A 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (cyclen) variant bearing two thiosemicarbazone pendant groups has been prepared. The ligand forms complexes with Mn2+, Co2+ and Zn2+. X-ray crystallography of the Mn2+, Co2+ and Zn2+ complexes showed that the ligand provides a six-coordinate environment for the metal ions. The Mn2+ and Zn2+ complexes exist in the solid state as racemic mixtures of the Δ(δ,δ,δ,δ)/Λ(λ,λ,λ,λ) and Δ(λ,λ,λ,λ)/Λ(δ,δ,δ,δ) diastereomers, and the Co2+ complex exists as the Δ(δ,δ,δ,δ)/Λ(λ,λ,λ,λ) and Δ(λ,λ,λ,δ)/Λ(δ,δ,δ,λ) diastereomers. Density functional theory calculations indicated that the relative energies of the diastereomers are within 10 kJ mol−1. Magnetic susceptibility of the complexes indicated that both the Mn2+ and Co2+ ions are high spin. The ligand was radiolabelled with gallium-68, in the interest of developing new positron emission tomography imaging agents, which produced a single species in high radiochemical purity (>95%) at 90 °C for 10 min.  相似文献

The first use of methyl 2-pyridyl ketoxime (mepaoH) in homometallic lanthanide(III) [Ln(III)] chemistry is described. The 1:2 reactions of Ln(NO3)3·nH2O (Ln = Nd, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy; n = 5, 6) and mepaoH in MeCN have provided access to complexes [Ln2(O2CMe)4(NO3)2(mepaoH)2] (Ln = Nd, 1; Ln = Eu, 2; Ln = Gd, 3; Ln = Tb, 4; Ln = Dy, 5); the acetato ligands derive from the LnIII—mediated hydrolysis of MeCN. The 1:1 and 1:2 reactions between Dy(O2CMe)3·4H2O and mepaoH in MeOH/MeCN led to the all-acetato complex [Dy2(O2CMe)6(mepaoH)2] (6). Treatment of 6 with one equivalent of HNO3 gave 5. The structures of 1, 5, and 6 were solved by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Elemental analyses and IR spectroscopy provide strong evidence that 2–4 display similar structural characteristics with 1 and 5. The structures of 1–5 consist of dinuclear molecules in which the two LnIII centers are bridged by two bidentate bridging (η1:η1:μ2) and two chelating-bridging (η1:η2:μ2) acetate groups. The LnIII atoms are each chelated by a N,N’-bidentate mepaoH ligand and a near-symmetrical bidentate nitrato group. The molecular structure of 6 is similar to that of 5, the main difference being the presence of two chelating acetato groups in the former instead of the two chelating nitrato groups in the latter. The geometry of the 9-coordinate LnIII centers in 1, 5 and 6 can be best described as a muffin-type (MFF-9). The 3D lattices of the isomorphous 1 and 5 are built through H-bonding, π⋯π stacking and C-H⋯π interactions, while the 3D architecture of 6 is stabilized by H bonds. The IR spectra of the complexes are discussed in terms of the coordination modes of the organic and inorganic ligands involved. The Eu(III) complex 2 displays a red, metal-ion centered emission in the solid state; the TbIII atom in solid 4 emits light in the same region with the ligand. Magnetic susceptibility studies in the 2.0–300 K range reveal weak antiferromagnetic intramolecular GdIII…GdIII exchange interactions in 3; the J value is −0.09(1) cm−1 based on the spin Hamiltonian Ĥ = −J(ŜGd1·ŜGd2).  相似文献

