In a recent article [Physics Letters A 372 (2008) 417], Wang et al. proposed a method, which is called the (G′/G)-expansion method, to look for travelling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. The travelling wave solutions involving parameters of the KdV equation, the mKdV equation, the variant Boussinesq equations, and the Hirota-Satsuma equations are obtained by using this method. They think the (G′/G)-expansion method is a new method and more travelling wave solutions of many nonlinear evolution equations can be obtained. In this paper, we will show that the (G′/G)-expansion method is equivalent to the extended tanh function method.  相似文献

We describe the Jacobi elliptic function method for finding exact periodic wave solutions to nonlinear evolution equations.We present a Maple packaged automated Jacobi elliptic function method,which can entirely automatically output the exact periodic wave solutions.The effectiveness of the automated Jacobi elliptic function method is demonstrated using as examples the spplication to a variety of equations with physical interest.Not only are the previously known solutions recovered but in some cases new solutions and more general forms of solutions are obtained.  相似文献

One of the advantages of the variational iteration method is the free choice of initial guess. In this paper we use the basic idea of the Jacobian-function method to construct a generalized trial function with some unknown parameters. The Jaulent-Miodek equations are used to illustrate effectiveness and convenience of this method, some new explicit exact travelling wave solutions have been obtained, which include bell-type soliton solution, kink-type soliton solutions, solitary wave solutions, and doubly periodic wave solutions.  相似文献

An extended mapping deformation method is proposed for finding new exact travelling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs). The key idea of this method is to take full advantage of the simple algebraic mapping relation between the solutions of the PDEs and those of the cubic nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation. This is applied to solve a system of variant Boussinesq equations. As a result, many explicit and exact solutions are obtained, including solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions, Jacobian elliptic function solutions and other exact solutions.  相似文献

Based on a type of elliptic equation,a new algebraic method to construct a series of exact solutions for nonlinear evolution equations is proposed,meanwhile,its complete implementation TRWS in Maple is presented.The TRWS can output a series of travelling wave solutions entirely automatically,which include polynomial solutions,exponential function solutions,triangular function solutions,hyperbolic function solutions,rational function solutions,Jacobi elliptic function solutions,and Weierstrass elliptic function solutions.The effectiveness of the package is illustrated by applying it to a variety of equations.Not only are previously known solutions recovered but also new solutions and more general form of solutions are obtained.  相似文献

The deformation mapping method is applied to solve a system of (2+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equations. Many types of explicit and exact travelling plane wave solutions, which contain solitary wave solutions,periodic wave solutions,Jacobian elliptic function solutions and others exact solutions, are obtained by a simple algebraic transformation relation between the (2+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation and the cubic nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation.  相似文献

A generalized F-expansion method is introduced and applied to (3+1 )-dimensional Kadomstev-Petviashvili(KP) equation. As a result, some new Jacobi elliptic function solutions of the equation are found, from which the trigonometric function solutions and the solitary wave solutions can be obtained. Poschl-Teller double-ring-shaped Coulomb (PTDRSC) potential, the Coulomb potential surrounded by PSschl- Teller and double-ring-shaped inversed square potential, is put forward. In spherical polar coordinates, PTDRSC potential has supersymmetry and shape invariance in φ,θ and τ coordinates. By using the method of supersymmetry and shape invariance, exact bound state solutions of Schr6dinger equation with PTDRSC potential are presented. The normalized φ,θ angular wave function expressed in terms of Jacobi polynomials and the normalized radial wave function expressed in terms of Laguerre polynomials are presented. Energy spectrum equations are obtained. Wave function and energy spectrum equations of the system are related to three quantum numbers and parameters of PTDRSC potential. The solutions of wave functions and corresponding eigenvalues are only suitable for the PTDRSC potential.  相似文献

A Weierstrass elliptic function expansion method and its algorithm are developed in this paper. The method changes the problem solving nonlinear evolution equations into another one solving the corresponding system of nonlinear algebraic equations. With the aid of symbolic computation (e.g. Maple), the method is applied to the combined KdV-mKdV equation and (2 1)-dimensional coupled Davey-Stewartson equation. As a consequence, many new types of doubly periodic solutions are obtained in terms of the Weierstrass elliptic function. Jacobi elliptic function solutions and solitary wave solutions are also given as simple limits of doubly periodic solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct exact solutions for the (2+1)-dimensional Boiti-Leon-Pempinelle equation by using the (G′/G)-expansion method, and with the help of Maple. As a result, non-travelling wave solutions with three arbitrary functions are obtained including hyperbolic function solutions, trigonometric function solutions, and rational solutions. Using expansions in terms of the Jacobi elliptic cosine function and third Jacobi elliptic function, some new periodic solutions to the generalized Hirota-Satsuma coupled KdV system are obtained with the help of the algorithm Mathematica. These periodic solutions are also reduced to the bell-shaped solitary wave solutions and kink-shape solitary solutions. As special cases, we obtain new periodic solution, bell-shaped and kink-shaped solitary solutions to the well-known Hirota-Satsuma equations.  相似文献

Based on a new intermediate transformation, a variable-coeFficient hyperbola function method is proposed.Being concise and straightforward, it is applied to the (2 1)-dimensional variable-coeFficient Broer-Kaup system. As a result, several new families of exact soliton-like solutions are obtained, besides the travelling wave. When imposing some conditions on them, the new exact solitary wave solutions of the (2 1)-dimensional Broer Kaup system are given. Põschl--Teller double-ring-shaped Coulomb (PTDRSC) potential, the Coulomb potential surrounded by Põschl--Teller and double-ring-shaped inversed square potential, is put forward. With the aid of computerized symbolic computation, an improved F-expansion method is presented to uniformly construct more new exact doubly periodic solutions in terms of rational formal Jscobi elliptic function of nonlinear partial differential equations (NPDFs). The coupled Drinfel'd-Sokolov-Wilson equation is chosen to illustrate the method. As a result, we can successfully obtain abundant new doubly periodic solutions without calculating various Jacobi elliptic functions. Abstract In terms of the solutions of an auxiliary ordinary differential equation, a new algebraic method, which contains the terms of first-order derivative of functions f (ξ), is constructed to explore the new solitary wave solutions for nonlinear evolution equations. The method is applied to a compound KdV-Burgers equation, and abundant new solitary wave solutions are obtained.
