The 14N(p,γ)15O low-energy S-factor is analyzed using the R-matrix model. We find that the g.s. contribution is less than previously reported. The S-factor is mainly given by the 6.79 MeV state contribution which is determined by its asymptotic normalization constant (ANC). Consequently, the S-factor at zero energy is lower by a factor of 1.7 compared to the values given in recent compilations. This result may affect the nucleosynthesis and time scale evolution in massive stars. New measurements of the 14N(p,γ)15O cross section over a wide energy range, and especially at low energies, are highly desirable. Significant improvement could be also obtained from the ANC measurement of the 6.79 MeV state.  相似文献

In an earlier paper, the cross section for a direct reaction to a generalised positive-energy final state, described by an R-matrix wave function, was derived. Here a distinction is emphasised between two classes of such a reaction, depending on whether it can or cannot decay back to the target state. A major contribution in the latter case can be via direct break-up. This is computed for the reaction 7Li(3He, d)8Be(p)7Li, treated by a stripping mechanism. The dependence of the cross section on the final-state (8Be) channel energy is discussed. The present work uses shell-model wave functions for R-matrix basis states, and this is shown to be appropriate and useful for direct reactions.  相似文献

We have investigated the low-lying energy spectrum and electromagnetic transition strengths in even–even 76Se using the proton–neutron interacting boson model (IBM-2). The theoretical calculation for the energy levels and E2 and M1 transition strengths is in good agreement with the experimental data. Specifically, the excitation energy and E2 transition of ${0}_{2}^{+}$ state, which is intimately associated with shape coexistence, can be accurately reproduced. The analysis on low-lying states and the key structure indicators R1, R2, R3 and R4 and M1 transitions indicates that there is a coexistence between spherical shape and γ-soft shape in 76Se.  相似文献

Excitation curves have been determined from γ-ray yield measurements for heavyion reactions induced by Elab = 12–30 MeV 16O, 18O and 19F ions incident upon thick targets of 9Be, 10B, 11B, 12C and 23Na. The yields of radioactive decay products with half-lives greater than one second were measured; hence a large number of the outgoing reaction channels could be observed. The preponderance of heavy reaction products suggests compound-nucleus formation as the dominant reaction mechanism. Statistical-model calculations with a spin-dependent level density have been performed, in which the nuclear moment of inertia was treated as a parameter. Many of the results can be explained satisfactorily with a nuclear moment of inertia 0.55 to 0.7 of the rigid body value.  相似文献

The reaction 6Li(p,n)6Be has been studied by slow-neutron detection, with particular attention to the 6Be ground state threshold. The detector response was calculated by a Monte Carlo technique and verified with a measurement of the 7Li(,n)10B threshold. An analysis of the shape of the 6Be threshold indicated that both s- and p-wave neutrons contribute significantly to the reaction. The results depend on what mode of decay is assumed for the ground state of 6Be. If a two-stage process is assumed, with either an alpha particle and an unbound diproton or 5Li and a proton as intermediate state, the width is found to be 95±28 keV and the Q-value obtained for the 6Li(p,n)6Be reaction is −5074±13 keV. It was not possible to detertmine which process is predominant. No higher thresholds in the slow neutron yield up to 4 MeV of excitation in 6Be were observed. The data above the ground state threshold are consistent with a broad excited state of 6Be or with the occurrence of other neutron-producing reactions.  相似文献

Studies of ion dynamics in the highly conductive glassy fast ionic conductor (FIC) xLi2S + (1 − x)B2S3 (x = 0.65 and 0.70) were made with NMR nuclear spin lattice relaxation (NSLR) R1(ω, T) of both mobile 7Li and immobile 11B ions, and 7Li NMR line narrowing δν(T). The possible dependence of ion dynamics on the short range order structures (SRO) and the distribution of activation energies (DAE) in this highly conductive FIC was investigated. Two Gaussian DAE were employed to fit 7Li NSLR data, where each Gaussian DAE was correlated to a separate 11B NSLR in a BS3 and in a BS4 group. The long range diffusion of Li ions among BS3 groups and a seemingly localized ionic hopping motion around BS4 group is suggested as a microscopic model for the ion dynamics in thioborate glasses, namely a ‘two channel relaxation’.  相似文献

It is required to achieve an accurate measurement of 10B distributions and concentrations in the tumor cells for boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). We employed a technique of neutron capture autoradiography (NCAR) of the whole body samples of tumor bearing mice using CR-39 plastic track detectors to the measurements of 10B accumulations in mice. In order to confirm the validity of the NCAR measurements, the differential REL spectrum for the neutron-induced particles emitted from the standard filter paper sheets was compared with that for 10B-compound solution. Differential REL spectrum for protons originated from the biogenically abundant nuclides through 14N (n, p)14C and 1H (n, n′) 1H reactions was measured in vivo using a small piece of CR-39 inserted into the tumor of mouse.  相似文献

Secondary beams of 3He, 4He, 6He, and 8He were produced through the projectile fragmentation of an 800 MeV/nucleon 11B primary beam. Interaction cross sections (σI) of all He isotopes of 790 MeV/nucleon on Be, C, and Al targets were measured by a transmission-type experiment. The interaction nuclear radii of He isotopes RI(He) = (σI/π)1/2R I(T) where RI(T) is the radius of the target nucleus, have been deduced to be RI(3He) = 1.59 ± 0.06 fm, RI(4He) = 1.40 ± 0.05 fm, RI(6He) = 2.21 ± 0.06 fm, and RI(8He) = 2.52 ± 0.06 fm.  相似文献