We report two macrocyclic ligands based on a 1,7-diaza-12-crown-4 platform functionalized with acetate (tO2DO2A2−) or piperidineacetamide (tO2DO2AMPip) pendant arms and a detailed characterization of the corresponding Mn(II) complexes. The X−ray structure of [Mn(tO2DO2A)(H2O)]·2H2O shows that the metal ion is coordinated by six donor atoms of the macrocyclic ligand and one water molecule, to result in seven-coordination. The Cu(II) analogue presents a distorted octahedral coordination environment. The protonation constants of the ligands and the stability constants of the complexes formed with Mn(II) and other biologically relevant metal ions (Mg(II), Ca(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)) were determined using potentiometric titrations (I = 0.15 M NaCl, T = 25 °C). The conditional stabilities of Mn(II) complexes at pH 7.4 are comparable to those reported for the cyclen-based tDO2A2− ligand. The dissociation of the Mn(II) chelates were investigated by evaluating the rate constants of metal exchange reactions with Cu(II) under acidic conditions (I = 0.15 M NaCl, T = 25 °C). Dissociation of the [Mn(tO2DO2A)(H2O)] complex occurs through both proton− and metal−assisted pathways, while the [Mn(tO2DO2AMPip)(H2O)] analogue dissociates through spontaneous and proton-assisted mechanisms. The Mn(II) complex of tO2DO2A2− is remarkably inert with respect to its dissociation, while the amide analogue is significantly more labile. The presence of a water molecule coordinated to Mn(II) imparts relatively high relaxivities to the complexes. The parameters determining this key property were investigated using 17O NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) transverse relaxation rates and 1H nuclear magnetic relaxation dispersion (NMRD) profiles.  相似文献

Seeking to enrich the yet less explored field of scorpionate complexes bearing antioxidant properties, we, here, report on the synthesis, characterization and assessment of the antioxidant activity of new complexes derived from three scorpionate ligands. The interaction between the scorpionate ligands thallium(I) hydrotris(5-methyl-indazolyl)borate (TlTp4Bo,5Me), thallium(I) hydrotris(4,5-dihydro-2H-benzo[g]indazolyl)borate (TlTpa) and potassium hydrotris(3-tert-butyl- pyrazolyl)borate (KTptBu), and metal(II) chlorides, in dichloromethane at room temperature, produced a new family of complexes having the stoichiometric formula [M(Tp4Bo,5Me)2] (M = Cu, 1; Zn, 4; Cd, 7), [M(Tpa)2] (M = Cu, 2; Zn, 5; Cd, 8), [Cu(HpztBu)3Cl2] (3), [Zn(TptBu)Cl] (6) and [Cd(BptBu)(HpztBu)Cl] (9). The obtained metal complexes were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance and elemental analysis, highlighting the total and partial hydrolysis of the scorpionate ligand TptBu during the synthesis of the Cu(II) complex 3 and the Cd(II) complex 9, respectively. An assessment of the antioxidant activity of the obtained metal complexes was performed through both enzymatic and non-enzymatic assays against 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl- hydrazyl (DPPH·), 2,2′-Azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), hydroxyl (HO·), nitric oxide (NO·), superoxide (O2) and peroxide (OOH·) radicals. In particular, the complex [Cu(Tpa)2]⋅0.5H2O (2) exhibited significant antioxidant activity, as good and specific activity against superoxide (O2−·), (IC50 values equal to 5.6 ± 0.2 μM) and might be identified as auspicious SOD-mimics (SOD = superoxide dismutase).  相似文献

