New complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) with new Schiff bases derived by the condensation of p-aminoacetophenoneoxime with 5-methoxysalicylaldehyde are synthesized. The compounds are characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectra, electronic spectral data, and molar conductivity. The thermal stabilities of the compounds are also reported. The Schiff base acts as bidentate O,N-donor atoms, and their metal complexes are supposed to possess a tetrahedral geometry with respect to the central metal ion. The general formula of the 5-methoxysalicyliden-p-aminoacetophenoneoxime Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes is Co(L)2, Ni(L)2, Cu(L)2, and Zn(L)2.  相似文献

New bidentate Schiff-base ligands 2-(2,4-di-p-tolyl-3-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-ylidene)hydrazinecarbothioamide HL1 and 2-(2,4-di-p-tolyl-3-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-ylidene)hydrazinecarboxamide HL2 were synthesized from the condensation of 2,4-di-p-tolyl-3-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-one with thiosemicarbazide and semicarbazide, respectively. Homoleptic complexes of these ligands, of general formula K[Cr(L n )2Cl2], K2[Mn(L n )2Cl2], K2[Fe(L1)2Cl2] and [M(L n )2] (where M = Co(II), Ni(II) Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Hg(II) ions; n = 1 or 2) are reported. The mode of bonding and overall geometry of the complexes were determined through IR, UV-Vis, NMR and mass spectral studies, magnetic moment measurements, elemental analysis, metal content, and conductance. These studies revealed octahedral geometry for Cr(III), Mn(II), and Fe(II) complexes, square planar for Cu(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes and tetrahedral for Zn(II), Cd(II), and Hg(II) complexes.  相似文献

The (HL n )2[CuCl4] complexes (where L n are organic nitrogen-containing bases with n = 1–6) were synthesized. The crystal and molecular structures of bis(2-methylimidazolium) tetrachlorocuprate(II), (HL1)2[CuCl4], were determined. The spectral characteristics of the complexes were measured. The correlations between the degree of distortion of the crystal structure of the tetrachlorocuprate anion and the hydrogen bond parameters and the spectral characteristics of compounds were obtained.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of new transition metal complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) with 3‐(2‐hydroxynaph‐1‐ylazo)‐1,2,4‐triazole ( HL1 ) and 3‐(2‐hydroxy‐3‐carboxynaph‐1‐ylazo)‐1,2,4‐triazole ( HL2 ) have been carried out. Their structures were confirmed by elemental analyses, thermal analyses, spectral and magnetic data. The IR and 1H NMR spectra indicated that HL1 and HL2 coordinated to the metal ions as bidentate monobasic ligands via the hydroxyl O and azo N atoms. The UV‐Vis, ESR spectra and magnetic moment data revealed the formation of octahedral complexes [Mn L1 (AcO)(H2O)3] ( 1 ), [Co L1 (AcO)(H2O)3]·H2O ( 2 ), [Mn L2 (AcO)(H2O)3] ( 6 ) and [Co L2 (AcO)(H2O)3] ( 7 ), [Ni L1 (AcO)(H2O)] ( 3 ), [Zn L1 (AcO)(H2O)]·H2O ( 5 ), [Ni L2 (AcO)(H2O)] ( 8 ), [Zn L2 (AcO)(H2O)]·10H2O ( 10 ) have tetrahedral geometry, whereas [Cu L1 (AcO)(H2O)2] ( 4 ) and [Cu L2 (AcO)(H2O)2]·5H2O ( 9 ) have square pyramidal geometry.. The mass spectra of the complexes under EI‐con‐ ditions showed the highest peaks corresponding to their molecular weights, based on the atomic weights of 55Mn, 59Co, 58Ni, 63Cu and 64Zn isotopes; besides, other peaks containing other isotopes distribution of the metal. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of the thermal decomposition stages were computed from the thermal data using Coats‐Redfern method. HL2 and complexes 6 – 10 were found to have moderate antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus (gram positive), Escherichia coli (gram negative) and Salmonella sp bacteria, and antifungal activity against Fusarium oxysporum, Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans. Also, in most cases, metallation increased the activity compared with the free ligand.  相似文献

