The structures of NaRu2O4 and Na2.7Ru4O9 are refined using neutron diffraction. NaRu2O4 is a stoichiometric compound consisting of double chains of edge sharing RuO6 octahedra. Na2.7Ru4O9 is a non-stoichiometric compound with partial occupancy of the Na sublattice. The structure is a mixture of single, double and triple chains of edge-shared RuO6 octahedra. NaRu2O4 displays temperature independent paramagnetism with . Na2.7Ru4O9 is paramagnetic, χ0= with and a Curie constant of 0.0119 emu/mol Oe K. Specific heat measurements reveal a small upturn at low temperatures, similar to the upturn observed in La4Ru6O19. The electronic contribution to the specific heat (γ) for Na2.7Ru4O9 was determined to be15 mJ/moleRu K2.  相似文献

The compound previously reported as Ba2Ti2B2O9 has been reformulated as Ba3Ti3B2O12, or Ba3Ti3O6(BO3)2, a new barium titanium oxoborate. Small single crystals have been recovered from a melt with a composition of BaTiO3:BaTiB2O6 (molar ratio) cooled between 1100°C and 850°C. The crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction: hexagonal system, non-centrosymmetric space group, a=8.7377(11) Å, c=3.9147(8) Å, Z=1, wR(F2)=0.039 for 504 unique reflections. Ba3Ti3O6(BO3)2 is isostructural with K3Ta3O6(BO3)2. Preliminary measurements of nonlinear optical properties on microcrystalline samples show that the second harmonic generation efficiency of Ba3Ti3O6(BO3)2 is equal to 95% of that of LiNbO3.  相似文献

The anion-excess ordered fluorite-related phase Ba4Bi3F17 has been synthesized by a solid state reaction of BaF2 and BiF3 at 873 K. The crystal structure of Ba4Bi3F17 has been studied using electron diffraction and X-ray powder diffraction (a=11.2300(2) Å, c=20.7766(5) Å, S.G. , RI=0.020, RP=0.036). Interstitial fluorine atoms in the Ba4Bi3F17 structure are considered to form isolated cuboctahedral 8 : 12 : 1 clusters. The structural relationship between Ba4Bi3F17 and similar rare-earth-based phases is discussed.  相似文献

A new borate, LiNaB4O7, has been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray structure determination. The material crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, noncentrosymmetric space group Fdd2, with unit cell dimensions a=13.325(2), b=14.099(2), c=10.243(2) Å, Z=16, and V=1924.3(7) Å3. Like Li2B4O7, the structure is built of two symmetrically independent, interpenetrating polyanionic frameworks built from condensation of the B4O9 fundamental building block, which is comprised of two distorted BO4 tetrahedra and two BO3 triangles. The interpenetrating frameworks produce distinct tunnels that are selectively occupied by the Li and Na atoms. Large single crystals exhibiting an optical absorption edge with λ<180 nm have been grown via the top-seeded-solution-growth method. The SHG signal (0.15× potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP)) is consistent with the calculated components of the SHG tensor and the approximate centrosymmetric disposition of the independent and interpenetrating frameworks. A complete analysis of polarized IR and Raman spectra confirms a close relationship between the title compound and Li2B4O7.  相似文献

A new oxide, Bi14Sr21Fe12O61, with a layered structure derived from the 2212 modulated type structure Bi2Sr3Fe2O9, was isolated. It crystallizes in the I2 space group, with the following parameters: a=16.58(3) Å, b=5.496(1) Å, c=35.27(2) Å and β=90.62°. The single crystal X-ray structure determination, coupled with electron microscopy, shows that this ferrite is the m=5 member of the [Bi2Sr3Fe2O9]m[Bi4Sr6Fe2O16] collapsed family. This new collapsed structure can be described as slices of 2212 structure of five bismuth polyhedra thick along , shifted with respect to each other and interconnected by means of [Bi4Sr6Fe2O16] slices. The latter are the place of numerous defects like iron or strontium for bismuth substitution; they can be correlated to intergrowth defects with other members of the family.  相似文献