A cyclen-based ligand containing trans-acetate and trans-methylenephosphonate pendant groups, H 6DO2A2P, was synthesized and its protonation constants (12.6, 11.43, 5.95, 6.15, 2.88, and 2.77) were determined by pH-potentiometry and (1)H NMR spectroscopy. The first two protonations were shown to occur at the two macrocyclic ring N-CH 2-PO 3 (2-) nitrogens while the third and fourth protonations occur at the two phosphonate groups. In parallel with protonation of the two -PO 3 (2-) groups, the protons from the NH (+)-CH 2-PO 3 (2-) are transferred to the N-CH 2-COO (-) nitrogens. The stability constants of the Ca (2+), Cu (2+), and Zn (2+) (ML, MHL, MH 2L, and M 2L) complexes were determined by direct pH-potentiometry. Lanthanide(III) ions (Ln (3+)) form similar species, but the formation of complexes is slow; so, "out-of-cell" pH-potentiometry (La (3+), Eu (3+), Gd (3+), Y (3+)) and competitive spectrophotometry with Cu(II) ion (Lu (3+)) were used to determine the stability constants. By comparing the log K ML values with those of the corresponding DOTA (H 4DOTA = 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid) and DOTP (H 8DOTP = 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetramethylenephosphonic acid) complexes, the order DOTA < DO2A2P < DOTP was found for all the metal ion complexes examined here with the exception of the Ca (2+) complexes, for which the order is reversed. The relaxivity of Gd(DO2A2P) decreases between pH 2 and 7 but remains constant in the pH range of 7 < pH < 12 ( r 1 = 3.6 mM (-1) s (-1)). The linewiths of the (17)O NMR signals of water in the absence and presence of Gd(DO2A2P) (at pH = 3.45 and 8.5) between 274 and 350 K are practically the same, characteristic of a q = 0 complex. Detailed kinetic studies of the Ce (3+) and Gd (3+) complexes with DO2A2P showed that complex formation is slow and involves a high stability diprotonated intermediate Ln(H 2DO2A2P)*. Rearrangement of the diprotonated intermediate into the final complex is an OH (-) assisted process but, unlike formation of Ln(DOTA) complexes, rearrangement of Ln(H 2DO2A2P)* also takes place spontaneously likely as a result of transfer of one of the protons from a ring nitrogen to a phosphonate group. The order of the OH (-) assisted formation rates of complexes is DOTA > DO2A2P > DOTP while the order of the proton assisted dissociation rates of the Gd (3+) complexes is reversed, DOTP > DO2A2P > DOTA. (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra of Eu(DO2A2P) and Lu(DO2A2P) were assigned using two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D COSY), heteronuclear multiple quantum coherence (HMQC), heteronuclear chemical shift correlation (HETCOR), and exchange spectroscopy (EXSY) NMR methods. Two sets of (1)H NMR signals were observed for Eu(DO2A2P) characteristic of the presence of two coordination isomers in solution, a twisted square antiprism (TSAP) and a square antiprism (SAP), in the ratio of ~93% and ~7%, respectively. Line shape analysis of the (1)H NMR spectra of Lu(DO2A2P) gave lower activation parameters compared to La(DOTP) for interconversion between coordination isomers. This indicates that the Ln(DO2A2P) complexes are less rigid probably due to the different size and spatial requirements of the carboxylate and phosphonate groups.  相似文献

Hydro(solvo)thermal reactions of Cd(NO3)2, N-(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)-4-(pyridin-4-yl)-1,8-naphthalimide (NI-mbpy-34), and 5-bromobenzene-1,3-dicarboxylic acid (Br-1,3-H2bdc) afforded a luminescent coordination polymer, {[Cd(Br-1,3-bdc)(NI-mbpy-34)(H2O)]∙2H2O}n (1). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis showed that 1 features a two-dimensional (2-D) gridlike sql layer with the point symbol of (44·62), where the Cd(II) center adopts a {CdO5N2} pentagonal bipyramidal geometry. Thermogravimetric (TG) analysis confirmed the thermal stability of 1 up to about 340 °C, whereas XRPD patterns proved the maintenance of crystallinity and framework integrity of 1 in CH2Cl2, H2O, CH3OH, and toluene. Photoluminescence studies indicated that 1 displayed intense blue fluorescence emissions in both solid-state and H2O suspension-phase. Owing to the good fluorescent properties, 1 could serve as an excellent turn-off fluorescence sensor for selective and sensitive Cr(VI) detection in water, with LOD = 15.15 μM for CrO42 and 14.91 μM for Cr2O72, through energy competition absorption mechanism. In addition, 1 could also sensitively detect Cr3+, Fe3+, and Al3+ ions in aqueous medium via fluorescence-enhancement responses, with LOD = 2.81 μM for Cr3+, 3.82 μM for Fe3+, and 3.37 μM for Al3+, mainly through an absorbance-caused enhancement (ACE) mechanism.  相似文献

