Some common fixed point theorems for two pairs of non-self mappings in complete metrically convex metric spaces are proved which generalize earlier results due to Khan et al. [11], Assad [2], Chatterjea [3] and several others. Some related results and illustrative examples are also discussed.  相似文献

A note on cone metric fixed point theory and its equivalence   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The main aim of this paper is to investigate the equivalence of vectorial versions of fixed point theorems in generalized cone metric spaces and scalar versions of fixed point theorems in (general) metric spaces (in usual sense). We show that the Banach contraction principles in general metric spaces and in TVS-cone metric spaces are equivalent. Our theorems also extend some results in Huang and Zhang (2007) [L.-G. Huang, X. Zhang, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1468-1476], Rezapour and Hamlbarani (2008) [Sh. Rezapour, R. Hamlbarani, Some notes on the paper Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 345 (2008) 719-724] and others.  相似文献

The Knaster-Kuratowski-Mazurkiewicz covering theorem (KKM), is the basic ingredient in the proofs of many so-called “intersection” theorems and related fixed point theorems (including the famous Brouwer fixed point theorem). The KKM theorem was extended from Rn to Hausdorff linear spaces by Ky Fan. There has subsequently been a plethora of attempts at extending the KKM type results to arbitrary topological spaces. Virtually all these involve the introduction of some sort of abstract convexity structure for a topological space, among others we could mention H-spaces and G-spaces. We have introduced a new abstract convexity structure that generalizes the concept of a metric space with a convex structure, introduced by E. Michael in [E. Michael, Convex structures and continuous selections, Canad. J. Math. 11 (1959) 556-575] and called a topological space endowed with this structure an M-space. In an article by Shie Park and Hoonjoo Kim [S. Park, H. Kim, Coincidence theorems for admissible multifunctions on generalized convex spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 197 (1996) 173-187], the concepts of G-spaces and metric spaces with Michael's convex structure, were mentioned together but no kind of relationship was shown. In this article, we prove that G-spaces and M-spaces are close related. We also introduce here the concept of an L-space, which is inspired in the MC-spaces of J.V. Llinares [J.V. Llinares, Unified treatment of the problem of existence of maximal elements in binary relations: A characterization, J. Math. Econom. 29 (1998) 285-302], and establish relationships between the convexities of these spaces with the spaces previously mentioned.  相似文献

In this paper, a kind of Ishikawa type iterative scheme with errors for approximating a common fixed point of two sequences of uniformly quasi-Lipschitzian mappings is introduced and studied in convex metric spaces. Under some suitable conditions, the convergence theorems concerned with the Ishikawa type iterative scheme with errors to approximate a common fixed point of two sequences of uniformly quasi-Lipschitzian mappings were proved in convex metric spaces. The results presented in the paper generalize and improve some recent results of Wang and Liu (C. Wang, L.W. Liu, Convergence theorems for fixed points of uniformly quasi-Lipschitzian mappings in convex metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal., TMA 70 (2009), 2067-2071).  相似文献

In this paper, a concept of monotone generalized contraction in partially ordered probabilistic metric spaces is introduced and some fixed and common fixed point theorems are proved. Presented theorems extend the results in partially ordered metric spaces of Nieto and Rodriguez-Lopez [Contractive mapping theorems in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Order 22 (2005) 223-239; Existence and uniqueness of fixed point in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Acta Math. Sin. (Engl. Ser.) 23 (2007) 2205-2212], Ran and Reurings [A fixed point theorem in partially ordered sets and some applications to matrix equations, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 132 (2004) 1435-1443] to a more general class of contractive type mappings in partially ordered probabilistic metric spaces and include several recent developments.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a notion of coincidence point between mappings in any number of variables and we prove some existence and uniqueness fixed point theorems for nonlinear mappings verifying different kinds of contractive conditions and defined on partially ordered metric spaces. These theorems extend and clarify very recent results that can be found in [T. Gnana-Bhaskar, V. Lakshmikantham, Fixed point theorems in partially ordered metric spaces and applications, Nonlinear Anal. 65 (7)(2006) 1379–1393], [V. Berinde, M. Borcut, Tripled fixed point theorems for contractive type mappings in partially ordered metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011) 4889–4897] and [M. Berzig, B. In this paper, we consider an implicit iteration process to approximate the common fixed points of two finite families of asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings in convex metric spaces. As a consequence of our result, we obtain some related convergence theorems. Our results generalize some recent results of Khan and Ahmed [4], Khan et al. [6], Sun [12], Wittmann [14] and Xu and Ori [15].  相似文献

In this paper, we show a relationship between strictly convexity of type (I) and (II) defined by Takahashi and Talman, and we prove that any uniformly convex metric space is strictly convex of type (II). Continuity of the convex structure is also shown on a compact domain. Then, we prove the existence of a minimum point of a convex, lower semicontinuous and d-coercive function defined on a nonempty closed convex subset of a complete uniformly convex metric space. By using this property, we prove fixed point theorems for (α, β)-generalized hybrid mappings in uniformly convex metric spaces. Using this result, we also obtain a common fixed point theorem for a countable commutative family of (α, β)-generalized hybrid mappings in uniformly convex metric spaces. Finally, we establish strong convergence of a Mann type iteration to a fixed point of (α, β)-generalized hybrid mapping in a uniformly convex metric space without assuming continuity of convex structure. Our results can be applied to obtain the existence and convergence theorems for (α, β)-generalized hybrid mappings in Hilbert spaces, uniformly convex Banach spaces and CAT(0) spaces.  相似文献

