The filtering properties for a narrowband reflection-and-transmission filter in an annular defective photonic crystal containing an ultrathin and strongly lossy metallic film are theoretically investigated based on the transfer matrix method for the cylindrical Bragg waves. At a certain design wavelength, simultaneous peaks in reflectance and transmittance can be found. The peak wavelength is shown to be dependent on the azimuthal mode number of the cylindrical waves. The peak heights in reflectance and transmittance can be directly varied by the stack numbers. In addition, the influence of the starting radius in reflectance and transmittance is also illustrated.  相似文献

Based on the transfer matrix method (TMM), the interaction of electromagnetic waves with one-dimensional (1D) defective photonic crystal in ultraviolet (UV) frequency region had been studied. With the calculated transmittance characteristics in the wavelength domain, it can be found that the defect mode can be generated within the photonic band gap (PBG) at the central wavelength. Also the effects of many parameters such as the angle of incidence, the state of polarization and the defect layer thickness have been taken in account. A significant effect in generating multiple defect peaks within the PBG has been illustrated.  相似文献

光子晶体波导分束器是集成光学电路的重要组成元件。设计一种线缺陷1×4光子晶体分束器,用时域有限差分法研究其特性。实验结果表明:输出端的透射传输特性随入射光的波长和分支的几何形状有关,并且入射波分别相等地流入4个输出端口。为了减少1×4分束器在3个Y型分支区的反射,通过调节分支区的可调介质柱的半径R,可使每个输出端口输出较高的透射率。  相似文献

将二维三角晶格光子晶体波导和微腔结构结合,优化设计了一种二维三角晶格光子晶体共振耦合腔波导,运用时域有限差分法(FDTD)模拟共振耦合腔波导TE偏振光的透射谱,通过透射谱得到传输光的透射率和群速度。结果表明,合适参数的二维三角晶格共振耦合腔波导在波长1.551μm处的群速度为c/130、透射率为20.1%,在波长1.502μm处的群速度为c/50、透射率为29.2%。运用平面波展开法(PWE)计算的该波导的能带结构对慢光特性进行了分析。这种慢光特性的光子晶体波导将在光存储、光延迟及光子集成等方面有潜在的应用价值。  相似文献

用传输矩阵法研究一维光子晶体G(AB)mC(AB)mH的能带特性及电场分布,结果发现:随着m的增大,在830—883nm波长范围内,光子晶体G(AB)mC(AB)mH禁带中的导带透射率逐渐趋于零,即光被禁止通过,实现全反射镜功能,且随着入射角的增大,光子晶体的禁带逐渐向短波方向移动。随着介质层G、H的折射率增大,光子晶体在833.6—879.1nm波长范围内出现大的禁带,亦实现全反射镜功能。光子晶体G(AB)5C(AB)5H内部存在很强的局域电场,即在光子晶体内传输的光,被强烈局域在禁带范围内,并在缺陷层C处达到极大值,而且随着m的增大,局域强度增强。这些光学传输特性,为研究、设计新型光学器件全反射镜、滤波器等提供指导。  相似文献

基于光子晶体光纤中脉冲演化遵循的非线性薛定谔方程, 用数值模拟的方法分别研究了飞秒脉冲在单零色散点和双零色散点光子晶体光纤中超连续谱的产生和色散波的孤子俘获现象. 结果表明: 与单零色散点光子晶体光纤相比, 双零色散点光子晶体光纤产生的超连续谱既包含了蓝移色散波, 又包含了红移色散波, 且当满足群速度匹配时, 孤子通过四波混频不仅能俘获蓝移色散波, 而且能俘获红移色散波, 从而产生新的俘获波频谱成分. 为了清楚地观察脉冲传输的时频特性, 通过模拟交叉相关频率分辨光学开关技术, 得到了孤子俘获色散波的演化过程. 关键词: 超连续谱 色散波 孤子俘获 光子晶体光纤  相似文献