Two novel copper(II) complexes of formulas {[Cu(4-Hmpz)4][Cu(4-Hmpz)23-ox-κ2O1,O2:κO2′:κO1′)(ClO4)2]}n (1) and {[Cu(3,4,5-Htmpz)4]2[Cu(3,4,5-Htmpz)23-ox-κ2O1,O2:κO2′:κO1′)(H2O)(ClO4)]2[Cu2(3,4,5-Htmpz)4(µ-ox-κ2O1,O2:κ2O2′,O1′)]}(ClO4)4·6H2O (2) have been obtained by using 4-methyl-1H-pyrazole (4-Hmpz) and 3,4,5-trimethyl-1H-pyrazole (3,4,5-Htmpz) as terminal ligands and oxalate (ox) as the polyatomic inverse coordination center. The crystal structure of 1 consists of perchlorate counteranions and cationic copper(II) chains with alternating bis(pyrazole)(µ3-κ2O1,O2:κO2′:κO1′-oxalato)copper(II) and tetrakis(pyrazole)copper(II) fragments. The crystal structure of 2 is made up of perchlorate counteranions and cationic centrosymmetric hexanuclear complexes where an inner tetrakis(pyrazole)(µ-κ2O1,O2:κ2O2′,O1′-oxalato)dicopper(II) entity and two outer mononuclear tetrakis(pyrazole)copper(II) units are linked through two mononuclear aquabis(pyrazole)(µ3-κ2O1,O2:κO2′:κO1′-oxalato)copper(II) units. The magnetic properties of 1 and 2 were investigated in the temperature range 2.0–300 K. Very weak intrachain antiferromagnetic interactions between the copper(II) ions through the µ3-ox-κ2O1,O2:κO2′:κO1′ center occur in 1 [J = −0.42(1) cm−1, the spin Hamiltonian being defined as H = −J∑S1,i · S2,i+1], whereas very weak intramolecular ferromagnetic [J = +0.28(2) cm−1] and strong antiferromagnetic [J’ = −348(2) cm−1] couplings coexist in 2 which are mediated by the µ3-ox-κ2O1,O2:κO2′:κO1′ and µ-ox-κ2O1,O2:κ2O2′,O1′ centers, respectively. The variation in the nature and magnitude of the magnetic coupling for this pair of oxalato-centered inverse copper(II) complexes is discussed in the light of their different structural features, and a comparison with related oxalato-centered inverse copper(II)-pyrazole systems from the literature is carried out.  相似文献

Four new compounds of formulas [Cu(hfac)2(L)] (1), [Ni(hfac)2(L)] (2), [{Cu(hfac)2}2(µ-L)]·2CH3OH (3) and [{Ni(hfac)2}2(µ-L)]·2CH3CN (4) [Hhfac = hexafluoroacetylacetone and L = 3,6-bis(picolylamino)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine] have been prepared and their structures determined by X-ray diffraction on single crystals. Compounds 1 and 2 are isostructural mononuclear complexes where the metal ions [copper(II) (1) and nickel(II) (2)] are six-coordinated in distorted octahedral MN2O4 surroundings which are built by two bidentate hfac ligands plus another bidentate L molecule. This last ligand coordinates to the metal ions through the nitrogen atoms of the picolylamine fragment. Compounds 3 and 4 are centrosymmetric homodinuclear compounds where two bidentate hfac units are the bidentate capping ligands at each metal center and a bis-bidentate L molecule acts as a bridge. The values of the intramolecular metal···metal separation are 7.97 (3) and 7.82 Å (4). Static (dc) magnetic susceptibility measurements were carried out for polycrystalline samples 1–4 in the temperature range 1.9–300 K. Curie law behaviors were observed for 1 and 2, the downturn of χMT in the low temperature region for 2 being due to the zero-field splitting of the nickel(II) ion. Very weak [J = −0.247(2) cm−1] and relatively weak intramolecular antiferromagnetic interactions [J = −4.86(2) cm−1] occurred in 3 and 4, respectively (the spin Hamiltonian being defined as H = −JS1·S2). Simple symmetry considerations about the overlap between the magnetic orbitals across the extended bis-bidentate L bridge in 3 and 4 account for their magnetic properties.  相似文献