The purpose of the present paper is to establish coincidence point theorem for two mappings and fixed point theorem for one mapping in abstract metric space which satisfy contractive conditions of Hardy–Rogers type. Our results generalize fixed point theorems of Nemytzki [V.V. Nemytzki, Fixed point method in analysis, Uspekhi Mat. Nauk 1 (1936) 141–174], Edelstein [M. Edelstein, On fixed and periodic point under contractive mappings, J. Lond. Math. Soc. 37 (1962) 74–79] and Huang, Zhang [L.G. Huang, X. Zhang, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2) (2007) 1468–1476] from abstract metric spaces to symmetric spaces (Theorem 2.1) and to metric spaces (Theorem 2.4, Corollary 2.6, Corollary 2.7, Corollary 2.8). Two examples are given to illustrate the usability of our results.  相似文献

We introduce some notions of generalized nonlinear contractive maps and prove some fixed point results for such maps. Consequently, several known fixed point results are either improved or generalized including the corresponding recent fixed point results of Ciric [L.B. Ciric, Multivalued nonlinear contraction mappings, Nonlinear Anal. 71 (2009) 2716-2723], Klim and Wardowski [D. Klim, D. Wardowski, Fixed point theorems for set-valued contractions in complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 334 (2007) 132-139], Feng and Liu [Y. Feng, S. Liu, Fixed point theorems for multivalued contractive mappings and multivalued Caristi type mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 317 (2006) 103-112] and Mizoguchi and Takahashi [N. Mizoguchi, W. Takahashi, Fixed point theorems for multivalued mappings on complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 141 (1989) 177-188].  相似文献

We establish a geometric lemma giving a list of equivalent conditions for some subsets of the plane. As its application, we get that various contractive conditions using the so-called altering distance functions coincide with classical ones. We consider several classes of mappings both on metric spaces and ordered metric spaces. In particular, we show that unexpectedly, some very recent fixed point theorems for generalized contractions on ordered metric spaces obtained by Harjani and Sadarangani [J. Harjani, K. Sadarangani, Generalized contractions in partially ordered metric spaces and applications to ordinary differential equations, Nonlinear Anal. 72 (2010) 1188-1197], and Amini-Harandi and Emami [A. Amini-Harandi, H. Emami A fixed point theorem for contraction type maps in partially ordered metric spaces and application to ordinary differential equations, Nonlinear Anal. 72 (2010) 2238-2242] do follow from an earlier result of O’Regan and Petru?el [D. O’Regan and A. Petru?el, Fixed point theorems for generalized contractions in ordered metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 341 (2008) 1241-1252].  相似文献

In the paper “Coupled fixed point theorems for contractions in fuzzy metric spaces” by Sedghi et al. [S. Sedghi, I. Altun, N. Shobec, Coupled fixed point theorems for contractions in fuzzy metric spaces, Nonlinear Analysis 72 (2010) 1298-1304], a coupled common fixed point result was presented. However, our purpose is to show that this result and its proof are false. We give a counterexample and also explain how to correct this result. As a modification, we state and prove a coupled fixed point theorem under some hypotheses of fuzzy metric and t-norm.

We study the existence of fixed points in the context of uniformly convex geodesic metric spaces, hyperconvex spaces and Banach spaces for single and multivalued mappings satisfying conditions that generalize the concept of nonexpansivity. Besides, we use the fixed point theorems proved here to give common fixed point results for commuting mappings.  相似文献

On fuzzy metric spaces   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper we introduce the concept of a fuzzy metric space. The distance between two points in a fuzzy metric space is a non-negative, upper semicontinuous, normal and convex fuzzy number. Properties of fuzzy metric spaces are studied and some fixed point theorems are proved.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that a number of known fixed point theorems for the Fan-Browder type maps or acyclic maps defined on (subsets of) hyperconvex metric spaces are simple consequences of the previously known theorems for corresponding maps defined on generalized convex spaces.  相似文献

Huang and Zhang [L.-G. Haung, X. Zhang, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1468–1476] proved some fixed point theorems in cone metric spaces. In this work we prove some fixed point theorems in cone metric spaces, including results which generalize those from Haung and Zhang’s work. Given the fact that, in a cone, one has only a partial ordering, it is doubtful that their Theorem 2.1 can be further generalized. We also show that these maps have no nontrivial periodic points.  相似文献

Fixed points in intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The purpose of this paper, using the idea of intuitionistic fuzzy set due to Atanassov [Atanassov K. Intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Fuzzy Sets Syst 1986;20:87–96], we define the notion of intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces due to Kramosil and Michalek [Kramosil O, Michalek J. Fuzzy metric and statistical metric spaces. Kybernetika 1975;11:326–34]. Further the well-known fixed point theorems of Banach and Edelstein are extended to intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces with the help of Grabiec [Grabiec M. Fixed points in fuzzy metric spaces. Fuzzy Sets Syst 1988;27:385–9].  相似文献
