The purpose of this paper is to present some fixed point results for self-generalized contractions in ordered metric spaces. Our results generalize and extend some recent results of A.C.M. Ran, M.C. As applications, existence and uniqueness results for Fredholm and Volterra type integral equations are given.  相似文献

Recently, Suzuki [T. Suzuki, A generalized Banach contraction principle that characterizes metric completeness, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 136 (2008) 1861-1869] proved a fixed point theorem that is a generalization of the Banach contraction principle and characterizes the metric completeness. In this paper we prove an analogous fixed point result for a self-mapping on a partial metric space or on a partially ordered metric space. Our results on partially ordered metric spaces generalize and extend some recent results of Ran and Reurings [A.C.M. Ran, M.C. Reurings, A fixed point theorem in partially ordered sets and some applications to matrix equations, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 132 (2004) 1435-1443], Nieto and Rodríguez-López [J.J. Nieto, R. Rodríguez-López, Contractive mapping theorems in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Order 22 (2005) 223-239]. We deduce, also, common fixed point results for two self-mappings. Moreover, using our results, we obtain a characterization of partial metric 0-completeness in terms of fixed point theory. This result extends Suzuki?s characterization of metric completeness.  相似文献

In this paper, a concept of monotone generalized contraction in partially ordered probabilistic metric spaces is introduced and some fixed and common fixed point theorems are proved. Presented theorems extend the results in partially ordered metric spaces of Nieto and Rodriguez-Lopez [Contractive mapping theorems in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Order 22 (2005) 223-239; Existence and uniqueness of fixed point in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Acta Math. Sin. (Engl. Ser.) 23 (2007) 2205-2212], Ran and Reurings [A fixed point theorem in partially ordered sets and some applications to matrix equations, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 132 (2004) 1435-1443] to a more general class of contractive type mappings in partially ordered probabilistic metric spaces and include several recent developments.  相似文献

The purpose of this note is to present some fixed point and data dependence theorems in complete gauge spaces and in hyperconvex metric spaces for the so-called Meir-Keeler multivalued operators and admissible multivalued aα-contractions. Our results extend and generalize several theorems of Espínola and Kirk [R. Espínola, W.A. Kirk, Set-valued contractions and fixed points, Nonlinear Anal. 54 (2003) 485-494] and Rus, Petru?el, and Sînt?m?rian [I.A. Rus, A. Petru?el, A. Sînt?m?rian, Data dependence of the fixed point set of some multivalued weakly Picard operators, Nonlinear Anal. 52 (2003) 1947-1959].  相似文献

We establish a geometric lemma giving a list of equivalent conditions for some subsets of the plane. As its application, we get that various contractive conditions using the so-called altering distance functions coincide with classical ones. We consider several classes of mappings both on metric spaces and ordered metric spaces. In particular, we show that unexpectedly, some very recent fixed point theorems for generalized contractions on ordered metric spaces obtained by Harjani and Sadarangani [J. Harjani, K. Sadarangani, Generalized contractions in partially ordered metric spaces and applications to ordinary differential equations, Nonlinear Anal. 72 (2010) 1188-1197], and Amini-Harandi and Emami [A. Amini-Harandi, H. Emami A fixed point theorem for contraction type maps in partially ordered metric spaces and application to ordinary differential equations, Nonlinear Anal. 72 (2010) 2238-2242] do follow from an earlier result of O’Regan and Petru?el [D. O’Regan and A. Petru?el, Fixed point theorems for generalized contractions in ordered metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 341 (2008) 1241-1252].  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to propose a modified block iterative algorithm for find a common element of the set of common fixed points of an infinite family of quasi-?-asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and the set of an equilibrium problem. Under suitable conditions, some strong convergence theorems are established in a uniformly smooth and strictly convex Banach space with the Kadec-Klee property. As an application, at the end of the paper a numerical example is given. The results presented in the paper improve and extend the corresponding results in Qin et al. S. Hu and Y. Sun [S. Hu, Y. Sun, Fixed point index for weakly inward mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 172 (1993) 266-273] defined the fixed point index for weakly inward mappings, investigated its properties and studied the fixed points for such mappings. In this paper, following S. Hu and Y. Sun, we continue to investigate boundary conditions, under which the fixed point index for the completely continuous and weakly inward mapping, denoted by i(A,Ω,P), is equal to 1 or 0. Correspondingly, we can obtain some new fixed point theorems of the completely continuous and weakly inward mappings and existence theorems of solutions for the equations Ax=μx, which extend many famous theorems such as Leray-Schauder's theorem, Rothe's two theorems, Krasnoselskii's theorem, Altman's theorem, Petryshyn's theorem, etc., to the case of weakly inward mappings. In addition, our conclusions and methods are different from the ones in many recent works.  相似文献

The purpose of this article is to prove some approximation theorems of common fixed points for countable families of total quasi-?-asymptotically nonexpansive mappings which contain several kinds of mappings as its special cases in Banach spaces. In order to get the approximation theorems, the hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. Using this result, we also discuss the problem of strong convergence concerning the maximal monotone operators in a Banach space. The results of this article extend and improve the results of Matsushita and Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem by the hybrid method for a family of nonexpansive mappings which generalizes Nakajo and Takahashi's theorems [K. Nakajo, W. Takahashi, Strong convergence theorems for nonexpansive mappings and nonexpansive semigroups, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 279 (2003) 372-379], simultaneously. Furthermore, we obtain another strong convergence theorem for the family of nonexpansive mappings by a hybrid method which is different from Nakajo and Takahashi. Using this theorem, we get some new results for a single nonexpansive mapping or a family of nonexpansive mappings in a Hilbert space.  相似文献

