From extraction experiments and γ-activity measurements, the exchange extraction constant corresponding to the equilibrium Ca2+ (aq)+1·Sr2+ (nb) ⇆ 1·Ca2+ (nb) + Sr2+ (aq) taking place in the two-phase water-nitrobenzene system (1 = valinomycin; aq = aqueous phase, nb = nitrobenzene phase) was evaluated as log K ex (Ca2+, 1·Sr2+) = 2.4±0.1. Further, the stability constant of the valinomycin-calcium complex (abbrev. 1·Ca2+) in nitrobenzene saturated with water was calculated for a temperature of 25 °C: log β nb (1·Ca2+) = 8.3±0.1. By using quantum mechanical DFT calculations, the most probable structure of the 1·Ca2+·2H2O complex species was predicted. In this complex, the “central” Ca2+ cation is bound by strong bonds to two oxygen atoms of the respective water molecules and to four ester carbonyl oxygens of the parent valinomycin ligand 1. Finally, the calculated binding energy of the considered complex 1·Ca2+·2H2O is −319.2 kcal/mol, which confirms the relatively high stability of this cationic complex species.  相似文献

Density functional calculations are performed to study the structures and electronic properties of Al n Co m clusters with n = 1–7 and m = 1–2. Frequency analysis is also performed after structural optimization to make sure that the calculated ground states are real minima. The corresponding total and binding energies, adiabatic electron affinities and ionization potentials are presented and discussed to aid the identification of our calculations. The BSSE correction is also considered in our calculation. Among Al n Co m , Al n Co m , and Al n Co m = clusters (n = 1–7 and m = 1–2), Al4Co, Al6Co, Al2Co2, and Al6Co2 are predicted to be more stable. Our results are consistent with the available experimental data.  相似文献

2-Keto-D-gluconate (kG) is naturally produced in soils, sediments and rock faces through the microbial oxidation of glucose. Studies have qualitatively shown kG to enhance the dissolution of soil minerals. However, quantitative information, such as the log K values for the formation of metal–kG complexes, are not available. This paper presents the results of potentiometric titration studies that employ H+ and Ca2+ ion selective electrodes (ISEs) to determine the conditional ion association constants (log Q values) for the protonation and deprotonation of kG and the formation of Ca–kG complexes. The experimentally-determined log Q values were then converted to the corresponding ion association constants (the zero ionic strength condition; log K values) by employing a modified Davies equation for charged species and the Setchenów equation for neutral species. The log K values were determined by potentiometric titrations at constant kG concentration, varied ionic strengths, 25 or 22 C, and in the absence of CO2. The computer model GEOCHEM-PC was used to determine the aqueous speciation of ions other than kG and the computer model FITEQL was used to estimate conditional log Q values for reactions in the various chemical models. Based on our evaluations, equilibrium constants for the following reactions were determined: H++ kG ⇌ HkG0, log Ka1 = (3.00 ± 0.06), kG⇌ H–1kG2–+ H+, log Ka–1 = –(11.97 ± 0.41), and Ca2++ kG⇌ CakG+, log K101 = (1.74 ± 0.04).  相似文献

The structures, stability patterns of C26H n (n = 2) formed from the initial D 3h C26 fullerene were investigated by use of second-order-Moller–Plesset perturbation theory. The study of the stability patterns of hydrogenation reaction on C26 cage revealed that type (β) carbons were the active site and the analyses of π-orbital axis vector indicated that the reactivity of C26 was the result of the high strain and the hydrogenation reaction on C26 cage was highly exothermic. The calculated 13C NMR spectra of C26H n (n = 2) predicted that the two sp 3 hybridization carbons in C26H n (n = 2) obviously moved to high field compare with that in D 3h C26. Hence, the C26H2 should be obtained and detected experimentally. Similarly, the structures and reaction energies of C26H n (n = 4, 6, 8) were further studied at HF/6-31G*, B3LPY/6-31G* and MP2/6-31G* level. The results suggested the hydrogenation products of C26, C26H n (n = 4, 6, 8), were more stable than the C26 cage.  相似文献

The kinetics of Ru[(NH3)6]3+ reduction in 1 M NaNO3 solution at Ag(210) and Ag(111) singlecrystal electrodes modified by n-decanthiol monolayer is studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. By using these two methods, standard rate constants of the redox reaction involving Ru[(NH3)6]3+/2+ redox couple in the absence and in the presence of the n-decanthiol film were estimated. The equivalent circuit describing the experimental data in the presence of the self-assembled organic monolayer and in the absence of redox reaction is an electrical circuit comprising a large resistance (∼106 Ω) connected in parallel with a capacitance (∼10−8 F). Analysis of kinetic data and extrapolation of Tafel lines resulted in the determination of the rate constant at unmodified Ag-electrode, which is characteristic of very fast heterogeneous electron transfer. The calculated rate constants for n-decanthiol-modified silver singlecrystal faces (210) and (111) in 1 M NaNO3 solution (pH 6.3) equal 4.63 × 10−5 and 3.05 × 10−5 cm/s, respectively. The results are compared with the data at hand reported by different authors for gold electrodes in indifferent electrolyte solution in the absence and in the presence of self-assembled monolayer.  相似文献

