Cluster synchronization is investigated for complex networks via linear and adaptive feedback control strategies. It is shown that two different controllers can be designed to achieve the cluster synchronization. Unlike most existing papers, we need not nondelayed and delayed coupling matrices to be symmetric or irreducible. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.  相似文献

In this paper, effect of the coupling matrix with a weight parameter on synchronization pattern in a globally coupled network is investigated. On the basis of matrix theory, the threshold values of the coupling strength and the weight parameter for cluster synchronization have been obtained by utilizing the attractiveness criteria of the invariant synchronization manifold. It shows that cluster synchronization bifurcation comes forth, which concept is first put forward. That is to say, via changing the weight parameter and the coupling strength, the purpose of controlling the number of clusters is achieved, which provides a new idea for control the number of clusters in a network. Numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the theoretical results. In addition, the theoretical results and the numerical simulations also show that full synchronization may not be realized even if the network is globally coupled when there are some negative couplings.  相似文献

Cluster synchronization is an interesting issue in complex dynamical networks with community structure. In this paper, we study cluster synchronization of complex networks with non-identical systems by input-to-state stability. Some sufficient conditions that ensure cluster synchronization of complex networks are provided. We show that the cluster synchronization is difficult to achieve if there are some links among different clusters. The analysis is then extended to the case where the outer coupling strengths are adaptive. Finally, numerical simulations are given to validate our theoretical analysis.  相似文献

The fluctuation of intracellular and extracellular ion concentration induces the variation of membrane potential, and also complex distribution of electromagnetic field is generated. Furthermore, the membrane potential can be modulated by time-varying electromagnetic field. Therefore, magnetic flux is proposed to model the effect of electromagnetic induction in case of complex electrical activities of cell, and memristor is used to connect the coupling between membrane potential and magnetic flux. Based on the improved neuron model with electromagnetic induction being considered, the bidirectional coupling-induced synchronization behaviors between two coupled neurons are investigated on Spice tool and also printed circuit board. It is found that electromagnetic induction is helpful for discharge of neurons under positive feedback coupling, while electromagnetic induction is necessary to enhance synchronization behaviors of coupled neurons under negative feedback coupling. The frequency analysis on isolate neuron confirms that the frequency spectrum is enlarged under electromagnetic induction, and self-induction effect is detected. These experimental results can be helpful for further dynamical analysis on synchronization of neuronal network subjected to electromagnetic radiation.  相似文献

Outer synchronization between the drive network and the response network has attracted much more attention in various fields of science and engineering. In this paper, mixed outer synchronization between two complex dynamical networks with nonidentical nodes and output coupling is investigated via impulsive hybrid control, that is, an adaptive feedback controller with impulsive control effects. Moreover, both the cases of complex networks without and with coupling delay are considered. According to the stability analysis of the impulsive functional differential equation, several sufficient conditions for the networks to achieve mixed outer synchronization are derived. Numerical examples are presented finally to illustrate the effectiveness and advantage of the proposed synchronization criteria.  相似文献

This paper investigates the global finite-time synchronization of a class of the second-order nonautonomous chaotic systems via a master?Cslave coupling. A?continuous generalized linear state-error feedback controller with simple structure is introduced into the synchronization scheme. Some easily implemented algebraic criteria for achieving the global finite-time synchronization are proven and then optimized for the purposes of improving their sharpness. The optimized criteria are applied to a practical master?Cslave synchronization scheme for the single-machine-infinite-bus (SMIB) systems, obtaining the precise corresponding synchronization conditions. Several numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the new synchronization criteria.  相似文献

This paper investigates synchronization of a complex network with non-derivative and derivative coupling. For achieving the pinning synchronization, the corresponding controllers are designed and applied to only a small fraction of nodes. Both linear and adaptive feedback control methods are used to design controllers. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, several simple and useful criteria for pinning synchronization are derived. In this paper, the synchronization of Takagi–Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy complex networks with time-varying delays and adaptive coupling weights is studied. Using the pinning control and adaptive feedback strategy, a new general class of complex networks with fuzzy logic is proposed and its synchronization is investigated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The adaptive update law of coupling weight is only related to the dynamical behaviors of directly connected nodes. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, it is proven that the synchronization of the addressed network can be achieved under those control strategies. Finally, two numerical examples are given to verify the effectiveness of our theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of optimization of the synchronization of a chaotic modified Rayleigh system. We first introduce a four-dimensional autonomous chaotic system which is obtained by the modification of a two-dimensional Rayleigh system. Some basic dynamical properties and behaviors of this system are investigated. An appropriate electronic circuit (analog simulator) is proposed for the investigation of the dynamical behavior of the proposed system. Correspondences are established between the coefficients of the system model and the components of the electronic circuit. Furthermore, we propose an optimal robust adaptive feedback which accomplishes the synchronization of two modified Rayleigh systems using the controllability functions method. The advantage of the proposed scheme is that it takes into account the energy wasted by feedback coupling and the closed loop performance on synchronization. Also, a finite horizon is explicitly computed such that the chaos synchronization is achieved at an established time. Numerical simulations are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization strategy. Pspice analog circuit implementation of the complete master–slave controller system is also presented to show the feasibility of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

