In this paper, we consider completely generalized nonlinear quasi-variational-like inclusions in Banach spaces and propose an Ishikawa type iterative algorithm for computing their approximate solutions by applying the new notion of Jη-proximal mapping given in [R. Ahmad, A.H. Siddiqi, Z. Khan, Proximal point algorithm for generalized multi-valued nonlinear quasi-variational-like inclusions in Banach spaces, Appl. Math. Comput. 163 (2005) 295–308]. We prove that the approximate solutions obtained by the proposed algorithm converge to the exact solution of our quasi-variational-like inclusions. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results of [R. Ahmad, A.H. Siddiqi, Z. Khan, Proximal point algorithm for generalized multi-valued nonlinear quasi-variational-like inclusions in Banach spaces, Appl. Based on the very recent work by Censor and Segal (2009) [1], and inspired by Xu (2006) [9], Zhao and Yang (2005) [10], and Bauschke and Combettes (2001) [2], we introduce and analyze an algorithm for solving the split common fixed-point problem for the wide class of quasi-nonexpansive operators in Hilbert spaces. Our results improve and develop previously discussed feasibility problems and related algorithms.  相似文献

Under a weak compactness assumption on the functions involved, which always holds in finite-dimensional normed linear spaces, this paper extends various characterizations of the nonemptiness and boundedness of weakly efficient solution sets of convex vector optimization problems, obtained previously by the author (Deng in J. We present a novel approach, within the new paradigm of isogeometric analysis introduced by Hughes et al. (2005) [6], to deal with advection dominated advection-diffusion problems. The key ingredient is the use of Galerkin approximating spaces of functions with high smoothness, as in IgA based on classical B-splines, but particularly well suited to describe sharp layers involving very strong gradients.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the generalization of Darbo’s fixed point theorem, we establish the existence of global solutions of an initial value problem for a class of second-order impulsive integro-differential equations of mixed type in a real Banach space. Our results generalize and improve on the results of Guo et al. [F. Guo, L.S. Liu, Y.H. Wu, P. Siew, Global solutions of initial value problems for nonlinear second-order impulsive integro-differential equations of mixed type in Banach spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 61 (2005) 1363–1382] in the sense that the conditions for existence of global solution in our theorem is simpler and less strict. To demonstrate the application of the theorem, we give the global solutions of two mixed boundary value problems for two classes of fourth order impulsive integro-differential equations.  相似文献

The notion of the Orlicz space is generalized to spaces of Banach-space valued functions. A well-known generalization is based on N-functions of a real variable. We consider a more general setting based on spaces generated by convex functions defined on a Banach space. We study some properties of pretangent spaces describing the infinitesimal geometry of general metric spaces. The necessary and sufficient conditions characterizing Ptolemaic pretangent spaces and pretangent spaces, where every three points are situated “on a single straight line,” are found. As a corollary, we obtain a criterion of embeddability of pretangent spaces into the set ℝ of real numbers endowed by the natural metric.  相似文献

Inverse function theorems for smooth nonlinear maps defined on convex cones in Banach spaces in a neighborhood of an irregular point are considered. The corresponding covering theorem is proved. The proofs are based on a Banach open mapping theorem for convex cones in Banach spaces, which is also proved in the paper. This article is a continuation of a paper of the first author [V. Ferenczi, Uniqueness of complex structure and real hereditarily indecomposable Banach spaces, Adv. Math. 213 (1) (2007) 462–488] about complex structures on real Banach spaces. We define a notion of even infinite-dimensional real Banach space, and prove that there exist even spaces, including HI or unconditional examples from [V. Ferenczi, Uniqueness of complex structure and real hereditarily indecomposable Banach spaces, Adv. Math. 213 (1) (2007) 462–488] and C(K) examples due to Plebanek [G. Plebanek, A construction of a Banach space C(K) with few operators, Topology Appl. 143 (2004) 217–239]. We extend results of [V. Ferenczi, Uniqueness of complex structure and real hereditarily indecomposable Banach spaces, Adv. Math. 213 (1) (2007) 462–488] relating the set of complex structures up to isomorphism on a real space to a group associated to inessential operators on that space, and give characterizations of even spaces in terms of this group. We also generalize results of [V. Ferenczi, Uniqueness of complex structure and real hereditarily indecomposable Banach spaces, Adv. Math. 213 (1) (2007) 462–488] about totally incomparable complex structures to essentially incomparable complex structures, while showing that the complex version of a space defined by S. Argyros and A. Manoussakis [S. Argyros, A. Manoussakis, An indecomposable and unconditionally saturated Banach space, Studia Math. 159 (1) (2003) 1–32] provides examples of essentially incomparable complex structures which are not totally incomparable.  相似文献

A notion of real compactness for completely biregular bi-T2 ditopological texture spaces is defined and studied under the name real dicompactness. In particular it is shown that real dicompact spaces are nearly plain ∗-spaces, and an important characterization is presented. Finally the connection of this work with topological and bitopological real compactness is discussed in a categorical setting.  相似文献

We consider how properties of the bonding maps of the inverse spectrum determine properties of the inverse limit. Specifically, we study the limits of inverse spectra of finite T0-spaces with bonding maps which are either chaining or normalizing. We will show that if the bonding maps are normalizing, then the inverse limit is a normal T0-space, and therefore, its Hausdorff reflection is its subset of specialization minimal elements. If the maps are chaining, then the inverse limit is a completely normal spectral space; such spaces have been studied since they include the real spectra of commutative rings [C.N. Delzell, J.J. Madden, J. Algebra 169 (1994) 71], and the prime spectrum of a ring of functions, Spec(C(X)). The existence and importance of this class of non-Hausdorff, normal topological spaces was extremely surprising to us. Further, each of these results is reversible; if the inverse limit is normal, then each space in the spectrum is preceded by one whose bonding map to it is normalizing. By way of contrast, the inverse limit of finite T0-spaces with separating bonding maps need not be a normal topological space (Example 3.8(a)) and furthermore, if the spaces of the inverse spectrum are normal, then the Hausdorff reflection of the limit must be zero-dimensional (Theorem 3.15).  相似文献