An elliptical air-hole golden spiral photonic crystal fiber (EGS-PCF) is analyzed with the full-vectorial finite element method. The air-holes in the EGS-PCF are arranged in a spiral pattern governed by the Golden Ratio, where the design has been inspired by the optimal arrangement of seeds found in nature. The EGS-PCF exhibits extremely high birefringence (~0.022 at operating wavelength 1550 nm) which is particularly useful for generating a polarization stable supercontinuum (SC). The fiber can also be designed to have a Zero Dispersion Wavelength (ZDW) at a suitable wavelength for only one polarization and large negative dispersion for the other, leading to a single-polarization SC. In addition, the fiber dispersion can be designed to obtain ZDWs at 800 nm and 1064 nm simultaneously, which can facilitate broadband supercontinuum generation (SCG) through multi-wavelength pumping.  相似文献

A ternary photonic crystal with left-handed material (LHM) layer is examined for refractometric applications. One of the layers is assumed to be air and treated as an analyte. The transmittance from the ternary photonic crystal is studied in details and the wavelength shift due to the change in the refractive index of the analyte is investigated. The transmittance is investigated with the parameters of the LHM. It is found that the wavelength shift can be significantly enhanced with the decrease of both real part of the LHM permittivity and thickness.  相似文献

将两光子晶体单模波导平行、邻近放置构成一个光子晶体波导耦合结构.根据耦合和解耦合理论,设计了一种新型的高效异质结构四波长波分复用器.应用时域有限差分法模拟了该器件的效率,并通过改变一排介质柱的折射率,实现了较高的透射率.进一步发现在入射口处添加三对介质柱,可以有效地降低系统的反射,实现了四个波长的高效传输,四个波长的透射率均超过了90%.该器件不仅具有较高的透射率,而且其尺寸仅为36 μm×17 μm,在未来的光子集成回路中具有潜在的应用价值. 关键词: 光子晶体波导 耦合 异质结构 波分复用  相似文献

利用传输矩阵法设计了由SiO2、TiO2组成的多层膜高透射率光子晶体结构,并分析了其透射谱特性,根据等效层原理改变多层膜一维光子晶体的自身结构来提高通带内特征波长附近的透射率,获得了最佳结构参数。研究结果表明,当晶格参数为150nm,填充比为0.346,周期数为6时,400nm波长附近吸收带处的透射率最低也可达96.5%,并且不论是TM模式还是TE模式,入射角在0°~45°范围内仍保持高的透射率,该结构可望用于空气净化装置以提高SiO2、TiO2光催化剂的光催化效率。  相似文献

In this paper, photonic crystal ring resonators with hexagonal lattice structure are used to design a four-channel optical demultiplexer. The structure size, the average transfer coefficient, the quality factor, and the channel spacing are equal to 424.5 µm2, 95.8%, 1943, and 2 nm, respectively. The average crosstalk is also computed to be ?18.11 dB. In this study, the plane wave expansion (PWE) and finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) methods are used, respectively, to characterize the photonic bandgap and to investigate the optical behavior of the structure. The proposed design can be used in dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems.  相似文献

The novel offset core photonic crystal fiber filter is designed and analyzed, whose dispersion relations and polarization characteristics are simulated by finite element method using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The filter structure is optimized by changing diameter of air holes and the thickness of Au layer. Simulation results show that loss of y-polarized mode reaches 657 dB/cm while the loss of x-polarized mode is very low at the communication window (\(1.55\,\upmu \hbox {m}\)). The crosstalk of filter reaches 56.2 dB at \(1.55\,\upmu \hbox {m}\) wavelength and the 20 dB band width of the filter is 100 nm when the propagation distance is \(1\,\upmu \hbox {m}\). Not only the filter shows good performance but also the proposed photonic crystal fiber can be applied to other fields.  相似文献

在二维三角光子晶体环形腔的周围增加六个散射介质柱,构成一个新的环形腔结构,该结构使光波的透射率达到90%,带宽也比较小。通过改变光子晶体介质柱的折射率,使环形腔的选择波长不断改变,能够明显地区分出两个不同波长,且分波波长在通信波长范围之内。将不同折射材料的光子晶体连接在一起,构成一种新的光子晶体波分复用器,相比同种材料,它具有高效率,多波长选择的优点。利用这种异质结构可以构建一个多波长的波分复用结构,它也为制作多通道波分复用器奠定了基础。  相似文献

