A number of π-extended conjugated tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) analogues were synthesized as new π-donors, and their structures and physical properties were determined. UV/Vis spectra and cyclic voltammetry of the π-extended ferrocenyl donors were studied in comparison with ferrocene, ferrocenylquinone, and the parent donor. A three-electron redox behaviour was observed. The absorption spectrum of the new donor 16 showed a slight red-shift and a slight increase in intensity relative to the compared compounds.  相似文献

Summary.   Kamlet-Taft’s α (hydrogen bond donor acidity) and π* (dipolarity/polarizability) values of various silica batches measured in various solvents are presented. The α and π* parameters for the various solid acids are analyzed by means of Fe(phen)2(CN)2 (cis-dicyano-bis-(1,10)-phenanthroline-iron(II), 1), Michler’s ketone (4,4′-bis-(dimethylamino)-benzophenone, 2), and two hydrophilic derivatives of 2, (4-(dimethylamino)-4′-(di-2-hydroxyethyl)-amino-benzophenone (3a) and 4,4′-bis-(di-(2-hydroxyethyl)-amino)-benzophenone (3b) as well as coumarin 153 (4) as solvatochromic surface polarity indicators. Apparent β (hydrogen bond acceptor basicity) parameters for bare silica have been evaluated by means of an aminobenzodifuranone dye (5) as solvatochromic probe. The chemical interpretation of the α and π* parameters and the nature of the solvent/surface interaction which they reflect are discussed. It can be shown that an increase of the HBA (hydrogen bond accepting) capacity of the solvent significantly decreases the HBD (hydrogen bond donating) capacity of the surface environment, whereas the dipolarity/polarizability value of the silica/solvent interface is a composite of many effects. The classification of the polarity of silica particles in organic solvents compared to pure liquids is outlined. Theoretical E T(30) values of the solid/solvent interfaces are calculated by applying linear solvation energy (LSE) relationships using the independently measured α and π* values of the solid acids according to Received February 2, 2001. Abstract

Copper(II) bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-κ2 O,O′) compounds with 2-pyridone (1) and 3-hydroxypyridine (2) were prepared by the reaction of bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-κ2 O,O′)copper(II) with selected ligands. The coordination of Cu(II) in both compounds is square pyramidal with the fifth coordination site occupied by the carbonyl oxygen atom of the 2-pyridone ligand in 1 and by the nitrogen atom of 3-hydroxypyridine in 2. The X-ray crystallographic studies revealed different crystal aggregation influenced by the ability of the 2-pyridone ligand to act as a hydrogen bond donor and acceptor, and 3-hydroxypyridine acting only as a hydrogen bond donor. Intermolecular N–H···O hydrogen bonding forms dimers in 1 and infinite chains in 2. Three-dimensional aggregation is achieved by π–π interactions and C–H···π (arene) hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

Summary. Equilibrium constants and molar extinction coefficients for 1:1 charge-transfer complexes between 2-hydroxyaniline (HA), 5-chloro-2-hydroxyaniline (CHA), and 4-bromo-2,6-dimethylaniline (BMA) as donors and iodine, as a typical σ-acceptor were determined spectrophotometrically in chloroform, dichloromethane, and carbontetrachloride solutions. Spectral characteristics and formation constants are discussed in terms of donor molecular structure and solvent polarity. The stoichiometry of the complexes was established to be 1:1. For this purpose, optical data were subjected to the form of the Rose-Drago equation for 1:1 equilibria. Electronic absorption spectra of the studied anilines were measured in different solvents. Spectral data were reported and band maxima were assigned to the appropriate molecular orbital transitions (π–π* and n–π* electronic transition). Solvent effects on the electronic transitions were discussed. Optimized geometry of the studied anilines was obtained at B3LYP/6-31 + G(d). The effect of the electronic factors of the substituents on the geometrical parameters of the ring has been explored. Geometrical values of the ring deviate from the regular hexagonal ring. Intramolecular H-bonds in HA and CHA have been computed at B3LYP/6-31 + G(d) and MP2/6-31 + G(d) levels. The H-bonding distance was calculated to be 2.105 ? in HA and 2.127 ? in CHA. Abstract  To explore the influence of the anthracene ring skeleton, with a large conjugated π-system, on the structures and properties of its complexes, two MnII complexes with anthracene-9-carboxylate ligand were synthesized and structurally characterized: {[Mn(L)2(H2O)2](H2O)} (1) and [Mn2(L)4(phen)2(μ-H2O)](CH3OH) (2) (L = anthracene-9-carboxylate and phen = 1,10-phenanthroline). Complex (1) has a one-dimensional (1D) chain structure that is further assembled to form a two-dimensional (2D) sheet, and then an overall three-dimensional (3D) network by π···π stacking and/or C–H···π interactions. Complex (2) makes a dinuclear structure by incorporating the chelating phen ligand, which is further interlinked via inter-molecular π···π stacking and C–H···π interactions to generate a higher-dimensional supramolecular network along the different crystallographic directions. The results reveal that the bulky anthracene ring skeleton in L, by virtue of intra- and/or inter-molecular π···π stacking and C–H···π interactions, plays an important role in the formation of complexes (1) and (2). The magnetic properties of (1) and (2) were further investigated. As expected, the very long inter-metallic separations result in weak magnetic coupling, with the corresponding coupling constant values of J = −10 cm−1 for (1) and J = −2.46 cm−1 for (2). Graphical abstract  The constructions of two new MnII complexes comprising 1D chain (1) and dinuclear subunit (2) structures have been successfully achieved by using a bulky anthracene-9-carboxylic acid (HL), together with incorporating the chelating 1,10-phenanthroline as a co-ligand for (2). The result reveals that the bulky anthracene ring skeleton of HL, by virtue of intra- and/or inter-molecular π···π stacking and C–H···π interactions, plays an important role in the formation of the supramolecular architectures of (1) and (2). Moreover, magnetic properties of the complexes have been investigated.   相似文献