The methods of cyclic voltammetry, electrolysis, and spectrophotometry were used to study electrochemical properties of (TCAS + Fe3+ + dipy), (CCAS + Fe3+ + dipy), and (CCAS + Fe3+ + [Co(dipy)3]3+) triple systems (where TCAS is n-sulfonatothiacalix[4]arene, CCAS is tetracarboxylate n-sulfonatocalix[4]arene, and dipy = α,α′-dipyridyl) in an aqueous solution. One-electron reduction of Fe(III) in the (TCAS + Fe3+ + dipy) system at pH 2.5 results in electroswitching of iron ions from the lower TCAS ring to the upper ([Fe(dipy)3]2+). Reverse electrochemical switching of the system is impossible due to mediator ([Fe(dipy)3]2+/3+) oxidation of TCAS. Reverse electroswitching of Fe(III) ions from unbound to bound state as ([Fe(dipy)3]2+) with CCAS has been revealed in the system (CCAS + Fe3+ + dipy) (pH 1.7) upon single-electron transfer, whereas reversible electroswitching by the upper rim of CCAS from one complex ion ([Co(dipy)3]3+) to another ([Fe(dipy)3]2+) has been demonstrated in the system ([Co(dipy)3]3+ + CCAS + Fe3+ upon double-electron transfer. In all systems, electric switching was accompanied by synchronous color switching.  相似文献

The structures and properties of asymmetric heterocycles (HBrBN3) n (n = 1-4) are systematically studied at the B3LYP/6-31G* level. The molecules (HBrBN3) n (n = 2-4) have the core structures of a 2n-membered ring with alternating boron and α-nitrogen atoms. The relationships between geometrical parameters and oligomerization degree n are discussed. The calculated IR spectra have four main characteristic regions. Trends in thermodynamic properties with temperature and oligomerization degree n are discussed. Thermodynamic analysis of the gas-phase oligomerizations shows that formation of the most stable heterocycles (HBrBN3) n (n = 2-4) is enthalpy driven in the range of 200-800 K.  相似文献

Layered barium phosphonate, synthesized by combining the metallic salt with a phenylphosphonic acid solution, yielded Ba(HO3PC6H5)2 ·H2O (BaPP), which gives the corresponding anhydrous compound on heating. n-Alkylmonoamines intercalation into the crystalline lamellar precursor resulted in compounds having the general formula Ba(HO3PC6H5)2 ·xH2N(CH2) n CH3 ·(1−x)H2O (n=1–5). The intense infrared bands in the 1160–695 cm−1 interval confirmed the presence of the phosphonate groups attached to the inorganic layer, with sharp and intense peaks in X-ray diffraction patterns for both hydrated and anhydrous compounds. The thermogravimetric curves for both supports showed the release of water molecules and the organic moiety in distinct stages to yield a final Ba(PO3)2residue. An additional amine mass loss steps was observed for the corresponding aminated compounds. One isolated DSC peak found in the layered precursor compound contrasts by its absence in the anhydrous form and the 3P NMR spectrum presented one peak for attached phenylphosphonate groups centered at 12.4 ppm. An increase in carbon and hydrogen percentages for intercalated compounds followed the amine size chain with a corresponding decrease in nitrogen percentage. The interlayer distance (d) correlates linearly with the number of carbon atoms (n c ) of the alkylamine chains, d=1467 + 62n c and d=1688 + 60n c , for the hydrated and anhydrous compounds, respectively, permitting inference of the interlayer distance for an unknown amine.This revised version was published online in July 2005 with a corrected issue number.  相似文献

Fluorocyclohexa adducts C60(C4F8) n were synthesized by high-temperature reaction of fullerene C60 with 1,2-C2F4I2 or 1,4-C4F8I2 in sealed tubes. Their separation by HPLC allowed us to determine molecular structure (X-ray diffraction) of four new compounds C6(C4F8) n (n = 2, 3, 4, and 6). Structures of isomers C60(C4F8) n were discussed in terms of a concept of consecutive addition of C4F8 groups to the fullerene cage.  相似文献