通过多重散射方法数值模拟研究和实验测量表明利用二维光子晶体可以提高波的耦合效率.研究发现,高的波耦合效率通常发生在光子禁带的边沿和其它非禁带区的某些频率处.当光子晶体的晶格常数接近于所传输的波的波长时,会出现很高耦合效率的共振耦合现象.利用二维光子晶体的情况下的波耦合效率最高可以达到不利用二维光子晶体时的1.89倍.这种现象在光集成器件中尤其有用.  相似文献

A novel polarization filter based on plasmonic photonic crystal fiber with Au-coated and liquid-filled air holes is presented in this paper. The coupling theory is introduced to explain the complete coupling and incomplete coupling. We can adjust the resonance point to the communication band by optimizing the parameters of the fiber structure. Numerical simulation results demonstrate that the resonance strength can reach 489.78 dB cm\(^{-1}\) at the communication wavelength of 1.55 um in x-polarized direction. By filling liquid analyte the confinement loss can reach 572.55 dB cm\(^{-1}\) at the wavelength of 1.55 um. When the fiber length of L equals to 800 um, the peak value of the crosstalk can reach 394.75 dB at the wavelength of 1.55 um, and the bandwidth of the crosstalk better than 20 dB is up to 180 nm when the length of the fiber L is 200 um. These features make it a promising candidate for designing new types of polarization filter devices.  相似文献

The present study develops and investigates for the first time a unique spatial continuously tunable cone laser based on a dye-doped cholesteric liquid crystal (DDCLC) film with an LC-birefringence (Δn) gradient. A continuous Δn variation can be generated in a cell by diffusion and self-organization of CLC after four DDCLC mixtures with a discrete variation of Δn are successively injected into an empty cell. Not only the CLC photonic structure but also the lasing wavelength and the cone angle of the obtained conically symmetric emitted lasing ring can be tuned continuously by continuously changing the pumped position of the cell with an Δn gradient. The continuous tunabilities in the lasing wavelength and the corresponding emitted cone angle of the lasing ring are 605.8 → 568.1 nm and 29° → 50°, respectively, within a spatial interval of about 33 mm in the cell.  相似文献

The article describes a novel doped CS2 core photonic crystal fiber with high negative chromatic dispersion. The proposed design is simulated through a full-vector finite element method and anisotropic perfectly matched layers. The numerical results show that we can achieve a negative dispersion coefficient of ?5600 ps/(nm km) almost at the wavelength of 1.55 μm by carefully adjusting the proposed PCF structure parameters. The proposed PCF may have great potential applications in dispersion compensating, optical parametric amplification, and optical fiber communication.  相似文献

To our knowledge, efficient generation of broadband four-wave mixing cascades centered at 1 μm and spanning 600 nm is experimentally demonstrated for the first time. This frequency comb is generated from a two-tone seed with a maximum peak power of 25 W in a low-dispersion photonic crystal fiber. It consists of up to 44 new idler waves generated symmetrically around the seed.  相似文献

Partial bandgap characteristics of parallelogram lattice photonic crystals are proposed to suppress the radiation modes in a compact dielectric waveguide taper so as to obtain high transmittance in a large wavelength range. Band structure of the photonic crystals shows that there exists a partial bandgap, The photonie crystals with partial bandgap are then used as the cladding of a waveguide taper to reduce the radiation loss efficiently. In comparison with the conventional dielectric taper and the complete bandgap photonic crystal taper, the partial bandgap photonic crystal taper has a high transmittance of above 85% with a wide band of 170 nm.  相似文献

通过平面波展开法对由Al2O3介质棒在空气背景介质中构成含有点缺陷的二维正方光子晶体微腔结构进行研究,计算得出缺陷态能带以及缺陷态模场分布。缺陷模对应的电磁波波长为470~476nm。对该微腔结构的品质因数的求解,得出缺陷态光谱曲线。在光谱曲线中,随着传输波长的增大,将产生几个峰值,并且在475nm处的波动最为明显,反映出在475nm附近的电磁波段在缺陷处的光强较大。进一步利用全矢量等效折射率法研究该结构缺陷模频率的稳定性,得出等效折射率的变化曲线。从等效折射率变化曲线可以看出,当传输波长达到475nm时,该结构已经达到稳定传输的区域。含缺陷模的二维光子晶体微腔结构在光子晶体发光二极管以及高阈值半导体激光器等方面有着重要的应用价值。  相似文献
