The stability of discrete-time systems with time varying delay in the state can be analyzed by using a discrete-time extension of the classical Lyapunov–Krasovskii approach. In the networked control systems domain a similar delay stability problem is treated using a switched system transformation approach. The paper aims to establish a relation between the switched system transformation approach and the classical Lyapunov–Krasovskii method. It is shown that using the switched systems transformation is equivalent to using a general delay dependent Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals. This functional represents the most general form that can be obtained using sums of quadratic terms. Necessary and sufficient LMI conditions for the existence of such functionals are presented.  相似文献

The linear problem of the optimal control of systems in which the input signals contain a time delay is considered. The method of realizing optimal feedback control that is proposed is based on a special procedure for correcting the current optimal programme controls, realized by an optimal controller using a dual linear programming method. The resonance and chaos of micro (nano) electro mechanical resonators with time delay feedback is concerned in the paper. Based on the experimental results, a lumped single degree-of-freedom (1DOF) model is studied and the effects of time delay displacement and velocity feedback on the system are investigated. In order to have a deep insight into the system, the amplitude frequency response curve of the system is firstly obtained using the multiple scales method. The Melnikov function method is then extended to the two time delay systems, and the analytically required condition for chaos was obtained. Finally, the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method, point-mapping method and spectrum diagram are used to simulate the evolution of the dynamic behavior of the time delay control system. Also, the stability of this time delay control system is studied thoroughly. The results show that time delay feedback is a good method for the control system and that reasonable selection of control system parameters can effectively suppress the vibration level for micro/nano-electro-mechanical resonator systems.  相似文献

The present article aims to study the projective synchronization between two identical and non?identical time?delayed chaotic systems with fully unknown parameters. Here the asymptotical and global synchronization are achieved by means of adaptive control approach based on Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional theory. The proposed technique is successfully applied to investigate the projective synchronization for the pairs of time?delayed chaotic systems amongst advanced Lorenz system as drive system with multiple delay Rössler system and time?delayed Chua's oscillator as response system. An adaptive controller and parameter update laws for unknown parameters are designed so that the drive system is controlled to be the response system. Numerical simulation results, depicted graphically, are carried out using Runge–Kutta Method for delay?differential equations, showing that the design of controller and the adaptive parameter laws are very effective and reliable and can be applied for synchronization of time?delayed chaotic systems. In this paper, we study the qualitative properties of linear and nonlinear delay switched systems which have stable and unstable subsystems. First, we prove some inequalities which lead to the switching laws that guarantee: (a) the global exponential stability to linear switched delay systems with stable and unstable subsystems; (b) the local exponential stability of nonlinear switched delay systems with stable and unstable subsystems. In addition, these switching laws indicate that if the total activation time ratio among the stable subsystems, unstable subsystems and time delay is larger than a certain number, the switched systems are exponentially stable for any switching signals under these laws. 研究了Duffing-Van der Pol振子的主参数共振响应及其时滞反馈控制问题.依平均法和对时滞反馈控制项Taylor展开的截断得到的平均方程表明,除参数激励的幅值和频率外,零解的稳定性只与原方程中线性项的系数和线性反馈有关,但周期解的稳定性还与原方程中非线性项的系数和非线性反馈有关.通过调整反馈增益和时滞,可以使不稳定的零解变得稳定.非零周期解可能通过鞍结分岔和Hopf分岔失去稳定性,但选择合适的反馈增益和时滞,可以避免鞍结分岔和Hopf分岔的发生.数值仿真的结果验证了理论分析的正确性.  相似文献

The unknown time delay makes the control design a difficult task. When the lower and upper bounds of an unknown time delay of dynamical systems are specified, one can design a supervisory control that switches among a set of controls designed for the sampled time delays in the given range so that the closed-loop system is stable and the control performance is maintained at a desirable level. In this paper, we propose to design a supervisory control to stabilize the system first. After the supervisory control converges, we start an algorithm to identify the unknown time delay, either on-line or off-line, with the known control being implemented. Examples are shown to demonstrate the stabilization and identification for linear time invariant and periodic systems with a single control time delay.  相似文献

This article addresses the synchronization of nonlinear master–slave systems under input time‐delay and slope‐restricted input nonlinearity. The input nonlinearity is transformed into linear time‐varying parameters belonging to a known range. Using the linear parameter varying (LPV) approach, applying the information of delay range, using the triple‐integral‐based Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and utilizing the bounds on nonlinear dynamics of the nonlinear systems, nonlinear matrix inequalities for designing a simple delay‐range‐dependent state feedback control for synchronization of the drive and response systems is derived. The proposed controller synthesis condition is transformed into an equivalent but relatively simple criterion that can be solved through a recursive linear matrix inequality based approach by application of cone complementary linearization algorithm. In contrast to the conventional adaptive approaches, the proposed approach is simple in design and implementation and is capable to synchronize nonlinear oscillators under input delays in addition to the slope‐restricted nonlinearity. Further, time‐delays are treated using an advanced delay‐range‐dependent approach, which is adequate to synchronize nonlinear systems with either higher or lower delays. Furthermore, the resultant approach is applicable to the input nonlinearity, without using any adaptation law, owing to the utilization of LPV approach. A numerical example is worked out, demonstrating effectiveness of the proposed methodology in synchronization of two chaotic gyro systems. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper studies scaled-based practical consensus issue for multiagent systems with input time delay by a fully continuous communication-free integral-type event-triggered scheme. By choosing the proper scales, scaled consensus can be induced to synchronization, bipartite consensus or cluster consensus. By defining a continuous communication-free measurement error for the integral-type event-triggered mechanism, the new integral-type event-triggered condition is proposed which can not only reduce the energy consumption but also prolong the interevent time. Then, with time domain analysis method, the distributed integral-type event-triggered control problem for nonlinear general multiagent systems involving input time delay is investigated and then the second-order counterpart, with a calculated upper-bound for time-delay. Moreover, it is concluded that with such event-triggered protocols, practical scaled consensus can be achieved without the exhibition of Zeno behavior. This paper investigates impulsive stabilization of stochastic delay differential equations. Both moment and almost sure exponential stability criteria are established using the Lyapunov–Razumikhin method. It is shown that an unstable stochastic delay system can be successfully stabilized by impulses. The results can be easily applied to stochastic systems with arbitrarily large delays. An example with its numerical simulation is presented to illustrate the main results.  相似文献

