Based on the beam coherent-polarization (BCP) matrix approach and propagation law of partially coherent beams, analytical propagation equations of partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams through an astigmatic lens are derived, which enables us to study the propagation-induced polarization changes and irradiance distributions at any propagation distance of PGSM beams through an astigmatic lens within the framework of the paraxial approximation. Detailed numerical results for a PGSM beam passing through an astigmatic lens are presented. A comparison with the aberration-free case is made, and shows that the astigmatism affects the propagation properties of PGSM beams.  相似文献

Detailed numerical results for a PGSM beam passing through a bifocal lens are presented to illustrate the propagation properties of PGSM beams. A detailed study of the focal shift of partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams is made on the basis of the beam coherence-polarization (BCP) matrix approach. Based on the beam coherent-polarization (BCP) matrix approach and propagation law of partially coherent beams, the focal shift and focal switch of partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams passing through a system with the aperture and spherically aberrated lens separated is studied in detail. Our main attention is focused on the effect of spherical aberration and partial coherence on the focal shift and focal switch of PGSM beams. It is shown that for polarizer-free case there is no focal switch of PGSM beams, the focal shift of PGSM beams is closely related with spherical aberration coefficient C4, auto-coherence length σa, truncation parameter δ and relative position s/f between the aperture and lens in general, and is independent of the cross-coherence length σc. After inserting a polarizer the focal switch can take place. Numerical calculation results are given to illustrate how the spherical aberration and partial coherence affect the focal shift and focal switch of PGSM beams.  相似文献

The polarization properties of nonparaxial partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams are studied. Based on the beam coherence-polarization matrix, the propagation formula of the degree of polarization for the nonparaxial PGSM beams is derived. The paraxial approximation is dealt with as special cases of our general results. Some conditions that limit the choice of the parameters are established. The sufficiency condition of polarization invariance in propagation for the nonparaxial PGSM beams is derived. By using the derived formulae, the propagation properties of the degree of polarization for the nonparaxial PGSM beam in free space are illustrated and analyzed with numerical examples. Some detailed comparisons of the obtained results with the paraxial results are made.  相似文献

为了研究部分偏振部分相干光光栅衍射场的衍射特性.利用部分偏振部分相干光的光束相干-偏振(BCP)矩阵,推导出了部分偏振部分相干光通过任意偏振光栅后,衍射场的偏振度及场中衍射级次角相关的一般解析表达式.以部分偏振的高斯-谢尔模型光束(PGSM)为例,数值分析了偏振光栅TE和TM波的复振幅透过率、入射光束的光学参量对衍射场偏振度和场中各衍射级次的角相关的影响.计算结果表明,部分相干光透过偏振光栅后的其衍射光场是一非均匀、周期变化的部分偏振相干光场;场中对称级次的角相干值对应相等,且随衍射级次序数的增大而缓慢递减至零.  相似文献

The spreading of partially coherent polychromatic Hermite-Gaussian (PCPHG) beams propagating through non-Kolmogorov turbulence is studied, where the effect of non-Kolmogorov turbulence and beam bandwidth on the beam width spreading and angular spread is stressed. It is shown that the variation of the relative beam width of PCPHG beams with the generalized exponent parameter of non-Kolmogorov turbulence is non-monotonic. The larger bandwidth of PCPHG beams is, the smaller the relative beam width and the smaller the relative angular spread. Therefore, PCPHG beams with larger bandwidth are less affected by non-Kolmogorov turbulence than those with smaller bandwidth. PCPHG beams are less sensitive to the effect of non-Kolmogorov turbulence than fully coherent polychromatic Hermite-Gaussian (FCPHG) beams and polychromatic Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams. The results are illustrated by numerical examples and interpreted.  相似文献

Based on the propagation law of partially coherent beams, the closed-form propagation expression for partially coherent cosh-Gaussian (ChG) beams through an astigmatic lens is derived. The transformation and spatial shaping of partially coherent ChG beams through the astigmatic lens are studied and illustrated by numerical examples. It is shown that a suitable choice of the spatial coherence parameter and/or astigmatic coefficient, different beam profiles, such as Gaussian-like, flat-topped and bottle beam profiles, and beam profile with a central dip, at the geometric focal plane and at a certain plane are realizable.  相似文献

引入部分相干余弦-高斯光束,推导出部分相干余弦-高斯光束通过近轴ABCD光学系统的传输公式和M2因子,研究了部分相干余弦-高斯光束通过像散透镜的传输特性.结果表明,部分相干余弦-高斯光束的M2因子与部分相干余弦-高斯光束的空间相干参量和离心参量有关,但与透镜的像散系数无关.适当选取空间相干参量,离心参量或像散系数,在几何焦面处可得到类高斯、平顶和空心等不同的光强剖面,实现部分相干余弦-高斯光束的空间整形.  相似文献

