Chiral differentiation of four enantiomeric pairs of β-amino acids, cis-(1R,2S)-, cis-(1S,2R)-, trans-(1R,2R)-, and trans-(1S,2S)-2-aminocyclopentanecarboxylic acids (cyclopentane β-amino acids), and cis-(1R,2S)-, cis-(1S,2R)-, trans-(1R,2R)-, and trans-(1S,2S)-2-aminocyclohexanecarboxylic acids (cyclohexane β-amino acids) was performed successfully by using host-guest complexes and ion/molecule reactions. The experiments were conducted by using electrospray ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. The effect of a chiral host molecule was tested by using three different host compounds; (+)-(18-Crown-6)-2,3,11,12-tetracarboxylic acid, (−)-(18-Crown-6)-2,3,11,12-tetracarboxylic acid, and β-cyclodextrin. This is the first time that small enantiomeric pairs with two chiral centers have been differentiated using ion/molecule reactions and host-guest complexes.  相似文献

A tunable supramolecular phenylacetylene host system with a chiral channel-like cavity is developed by using (1R,2S)-2-amino-1,2-diphenylethanol. This host system possesses a chiral 21-helical columnar structure; chiral cavities are constructed by the self-assembly of the 21-helical column, and guest molecules are included by varying the packing of this column.  相似文献

The two pyrrolidinylidenesulfamido‐modified β‐cyclodextrins (β‐CDs) 3 and 4 were prepared and studied for chiral discrimination of the enantiomers (R)‐ and (S)‐ 1 of zolmitriptan. The pyrrolidinylidenesulfamido spacer improved the chiral discrimination and binding abilities of these modified cyclodextrins. The hosts 3 and 4 showed higher selectivity for (S)‐ 1 . The association constants (Table) and enantioselectivity factors were calculated for the complexes of (R)‐ and (S)‐ 1 with the β‐CDs 2 – 4 . The formation of host?guest complexes was confirmed by 1H‐NMR studies.  相似文献

Homochiral crown ether (S,S)-1 containing 1-naphthyl groups as chiral barriers together with the phenol moiety was prepared by using (S)-3 as a chiral subunit which was resolved in enantiomerically pure form by lipase-catalyzed enantioselective acylation of (±)-3. Homochiral phenolic crown ether (S,S)-2, containing phenyl groups as chiral barriers, was also prepared from (S)-5 which was derived from (S)-mandelic acid. The association constants for their complexes with chiral amines in CHCl3 were determined at various temperatures by the UV–visible spectroscopic method demonstrating that the crown ethers (S,S)-1 and (S,S)-2 displayed the large ΔRSΔG values of 6.2 and 6.4 kJ mol−1, respectively, towards the amine 21 at 15°C. Thermodynamic parameters for complex formation were also determined and a linear correlation between TΔRSΔS and ΔRSΔH values was observed.  相似文献

Enantioselective host-guest complexes between α-amino-alcohol salts and chiral tartrates can not be crystallised up to now. To study structural aspects of their enantioselectivity, crystal structures of the components were determined. Norephedrine was used as a reference guest α-amino-alcohol. (1R, 2S)-Norephedrine hydrochloride (monoclinic, space group P21 Z = 4, a = 8.455, b = 10.331, c = 12.570 Å, β = 107.45°) and (1R, 2R)-norpseudoephedrine hydrochloride (monoclinic, space group P21 Z = 2, a = 5.493, b = 8.052, c = 11.986 Å, β = 104.62°) both adopt M-synclinal conformations with respect to the ammonium and hydroxy groups. Rather short intramolecular N…?O distances indicate interaction between ammonium and hydroxy groups.  相似文献

