一个合适的、持续的色散管理方法,从一个修正的非线性薛定谔方程得到一个精确解,用这个解构造一个非线性稳定的准光孤子脉冲。用数值模拟的方法得出了准光孤子和光孤子的波形。结果表明:准光孤子几乎具有光孤子的全部优点,其脉冲宽度比光孤子要小很多,并且准光孤子的脉冲宽度可以通过调节光纤的结构参数来进行调整,准孤子能够在光纤中稳定地实现长距离传输,而且能够很好地克服由孤子的固有特性造成的对通信容量的限制,所以准光孤子有望成为下一代通信系统的最佳信号载体。 相似文献

A new solution of two-wave Maxwell-Bloch equations has been obtained analytically and numerically. It describes the propagation of an oscillating nonlinear optical solitary wave, or optical zoomeron, in a one-dimensional periodic resonant Bragg structure. It has been shown that the appearance of large oscillations in the velocity and total amplitude of Bloch modes of the pulse is caused by beating of internal modes of the perturbed Bragg soliton. 相似文献

We have developed a systematic analytical approach to the study on the dynamic properties of the linear and the nonlinear excitations for quasi-one-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensate trapped in optical lattices. A novel linear dispersion relation and an algebraic soliton solution of the condensate are derived analytically under consideration of Bose-Einstein condensate with a periodic potential. By analysing the soliton solution, we find that the interatomic interaction strength has an important effect on soliton dynamic properties of Bose-Einstein condensate. 相似文献

In this paper, 10 Gbps optical soliton transmission link using in-line semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) for already installed standard single mode fibers (SMF) at 1.3 μm wavelength has been reported. The pattern effect and the impact of chirp on pulse propagation after amplification have been investigated. The observations are based on modeling and simulation optical soliton transmission link. Optical soliton pulse transmission over distances of the order of several hundreds of kilometers has been shown with and without initial chirp. 相似文献

In this paper, we present solutions for the nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation with spatially inhomogeneous nonlinearities describing propagation of light in nonlinear media, under two sets of transverse modulation forms of inhomogeneous nonlinearity. The bright soliton solution and Gaussian solution have been obtained for one set of inhomogeneous nonlinearity modulation. For the other, bright soliton solution, black soliton solution and the train solution have been presented. Long-range interaction of picosecond solitons through excitation of acoustic waves in optical fibers

We present the theory of electrostrictional interaction of soliton pulses in optical fibers. Solitons excite acoustic waves propagating in the direction transverse to the fiber axis. Scattering of optical radiation on these waves leads to a timing jitter of the optical pulses arrival time. We consider this effect as nonlinear self-scattering of light on acoustic waves. Because of the fact that a value of acoustic lifetime can reach a value of about 100 ns self-scattering on acoustic waves can be observed for a single optical pulse as well as for an optical pulse sequence as a whole. The value of single soliton self-frequency shift due to excitation of acoustic waves as a function of soliton duration have been obtained. For soliton duration sol > 14 ps an acoustic wave soliton self-frequency shift is larger than the Raman soliton self-frequency shift.The obtained theoretical results describe well the long-range interaction of soliton pulse trains in an optical fiber. The value of bit error rate due to electrostrictional interaction of optical pulses in high bit rate, ultra long soliton communication systems have been obtained. 相似文献
