This work deals with the vibrational spectroscopy of 4-amino-2,6-dichloropyridine (ADCP) and 2-chloro-3,5-dinitropyridine (CDNP) by means of quantum chemical calculations. The mid and far FTIR and FT-Raman spectra were measured in the condensed state. The fundamental vibrational frequencies and intensity of vibrational bands were evaluated using density functional theory (DFT) with the standard B3LYP/6-31G(*) and B3LYP/6-311+G(**) methods and basis set combinations, and was scaled using various scale factors which yields a good agreement between observed and calculated frequencies. The vibrational spectra were interpreted with the aid of normal coordinate analysis based on scaled density functional force field. The results of the calculations were applied to simulated infrared and Raman spectra of the title compounds, which showed excellent agreement with the observed spectra.  相似文献

The solid-state X-ray diffraction, FT-IR and FT-Raman measurements of cynacure have been performed. Optimized molecular structures and normal vibrations of cynacure and 2-(methylthio)aniline have been calculated in the gas phase at the B3LYP/6-311++G** level. Scaling factors that bring computational gas-phase frequencies in closer agreement with the solid-state experimental data have been calculated for each vibration type. The observed IR and Raman bands of cynacure and 2-(methylthio)aniline have been assigned in the frameworks of the calculated mode frequencies as well as the calculated IR and Raman intensities. The assignments of the normal modes of cynacure have been compared with those of the benzene and 2-(methylthio)aniline modes. The effects of the substitution on the benzene vibrational frequencies have been investigated. 2-(Methylthio)aniline and cynacure both have four stable conformers. The calculated ground-state energetics and vibrational spectra of 2-(methylthio)aniline and cynacure suggest the coexistence of their stable conformers at the room temperature.  相似文献

The Fourier Transform Infrared spectrum of (S)-4 ethyl-4-hydroxy-1H-pyrano [3',4':6,7]-indolizino-[1,2-b-quinoline-3,14-(4H,12H)-dione] [camptothecin] was recorded in the region 4000-400 cm(-1). The Fourier Transform Raman spectrum of camptothecin (CPT) was also recorded in the region 3500-50 cm(-1). Quantum chemical calculations of geometrical structural parameters and vibrational frequencies of CPT were carried out by MP2/6-31G(d,p) and density functional theory DFT/B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) methods. The assignment of each normal mode has been made using the observed and calculated frequencies, their IR and Raman intensities. The harmonic vibrational frequencies were calculated and the scaled values have been compared with experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra. Most of the computed frequencies were found to be in good agreement with the experimental observations. The isotropic chemical shifts computed by (13)C and (1)H NMR analysis also show good agreement with experimental observations. Comparison of calculated spectra with the experimental spectra provides important information about the ability of computational method to describe the vibrational modes of large sized organic molecule.  相似文献

The solid phase FTIR and FT-Raman spectra of 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl pyrimidine (ADMP) have been recorded in the regions 4000-400 cm(-1) and 3500-50 cm(-1) respectively. The structure was investigated by utilizing density functional theory (DFT) calculations with the Becke 3-Lee-Yang-Parr (B3LYP) method employing the 6-31+G and 6-311++G basis sets. The optimized geometrical parameters obtained by B3LYP method show good agreement with experimental data. Complete vibrational assignments were made on the basis of normal coordinate analysis (NCA) for the molecule. The infrared and Raman spectra were also predicted from the calculated intensities. The observed and the calculated spectra were found to be in good agreement. The thermodynamic properties like entropies and their correlations with temperatures were also obtained from the harmonic frequencies of the optimized structures.  相似文献

The conformational equilibria and vibrational spectra of diacetamide have been investigated by ab initio molecular orbital studies using the basis sets 6-31g(d,p) and 6-31++g(d,p) at Hartree-Fock and MP2 levels. The vibrational spectra of diacetamide have been satisfactorily interpreted taking into consideration the agreement between the calculated harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared and Raman band intensities and shifts in deuterated molecules with those observed. The solvent effects were investigated by the self-consistent reaction field (SCRF) theory. The effect of solvent on the conformational equilibria and vibrational spectra is discussed. The calculated changes in the geometry and vibrational spectra on going from the gas phase to the solvent medium are in accord with the increasing weight of the dipolar resonance structure of the amide group in more polar solvents.  相似文献

The FT-Raman (3500-100 cm−1) and FT-IR (4000-450 cm−1) spectra of 2-chloro-4-fluorobenzophenone were recorded in the solid phase. Density functional theory calculations with B3LYP/6-31G (d, p) basis set was used to determine the ground state molecular geometries (bond lengths and bond angles), harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities and Raman activities of this compound. Potential energy distributions (PEDs) and normal modes, for the spectral data computed at B3LYP/6-31G (d, p) level, have also been obtained from force-field calculations. The wavenumbers found after scaling of the force field showed very good agreement with the experimentally determined values. A comparison of the theoretical spectra and experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of the title molecule has been made and full vibrational assignments of the observed spectra have been proposed. On the basis of vibrational analyses, the thermodynamic properties of title compound at different temperatures have been calculated.  相似文献