By X-ray structural analysis the crystal structure of 2-bromo-3-phenylpropenal benzoylhydrazone (HL) was determined. The molecule is not flat. In the crystal the HL molecules form infinite chains with reciprocal van der Waals interaction. 2-Bromo-3-phenylpropenal hydrazone (HL) and thiosemicarbazone (HL′) react with cobalt, nickel, copper and zinc chlorides, nitrates and acetates to form coordination compounds of the composition Cu(HL)(L)2 [HL = C6H5-CH=CBr-CH=N-NH-C(O)-C6H5], MX2·2 HL′·nH2O [M = Co, Ni, Cu, Zn; X = Cl, NO3, HL′ = C6H5-CH=CBr-CH=N-NH-C(S)-NH2; n = 0–3], MX2·HL·n H2O [M = Ni, Cu; n = 0, 1], and ML′2·nH2O [M = Co, Ni, Zn; n = 0–3]. The same reactions in the presence of amines (A = C5H5N, 2-CH3C5H4N, 3-CH3C5H4N, 4-CH3C5H4N) afford complexes of the composition CuALCl and MALX·n H2O [M = Cu, Ni; X = Cl, NO3; n = 0–2]. Structure of the coordination node in the amine-containing copper derivatives is polynuclear, in complexes Cu(HL)(L)2 is octahedral, in other compounds it is tetrahedral. The azomethines (HL and HL′) in these complexes behave as bidentate N,O and N,S ligands. Thermolysis of the complexes includes a step of dehydration (60–90°C) and complete thermal decomposition (430–590°C).  相似文献

The reactions of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) chlorides and bromides and their metallic powders with tetrazol-1-yl-tris(hydroxymethyl)methane (L) afforded new complexes ML2Hal2 · mH2O(M = Co(II) or Ni(II), Hal = Cl; M = Cu(II), Hal = Cl or Br, m = 0; and M = Co(II) or Ni(II), Hal = Br, m = 2), MLnCl2 (M = Co(II) or Ni(II), n = 2 or 4; M = Cu(II), n = 2), and MLnBr2 · mH2O (M = Ni(II), n = 2, m = 2; M = Cu(II), n = 2, m = 0). The compositions and structures of the synthesized complexes were determined by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy (50–4000 cm−1), and X-ray diffraction analysis. The introduction of a bulky substituent into position 1 of the tetrazole cycle was shown to exert almost no effect on the coordination mode but affected the composition and structure of the complexes.  相似文献

Two new cobalt(II) complexes, [Co(L3)2]·CH3OH·CH3COCH3 (1) (HL3 = 1-(2-{[(E)-3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxybenzylidene]amino}phenyl)ethanone oxime) and Co(L4)2 (2) (HL4 = 1-(2-{[(E)-3,5-dibromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene]amino}phenyl)ethanone oxime), have been synthesized via complexation of Co(II) acetate tetrahydrate with HL1 and HL2. HL1, HL2, and their corresponding Co(II) complexes were characterized by IR, 1H NMR spectra, as well as by elemental analysis and UV–Vis spectroscopy, respectively. The crystal structures of the complexes have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 1 and 2 display that extensive hydrogen bonds and C–X···π bonding interactions construct the 1-D infinite chain [Co(L3)2]·CH3OH·CH3COCH3 and Co(L4)2 into 2-D supramolecular frameworks. The electrochemical properties of two Co(II) complexes were also investigated by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) 3-methyladipates were investigated and their qualitative composition and magnetic moments were determined. The IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared of the general formula M(C7H10O4nH2O (n=0-11) were recorded and their thermal decomposition in air were studied. During heating the hydrated complexes are dehydrated in one (Co, Ni) or two steps (Mn, Zn) losing all crystallization water molecules (Co, Ni) or some water molecules (Mn, Zn) and then anhydrous (Co, Ni, Cu) or hydrated complexes (Mn, Zn) decompose directly to oxides (Mn, Co, Zn) or with intermediate formation the mixture of M+MO (Ni, Cu). The carboxylate groups are bidentate (Mn, Co, Ni, Cu) or monodentate (Zn). The complexes exist as polymers. The magnetic moments for the paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) attain values 5.48, 4.49, 2.84 and 1.45 B.M., respectively. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