The synthesis, structural, and photophysical investigations of CuI complexes with a disilanylene-bridged bispyridine ligand 1 are herein presented. Dinuclear (2) and ladder-like (3) octanuclear copper(I) complexes were straightforwardly prepared by exactly controlling the ratio of CuI/ligand 1. Single-crystal X-ray analysis confirmed that dinuclear complex 2 had no apparent π…π stacking whereas octanuclear complex 3 had π…π stacking in the crystal packing. In the solid state, the complexes display yellow-green (λem = 519 nm, Φ = 0.60, τ = 11 µs, 2) and blue (λem = 478 nm, Φ = 0.04, τ = 2.6 µs, 3) phosphorescence, respectively. The density functional theory calculations validate the differences in their optical properties. The difference in the luminescence efficiency between 2 and 3 is attributed to the presence of π…π stacking and the different luminescence processes.  相似文献

The method of capillary isotachophoresis with conductivity detection was applied for the determination of the physico-chemical characteristics (conditional stability constants log β′) of holmium and yttrium complexes with DTPA (diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid) and DOTA (1,4,7,10-tetraazadodecane-N,N′,N″,N-tetraacetic acid). The log β′ determination is based on the linear relation between the stability constants of lanthanide–DTPA (lanthanide–DOTA) complexes and the reduction of the zone of the complex owing to the bleeding phenomena (liberating free metal ion). The stability constants calculated using this relationship are comparable with the literary data obtained by other methods for both holmium (log βHo–DTPA=21.9, log βHo–DOTA=24.5) and yttrium complexes (log βY–DTPA=21.2, log βY–DOTA=24.4). Capillary isotachophoresis was applied for the determination of the optimum composition of the reaction mixture (metal:ligand ratio) as well.  相似文献

A series of Ln3+-metal centered complexes, Ln(TTA)3(DPPI) (Ln = La, 1; Ln = Eu, 2; Ln = Tb, 3; or Ln = Gd, 4) [(DPPI = N-(4-(1H-imidazo [4,5-f][1,10]phenanthrolin-2-yl)phenyl)-N-phenylbenzenamine) and (TTA = 2-Thenoyltrifluoroacetone)] have been synthesized and characterized. Among which, the Eu3+-complex shows efficient purity red luminescence in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) solution, with a Commission International De L’ Eclairage (CIE) coordinate at x = 0.638, y = 0.323 and ΦEuL = 38.9%. Interestingly, increasing the amounts of triethylamine (TEA) in the solution regulates the energy transfer between the ligand and the Eu3+-metal center, which further leads to the luminescence color changing from red to white, and then bluish-green depending on the different excitation wavelengths. Based on this, we have designed the IMPLICATION logic gate for TEA recognition by applying the amounts of TEA and the excitation wavelengths as the dual input signal, which makes this Eu3+-complex a promising candidate for TEA-sensing optical sensors.  相似文献

Background: Metabolic and physicochemical evaluation is recommended to manage the condition of patients with nephrolithiasis. The estimation of the saturation state (β values) is often included in the diagnostic work-up, and it is preferably performed through calculations. The free concentrations of constituent ions are estimated by considering the main ionic soluble complexes. It is contended that this approach is liable to an overestimation of β values because some complexes may be overlooked. A recent report found that β values could be significantly lowered upon the addition of new and so far neglected complexes, [Ca(PO4)Cit]4− and [Ca2H2(PO4)2]. The aim of this work was to assess whether these complexes can be relevant to explaining the chemistry of urine. Methods: The Ca–phosphate–citrate aqueous system was investigated by potentiometric titrations. The stability constants of the parent binary complexes [Cacit] and [CaPO4], and the coordination tendency of PO43− toward [Ca(cit)] to form the ternary complex, were estimated. βCaOx and βCaHPO4 were then calculated on 5 natural urines by chemical models, including or not including the [CaPO4] and [Ca(PO4)cit]4− species. Results: Species distribution diagrams show that the [Ca(PO4)cit]4− species was only noticeable at pH > 8.5 and below 10% of the total calcium. β values estimated on natural urine were slightly lowered by the formation of [CaPO4] species, whereas [Ca(PO4)cit]4− results were irrelevant. Conclusions: While [CaPO4] species have an impact on saturation levels at higher pHs, the existence of ternary complex and of the dimer is rejected.  相似文献