This paper deals with the synchronization problem of complex dynamical networks with interval time-varying coupling delays. A simple local linear feedback controller is introduced to guarantee the synchronizability of the networks. Some delay-dependent synchronization conditions for the controlled complex dynamical networks are presented by using the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional method and the reciprocally convex combination approach. Theoretical analysis and numerical examples show that the obtained conditions have less computational complexity and less conservatism than some recently reported ones.  相似文献

This paper studies the practical adaptive synchronization of a class of uncertain chaotic systems in the drive-response framework. An adaptive response system is designed to practically synchronize a given drive chaotic system with uncertainties. An improved adaptation law on the upper bound of uncertainties is proposed to guarantee the boundedness of both the synchronization error and the estimated feedback coupling gains. The efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed approach is illustrated by computer simulation.  相似文献

In this paper, the synchronization for time-delayed complex networks with adaptive coupling weights is studied. A pinning strategy and a local adaptive scheme to determine coupling weights and feedback gains are proposed. It is noted that our control strategies only rely on some local information other than the global information of the whole network. Finally, the developed techniques are applied to two complex networks which are respectively synchronized to an unstable equilibrium point and a chaotic attractor.  相似文献

We propose a simple scheme for the synchronization of an uncertain complex dynamical network with delayed coupling. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory of functional differential equations, certain controllers can be designed for ensuring the states of uncertain dynamical network with coupling delays to globally asymptotically synchronize by combining the adaptive method and linear feedback with the updated feedback strength. Different update gains η i will lead to different rates toward synchrony, the choice of which depends on the concrete systems and network models. This strategy can be applied to any complex dynamical network (regular, small-world, scale-free or random). Numerical examples with respectively nearest-neighbor coupling and scale-free structure are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our presented scheme.  相似文献

In this paper, projective synchronization of drive-response coupled dynamical network with delayed system nodes and coupling time-varying delay is investigated via impulsive control, where the scaling factors are different from each other. Different controllers are designed to achieve the projective synchronization: only impulsive control is used when the scaling factors need extra limitation, while an extra controller, that is, a simple linear feedback controller, is added when the scaling factors don??t need extra limitation. Based on the stability analysis of the impulsive functional differential equation, the sufficient conditions for achieving projective synchronization of such coupled network are established, and an estimate of the upper bound of impulsive intervals ensuring global exponential synchronization of drive-response coupled dynamical network is also given. Numerical examples on the time-delay Lorenz chaotic systems are presented finally to illustrate the effectiveness and advantage of the proposed synchronization criteria.  相似文献

The synchronization in general coupled networks subjected to pinning control is investigated. Some generic stability criteria based on the Lyapunov approach are derived for such general controlled networks, which guarantee that the whole network can be pinned to a synchronization state by placing feedback control on only a small fraction of nodes. A real network of television audience flows across 28 satellite channels in China and a representative BA scale-free network composed of chaotic systems are shown, respectively, for illustration and verification. It is found that pinning stability can be improved via increasing pinning density and/or pinning strength for complete diagonal inner coupling.  相似文献

This paper considers synchronization problem of a delayed complex dynamical network. For the problem, the virtual target node is chosen as one of nodes in the complex network. It should be pointed out that only one connection is needed between a real target node and a virtual target node instead of N connections. Moreover, the proposed synchronization scheme does not require additional conditions for coupling matrix unlike the existing works. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, a new design criterion for an adaptive feedback controller to achieving synchronization between the real target node and all nodes of the delayed complex network is developed. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a numerical example in order to show the effectiveness of our results.  相似文献

In drive-response complex-variable systems, projective synchronization with respect to a real number, real matrix, or even real function means that drive-response systems evolve simultaneously along the same or inverse direction in a complex plane. However, in many practical situations, the drive-response systems may evolve in different directions with a constant intersection angle. Therefore, this paper investigates projective synchronization in drive-response networks of coupled complex-variable chaotic systems with respect to complex numbers, called complex projective synchronization (CPS). The adaptive feedback control method is adopted first to achieve CPS in a general drive-response network. For a special class of drive-response networks, the CPS is achieved via pinning control. Furthermore, a universal pinning control scheme is proposed via the adaptive coupling strength method, several simple and useful criteria for CPS are obtained, and all results are illustrated by numerical examples.  相似文献

In this paper, we numerically study the effect of time-periodic coupling strength on the synchronization of firing activity in delayed Newman–Watts networks of chaotic bursting neurons. We first examine how the firing synchronization transitions induced by time delay under fixed coupling strength changes in the presence of time-periodic coupling strength, and then focus on how time-periodic coupling strength induces synchronization transitions in the networks. It is found that time delay can induce more synchronization transitions in the presence of time-periodic coupling strength compared to fixed coupling strength. As the frequency of time-periodic coupling strength is varied, the firing exhibits multiple synchronization transitions between spiking antiphase synchronization and in-phase synchronization of various firing behaviors including bursting, spiking, and both bursting and spiking, depending on the values of time delay. These results show that time-periodic coupling strength can increase the synchronization transitions by time delay and can induce multiple synchronization transitions of various firing behaviors in the neuronal networks. This means that time-periodic coupling strength plays an important role in the information processing and transmission in neural systems.  相似文献

We study the appearance of a chaotic partial synchronization in a system of globally coupled maps. We analyze the structure of cluster zones for small values of the coupling parameter and conditions for the formation of chaotic attractors on cluster manifolds.
