Oil content in sweet and bitter fennels was obtained 12.22% and 14.41%, respectively. The C(18:1 c6), C(18:2), C(18:1 c9) and C(16:0) acids corresponding to approximately 97% of total oil was recorded as principal fatty acids. The ratios of essential oil from sweet and bitter fennels were found similar (average 3.00%). trans-Anethole, estragole and fenchone were found to be the main constituents in both fennels. The compound with the highest value in the two oil samples was trans-anethole as 95.25% (sweet) and 75.13% (bitter). While estragole was found in bitter fennel oil in a remarkable amount (15.51%), sweet fennel oil contained small amounts of estragole (2.87%). Fenchone was found <1% in sweet and approximately 5% in bitter fennel. p-Anisaldehyde in bitter fennel essential oil, and alpha-pinene and gamma-terpinene in sweet fennel essential oil were not recorded, and these compounds were found very low or <1%.  相似文献

In this study, water-distilled essential oils from the flowers of Tanacetum zahlbruckneri and flowers and stems of Tanacetum tabrisianum from Turkey were analysed by gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The flower oil of T. zahlbruckneri was characterised by the sesquiterpenes germacrene D (29.7%) and spathulenol (12%). Flower (A) and stem (B) oil of T. tabrisianum was characterised by 1,8-cineole: 17.6% (A), 22.5% (B), hexadecanoic acid: 10.3% (A), 8% (B), decanoic acid: 5.8% (A) and trans-linalooloxide acetate: 5.3% (A), 4% (B). Unlike a previous report on the essential oil composition of T. tabrisianum, in this study a 1,8-cineole and hexadecanoic acid-rich oil with a low percentage of caryophyllene oxide and spathulenol was obtained. The composition of the essential oil of endemic T. zahlbruckneri was investigated for the first time.  相似文献

Lamiaceae), cultivated in Hungary, have been studied by GC and GC-MS and the qualitative and quantitative chemical composition of the essential oils in the two species have been compared.O. vulgare ssp.hirtum oil was found to contain carvacrol (76.4%), γ-terpinene (6.6%), thymol (0.23%), andp-cymene (4.7%) as the main constituents whereas the major compounds inO. vulgare ssp.vulgare oil werep-cymene (22.3%), caryophyllene oxide (10.2%), sabinene (7.9%), γ-terpinene (5.1%), thymol (0.34%), and spathulenol (4.8%). The stability of content and composition of the oils during the flowering period (economically beneficial period) were observed. The effect of long-term storage on the composition of the oil was also investigated for both the crude and distilled oil ofOriganum vulgare ssp.vulgare. The essential oil of Helichrysum italicum (Roth) G. Don (everlasting or Immortelle essential oil) was isolated by hydrodistillation and analysed by GC and GCMS. Forty four compounds were identified. The main components were alpha-pinene(12.8%), 2-methyl-cyclohexyl pentanoate (11.1 %), neryl acetate (10.4%), 1,7-di-epi-alpha-cedrene (6.8%) and other compounds. The oil was fractionated and ester-containing fraction was hydrolysed with KOH/H(2)SO(4). The liberated volatiles were analysed by GC and GC-MS: three phenols and twenty seven volatile carboxylic acids were identified[70% low fatty acids (C(2)-C(5)), 15% C(10)-C(12) acids and 15% other acids]. The main acids were acetic acid (24.3%) propanoic acid (17.2%), 2-methylpropanoic acid (11.4%),dodecanoic acid (8.7%), 2-methylbutanoic acid (8.3%), (Z)-2-methylbutenoic acid(5.1%) and decanoic acid (4.6%). With respect to the identified bonded carboxylic acids, the minimal number of esters in the oil was twenty seven, but their overall quantity was probably larger due to different possible combinations of alcohols with acids to form esters. On the other hand, only six main esters were identified in the oil before fractionation and hydrolysis.  相似文献

The essential oil obtained from the flowering parts of Anthemis altissima L. var. altissima was analysed by gas chromatography and gas chromatography mass spectroscopy. In this study, 34 compounds representing 98.76% of the essential oil were identified. The main components were α-terpineol (26.42%), β-pinene (9.23%), cis-chrysanthenyl acetate (6.30%), globulol (5.36%), n-tricosane (4.41%), terpinen-4-ol (4.08%) and 1,8 cineole (3.84%). Antibacterial activities of the essential oil and its two major components (α-terpineol and β-pinene) were determined using microdilution method against both Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus epidermidis) and Gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae) bacteria. The essential oil showed a broad-spectrum antibacterial activity (MICs ranged from 3.13 to 6.25?μL?mL(-1)). It was found that α-terpineol with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of the range 0.87-1.56?μL?mL(-1) was a more potent antibacterial agent than β-pinene with MIC values of the range 1.56-6.25?μL?mL(-1). All of them, the essential oil, β-pinene and α-terpineol, were more effective against Gram-positive bacteria than Gram-negative ones.  相似文献

Eleven new phragmalin-type limonoids, swietenitins N-X (1-11), together with a known one, epoxyfebrinin B (12), were isolated from the twigs of Swietenia macrophylla. The structures of the new compounds were established on the basis of spectroscopic methods, and that of compound 1 was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The stereochemistry of epoxyfebrinin B (12) was fully assigned in this study.  相似文献

Phytochemical analysis by GC and GC/MS of the essential oil samples obtained from fresh shoots and flowers of Saponaria officinalis L. allowed the identification of 96 components in total, comprising 94.7% and 86.0% of the total oils compositions, respectively. Regarding the shoots essential oil, the major of 87 identified volatile compounds were phytol (14.1%), tricosane-6,8-dione (13.4%), patchouli alcohol (7.9%) and tricosane (7.2%), whereas patchouli alcohol (20.0%), heneicosane (11.5%) and tricosane (8.4%) were dominant among the 66 volatiles in the flower oil. Nonterpenoid compounds had the highest contribution in S. officinalis shoots essential oil (53.7%), while in the flower oil, constituents were almost evenly distributed between the oxygenated sesquiterpenoid (41.2%) and nonterpenoid compounds (39.5%).  相似文献