The crystal structure and absolute configuration of a molecular host/guest/impurity inclusion complex were established unequivocally in spite of our having no prior knowledge of its chemical composition. The host (4R,5R)‐4,5‐bis(hydroxydiphenylmethyl)‐2,2‐dimethyl‐1,3‐dioxolane, (I), displays expected conformational features. The crystal‐disordered chiral guest 4,4a,5,6,7,8‐hexahydronaphthalen‐2(3H)‐one, (II), is present in the crystal 85.1 (4)% of the time. It shares a common site with 4a‐hydroperoxymethyl‐4,4a,5,6,7,8‐hexahydronaphthalen‐2(3H)‐one, (III), present 14.9 (4)% of the time, which is the product of autoxidation of (II). This minor peroxide impurity was isolated, and the results of nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, and X‐ray fluorescence studies are consistent with the proposed structure of (III). The complete structure was therefore determined to be (4R,5R)‐4,5‐bis(hydroxydiphenylmethyl)‐2,2‐dimethyl‐1,3‐dioxolane–4,4a,5,6,7,8‐hexahydronaphthalen‐2(3H)‐one–4a‐hydroperoxymethyl‐4,4a,5,6,7,8‐hexahydronaphthalen‐2(3H)‐one (1/0.85/0.15), C31H30O4·0.85C10H14O·0.15C10H14O3, (IV). There are host–host, host–guest, and host–impurity hydrogen‐bonding interactions of types S and D in the solid state. We believe that the crystals of (IV) were originally prepared to establish the chirality of the guest (II) by means of X‐ray diffraction analysis of host/guest crystals obtained in the course of chiral resolution during cocrystallization of (II) with (I). In spite of the absence of `heavy' elements, the absolute configurations of all anomeric centres in the structure are assigned as R based on resonant scattering effects.  相似文献

Abstract

Discrimination of chiral amines by dimethyldiketopyridino-18-crown-6 (1) is studied by free energy peturbation (FEP) and molecular dynamics (MD) methods. 1 has two (S)-chiral centers and discriminates chiral amines through host-guest interactions. The optically active amines in this study are α-(1-naphthyl)ethylamine, methylbenzylamine, cyclohexylethylamine, and sec-butylamine. The trends in binding free energy differences obtained from FEP calculations were in excellent agreement with experimental results obtained in the gas phase. In order to explain the enantioselectivity of the host in terms of the host-guest interactions at the molecular level, we analyzed the structures generated by 10-ns MD simulations of host-guest complexes. The suggested chiral discrimination mechanism, the π-π interaction and the steric repulsion between the guest and the host, was verified by our MD simulation analysis.  相似文献

The chiral compounds (R)‐ and (S)‐1‐benzoyl‐2,3,5,6‐tetrahydro‐3‐methyl‐2‐(1‐methylethyl)pyrimidin‐4(1H)‐one ((R)‐ and (S)‐ 1 ), derived from (R)‐ and (S)‐asparagine, respectively, were used as convenient starting materials for the preparation of the enantiomerically pure α‐alkylated (alkyl=Me, Et, Bn) α,β‐diamino acids (R)‐ and (S)‐ 11 – 13 . The chiral lithium enolates of (R)‐ and (S)‐ 1 were first alkylated, and the resulting diasteroisomeric products 5 – 7 were aminated with ‘di(tert‐butyl) azodicarboxylate’ (DBAD), giving rise to the diastereoisomerically pure (≥98%) compounds 8 – 10 . The target compounds (R)‐ and (S)‐ 11 – 13 could then be obtained in good yields and high purities by a hydrolysis/hydrogenolysis/hydrolysis sequence.  相似文献

A secondary chiral (R)-(?)-2-alcohol underwent the Mitsunobu reaction with triphenylphosphine, diethyl azodicarboxylate and ethyl 4-hydroxybiphenylcarboxylate, resulting in the desired (S)-(+)-product with high enantiomeric purity (>99% ee), with the chiral branched chain attached to the biphenyl. This method is operationally simple and provides the very important chiral precursor in good yields (62% in dry THF and 72% in dry Et2O). The condensation of the (S)-(+)-acid chloride from this material and a suitable 4-n-alkylthiophenol in toluene in the presence of pyridine or triethylamine furnishes the chiral (S)-(+)-thiobenzoate liquid crystals in good yields (80–83% in pyridine and 65–68% in Et3N). (S)-(+)-4-(1-Methylheptyloxy)biphenyl 4-alkylthiobenzoates are abbreviated (S)-MHOBSn , where n varies from 4 to 10 and denotes the number of carbon atoms in the alkyl chain. DSC, polarizing microscopy and X-ray diffraction showed that the (S)-MHOBSn series possesses a rich phase polymorphism: two highly ordered tilted phases CrG* and SmI*, as well as the ferroelectric smectic C (SmC*) and chiral nematic (N*) phase. In this series, the seldom observed transition between the chiral phases SmI*–SmC* is seen. All the compounds possess stable enantiotropic SmC* and N* phases. The existence of weak intermolecular hydrogen-bonding in (S)-MHOBSn was confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Standard values of vicinal coupling constants are proposed in order to assign relative configuratations and analyse the conformational distribution of acyclic chiral carbinols and hydrocarbons. Thus, the assignment of relative configurations has been achieved for the diastereomeric carbinols, (2R4R, 2S4S)- and (2R4S, 2S4R)-5,5-dimethyl-4-phenyl-2-hexanol and (1R3R, 1S3S)- and (1R3S, 1S3R)-1-mesityl-4,4-dimethyl-3-phenyl-1-pentanol, through the analysis of the respective vicinal coupling constants and the corresponding conformational distribution. The analysis of the vicinal coupling constants allows the establishment of the monoconformational character of the (2R4S, 2S4R) diastereomer in the first case and the (1R3R, 1S3S) diastereomer in the second case.  相似文献