Abstract  New ferrocenyl ketones were obtained as precursors of novel π-conjugated ferrocene-dithiafulvalene (Fc-DTF) and π-extended-ferrocenedithia-fulvalenes (π-exFc-DTF) as electron-donor conducting materials from ferrocene by a direct aroylation process using the Friedel–Crafts reaction. Novel Fc-DTF conjugates were synthesized using the Wittig–Horner reaction and their structures were determined. The redox behavior of the ferrocenyl carbonyl compounds Fc-DTF and Fc-π-exDTF was investigated in comparison to the parent ferrocene by means of cyclic voltammetry. A one-electron redox behavior was observed for carbonylferrocenes as one wave potential, while a two-electron process was observed as two oxidation waves for the conjugates. Introduction of electron-withdrawing groups led to increasing E pa values and decreasing ΔE p values. The UV–Vis spectra of some compounds were studied in comparison with ferrocene. The absorption spectra showed a red-shift with a slight increase in the absorption intensities. Graphical abstract     相似文献

Abstract

The crystal structures of valerophenone diperoxides trans-1 and cis-1 were elucidated by X-ray crystallographic analysis. The 1,2,4,5-tetraoxane rings of both compounds adopt chair conformations. Intermolecular CH···O hydrogen bond, π–π, and CH/π interactions exist in cis-1, whereas only CH/π interactions exist in trans-1. In the asymmetric unit of the crystal, a half molecule exists for trans-1, while one molecule for cis-1 which shows whole-molecule disorder. Solid-state photolysis (at 254 nm) or solution-state thermolysis (at 150 °C) of trans-1 and cis-1 produced valerophenone (2) and butyl benzoate (3). Rationalization of the solid-state photoreactivity of the diperoxides by their crystal structures was attempted.  相似文献

Summary.  The iron(III) complex of indole-3-acetic acid (1) was prepared, and its physicochemical properties, mode of iron(III) coordination, and electronic structure were studied using UV/Vis, diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT), and transmission 57Fe M?ssbauer spectroscopic techniques. The data obtained provide evidence that iron(III) is not only coordinated by the carboxylic O-donor atom, but also via the conjugated π-electronic system of the pyrrole moiety involving both the non-shared electronic pair of the heteroatom and the C(2)*C(3) double bond. Considering the well-known increased sensitivity of the pyrrole residue in indole derivatives to oxidation as compared to the benzene ring, as well as the formation of a triple complex (peroxidase-1-O2) proposed for the enzymatic 1 oxidative degradation mechanism involving as a key step the Fe3+ → Fe2+ transition in the enzyme form as discussed in literature, it is concluded that iron(III) coordination with 1 can influence the redox properties of the pyrrole ring by affecting its π-electronic system. Summary.  A series of methylene-expanded oxetanocin nucleoside analogues, e.g. analogues of 2 and the known antiviral nucleosides AZT, FLT, and ddC (3) were prepared by a very direct route beginning with the readily available (S )-glycidol 4 and proceeding via the dihydrofuran-3-methanols 9a,b. Biological testing of these modified nucleosides indicates that they are non-cytotoxic compounds with generally weak antiviral activity. However, the guanosine analogue 2G showed pronounced activity vs. herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) in cell culture and was HSV-1-encoded thymidine kinase dependent. This compound is therefore an interesting new lead structure for the development of new anti-HSV agents. Received September 3, 2001. Accepted September 17, 2001  相似文献

