Let G be a finite subgroup of GLn() acting naturally on an affine space n. In this note we will determine G such that the quotient variety n/G is a complete intersection. For n=2 and 3, such a group G was classified in [13, 24, 32].  相似文献

We show that the bi-Lipschitz equivalence of analytic function germs (2, 0)(, 0) admits continuous moduli. More precisely, we propose an invariant of the bi-Lipschitz equivalence of such germs that varies continuously in many analytic families f t : (2, 0)(, 0). For a single germ f the invariant of f is given in terms of the leading coefficients of the asymptotic expansions of f along the branches of generic polar curve of f.  相似文献

In this paper we establish two results concerning algebraic (,+)-actions on n . First, let be an algebraic (,+)-action on 3. By a result of Miyanishi, its ring of invariants is isomorphic to [t 1,t 2]. Iff 1,f 2 generate this ring, the quotient map of is the mapF:32,x(f 1(x), f2(x)). By using some topological arguments we prove thatF is always surjective. Secon, we are interested in dominant polynomial mapsF: n n-1 whose connected components of their generic fibers are contractible. For such maps, we prove the existence of an algebraic (,+)-action on n for whichF is invariant. TheK-theory of the group algebra [] for a countable, discrete group is defined in terms of the simplicial ring of smooth simplices on [], where [] is given the fine topology with respect to its finite-dimensional, linear subspaces. The assembly map for this theory :K * B K * [] is studied and shown to be a rational injection. The proof uses the Connes-Karoubi Chern character fromK-theory of Banach algebras to cyclic homology, here generalized to any fine topological algebra, and proved to be multiplicative.  相似文献

A linear geometric order theory for holomorphic mappings F: nm is given if a family of linear subspaces L of n×m is specified; the theory then is concerned with the order number of connected parts of the intersections L (F) of the L's with the graph (F) of F. For m=1 (i.e. case of one function) it is proved that the local linear order number of a holomorphic function is finite in every point. If the L's are real-linear subspaces then real differential geometric methods lead to the proof, if the L's are complex-linear then ideal-theoretical means do.  相似文献

In [4], K. Strambach describes a 2-dimensional stable plane admitting =SL2 as a group of automorphisms such that there exists no -equivarient embedding into a 2-dimensional projective plane. R. Löwen [3] has given a 4-dimensional analogue , admitting =SL2. He posed the question whether there are embeddings of Strambach's plane into . We show that such embeddings exist, in fact we determine all -equivariant embeddings of 2-dimensional stable planes admitting as atransitive group of automorphisms.  相似文献

The Inozemtsev limit (IL), or the scaling limit, is known as a procedure applied to the elliptic Calogero-Moser model. It is a combination of the trigonometric limit, infinite shifts of particle coordinates, and coupling-constant rescalings. This results in an interaction of the exponential type. We show that the IL applied to the sl(N,) elliptic Euler-Calogero-Moser model and to the elliptic Gaudin model produces new Toda-like systems of N interacting particles endowed with additional degrees of freedom corresponding to a coadjoint orbit of sl(n,). The limits corresponding to the complete degeneration of the orbital degrees of freedom lead to recovering only the known periodic and nonperiodic Toda systems. We classify the systems appearing in the IL in the sl(3,) case. This classification is represented on a two-dimensional plane of parameters describing infinite shifts of particle coordinates. This space is subdivided into symmetric domains. In this picture, a mixture of the Toda and trigonometric Calogero-Sutherland potentials emerges on lower-dimensional domain walls. Because of obvious symmetries, this classification can be generalized to an arbitrary number of particles. We also apply the IL to the sl(2,) elliptic Gaudin model on a two-punctured elliptic curve and discuss the main properties of its possible limits. Using results of L. Lempert, we are able to construct parabolic exhaustions for strictly convex domains Dm with center at any given point of D. Using the theory of parabolic spaces and the geometric properties of these exhaustions, we can characterize the strictly convex domains biholomorphic to a circular domain and in particular to the ball in m.Supported by a grant from the C.N.R. Summary In this paper we classify the algebraic cubic surfaces of the affine space is the complex field, whose algebraic curves are set-theoretic complete intersections of ; in other words surfaces such that every prime ideal of height 1in the coordinate ring [] of is the radical of a principal ideal; if is non singular in codimension 1this means that [] is semifactorial. We give the equations of such surfaces within linear isomorphisms of providing also methods by which one can construct the equations of the surfaces cutting on its curves as set-theoretic complete intersections. Moreover for each of these surfaces we determine the minimum positive number such that every algebraic curve of with multiplicity of intersection , is complete intersection of itself with another surface § 8where the results are summarized). We tackle also the problem of such a classification over algebraically closed fields k different from .

In this paper we begin to study 3-folds in a projective space of dimension 5. Using results from [9] we give a classification of all 3-folds in 5 , up to degree 6. There are only 3 different types of 3-folds in 5 of degree 6 which are not complete intersections. These manifolds can be represented as zero schemes of sections in certain (extremal) semistable reflexive sheaves of rank 2 on 5 . Finally we obtain examples of stable reflexive sheaves on 5 with homologieal dimension 1, which do not belong to the extremal sheaves [10].

The ordered K0-group of the universal, unital free product C*-algebra Mk()*Ml()is calculated in the case where k is prime and not a divisor in l. It is shown that the positive cone of K0(Mk()*Ml())is as small as possible in this case. The article also contains results (full and partial) on the ordered K00-group of more general universal, unital free product C* algebras.  相似文献