A series of optically active P‐chiral oligophosphines (S,R,R,S)‐ 2 , (S,R,S,S,R,S)‐ 3 , (S,R,S,R,R,S,R,S)‐ 4 , and (S,R,S,R,S,R,R,S,R,S,R,S)‐ 5 with four, six, eight, and 12 chiral phosphorus atoms, respectively, were successfully synthesized by a step‐by‐step oxidative‐coupling reaction from (S,S)‐ 1 . The corresponding optically inactive oligophosphines 1′ – 5′ were also prepared. Their properties were characterized by DSC, XRD, and optical‐rotation analyses. While optically active bisphosphine (S,S)‐ 1 and tetraphosphine (S,R,R,S)‐ 2 behaved as small molecules, octaphosphine (S,R,S,R,R,S,R,S)‐ 4 and dodecaphosphine (S,R,S,R,S,R,R,S,R,S,R,S)‐ 5 exhibited the features of a polymer. Furthermore, DSC and XRD analyses showed that hexaphosphine (S,R,S,S,R,S)‐ 3 is an intermediate between a small molecule and a polymer. Comparison of optically active oligophosphines 1 – 5 with the corresponding optically inactive oligophosphines 1′ – 5′ revealed that the optically active phosphines have higher crystallinity than the optically inactive counterparts. It is considered that the properties of oligophosphines depend on the enantiomeric purity as well as the oligomer chain length.  相似文献

The derivatives of BINOL, (S)-1 and (R)-1, and their analogues have been prepared and the structures of these compounds have been characterized by IR, MS, 1H, and 13C NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The enantioselective recognition of these receptors has been studied by fluorescence titration and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The receptors exhibited different chiral recognition abilities toward some enantiomers of chiral materials and formed 1:1 complexes between host and guest. Receptor (S)-1 or (R)-1 exhibits excellent enantioselective fluorescent recognition abilities toward amino acid derivatives.  相似文献

Thermochemical properties of crown ether complexes have been studied by simultaneous TG-DTA (thermogravimetric analysis-differential thermal analysis) coupled with a mass spectrometer, DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) and hot stage microscopy (HSM). The examined complexes contain benzylammonium- [BA], (R)-(+)-a-phenylethylammonium- [(R)-PEA], (R)-(+)- and (S)-(-)-a-(1-naphthyl)ethylammonium perchlorate [(R)-NEA and (S)-NEA] salts as guests. In the cases of BA and (R)-PEA an achiral pyridono-18-crown-6 ligand [P18C6], and in the case of (R)-NEA and (S)-NEA a chiral (R,R)-dimethylphenazino-18-crown-6 ligand [(R,R)-DMPh18C6] was used as host molecule to obtain four different crown ether complexes. In all cases, the melting points of the complexes were higher than those of both the host and the guest compounds. The decomposition of the complexes begins immediately after their melting is completed, while the BA and (R)-PEA salts and the crown ether ligands are thermally stable by 50 to 100 K above their melting points. During the decomposition of the salts and the four complexes strongly exothermic processes can be observed which are due to oxidative reactions of the perchlorate anion. Ammonium perchlorate crystals were identified among the decomposition residues of the salts. P18C6 was observed to crystallize with two molecules of water. The studied complexes of P18C6 did not contain any solvate. BA was observed to exhibit a reversible solid-solid phase transition upon heating. The heterochiral complex consisting of (S)-NEA and (R,R)-DMPh18C6 shows a solid-solid phase transition followed by two melting points. HSM observations identified three crystal modifications, two of them simultaneously co-existing. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Poly(phenylacetylene)s containing L ‐valine residues (P 1 ) with (a)chiral pendant terminal groups R(*) [?(HC?C{C6H4CONHCH[CH(CH3)2]COO? R(*)})n?]; R(*) = 1‐octyl (P 1 o), (1S,2R,5S)‐(+)‐menthyl [P 1 (+)], (1R,2S,5R)‐(?)‐menthyl [P 1 (?)] are designed and synthesized. The polymers are prepared by organorhodium catalysts in high yields (yield up to 88%) with high molecular weights (Mw up to ?6.4 × 105). Their structures and properties are characterized by NMR, IR, TGA, UV, and circular dichroism analyses. All the polymers are thermally fairly stable (Td ≥ 320 °C). The chiral moieties induce the poly(phenylacetylene) chains to helically rotate in a preferred direction. The chirality of the pendant terminal groups affects little the helicity of the polymers but their bulkiness stabilizes the helical conformation against solvent perturbation. The backbone conjugation and chain helicity of the polymers can be modulated continuously and reversibly by acid. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Conformation of novel terephthalamide hosts 1 changes from anti to syn upon complexation with a bidentate guest (2 or 3). Chiral sense in the helical syn-form of the double-armed host molecules 1 is biased by the asymmetric centers on the chiral guest [(R,R)/(S,S)-2a], which can be detected by the drastic change in circular dichroism (CD) spectrum thanks to the exciton coupling of two chromophores (‘arms’) linked to the amide nitrogens. Asymmetric centers on the host molecule also exhibit preference for the twisting direction upon change in geometry from the anti- to syn-form. Thus, the achiral guests (2b or 3) can also be detected by modulation of CD spectrum upon complexation with the chiral host [(R,R)-1a].  相似文献