A series of six new Zn (II) compounds, viz., [Zn(HLASA)2(Py)2] ( 1 ), [Zn(HLMASA)2(Py)2] ( 2 ), [Zn(HLMASA)2(4‐MePy)2] ( 3 ), [Zn(HLCASA)2(4‐MePy)2] ( 4 ), [Zn(HLBASA)2(Py)2] ( 5 ), [Zn(HLBASA)2(4‐MePy)2] ( 6 ) and representative Cu (II) and Cd (II) complexes, viz., [Cu(HLASA)2(Py)2(H2O)] ( 7 ) and [Cd(HLBASA)2(Py)3] ( 8 ) [(HLXASA)? = para‐substituted 5‐[(E)‐2‐(aryl)‐1‐diazenyl]‐2‐hydroxybenzoate with X = H (ASA), Me (MASA), Cl (CASA) or Br (BASA); Py = pyridine; 4‐MePy = 4‐methylpyridine] have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic techniques and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. The structural characterization of the compounds revealed distorted tetrahedral ( 1 – 6 ), square‐pyramidal ( 7 ) and pentagonal‐bipyramidal ( 8 ) coordination geometries around the metal atom, in which the aryl‐substituted diazosalicylate ligands are coordinated only through the oxygen atoms of carboxylate groups, either in an anisobidentate or isobidentate mode; meanwhile, the 2‐hydroxy groups of the monoanionic ligand (HLXASA)? are involved only in intramolecular O‐H···O hydrogen bonds with the carboxylate function. In the crystal structures of 1 – 8 , the complex molecules are assembled by π‐stacking interactions giving mostly infinite 1D strands. The intermolecular binding in the solid state structures is accomplished by diverse additional non‐covalent contacts including C‐H···O, C‐H···N, C‐H···π, C‐H···Br, O···Br, Br···π and van der Waals contacts. Although the primary and secondary ligands in the Zn (II) complex series 1 – 6 carry different substituents at the periphery (X = H, Me, Cl, Br for (HLXASA)? and R = H, Me for 4‐Py‐R), five of the crystal structures were isostructural. Additionally, the antimicrobial activity of the pro‐ligands H2LXASA and their Zn (II), Cu (II) and Cd (II) compounds were studied in a comparative manner, showing high sensitivity (IZD ≥ 20) against Bacillus subtilis.  相似文献

The syntheses of a mononuclear zinc(II) complex [ZnCl(L1)(Amp)] (I) and a mononuclear nickel(II) complex [Ni(L2)(HL2)](BF4) · 0.5H2O (II) (HL1 = 4-methyl-2-[(4-methylpyridin-2-ylimino) methyl]phenol, HL2 = 4-methyl-2-[(pyridin-2-ylmethylimino)methyl]phenol; Amp = 2-amino-4- methylpyridine) were prepared under microwave irradiation. The complexes were characterized by a combination of elemental analyses, and IR and electronic spectra. Their structures were further confirmed by single crystal X-ray crystallography (СIF files CCDC nos 1437737 (I), 1437738 (II)). The Zn atom in the monomeric complex I is in tetrahedral coordination. The Ni atoms in the dimeric complex II are in octahedral coordination. Crystals of the complexes are stabilized by hydrogen bonds. In order to evaluate the biological activity of the complexes, in vitro antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was assayed. The complexes have strong activity against Bacillus subtilis.  相似文献

Two two‐dimensional supramolecular copper(II) and cobalt(III) complexes, Cu(L1)2 ( 1 ; HL1 = 2‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxybenzaldehyde oxime) and [Co(L2)2]2⋅2CH3COOCH2CH3 ( 2 ; HL2 = 1‐(2‐{[(E )‐3‐methoxy‐2‐hydroxybenzylidene]amino}phenyl)ethanone oxime), have been synthesized via complexation of Cu(II) nitrate trihydrate and Co(II) acetate tetrahydrate with HL. A plausible reaction mechanism for the formation of HL1 is proposed. HL was synthesized and characterized using infrared, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectra, as well as elemental analysis. Complexes 1 and 2 were investigated using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction and have a 2:1 ligand‐to‐metal ratio. Different geometric features of both complexes are observed. In their crystal structures, 1 and 2 form infinite two‐dimensional structures and 2 forms a three‐dimensional supramolecular framework. Electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of 1 and 2 were also investigated. Moreover, thermal and electrochemical properties and antimicrobial activity of 2 were also studied. In addition, the calculated HOMO and LUMO energies show the character of complex 1 .  相似文献