Spectrophotometric and calorimetric titrations were used to determine the equilibrium constants (log10 K 111) and enthalpies of formation (ΔH 111) for aqueous ternary complexes of the form M(La)(Lb) (M = Nd3+, Sm3+, Tb3+, Ho3+, Er3+, or Am3+; La = DTPA5?, DO3A3?, or CDTA4?; Lb = oxalate (Ox), malonate (Mal), or iminodiacetate (IDA)). Inner-sphere ternary complexes were readily formed with the septadentate DO3A (1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7-triacetic acid) and hexadentate CDTA (trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexanetetraacetic acid) ligands, whose binary complexes have residual metal-coordinated water molecules that are readily displaced by the smaller secondary ligands. The stability constants for the formation of lanthanide–CDTA complexes with Ox, Mal, and IDA generally increase with decreasing ionic radius when steric hindrance is minimal, with the trend in the M(CDTA)? formation constants overshadowing any size-based reversal in the stepwise ternary complexation constants. Similar ternary complexes with DO3A showed little increase in thermodynamic stability compared to analogous CDTA complexes and no preference for larger Ln cations. The octadentate DTPA (diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid) ligand proved too large to form ternary complexes to a measurable extent with any of the secondary ligands investigated, despite the presence of one residual inner sphere water molecule.  相似文献

Co-crystallization of the prominent Fe(ii) spin-crossover (SCO) cation, [Fe(3-bpp)2]2+ (3-bpp = 2,6-bis(pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine), with a fractionally charged TCNQδ radical anion has afforded a hybrid complex [Fe(3-bpp)2](TCNQ)3·5MeCN (1·5MeCN, where δ = −0.67). The partially desolvated material shows semiconducting behavior, with the room temperature conductivity σRT = 3.1 × 10−3 S cm−1, and weak modulation of conducting properties in the region of the spin transition. The complete desolvation, however, results in the loss of hysteretic behavior and a very gradual SCO that spans the temperature range of 200 K. A related complex with integer-charged TCNQ anions, [Fe(3-bpp)2](TCNQ)2·3MeCN (2·3MeCN), readily loses the interstitial solvent to afford desolvated complex 2 that undergoes an abrupt and hysteretic spin transition centered at 106 K, with an 11 K thermal hysteresis. Complex 2 also exhibits a temperature-induced excited spin-state trapping (TIESST) effect, upon which a metastable high-spin state is trapped by flash-cooling from room temperature to 10 K. Heating above 85 K restores the ground-state low-spin configuration. An approach to improve the structural stability of such complexes is demonstrated by using a related ligand 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2′-yl)pyridine (bzimpy) to obtain [Fe(bzimpy)2](TCNQ)6·2Me2CO (4) and [Fe(bzimpy)2](TCNQ)5·5MeCN (5), both of which exist as LS complexes up to 400 K and exhibit semiconducting behavior, with σRT = 9.1 × 10−2 S cm−1 and 1.8 × 10−3 S cm−1, respectively.

Co-crystallization of the cationic complex [Fe(3-bpp)2]2+ with fractionally charged TCNQδ anions (0 < δ < 1) affords semiconducting spin-crossover (SCO) materials. The abruptness of SCO is strongly dependent on the interstitial solvent content.  相似文献