Single crystals of K3RESi2O7 (RE=Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu) were grown from a potassium fluoride flux. Two different structure types were found for this series. Silicates containing the larger rare earths, RE=Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb crystallize in a structure K3RESi2O7 that contains the rare-earth cation in both a slightly distorted octahedral and an ideal trigonal prismatic coordination environment, while in K3LuSi2O7, containing the smallest of the rare earths, lutetium is found solely in an octahedral coordination environment. The structure of K3LuSi2O7 crystallizes in space group P63/mmc with a=5.71160(10) Å and c=13.8883(6) Å. The structures containing the remaining rare earths crystallize in the space group P63/mcm with the lattice parameters of a=9.9359(2) Å, c=14.4295(4) Å, (K3GdSi2O7); a=9.88730(10) Å, c=14.3856(3) Å, (K3TbSi2O7); a=9.8673(2) Å, c=14.3572(4) Å, (K3DySi2O7); a=9.8408(3) Å, c=14.3206(6) Å, (K3HoSi2O7); a=9.82120(10) Å, c=14.2986(2) Å, (K3ErSi2O7); a=9.80200(10) Å, c=14.2863(4) Å, (K3TmSi2O7); a=9.78190(10) Å, c=14.2401(3) Å, (K3YbSi2O7). The optical properties of the silicates were investigated and K3TbSi2O7 was found to fluoresce in the visible.  相似文献

The two new compounds, Sr4Cu3(AsO4)2(AsO3OH)4·3H2O (1) and Ba2Cu4(AsO4)2(AsO3OH)3(2), were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. They represent previously unknown structure types and are the first compounds synthesized in the systems SrO/BaO-CuO-As2O5-H2O. Their crystal structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction [space group C2/c, a=18.536(4) Å, b=5.179(1) Å, c=24.898(5) Å, β=93.67(3)°, V=2344.0(8) Å3, Z=4 for 1; space group P42/n, a=7.775(1) Å, c=13.698(3) Å, V=828.1(2) Å3, Z=2 for 2]. The crystal structure of 1 is related to a group of compounds formed by Cu2+-(XO4)3− layers (X=P5+, As5+) linked by M cations (M=alkali, alkaline earth, Pb2+, or Ag+) and partly by hydrogen bonds. In 1, worth mentioning is the very short hydrogen bond length, D···A=2.477(3) Å. It is one of the examples of extremely short hydrogen bonds, where the donor and acceptor are crystallographically different. Compound 2 represents a layered structure consisting of Cu2O8 centrosymmetric dimers crosslinked by As1φ4 tetrahedra, where φ is O or OH, which are interconnected by Ba, As2 and hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional network. The layers are formed by Cu2O8 centrosymmetric dimers of CuO5 edge-sharing polyhedra, crosslinked by As1O4 tetrahedra. Vibrational spectra (FTIR and Raman) of both compounds are described. The spectroscopic manifestation of the very short hydrogen bond in 1, and ABC-like spectra in 2 were discussed.  相似文献

Two novel noncentrosymmetric borates oxides, MBi2B2O7 or MBi2O(BO3)2 (MCa, Sr), have been synthesized by solid-state reactions in air at temperatures in the 600-700 °C range. Their crystal structures have been determined ab initio and refined using powder neutron diffraction data. CaBi2B2O7 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pna21 space group with a=8.9371(5) Å, b=5.4771(3) Å, c=12.5912(7) Å, Z=4, Rwp=0.118, χ2=2.30. SrBi2B2O7 crystallizes in the hexagonal P63 space group with a=9.1404(4) Å, c=13.0808(6) Å, Z=6, Rwp=0.115, χ2=4.15. Large displacement parameters suggest the presence of disorder in SrBi2B2O7 as also revealed by diffuse 2×a superstructure reflections in electron diffraction patterns. Both structures are built of identical (001) neutral layers of corner-sharing BO3 triangles and MO6 trigonal prisms forming six-membered rings in which Bi2O groups are located. Adjacent layers are stacked in a staggered configuration and connected through weak Bi-O bonds. A moderate efficiency for second harmonic generation (SHG) has been measured for a powder sample of CaBi2B2O7 (deff=2deff(KDP)).  相似文献