Differences between solution and solid state 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of some amphetamines namely, 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine·HCl, (R,S)-MDA·HCl, the methyl derivative 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methylamphetamine·HCl, (R,S)-MDMA·HCl, the ethyl derivative, (R,S)-MDEA·HCl, and the analogues (R,S)-methamphetamine·HCl, (−)-ephedrine·HCl (the 3R,2S enantiomer as numbered here), and (+)-pseudo-ephedrine·HCl (the 3S,2S enantiomer as numbered here) have been studied and related to their crystal structure. For (R,S)-MDMA·HCl, an interesting new finding is that the observed solid state chemical shifts changed when lactose monohydrate was added as a dry powder and thoroughly mixed at room temperature. This experiment mimicked the illicit production of “Ecstasy” tablets. The mixing phenomena with lactose observed for (R,S)-MDMA·HCl was not seen for the other compounds studied. The results are discussed in terms of hydrogen bonding and possible polymorphs. It appears that lactose affects crystal packing by reducing conformational rigidity so that the molecule more closely resembles that in solution.  相似文献

Cross sections have been measured for the transitions to the ground state and first excited state of 8Be and to the two 2+ levels at 16.63 MeV and 16.93 MeV excitation in the reaction 10B(p, 3He) at Ep = 49.5 MeV. The proton-stripping reaction from a 11Be radioactive beam incident on a beryllium target demonstrates that only (7±3)% of the 9Li residues in the reaction are in coincidence with the 2.7 MeV γ-ray corresponding to the 9Li first excited state. This implies that the previously observed low-energy neutrons from the decay of the unbound nucleus 10Li represent a direct l=0 transition to the 9Li ground state. Consequently, neutron-unbound 10Li is proven to have the same parity inversion as occurs in the case of 11Be with a  intruder state below the natural parity state.  相似文献

The elastic scattering angular distributions of 11B projectile on light, medium, and heavy target nuclei including 7Li, 9Be, 12C, 16O, 24,25,26Mg, 27Al, 28Si, 40Ca, 58Ni, 59Co, 60Ni, 197Au, 208Pb, and 209Bi have been analyzed at various incident energies. The theoretical results have been obtained by using two different nuclear potentials within the framework of the optical model (OM). Firstly, the double folding potential for real part and the Wood-Saxon (WS) potential for imaginary part have been applied. Secondly, the calculations with double folding potential for both real and imaginary part have been performed and compared with the experimental data. It has been seen that the results are in very good agreement with the experimental data. Also, the volume integrals and cross-sections for each reaction have been obtained. Finally, a new and simple formula for the imaginary potential depth has been derived to clarify the nuclear interactions of 11B nucleus at low energy reactions.  相似文献

The polarization of protons from the 9Be(d, p)10Be reaction has been measured for deuteron energies between 1 and 6 MeV. Angular distributions of the polarization for the ground state proton group (Q=4.59 MeV) have been measured for laboratory angles 10° and 135° at 2.5, 4.0 and 5.5 MeV. The polarization at a laboratory angle of 30° was measured in 0.2 MeV steps between 1 and 6 MeV. In addition the polarization of protons leaving 10Be in its first excited state (Q=1.22 MeV) was measured between 10° and 90° for a deuteron bombarding energy of 5.5 MeV. Measurements were made by conventional double-scattering techniques using elastic scattering from helium at 45° as the analyser. The results show a strong energy dependence contrary to what one might expect on the basis of the lack of structure in the cross section. The maximum polarization observed at each energy is about 0.35.  相似文献

The average polarization of 12B produced by the capture of polarized muons in 12C has been measured using recoil implantation techniques. From the result we deduce the average polarization of the 12B ground state 12B(0) corresponding to the 12C → 12B(0) Gamow-Teller reaction: Jμ(0) = 0.43 ± 0.10. The sizeable deviation of this polarization from the value of 2/3, characteristic of a “bare” 0+ → 1+ process, is a fair evidence for induced axial-vector interaction(s) in muon capture. The ratio of the induced pseudoscalar and the axial-vector coupling constants is deduced to be: gμP/gμA = 12 ± 5.  相似文献

The 74Se is one of 35 p-nuclei, and 82Se is a r-process only nucleus, and their (n, γ) cross sections are vital input parameters for nuclear astrophysics reaction network calculations. The neutron capture cross section in the resonance range of isotopes and even natural selenium samples has not been measured. Prompt γ-rays originating from neutron-induced capture events were detected by four C6D6 liquid scintillator detectors at the Back-n facility of China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS). The pulse height weighting technique (PHWT) was used to analyze the data in the 1 eV to 100 keV region. The deduced neutron capture cross section was compared with ENDF/B-VIII.0, JEFF-3.2, and JENDL-4.0, and some differences were found. Resonance parameters were extracted by the R-matrix code SAMMY in the 1 eV-1 keV region. All the cross sections of natSe and resonance parameters are given in the datasets.