The thermodynamics of the interaction of L-glutamic-N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA) with protons was studied potentiometrically at different temperatures, ionic strengths and ionic media. Four protonation constants and corresponding enthalpy changes occurred at infinite dilution together with temperature and ionic strength coefficients. The medium effect was also interpreted in terms of the formation of weak complexes between the ligand and the cations of supporting electrolytes, resulting in a greater tendency of GLDA to chemically interact with Na+ rather than K+ and, in turn, (CH3)4N+. Formation constants of GLDA with Cd2+ were determined in NaCl(aq) at different ionic strength values. Five complex species were found, namely CdL2−, CdHL, CdH2L0(aq), Cd2L0(aq), and Cd(OH)L3−, whose formation constant values at infinite dilution were log β = 12.68, 17.61, 20.76, 17.52, and 1.77, respectively. All the species results were relevant in the pH range of natural waters, although the Cd2L0(aq) was observed only for CCdCGLDA and concentrations of >0.1 mmol dm−3. The sequestering ability of GLDA toward Cd2+, evaluated by means of pL0.5, was maximum at pH~10, whereas the presence of a chloride containing a supporting electrolyte exerted a negative effect. Among new generation biodegradable ligands, GLDA was the most efficient in Cd2+ sequestration.  相似文献

Lanthanide based single molecular magnets (SMMs), particularly dysprocenium based SIMs, are well known for their high energy barrier for spin reversal (Ueff) and blocking temperatures (TB). Enhancing these two parameters and at the same time obtaining ambient stability is key to realising end-user applications such as compact storage or as qubits in quantum computing. In this work, by employing an array of theoretical tools (DFT, ab initio CASSCF and molecular dynamics), we have modelled six complexes [(η5-corannulene)Dy(Cp)] (1), [(η5-corannulene)Dy(C6H6)] (2), [(η6-corannulene)Dy(Cp)] (3), [(η6-corannulene)Dy(C6H6)] (4), [(exo5-corannulene)Dy(endo5-corannulene)] (5), and [(endo5-corannulene)Dy(endo5-corannulene)] (6) containing corannulene as a capping ligand to stabilise Dy(iii) half-sandwich complexes. Our calculations predict a strong axiality exerted by the Dy–C interactions in all complexes. Ab initio calculations predict a very large barrier height for all six molecules in the order 1 (919 cm−1) ≈ 3 (913 cm−1) > 2 (847 cm−1) > 4 (608 cm−1) ≈ 5 (603 cm−1) ≈ 6 (599 cm−1), suggesting larger barrier heights for Cp ring systems, followed by six-membered arene systems and then corannulene. DFT based molecular dynamics calculations were performed on complexes 3, 5 and 6. For complexes 3 and 5, the geometries that are dynamically accessible are far fewer. The range of Ueff computed for molecular dynamics snapshots is high, indicating a possibility of translating the large Ueff obtained into attractive blocking temperatures in these complexes, but the converse is found for 6. Furthermore, an in-depth C–H bond vibrational analysis performed on complex 3 suggests that the vibration responsible for reducing the blocking temperature in dysprocenium SIMs is absent here as the C–H bonds are stronger and corannulene steric strain prevents the C(Cp)–Dy–C(Cor) bending. As [(η6-corannulene)TM(X)]+ (TM = Ru, Zr, Os, Rh, Ir and X = C5Me5, C6Me6) are known, the predictions made here have a higher prospect of yielding stability under ambient conditions, a very large Ueff value and a high blocking temperature – a life-giving combination to new generation SMMs.

Bringing half-sandwich Dy(iii) SIMs under the umbrella of corannulene was found to offer stability, greater barrier height and may offer higher blocking temperatures.  相似文献

Formation thermodynamics of binary and ternary lanthanide(III) (Ln = La, Ce, Nd, Eu, Gd, Dy, Tm, Lu) complexes with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and the chloride ion have been studied by titration calorimetry and spectrophotometry in N,N-dimethyl-formamide (DMF) containing 0.2 mol-dm–3 (C2H5)4NClO4 as a constant ionic medium at 25°C. In the binary system with 1,10-phenanthroline, the Ln(phen)3+ complex is formed for all the lanthanide(III) ions examined. The reaction enthalpy and entropy values for the formation of Ln(phen)3+ decrease in the order La > Ce > Nd, then increase in the order Nd < Eu < Gd < Dy, and again decrease in the order Dy > Tm > Lu. The variation is explained in terms of the coordination structure of Ln(phen)3+ that changes from eight to seven coordination with decreasing ionic radius of the metal ion. In the ternary Ln3+-Cl-phen system, the formation of LnCl(phen)2+, LnCl2(phen)+, and LnCl3(phen) was established for cerium(III), neodymium(III), and thulium(III), and their formation constants, enthalpies, and entropies were obtained. The enthalpy and entropy values are also discussed from the structural point of view.  相似文献