The calcium cobalt oxide CaCo2O4 was synthesized for the first time and characterized from a powder X-ray diffraction study, measuring magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, electrical resistivity, and thermoelectric power. CaCo2O4 crystallizes in the CaFe2O4 (calcium ferrite)-type structure, consisting of an edge- and corner-shared CoO6 octahedral network. The structure of CaCo2O4 belongs to an orthorhombic system (space group: Pnma) with lattice parameters, a=8.789(2) Å, b=2.9006(7) Å and c=10.282(3) Å. Curie-Weiss-like behavior in magnetic susceptibility with the nearly trivalent cobalt low-spin state (Co3+, 3d, S=0), semiconductor-like temperature dependence of resistivity (ρ=3×10−1 Ω cm at 380 K) with dominant hopping conduction at low temperature, metallic-temperature-dependent large thermoelectric power (Seebeck coefficient: S=+147 μV/K at 380 K), and Schottky-type specific heat with a small Sommerfeld constant (γ=4.48(7) mJ/Co mol K2), were observed. These results suggest that the compound possesses a metallic electronic state with a small density of states at the Fermi level. The doped holes are localized at low temperatures due to disorder in the crystal. The carriers probably originate from slight off-stoichiometry of the phase. It was also found that S tends to increase even more beyond 380 K. The large S is possibly attributed to residual spin entropy and orbital degeneracy coupled with charges by strong electron correlation in the cobalt oxides.  相似文献

In the system BaF2/BF3/PF5/anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (aHF) a compound Ba(BF4)(PF6) was isolated and characterized by Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction on the single crystal. Ba(BF4)(PF6) crystallizes in a hexagonal space group with a=10.2251(4) Å, c=6.1535(4) Å, V=557.17(5) Å3 at 200 K, and Z=3. Both crystallographically independent Ba atoms possess coordination polyhedra in the shape of tri-capped trigonal prisms, which include F atoms from BF4 and PF6 anions. In the analogous system with AsF5 instead of PF5 the compound Ba(BF4)(AsF6) was isolated and characterized. It crystallizes in an orthorhombic Pnma space group with a=10.415(2) Å, b=6.325(3) Å, c=11.8297(17) Å, V=779.3(4) Å3 at 200 K, and Z=4. The coordination around Ba atom is in the shape of slightly distorted tri-capped trigonal prism which includes five F atoms from AsF6 and four F atoms from BF4 anions. When the system BaF2/BF3/AsF5/aHF is made basic with an extra addition of BaF2, the compound Ba2(BF4)2(AsF6)(H3F4) was obtained. It crystallizes in a hexagonal P63/mmc space group with a=6.8709(9) Å, c=17.327(8) Å, V=708.4(4) Å3 at 200 K, and Z=2. The barium environment in the shape of tetra-capped distorted trigonal prism involves 10 F atoms from four BF4, three AsF6 and three H3F4 anions. All F atoms, except the central atom in H3F4 moiety, act as μ2-bridges yielding a complex 3-D structural network.  相似文献

A new ternary borate oxide, K3CdB5O10, has been synthesized by solid-state reaction at 580 °C. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with a=7.6707 (7) Å, b=19.1765 (17) Å, c=7.8784 (6) Å, β=115.6083 (49)°, and Z=4. The crystal structure consists of a two-dimensional infinite [CdB5O10] layer, which forms by connecting isolated double ring [B5O10] groups and CdO4 tetrahedra. K atoms filling in the interlayer and intralayer link the layers together and balance charge. The IR spectrum has been studied and confirmed the presence of both BO3 and BO4 groups, and the UV-vis-IR diffuse reflectance spectrum exhibits a band gap of about 3.4 eV. The DSC analysis proves that K3CdB5O10 is a congruent melting compound.  相似文献

