Analytical applications of biacetyl bis(4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazone) and bipyridylglyoxal bis(4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazone)

This paper is a continuation of the study and applications of biacetyl bis(4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazone) (BBPT) and bipyridylglyoxal bis(4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazone) (BGPT). A number of spectrophotometric determinations have been carried out. BBPT is suggested as a reagent for the extractive spectrophotometric determination of cadmium and bismuth. The formation of heteropolinuclear cobalt-BGPT-nickel and copper-BGPT-nickel complexes at acid pH have been reported.

采用ODS-C18色谱柱和紫外检测器,对2-甲基-4-羟基-6-苯基嘧啶和2-甲基-4-羟基-5-溴-6-苯基嘧啶的含量进行HPLC分离测定.以甲醇水=4555为流动相,紫外检测波长为237 nm,样品线性范围为0.001～0.1 mg/mL.2-甲基-4-羟基-6-苯基嘧啶的RSD为0.5%;2-甲基-4-羟基-5-溴-6-苯基嘧啶的RSD为1.0%.     

Analytical properties of bipyridylglyoxal bis(4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazone)

The synthesis and analytical properties of bipyridylglyoxal bis(4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazone) are described. The solubility, spectral characteristics and pK values are reported, as well as the absorptivity and stoichiometric ratio of metal chelates formed.

Preparation of 3(5)-phenyl-1-hydroxypyrazole 2-oxide and 4-methyl-3(5)-phenyl-1-hydroxypyrazole 2-oxide

Nitrosation of acrylophenone oxime or of methacrylophenone oxime with n-butyl nitrite in the presence of pyridine and copper(II) sulfate gives the copper complexes of the title compounds. The free 1-hydroxypyrazole 2 -oxides are isolated by treating the copper complexes with dilute sodium hydroxide, filtration, and acidification of the basic filtrates. The title compounds are the first examples of 1-hydroxypyrazole 2 -oxides in which the C3(5) ring position is unsubstituted.     

Synthesis of 4-(4-phenyl-3-pyrazolyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazoles

4-(4-PhenyI-3-pyrazolyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazoles and 4-phenyl-5-(4H-1,2,4-triazol4-yl)-3-pyrazolols were prepared by the reaction of formylhydrazine on α-phenyl-α-cyanoacetaldehydes and ethyl α-phenyl-α-cyanoacetates.