Two new Cu(II) complexes, [Cu(L1)2] (1) and [Cu(L2)2] (2) (HL1 = (E)-3-bromo-5-chloro-2-hydroxy benzaldehyde O-methyl oxime; HL2 = (E)-3-bromo-5-chloro-2-hydroxy benzaldehyde O-ethyl oxime), have been synthesized and characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. X-ray crystallographic analyses show that complexes 1 and 2 have similar structures, consisting of one Cu(II) atom and two L units. In both complexes, the Cu(II) atom, lying on an inversion center, is four-coordinated in a trans-CuN2O2 square-planar geometry by two phenolate O and two oxime N atoms from two symmetry-related N,O-bidentate oxime ligands. Moreover, both complexes form an infinite three-dimensional supramolecular structure involving intermolecular C–H···Br hydrogen bonds and π···π stacking interactions between the metal chelate rings and aromatic rings. Substituent effects in the two complexes are discussed.  相似文献

Four new nickel(II), zinc(II), and cobalt(II) complexes, [Zn(L1)2]?·?H2O (1), [Ni(L1)2]?·?H2O (2), [Ni(L2)2] (3), and [Co(L3)2]?·?H2O (4), derived from hydroxy-rich Schiff bases 2-{[1-(5-chloro-2-hydroxyphenyl)methylidene]amino}-2-methylpropane-1,3-diol (HL1), 2-{[1-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)methylidene]amino}-2-ethylpropane-1,3-diol (HL2), and 2-{[1-(5-bromo-2-hydroxyphenyl)methylidene]amino}-2-methylpropane-1,3-diol (HL3) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, infrared spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray determination. Each metal in the complexes is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral coordination. The Schiff bases coordinate to the metal atoms through the imino N, phenolate O, and one hydroxyl O. In the crystal structures of HL1 and the complexes, molecules are linked through intermolecular O–H···O hydrogen bonds, forming 1-D chains. The urease inhibitory activities of the compounds were evaluated and molecular docking study of the compounds with the Helicobacter pylori urease was performed.  相似文献

The new complexes of 2-[(2-oxo-1,2-dihydroindol-3-ylidene)amino]butanoic acid, LH (where L = C12H11N2O3), with Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) of general formulae MLCl·nH2O, for Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II), and ML2·H2O for Mn(II) and Zn(II), where n = 1, 2 depending on M(II) ions, are synthesized. The complexes crystallize in a monoclinic system, and upon heating in the air (293–1173 K) decompose in three steps forming eventually the corresponding oxides of the metals(II). In the course of this process the organic ligand decomposes releasing the molecules of H2O, CO2, NH3, CO, hydrocarbons, and additionally HCl for Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes. Magnetic moments of compounds are determined in the ranges of 76–303 and 2–300 K. All analyzed compounds, except that of Zn(II), demonstrate the paramagnetic properties with the ferro- and antiferromagnetic interactions between molecular centres.

Mononuclear Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Mg(II), Sr(II), Ba(II), Ca(II), Pt(IV), Au(III), and Pd(II) complexes of the drug amlodipine besylate (HL) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic technique (IR, UV–Vis, solid reflectance, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, and 1H-NMR) and magnetic measurements. The elemental analyses of the complexes are confirmed by the stoichiometry of the types [M(HL)(X)2(H2O)]·nH2O [M = Mn(II), Co(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Mg(II), Sr(II), Ba(II), and Ca(II); X = Cl? or NO3 ?], [Cd(HL)(H2O)]Cl2, [Pd(HL)2]Cl2, [Pt(L)2]Cl2, and [Au(L)2]Cl, respectively. Infrared data revealed that the amlodipine besylate drug ligand chelated as monobasic tridentate through NH2, oxygen (ether), and OH of besylate groups in Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Mg(II), Sr(II), Ba(II), Ca(II), and Au(III) complexes, but in Pt(IV) and Pd(II) complexes, the amlodipine besylate coordinates via NH2 and OH (besylate) groups. An octahedral geometry is proposed for all complexes except for the Cd(II), Pt(IV), and Pd(II) complexes. The amlodipine besylate free ligand and the transition and non-transition complexes showed antibacterial activity towards some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and the fungi (Aspergillus flavus and Candida albicans).  相似文献