Neutral [Ru(η6-arene)Cl2{Ph2P(CH2)3SPh-κP}] (arene = benzene, indane, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene: 2a, 2c and 2d) and cationic [Ru(η6-arene)Cl(Ph2P(CH2)3SPh-κPS)]X complexes (arene = mesitylene, 1,4-dihydronaphthalene; X = Cl: 3b, 3e; arene = benzene, mesitylene, indane, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene, and 1,4-dihydronaphthalene; X = PF6: 4a–4e) complexes were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, 13C and 31P NMR spectroscopy and also by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. The stability of the complexes has been investigated in DMSO. Complexes have been assessed for their cytotoxic activity against 518A2, 8505C, A253, MCF-7 and SW480 cell lines. Generally, complexes exhibited activity in the lower micromolar range; moreover, they are found to be more active than cisplatin. For the most active ruthenium(II) complex, 4b, bearing mesitylene as ligand, the mechanism of action against 8505C cisplatin resistant cell line was determined. Complex 4b induced apoptosis accompanied by caspase activation.  相似文献

The luminescence method, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis are used to reveal that under optimal conditions (pH 5–8) Ln3+ ions (Ln = Pr, Sm, Eu, Nd, and Yb) with 1-(2-hydroxy-4-methylphenyl)-3-(5-methyl-1-phenyl-1 H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)propane-1,3-dione form complexes with the mole ratio Ln: ligand = 2: 3. According to the IR spectral data, Ln3+ ions coordinate three oxygen atoms of two carbonyl groups and one hydroxyl group. In the IR spectra of the complexes, an intense band at 628.7 cm?1 is assigned to the Ln-O bond vibrations. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the complexes contain no lines corresponding to the ligand. The luminescence intensity of the complexes in the visible spectral range changes in the series Eu(III) > Sm(III) > Pr(III), whereas in the IR region the order is Yb(III) > Nd(III). In all cases, luminescence of the solid complexes is considerably more intense than that of their solutions.  相似文献

A pair of cobalt(II)-based hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs), [Co(pca)2(bmimb)]n (1) and [Co2(pca)4(bimb)2] (2), where Hpca = p-chlorobenzoic acid, bmimb = 1,3-bis((2-methylimidazol-1-yl)methyl)benzene, and bimb = 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized through infrared spectroscopy (IR), elemental and thermal analysis (EA), power X-ray diffraction (PXRD), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) analyses. X-ray diffraction structural analysis revealed that 1 has a one-dimensional (1D) infinite chain network through the deprotonated pca monodentate chelation and with a μ2-bmimb bridge Co(II) atom, and 2 is a binuclear Co(II) complex construction with a pair of symmetry-related pca and bimb ligands. For both 1 and 2, each cobalt atom has four coordinated twisted tetrahedral configurations with a N2O2 donor set. Then, 1 and 2 are further extended into three-dimensional (3D) or two-dimensional (2D) hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks through C–H···Cl interactions. Topologically, HOFs 1 and 2 can be simplified as a 4-connected qtz topology with a Schläfli symbol {64·82} and a 4-connected sql topology with a Schläfli symbol {44·62}, respectively. The fluorescent sensing application of 1 was investigated; 1 exhibits high sensitivity recognition for Fe3+ (Ksv: 10970 M−1 and detection limit: 19 μM) and Cr2O72− (Ksv: 12960 M−1 and detection limit: 20 μM). This work provides a feasible detection platform of HOFs for highly sensitive discrimination of Fe3+ and Cr2O72− in aqueous media.  相似文献