基于非Kolmogorov谱模型,利用广义惠更斯-菲涅耳原理和维格纳分布函数的二阶矩定义,推导出部分相干厄米高斯(H-G)光束在非Kolmogonov大气湍流中传输因子的解析表达式,并用以研究了非Kolmogorov大气湍流对部分相干H-G光束传输因子的影响。结果表明,部分相干H-G光束在非Kolmogorov大气湍流中传输时,传输距离、湍流外尺度、广义结构常量和空间相关长度越小,湍流内尺度和光束阶数越大,光束传输受非Kolmogorov大气湍流影响越小,光束质量越好。当广义指数取3.11时,部分相干H-G光束在传输过程中表现的光束质量最差。  相似文献

 通过加入高斯项的空间相干度,引入部分相干双曲余弦-高斯(ChG)光束,推导出部分相干ChG光束通过近轴ABCD光学系统传输的解析表达式,并用以研究其传输特性和空间整形。结果表明,部分相干ChG光束的光强分布不能保持传输不变性,其光强分布不仅与传输距离和离心参数有关,而且还与空间相干参数有关。在传输距离固定时,适当改变部分相干ChG 光束的离心参数和空间相干参数,可实现光束的空间整形。光束质量因子随空间相干性的增大和离心参数的减小而减小。高斯-谢尔模型光束和完全相干ChG光束可作为部分相干ChG光束的特例处理。  相似文献

The polychromatic partially coherent electromagnetic Cosh-Gaussian (EChG) beam is introduced and taken as a typical example of polychromatic partially coherent electromagnetic beams. Based on the unified theory of coherence and polarization, the expressions for the spectrum and the degree of polarization of polychromatic partially coherent EChG beams in the turbulent atmosphere are derived, and the conditions for keeping polarization invariance and for determining the position where the degree of polarization becomes zero along the propagation path are also given. It is shown that the normalized spectrum is close to the normalized source spectrum due to turbulence. The reasonable physical explanation of spectral shift is given. On the other hand, the bandwidth does not affect the degree of polarization, and the degree of polarization tends to the value at the source plane due to turbulence in the long-propagation distance limit. The spectrum and polarization of polychromatic electromagnetic Gaussian Schell-model (EGSM) beams and electromagnetic Gaussian (EG) beams in turbulence are treated as special cases of polychromatic partially coherent EChG beams.  相似文献

Starting from the propagation law of partially coherent light, a closed-form expression for the spectrum of Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams propagating through an astigmatic lens is derived, which enables us to study the dependence of spectral shift of GSM beams on the astigmatism of the lens and spatial coherence of GSM beams both analytically and numerically. A comparison with the aberration-free case is made, and shows that the astigmatism affects the spectral behavior of GSM beams. Based on the extended Huygens–Fresnel principle, the closed-form propagation equation of partially coherent Sinh-Gaussian (ShG) beams through the turbulent atmosphere has been derived by using the quadratic approximation of the Rytov's phase structure function. The influence of turbulence on propagation properties of partially coherent ShG beams and their beam quality in the far field are studied both analytically and numerical. The fully coherent ShG beam has been treated as a special case of the partially coherent ShG beam when the degree of spatial coherence α=∞. It is shown that in comparison with the free-space propagation the turbulence accelerates the evolution of three stages that partially coherent ShG beams undergo. The smaller α is, the less partially coherent ShG beams are affected by the turbulence. In particular, we find that the β parameter decreases as the decentered parameter δ increases, but the dependence of the Strehl ratio on δ is not monotonous. There exists an optimal δopt, the influence of turbulence on the maximum intensity of the corresponding partially coherent ShG beam with δopt is the smallest. Therefore, a suitable choice of δ may reduce the influence of turbulence on the beam quality in the far field in practice.  相似文献

Starting from the propagation law of partially coherent light, the on-axis spectral shifts and spectral switches of Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams focused by an astigmatic aperture lens are studied. It is shown that, as compared with an aberration-free case whose spectral shifts and spectral switches are induced by spatial correlation and aperture diffraction, the spectral shifts and spectral switches of GSM beams also depend upon the astigmatism of the lens for an astigmatism case. Detailed numerical calculations are made to illustrate the behavior of spectral shifts and spectral switches of GSM beams focused by an astigmatic aperture lens.  相似文献

The concept of partially coherent vectorial nonparaxial cosh-Gaussian (ChG) beams is introduced, and their analytical propagation expressions for the cross-spectral density matrix in free space are derived by using the generalized vectorial Rayleigh diffraction integrals. Some interesting cases, in particular, the vectorial nonparaxial Gaussian-Schell-model (GSM) beams are discussed and treated as special cases of our general expressions. It is shown that the f and fσ parameters play a crucial role in determining the vectorial property and nonparaxiality of partially coherent ChG beams, but the decentered parameter additionally affects their behavior.  相似文献

 从广义惠更斯-菲涅耳衍射积分出发对厄米-余弦-高斯光束的传输特性作了研究,给出了厄米-余弦-高斯光束通过近轴ABCD光学系统的解析传输公式,以厄米-余弦-高斯光束通过自由空间和薄透镜系统为例做了数值计算和分析,结果表明厄米-余弦-高斯光束在自由空间传输时不能保持其形状不变。厄米-双曲余弦-高斯光束、余弦-高斯光束、厄米-高斯光束的传输公式可作为厄米-余弦-高斯光束的特例得出。  相似文献