Mononuclear copper(II), cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes of cetirizine (CTZ = 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenyl methyl]-piperazine-1-yl]-ethoxy]acetic acid) in the presence of 2-aminomethyl-benzimidazole·2HCl (AMBI), as a representative example of heterocyclic bases, were synthesized and studied by different physical techniques. All mixed-ligand complexes have been fully characterized with the help of elemental analyses, molecular weight determinations, molar conductance, magnetic moments and spectroscopic data. The formulae of the isolated complexes are [M(AMBI)(CTZ)(NO3)(H2O)2nH2O where AMBI is the neutral bidentate 2-aminomethylbenzimidazole, CTZ the deprotonated cetirizine and n = 1 for Co(II) or 0 for Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes. The measured molar conductance values in DMSO indicate that the complexes are non-electrolytes. The formation equilibria of the ternary complexes have been investigated. Ternary complexes are formed by a simultaneous mechanism. Stoichiometry and stability constants for the complexes formed are reported. The concentration distribution of the complexes in solution was evaluated as a function of pH. The thermodynamic parameters were calculated from the temperature dependence of the equilibrium constants and are discussed. The synthesized metal chelates have been screened for their antimicrobial activities against the selected types of Gram-positive (G+) and Gram-negative (G?) bacteria. They were found to be more active against Gram positive than Gram negative bacteria. The antimicrobial activity in terms of metal ions obeys this order: Cu(II) > Ni(II) > Co(II).  相似文献

Azo Schiff base ligand 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-(tolyldiazenyl)benzaldehyde oxime (HL1) and 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-(methoxyphenyl)benzaldehyde oxime (HL2) were prepared along with their transition metal complexes of Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II). Ligands and their metal complexes were characterized by several analysis techniques. In- vitro antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of synthesized ligands and their metal complexes have been studied. Biological study showed that amongst all the synthesized compounds, Cu(II) complexes possessed excellent antibacterial activity than standard antibiotic Chloramphenicol. Ligands (HL1) and (HL2) showed excellent antioxidant as well as anti-inflammatory activity. Both the ligands were tested for their protective effect of free radicals against plasmid DNA and it was found that both the ligands showed good DNA nicking activity.  相似文献

The Cu, Ni, and Со complexes based on the following new azomethine compounds containing azobenzene groups in the ortho- or para-positions of the amine fragment are synthesized: 2-allyl-6-[(E)-[4-(E)-phenylazophenyl]iminomethyl]phenol (HL1), 2-allyl-6-[(E)-[4-methyl-2-[(E)-phenylazo]-p-tolylazo] iminomethyl]phenol (HL2), 5-methoxy-2-[(E)-[4-[(E)-phenylazo]phenyl]iminoethyl]phenol (HL3), and 5-methoxy-2-[(E)-[4-methyl-2-[(E)-p-tolylazo]phenyl]iminomethyl]phenol (HL4). The structures of the complexes are determined by the data of IR and 1Н NMR spectroscopy (for the azomethine compounds), X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and magnetochemistry. The coordination centers of all Cu complexes have a distorted square structure. A direct dependence of the geometry of the coordination polyhedron on the position of azobenzene groups in the amine fragments of the ligands is found for the Ni and Co complexes. The octahedral environment of the nickel and cobalt ions takes place in the case of the ortho-position of the amine fragment, whereas the square environment for the Ni complexes or the tetrahedral environment for the Co complexes is observed at the para-position. The molecular structures of two azomethines HL1 and HL4 are determined by X-ray diffraction analysis (CIF files CCDC nos. 1552836 (HL1) and 1552837 (HL4)).  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 3-methoxy-4-methylbenzoates were investigated and their quantitative composition and magnetic moments were determined. The IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared of general formula M(C9H9O3)2·nH2O (n=2 for Mn, Co n=1 for Ni, Cu, n=0 for Zn, Cd) were prepared and their thermal decomposition in air was studied. Their solubility in water at 293 K is of the order 10–2 (Mn)–10–4 (Cu) mol dm–3. IR spectra of the prepared 3-methoxy-4-methylbenzoates suggest that carboxylate groups are bidentate bridging. The magnetic moments for the paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) attain values 5.50, 4.45, 3.16 and 1.79 B. M., respectively. During heating the hydrated complexes lose crystallization water molecules in one step and then the anhydrous complexes decompose directly to oxides MO and Mn3O4. Only Co(II) complex decomposes to Co3O4 with intermediate formation CoO.  相似文献