Summary.  The two new compounds Mn(dien)2[MoS4] (1) and Mn(dien)2[Mo2O2S6] (2) (dien = diethylenetriamine) were prepared under solvothermal conditions. Both compounds were obtained as phase-pure products. The structures consist of new [Mn(dien)2]2+ cations and isolated tetrahedral [MoS4]2− (1) or [Mo2O2S6]2− (2) anions. Between the anions and the cations, hydrogen bonding is observed. Compound 1 crystallizes in the tetragonal space group I (a = 10.219(2), c = 9.259(2) ?, Z = 2), whereas 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c (a = 8.703(2), b = 18.390(4), c = 14.603(3) ?, β = 103.18(3)°, Z = 4). The thermal behaviour of the thiomolybdates was investigated using difference thermoanalysis (DTA) and thermogravimetry (TG). Both compounds decompose under argon with a single endothermic signal in the DTA curve (peak maximum: 252 (1) and 242°C (2)). Received November 5, 2001. Accepted December 27, 2001  相似文献

The mono- and dinuclear Cu(I) complexes [CuI(PPh3)(pmtz)] (1) and [{Cu(PPh3)2}2(μ-pmtz)](ClO4)2 (2), where pmtz is 3-(2-pyrimidinyl)-1,2,4-triazine, have been synthesized and characterized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the pmtz acts as a bidentate ligand in complex 1, whereas in complex 2 the pmtz coordinates as a bis-bidentate chelate, assembling two identical {Cu(PPh3)2} moieties into a copper(I) dimer with a triple-decker sandwich structure involving phenyl/pmtz/phenyl π–π interactions. The UV–vis spectra of complexes 1 and 2 show low-energy absorptions at 350–550 nm, assigned to the Cu(I) to pmtz MLCT transition, probably mixed with some XLCT character for 1. The absorption of 2 is blue-shifted relative to that of 1 due to the substitution of the iodide of 1 with the π-acceptor ligand PPh3. Complexes 1 and 2 are non-emissive, both in solution and in the solid state, most likely owing to the electronic effects induced by the additional nitrogen donor of pmtz compared to 2,2′-bipyrimidine.  相似文献

Summary.  The electronic absorption and X-ray photoelectron spectra of N,N′-disalicylidenetrimethylenediaminatocopper(II) ([Cu(saltn)]) and N,N′-disalicylidene-trans-1,2-cyclohexanediaminatocopper(II) ([Cu(salchx)]) were measured. From these results and from informations derived from MO calculations the electronic structure of the complexes was clarified. Each electronic absorption band which can be assigned to the ππast; or ML/LMCT transition of [Cu(saltn)] or [Cu(salchx)] observed in the wavelength region of 450–200 nm appears at the almost same frequency as the corresponding band of N,N′-disalicylideneethylenediaminatocopper(II) ([Cu(salen)]) in solution. The LLCT bands (the intramolecular CT band between two π-electronic systems separated by saturated hydrocarbon chains such as ) also appear at nearly the same positions (ca. 245 nm) for [Cu(salchx)], [Cu(saltn)], and [Cu(salen)]. The locations of the dd transition and the intensity of the ML/LMCT transition of [Cu(saltn)] are significantly different from those of [Cu(salen)] and [Cu(salchx)]. These differences may arise from the strengths of the interaction between metal and ligand. Received August 21, 2001. Accepted (revised) October 20, 2001  相似文献

Abstract Sodium 4′-methoxy-5,6,7-trihydroxyisoflavone-3′-sulfonate (1) is synthesized by the sulfonation of 6-hydroxybiochanin A and its structure is characterized by elemental analysis, 1H-NMR, and IR spectroscopy. It is assembled with cobalt(II) or zinc(II), hexaquacobalt(II) bis(4′-methoxy-5,6,7-trihydroxyisoflavone-3′-sulfonate) tetrahydrate (2) and hexaquazinc(II) bis(4′-methoxy-5,6,7-trihydroxyisoflavone-3′-sulfonate) tetrahydrate (3) are obtained and characterized by IR spectroscopy. Simultaneously, their three-dimensional structures are determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. It turns out that 2 and 3 are isomorphous and crystallize in the triclinic crystal system, space group P-1. Hydrophilic regions are defined by O–H···O hydrogen bonds involving the coordinated water molecules, the included water molecules, and sulfonate groups. Aromatic π...π stacking interactions assemble the isoflavone skeletons into columns and these columns formed hydrophobic regions. The sulfonate group is an important bridge as a structural link between the hydrophilic regions and the hydrophobic regions. Hydrogen bonds, π...π stacking interactions and the electrostatic interactions assemble 2 and 3 into three-dimensional network structures. Summary.  A simple and rapid derivative spectrophotometric assay procedure is described for the analysis of caffeine (1), acetaminophen (2), and propyphenazone (3) in tablet formulations. The concentration range of application is 5.0–25.0 μg·cm−3 for 2 and 3 and 1.0–5.0 μg·cm−3 for 1. The method involves the extraction of the drugs from tablets with 0.1 N H2SO4, filtration, appropriate dilution, and measurement of the fourth derivative absorbance values at zero crossing wavelengths of 230.0, 263.2, and 256.6 nm for 1, 2, and 3. As a reference method, a reversed phase HPLC procedure was developed. Commercially available tablets were analyzed; statistical comparison of the results with those obtained from the reference method showed good agreement. The derivative spectrophotometric method has the advantage of being simple, rapid, inexpensive, and easy to perform. Received April 18, 2001. Accepted (revised) June 5, 2001  相似文献