The synthesis and characterisation of a novel isomeric family of closo‐carborane‐containing PtII complexes ((R/S)‐( 1 – 4 )?2 NO3) are reported. Related complexes ( 5 ?NO3 and 6 ?NO3) that contain the 7,8‐nido‐carborane cluster were obtained from the selective deboronation of the 1,2‐closo‐carborane analogues. The corresponding water‐soluble supramolecular 1:1 host–guest β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) adducts ((R/S)‐( 1 – 4 ) ? β‐CD?2 NO3) were also prepared and fully characterised. HR‐ESI‐MS experiments confirmed the presence of the host–guest adducts, and 2D‐1H{11B} ROESY NMR studies showed that the boron clusters enter the β‐CD from the side of the wider annulus. Isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) experiments revealed enthalpically driven 1:1 and higher‐order supramolecular interactions between β‐CD and (R/S)‐( 1 – 4 )?2 NO3 in aqueous solution. A comparison of the predominate 1:1 binding mode established that the affinity of β‐CD for the guest molecule is mainly influenced by the pyridyl ring substitution pattern and chirality of the host, whilst the nature of the closo‐carborane isomer also plays some role, with the most favourable structural features for β‐CD binding being the presence of the 4‐pyridyl ring, 1,12‐closo‐carborane, and an S configuration. The results reported here represent the first comprehensive calorimetric study of the supramolecular interactions between closo‐carborane compounds and β‐CD, and it provides fascinating insights into the structural features influencing the thermodynamics of this phenomenon.  相似文献

The cationic achiral and chiral terpyridine diphosphine ruthenium complexes [RuCl(PP)(tpy)]Cl (PP=dppp ( 1 ), (R,R)-Skewphos ( 2 ) and (S,S)-Skewphos ( 3 )) are easily obtained in 85–88 % yield through a one-pot synthesis from [RuCl2(PPh3)3], the diphosphine and 2,2′:6′,2′′-terpyridine (tpy) in 1-butanol. Treatment of 1 – 3 with NaPF6 in methanol at RT affords quantitatively the corresponding derivatives [RuCl(PP)(tpy)]PF6 (PP=dppp ( 1 a ), (R,R)-Skewphos ( 2 a ) and (S,S)-Skewphos ( 3 a )). Reaction of [RuCl2(PPh3)3] with (S,R)-Josiphos or (R)-BINAP in toluene, followed by treatment with tpy in 1-butanol and finally with NaPF6 in MeOH gives [RuCl(PP)(tpy)]PF6 (PP=(S,R)-Josiphos ( 4 a ), (R)-BINAP ( 5 a )) isolated in 78 % and 86 % yield, respectively. The chiral derivatives have been isolated as single stereoisomers and 3 a , 4 a have been characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The tpy complexes with NaOiPr display high photocatalytic activity in the transfer hydrogenation (TH) of carbonyl compounds using 2-propanol as the only hydrogen donor and visible light at 30 °C, at remarkably high S/C (up to 5000) and TOF values up to 264 h−1. The chiral enantiomers 2 , 2 a and 3 , 3 a induce the asymmetric photocatalytic TH of acetophenone, affording (S)- and (R)-1-phenylethanol with 51 and 52 % ee, respectively, in a MeOH/2-propanol mixture.  相似文献