The solid phase FTIR and FT-Raman spectra of 4-butyl benzoic acid (4-BBA) have been recorded in the regions 400-4000 and 50-4000cm(-1), respectively. The spectra were interpreted in terms of fundamentals modes, combination and overtone bands. The structure of the molecule was optimized and the structural characteristics were determined by density functional theory (DFT) using B3LYP method with 6-311++G(d,p) as basis set. The vibrational frequencies were calculated for monomer and dimer by DFT method and were compared with the experimental frequencies, which yield good agreement between observed and calculated frequencies. The infrared and Raman spectra were also predicted from the calculated intensities. (13)C and (1)H NMR spectra were recorded and (13)C and (1)H nuclear magnetic resonance chemical shifts of the molecule were calculated using the gauge independent atomic orbital (GIAO) method. UV-visible spectrum of the compound was recorded in the region 200-400nm and the electronic properties HOMO and LUMO energies were measured by time-dependent TD-DFT approach. The geometric parameters, energies, harmonic vibrational frequencies, IR intensities, Raman intensities, chemical shifts and absorption wavelengths were compared with the available experimental data of the molecule.  相似文献

The FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 2-bromo-4-chlorotoluene (2B4CT) molecule have been recorded in the region 4000-400 cm(-1) and 3500-50 cm(-1), respectively. Optimized geometrical structures, harmonic vibrational frequencies, intensities, reduced mass, force constants and depolarization ratio have been computed by the B3 based (B3LYP) density functional methods using 6-31+G(d,p) and 6-311++G(d,p) basis sets. The observed FT-IR and FT-Raman vibrational frequencies are analysed and compared with theoretically predicted vibrational frequencies. The geometries and normal modes of vibration obtained from DFT method are in good agreement with the experimental data. The Mulliken charges, the natural bonding orbital (NBO) analysis, the values of electric dipole moment (μ) and the first-order hyperpolarizability (β) of the investigated molecule were computed using DFT calculations. The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies show that charge transfer occurs within molecule. The influences of bromine atom, chlorine atom and methyl group on the geometry of benzene and its normal modes of vibrations have also been discussed.  相似文献

In this work, we will report a combined experimental and theoretical study on molecular structure, vibrational spectra, NBO and UV spectral analysis of 2-chlorobenzonitrile (2-ClBN). The FT-IR solid phase (4000-400 cm(-1)), and FT-Raman spectra (3500-50 cm(-1)) of 2-ClBN was recorded. The molecular geometry, harmonic vibrational frequencies and bonding features of 2-ClBN in the ground state have been calculated by using the density functional methods (BLYP, B3LYP) with 6-31G(d,p) as basis set. The assignments of the vibrational spectra have been carried out with the help of normal co-ordinate analysis (NCA) following the Scaled Quantum Mechanical Force Field Methodology (SQMFF). Stability of the molecule arising from hyper conjugative interactions, charge delocalization has been analyzed using natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis. The results show that charge in electron density (ED) in the σ* and π* anti bonding orbitals and E2 energies confirms the occurrence of ICT (Intra molecular Charge Transfer) within the molecule. The UV spectrum was measured in ethanol solution. The energy and oscillator strength calculated by Time-Dependent Density Functional Theory (TD-DFT) results complements with the experimental findings. The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies also confirm that charge transfer occurs within the molecule. Finally calculated results were applied to simulated Infrared and Raman spectra of the title compound which show good agreement with observed spectra.  相似文献

In this work, the experimental and theoretical vibrational spectra of 2-chloro-4-methylaniline (2Cl4MA, C7H8NCl) were studied. FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 2Cl4MA in the liquid phase have been recorded in the region 4000–400 cm−1 and 3500–50 cm−1, respectively. The structural and spectroscopic data of the molecule in the ground state have been calculated by using Hartree-Fock (HF) and density functional method (B3LYP) with the 6-31G(d), 6-31G(d,p), 6-31+G(d,p), 6-31++G(d,p) and 6-311G(d), 6-311G(d,p), 6-311+G(d,p), 6-311++G(d,p) basis sets. The vibrational frequencies have been calculated and scaled values have been compared with experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra. The observed and calculated frequencies are found to be in good agreement. The complete assignments were performed on the basis of the total energy distribution (TED) of the vibrational modes, calculated with scaled quantum mechanics (SQM) method. The DFT-B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) calculations have been found more reliable than the ab initio HF/6-311++G(d,p) calculations for the vibrational study of 2Cl4MA. The optimized geometric parameters (bond lengths and bond angles) were compared with experimental values of aniline and p-methylaniline molecules.  相似文献

We present a detailed analysis of the structural, infrared spectra and visible spectra of the 4-substituted aminoazo-benzenesulfonyl azides. The preparation of 4-sulfonyl azide benzenediazonium chloride with cyclic amines of various ring sizes (pyrrolidine, piperidine, 4-methylpiperidine, N-methylpiperazine, morpholine and hexamethyleneimine) have been investigated theoretically by performing HF and DFT levels of theory using the standard 6-31G* basis set. The optimized geometries and calculated vibrational frequencies are evaluated via comparison with experimental values. The vibrational spectral data obtained from solid phase FT-IR spectra are assigned modes based on the results of the theoretical calculations. The observed spectra are found to be in good agreement with the calculations.  相似文献

The FTIR and FT Raman vibrational spectra of 1,5-methylnaphthalene (1,5-MN) have been recorded using Brunker IFS 66 V Spectrometer in the range 3600-10 cm(-1) in the solid phase. A detailed vibrational spectral analysis has been carried out and assignments of the observed fundamental bands have been proposed on the basis of peak positions and relative intensities. The Optimized molecular geometry, harmonic frequencies, electronic polarizability, atomic charges, dipole moment, rotational constants and several thermodynamic parameters in the ground state were calculated using ab initio Hartree Fock (HF) and density functional B3LYP methods (DFT) with 6-311++ G(d) basis set. With the help of different scaling factors, the observed vibrational wavenumbers in FTIR and FT Raman spectra were analyzed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. Most of the modes have wavenumbers in the expected range. The results of the calculations were applied to simulated infrared and Raman spectra of the title compound which showed excellent agreement with the observed spectra.  相似文献