The ternary compound Ba2Cd3Bi4 crystallizes in the C-centered orthorhombic space group Cmce (No. 64) with its own type (Pearson's symbol oC36; a=7.019(3) Å, b=17.389(7) Å and c=9.246(3) Å determined at -23 °C). Although the structure of this intermetallic compound with transition metal in d10 configuration has already been established, details such as the rather unusual coordination of the Cd-atoms and the elongation in specific direction of their anisotropic displacement parameters had not been explained. These facts, along with the higher than 12% R-values from the original structure determination prompted the systematic structural studies by single-crystal X-ray diffraction at several different temperatures. The results from these studies confirm strong temperature dependence of the cadmiums’ anisotropic displacement parameters, concomitant rather large thermal expansion along the crystallographic b-axis. Electronic band structure calculations performed by the TB-LMTO-ASA method are also reported.  相似文献

The ternary nitrides, Ca4TiN4 and Ca5NbN5, were synthesized in sealed niobium tubes using lithium nitride as a flux at 900 and 1050 °C, respectively. The structures of both compounds were solved from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. Ca4TiN4 is the first example of a calcium group IV nitride; it crystallizes in the triclinic space group (No. 2) with cell parameters a=5.9757(5) Å, b=6.0129(5) Å, c=6.0116(12) Å, α=71.565(4)°, β=79.471(4)°, γ=68.258(4)° and Z=2. Ca4TiN4 is isostructural with Na4TiO4 and contains tetrahedral TiN4 units connected through edges and corners to CaN4 tetrahedra and CaN5 square pyramids. Ca5NbN5 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/m (No. 12) with cell parameters a=11.922(7) Å, b=6.878(5) Å, c=8.936(7) Å, β=101.22(3)° and Z=4. Ca5NbN5 is isostructural with Ba5NbN5; the structure contains NbN4 tetrahedra that share vertices with CaN5 trigonal bipyramids.  相似文献

Ba3MgSi2O8, a phosphor host examined for use in white-light devices and plant-growth lamps, was synthesized at 1225 °C in air. Its crystal structure has been determined and refined by a combined powder X-ray and neutron Rietveld method (, Z=3, a=9.72411(3) Å, c=7.27647(3) Å, V=595.870(5) Å3; Rp/Rwp=3.79%/5.03%, χ2=4.20). Superstructure reflections, observed only in the neutron diffraction data, provided the means to establish the true unit cell and a chemically reasonable structure. The structure contains three crystallographically distinct Ba atoms—Ba1 resides in a distorted octahedral site with S6 () symmetry, Ba2 in a nine-coordinate site with C3 (3) symmetry, and Ba3 in a ten-coordinate site with C1 (1) symmetry. The Mg atoms occupy distorted octahedral sites, and the Si atom occupies a distorted tetrahedral site.  相似文献

A new compound, Li4CaB2O6, has been synthesized by solid-state reaction and its structure has been determined from powder X-ray diffraction data by direct methods. The refinement was carried out using the Rietveld methods and the final refinement converged with Rp=10.4%, Rwp=14.2%, Rexp=4.97%. This compound belongs to the orthorhombic space group Pnnm, with lattice parameters a=9.24036(9) Å, b=8.09482(7) Å, and c=3.48162(4) Å. Fundamental building units are isolated [BO3]3− anionic groups, which are all parallel to the a-b plane stacked along the c-axis. The Ca atoms are six-coordinated by the O atoms to form octahedral coordination polyhedra, which are joined together through edges along the c-axis, forming infinitely long three-dimensional chains. The Li atoms have a four-fold and a five-fold coordination with O atoms that lead to complex Li-O-Li chains that also extend along the c-axis. The infrared spectrum of Li4CaB2O6 was also studied, which is consistent with the crystallographic study.  相似文献