Spectroscopic methods and theoretical calculations were used to study the photophysical properties of colchicine (1). The characteristic bands of colchicine (1) transitions occurring at ∼245 nm and 350 nm arise from n–π * and ππ * transitions, and were found to be blue shifted with increasing polarity index of the solvent and red shifted (bathocrhomic) with increasing acidity of the media. Solvent type and polarity were found to affect both the rate constant and photo conversion yield. Excitation of colchicine (1) at 366 nm populates the S1 orbital, from which the photoreaction of colchicine (1) initially produces lumicolchicine directly in its ground state by a concerted disrotatory electrocyclization (i.e., 4π electrocyclization involving the tropolone ring). The acidity of the media affects both rate constants and conversion yield; both of these were inversely proportional to the acid concentration. The presence of acid decreases the photo conversion yield of colchicine (1) from 90% to 40%. The ionic strength affects both the rate constants and the photo conversion yield; rate constants are inversely related to the ionic strength. The photochemistry of colchicine (1) is explained on the basis of the initial formation of a solvation complex in the ground state.  相似文献

After the separation of the donor, the acceptor, and the σ-type bridge from the π-σ-π system, the geometries of biphenyl, biphenyl anion radical, naphthalene, and naphthalene anion radical are optimized, and then the reorganization energy for the intermolecular electron transfer (ET) at the levels of HF/4-31G and HF/DZP is calculated. The ET matrix elements of the self-exchange reactions of theπ-σ-π systems have been calculated by means of both the direct calculation based on the variational principle, and the transition energy between the molecular orbitals at the linear coordinateR = 0.5. For the cross reactions, the ET matrix element and the geometry of the transition state are determined by searching the minimum energy splitting Δmin along the reaction coordinate. In the evaluation of the solvent reorganization energy of the ET in solution, the Marcus’ two- sphere model has been invoked. A few of ET rate constants for the intramolecular ET reactions for the π-σ-π systems, which contain the biphenylyl as the donor and both biphenylyl and naphthyl as the acceptor, have been obtained. Intramolecular metal-ligand OH/π (MLOH/π) and metal-ligand NH/π (MLNH/π) interactions in transition metal complexes between aqua or ammine ligand and ligand containing a C6-aromatic ring were investigated in crystal structures deposited in the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD). These intramolecular interactions appear in 38 structures with aqua ligand as the hydrogen atom donor and in 10 structures with ammine ligand as the hydrogen atom donor. Among all these complexes only one is negatively charged, 14 are positively charged and 33 are neutral indicating that the overall charge of the molecule has an influence on the XH/π (X = O or N) interactions. Energy estimated by DFT calculations is approximately 19 kJ mol−1 for the MLOH/π interactions and approximately 15 kJ mol−1 for the MLNH/π interactions. Two new mono- and dinuclear Cu(II) complexes, namely [CuL1]·0.5H2O (1) and [(Cu2(L2)2)(DMF)]·0.5DMF (2) (H2L1 = 1,2-bis{[(Z)-(3-methyl-5-oxo-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazolidin-4(4H)-yl)(phenyl)]methylene-aminooxy}ethane; H2L2 = 1,3-bis{[(Z)-(3-methyl-5-oxo-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazolidin-4(4H)-yl)(phenyl)] methyleneaminooxy}propane), have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The unit cell of complex 1 contains two crystallographically independent but chemically identical [CuL1] molecules and one crystalline water molecule, showing a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry and forming a wave-like pattern running along the a-axis via hydrogen bonding and π···π stacking interactions. Complex 2 has a dinuclear structure, comprising two Cu(II) atoms, two completely deprotonated phenolate bisoxime (L2)2− moieties (in the form of enol), and both coordinated and hemi-crystalline DMF molecules. Complex 2 has square-planar and square-pyramidal geometries around the two copper centers, whose basic coordination planes are almost perpendicular and form an infinite three-dimensional supramolecular network structure involving intermolecular C–H···N, C–H···O, and C–H···π(Ph) hydrogen bonding and π···π stacking interactions of neighboring pyrazole rings.  相似文献