We propose an optimization-based scheme for parameter estimation in high-dimensional chaotic systems, and the symbolic time series analysis (STSA) based method is adopted to address the estimation problem. It is shown that, when the system structure and the corresponding time series are known, the STSA-based method works better with respect to the autocorrelation function (ACF) and the mutual information (MI) technologies. Most importantly, the time delay and the feedback strength of two test systems, i.e., the Mackey–Glass system and an external-cavity semiconductor laser system, can be successfully identified using the proposed scheme. To explore the noise immunity, the influence of certain levels of noise on the STSA-based method is tested.  相似文献

In this study estimation of parameters and states in stochastic linear and nonlinear delay differential systems with time-varying coefficients and constant delay is explored. The approach consists of first employing a continuous time approximation to approximate the stochastic delay differential equation with a set of stochastic ordinary differential equations. Then the problem of parameter estimation in the resulting stochastic differential system is represented as an optimal filtering problem using a state augmentation technique. By adapting the extended Kalman–Bucy filter to the resulting system, the unknown parameters of the time-delayed system are estimated from noise-corrupted, possibly incomplete measurements of the states.  相似文献

A nonlinear mathematical model to study the effect of time delay in the recruitment of infected persons on the transmission dynamics of HIV/AIDS is proposed and analyzed. In modeling the dynamics, the population is divided into four subclasses: the susceptibles, the HIV positives or infectives that do not know they are infected, the HIV positives that know they are infected and the AIDS patients. Susceptibles are assumed to become infected via sexual contacts with (both types of) infectives. The model is analyzed using stability theory of delay differential equations. Both the disease-free and the endemic equilibria are found and their stability is investigated. It is shown that the introduction of time delay in the model has a destabilizing effect on the system and periodic solutions can arise by Hopf bifurcation. Numerical simulations are also carried out to investigate the influence of key parameters on the spread of the disease, to support the analytical conclusion and to illustrate possible behavioral scenario of the model.  相似文献

We present a mechanism for synchronizing time delay systems using one way coupling with a variable delay in coupling that is reset at finite intervals. We present the analysis of the error dynamics that helps to isolate regions of stability of the synchronized state in the parameter space of interest for single and multiple delays. We supplement this by numerical simulations in a standard time delay system like Mackey Glass system. This method has the advantage that it can be adjusted to be delay or anticipatory in synchronization with a time which is independent of the system delay. We demonstrate the use of this method in communication using the bi channel scheme. We show that since the synchronizing channel carries information from transmitter only at intervals of reset time, it is not susceptible to an easy reconstruction.  相似文献

An eco-epidemiological delay model is proposed and analysed for virally infected, toxin producing phytoplankton (TPP) and zooplankton system. It is shown that time delay can destabilize the otherwise stable non-zero equilibrium state. The coexistence of all species is possible through periodic solutions due to Hopf bifurcation. In the absence of infection the delay model may have a complex dynamical behavior which can be controlled by infection. Numerical simulation suggests that the proposed model displays a wide range of dynamical behaviors. Different parameters are identified that are responsible for chaos.  相似文献

The Beddington–DeAngelis ratio dependent prey predator model with time delay has been discussed. The existence of Hopf bifurcation has been established. The numerical simulations have shown that seasonal growth and delay can give rise to variety of attractors including periodic, quasi-periodic as well as chaotic oscillations. The degree of complexity in the system increases with increase in magnitude of delay, or frequency of seasonal variation. The model parameters involved in functional response can also affect the complexity of the system.  相似文献

Recent manipulations on vertebrates showed that the fear of preda- tors, caused by prey after they perceived predation risk, could reduce the prey''s reproduction greatly. And it''s known that predator-prey systems with fear ef- fect exhibit very rich dynamics. On the other hand, incorporating the time delay into predator-prey models could also induce instability and oscillations via Hopf bifurcation. In this paper, we are interested in studying the com- bined effects of the fear effect and time delay on the dynamics of the classic Lotka-Volterra predator-prey model. It''s shown that the time delay can cause the stable equilibrium to become unstable, while the fear effect has a stabi- lizing effect on the equilibrium. In particular, the model loses stability when the delay varies and then regains its stability when the fear effect is stronger. At last, by using the normal form theory and center manifold argument, we derive explicit formulas which determine the stability and direction of periodic solutions bifurcating from Hopf bifurcation. Numerical simulations are carried to explain the mathematical conclusions.  相似文献

In this study, a parameter identification approach for identifying the parameters of a periodic delayed system with distributed delay is introduced based on time series analysis and spectral element analysis. Using this approach the parameters of the distributed delayed system can be identified from the time series of the response of the system. The experimental or numerical data of the response is examined with Floquet theory and time series analysis techniques to estimate a reduced order dynamics, or truncated state space to identify the Floquet multipliers. Parameter identification is then completed using a dynamic map developed for the assumed model of the system which can relate the Floquet multipliers to the unknown parameters in the model. The parameter identification technique is validated numerically for first and second order delay differential equations with distributed delay.  相似文献