A novel sodium lead pentaborate, NaPbB5O9, has been successfully synthesized by standard solid-state reaction. The single-crystal X-ray structural analysis showed that NaPbB5O9 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a=6.5324(10) Å, b=13.0234(2) Å, c=8.5838(10) Å, β=104.971(10)°, and Z=4. The crystal structure is composed of double ring [B5O9]3− units, [PbO7] and [NaO7] polyhedra. [B5O9]3− groups connect with each other forming two-dimensional infinite [B5O9]3− layers, while [PbO7] and [NaO7] polyhedra are located between the layers. [PbO7] polyhedra linked together via corner-sharing O atom forming novel infinite [PbO6] chains along the c axis. The thermal behavior, IR spectrum and the optical diffuse reflectance spectrum of NaPbB5O9 were reported.  相似文献

High-resolution neutron and synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction experiments were performed, at 300 and 10 K, for the determination of the structure of YBaCo4O8.1, which was prepared by controlled oxidation of the Kagomé lattice compound YBaCo4O7. Our diffraction data demonstrate that YBaCo4O8.1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbc21 space group with the formation of a large superstructure (a=12.790 Å, b=10.845 Å, c=10.149 Å), with respect to the parent trigonal YBaCo4O7 material. The Co ions occupy both corner-sharing tetrahedral and edge-sharing octahedral sites, in contrast to YBaCo4O7, which has only corner-sharing tetrahedra. The octahedral sites form by the addition of two extra oxygen atoms and the drastic displacements of some of the original O atoms relative to the parent. The edge-sharing octahedra form isolated zigzag chains parallel to the c-axis linked to one another via tetrahedra. While found in a few phosphates, silicates and germanates, this motif appears unique to YBaCo4O8.1 among mixed-metal oxides. No structural phase transition or long range antiferromagnetic ordering are observed at 10 K.  相似文献

A new 1,6-hexyldiamine heptaborate, [H3N(CH2)6NH3][B7O10(OH)3] (1), has been solvothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, FTIR, elemental analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis. Compound 1 crystallizes in monoclinic system, space group P21/n with a=8.042(2) Å, b=20.004(4) Å, c=10.103(2) Å, and β=90.42(3)°. The anionic [B7O10(OH)3]n2n layers are interlinked via hydrogen bonding to form a 3D supramolecular network containing large channels, in which the templated [H3N(CH2)6NH3]2+ cations are located.  相似文献

The crystal structure of new compound Ba3BPO7 was determined by ab initio method from high-resolution conventional X-ray powder diffraction data. The Rietveld refinement converged to Rp=5.92%, Rwp=8.87%, Rexp=5.00% with the following details: Hexagonal, space group P63mc, a=5.4898 (1) Å, c=14.7551(1) Å, Z=2. The basic unit of the structure is the [BaO10]-[BO3]-[PO4] polar polyhedra-chain composed of Ba1-B-P-O cluster. These chains, running along c-axis, stack in a HCP mode to build the whole structure with triangular prism channels. The channels are parallel to c-axis too, in which Ba2 and Ba3 are located.  相似文献

Single crystals of Ca3CuRhO6, Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6 and Ca3FeRhO6 were synthesized by high temperature flux growth in molten K2CO3 and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. While Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6 and Ca3FeRhO6 crystallize with trigonal (rhombohedral) symmetry in the space group , Z=6: Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6a=9.161(1) Å, c=10.601(2) Å; Ca3FeRhO6a=9.1884(3) Å, c=10.7750(4) Å; Ca3CuRhO6 adopts a monoclinic distortion of the K4CdCl6 structure in the space group C2/c, Z=4: a=9.004(2) Å, b=9.218(2) Å, c=6.453(1) Å, β=91.672(5). All crystals of Ca3CuRhO6 examined were twinned by pseudo-merohedry. Ca3CuRhO6, Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6, and Ca3FeRhO6 are structurally related and contain infinite one-dimensional chains of alternating face-sharing RhO6 octahedra and MO6 trigonal prisms. In the monoclinic modification, the copper atoms are displaced from the center of the trigonal prism toward one of the rectangular faces adopting a pseudo-square planar configuration. The magnetic properties of Ca3CuRhO6, Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6, and Ca3FeRhO6 are discussed.  相似文献