Jungck's [G. Jungck, Compatible mappings and common fixed points, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 9 (1986) 771-779] notion of compatible mappings is further extended and used to prove some common fixed point theorems for weakly compatible non-self mappings in complete convex metric spaces. We improve on the method of proof used by Rhoades [B.E. Rhoades, A fixed point theorem for non-self set-valued mappings, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 20 (1997) 9-12] and Ahmed and Rhoades [A. Ahmed, B.E. Rhoades, Some common fixed point theorems for compatible mappings, Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 32 (2001) 1247-1254] and obtain generalization of some known results. In particular, a theorem by Rhoades [B.E. Rhoades, A fixed point theorem for non-self set-valued mappings, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 20 (1997) 9-12] is generalized and improved.  相似文献

We prove a common fixed point theorem of Gregus type for four mappings satisfying a generalized contractive condition in metric spaces using the concept of weak compatibility which generalizes theorems of [I. We prove also a common fixed point theorem which generalizes Theorem 3.5 of [H.K. Pathak, M.S. Khan, T. Rakesh, A common fixed point theorem and its application to nonlinear integral equations, Comput. Math. Appl. 53 (2007) 961-971] and common fixed point theorems of Gregus type using a strict generalized contractive condition, a property (E.A) and a common property (E.A).  相似文献

A new condition for mappings, called condition (C), which is more general than nonexpansiveness, was recently introduced by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. Following the idea of Kirk and Massa Theorem in [W.A. Kirk, S. Massa, Remarks on asymptotic and Chebyshev centers, Houston J. Math. 16 (1990) 364-375], we prove a fixed point theorem for mappings with condition (C) on a Banach space such that its asymptotic center in a bounded closed and convex subset of each bounded sequence is nonempty and compact. This covers a result obtained by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. We also present fixed point theorems for this class of mappings defined on weakly compact convex subsets of Banach spaces satisfying property (D). Consequently, we extend the results in [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095] to many other Banach spaces.  相似文献

Let (X,d) be a metric space of hyperbolic type and K a nonempty closed subset of X. In this paper we study a class of mappings from K into X (not necessarily self-mappings on K), which are defined by the contractive condition (2.1) below, and a class of pairs of mappings from K into X which satisfy the condition (2.28) below. We present fixed point and common fixed point theorems which are generalizations of the corresponding fixed point theorems of ?iri? [L.B. ?iri?, Quasi-contraction non-self mappings on Banach spaces, Bull. Acad. Serbe Sci. Arts 23 (1998) 25-31; L.B. ?iri?, J.S. Ume, M.S. Khan, H.K.T. Pathak, On some non-self mappings, Math. Nachr. 251 (2003) 28-33], Rhoades [B.E. Rhoades, A fixed point theorem for some non-self mappings, Math. Japon. 23 (1978) 457-459] and many other authors. Some examples are presented to show that our results are genuine generalizations of known results from this area.  相似文献

Recently, Agarwal, Cho, Li and Huang [R.P. Agarwal, Y.J. Cho, J. Li, N.J. Huang, Stability of iterative procedures with errors approximating common fixed points for a couple of quasi-contractive mappings in q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 272 (2002) 435-447] introduced the new iterative procedures with errors for approximating the common fixed point of a couple of quasi-contractive mappings and showed the stability of these iterative procedures with errors in Banach spaces. In this paper, we introduce a new concept of a couple of q-contractive-like mappings (q>1) in a Banach space and apply these iterative procedures with errors for approximating the common fixed point of the couple of q-contractive-like mappings. The results established in this paper improve, extend and unify the corresponding ones of Agarwal, Cho, Li and Huang [R.P. Agarwal, Y.J. Cho, J. Li, N.J. Generalizing duality theorem of V.V. Fedorchuk [V.V. Fedorchuk, Boolean δ-algebras and quasi-open mappings, Sibirsk. Mat. Zh. 14 (5) (1973) 1088-1099; English translation: Siberian Math. J. 14 (1973) 759-767 (1974)], we prove Stone-type duality theorems for the following four categories: the objects of all of them are the locally compact Hausdorff spaces, and their morphisms are, respectively, the continuous skeletal maps, the quasi-open perfect maps, the open maps, the open perfect maps. In particular, a Stone-type duality theorem for the category of compact Hausdorff spaces and open maps is obtained. Some equivalence theorems for these four categories are stated as well; two of them generalize the Fedorchuk equivalence theorem [V.V. Fedorchuk, Boolean δ-algebras and quasi-open mappings, Sibirsk. This paper is concerned with convergence of an approximating common fixed point sequence of countable Lipschitzian mappings in a uniformly convex Banach space. We also establish weak convergence theorems for finding a common element of the set of fixed points, the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem, and the set of solutions of a variational inequality. With an appropriate setting, we obtain and improve the corresponding results recently proved by Moudafi [A. Moudafi, Weak convergence theorems for nonexpansive mappings and equilibrium problems. J. Nonlinear Convex Anal. 9 (2008) 37–43], Tada–Takahashi [A. Tada and W. Takahashi, Weak and strong convergence theorems for a nonexpansive mapping and an equilibrium problem. J. Optim.