Structural information on free transition metal doped aluminum clusters, Al n TM + (TM = Ti, V, Cr), was obtained by studying their ability for argon physisorption. Systematic size (n = 5 – 35) and temperature (T = 145 – 300 K) dependent investigations reveal that bare Al n + clusters are inert toward argon, while Al n TM + clusters attach one argon atom up to a critical cluster size. This size is interpreted as the geometrical transition from surface-located dopant atoms to endohedrally doped aluminum clusters with the transition metal atom residing in an aluminum cage. The critical size, n crit , is found to be surprisingly large, namely n crit = 16 and n crit = 19 – 21 for TM = V, Cr, and TM = Ti, respectively. Experimental cluster–argon bond dissociation energies have been derived as function of cluster size from equilibrium mass spectra and are in the 0.1–0.3 eV range.  相似文献

A quantum-mechanical study of internal rotation around C-C· bond in n-alkyl radicals from C2H5 to C7H15 was carried out using B3LYP/6-311++G(3df, 3pd) approach. The values of barriers and local minima were found. Analysis of the distribution of electron density was carried out. By application of the methods of mathematical statistics different types of representation of the potential functions of internal rotation were analyzed and the optimal approximation was revealed. Contributions to the thermodynamic properties of the considered radicals were calculated. The generalized function of internal rotation was suggested for the radicals of the type C n H2n+1, n > 4.  相似文献

The efflorescence and deliquescence processes of Mg(NO3)2 aerosol particles deposited on ZnSe substrate have been investigated through in situ Fourier transform infrared-attenuated total reflection (FTIR-ATR) technique at the molecular level. At relative humidity (RH) of ∼3%, Mg(NO3)2 particles existed as amorphous states. The amorphous Mg(NO3)2 particles were transformed into crystalline Mg(NO3)2 · nH2O (n ≤ 5) with slight increasing of RH. Thermodynamically stable Mg(NO3)2·6H2O crystals were gradually formed on the particle surface and started to be dissolved at the saturation point (∼53% RH). At the same time, a continuous phase transition from Mg(NO3)2 · nH2O (n≤5) to Mg(NO3)2·6H2O occurred on the particle surface. This led the solid particles to completely deliquesce at 76% RH, which was much higher than the saturation point of 53% RH. In the efflorescence process, Mg(NO3)2 droplets entered into the supersaturated region due to the gradual evaporation of water. Finally, amorphous particles were formed when RH decreased below 5%. In the FTIR-ATR spectra of the supersaturated Mg(NO3)2 droplets, the absorbance of the symmetric stretching vibration of NO 3 (v 1- NO 3 ) clearly became stronger. It resulted from the continuous formation of solvent share ion pairs (SIPs), and even the contact ion pairs (CIPs) between Mg2+ and NO 3 . The pVT properties of the 0.075 n-C5H12 + 0.925H2O binary system were studied experimentally. Thermal properties were measured along nine different isochores over the density and temperature ranges 87–698 kg/m3 and 303–684 K at pressures up to 60 MPa. Measurements were performed using a constant-volume piezometer. Inflection and break points of the p(T) dependences were used to construct phase equilibrium curves, which were described by scaling equations.  相似文献

Quantum-chemical calculations of the geometrical structure and vibrational spectra of CnF2n+2 oligomers (n = 5–8) in the chain and branched conformations are reported. The lengthening of the chain of CnF2n+2 does not substantially affect the geometrical parameters of the oligomers. In all cases under study, the most optimal structure of the molecule is a zigzag chain with bond lengths R(C-C) = 1.53 –1.54 and R(C-F) = 1.36 –1.34 ; the chain is rolled into a helix, which makes an angle of 17° with the plane. The IR spectra are sensitive to the structural deficiency of oligomers CnF2n+2 associated with the lateral trifluoromethyl groups formed in the chain; the spectra can be used for revealing defects of this type in the structure of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The possibility of defects associated with the lateral CF3 groups in the structure of PTFE and its low-temperature modifications is explained based on the calculated total energies of CnF2 n+2.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2004 by L. The influence of many-particle interactions on the structure of Na+(H2O) n clusters at 298 K was studied by the Monte Carlo method. The interaction parameters were reproduced from the experimental data on the Gibbs energy of hydration in water vapor. The interaction of induced dipoles results in the displacement of part of molecules through large distances from the ion. Covalent interactions strengthen the bond with the first attached molecule and weaken bonds with the other molecules.  相似文献

The special projective linear groups PSL(2ℓ + 1) or L 2(2ℓ + 1) of order 2ℓ(2ℓ + 1)(ℓ + 1) can be used to study atomic shells of electrons with angular momentum quantum number ℓ corresponding to the atomic p, d, f, and g shells for ℓ = 1, 2, 3, 4, respectively. For the atomic g shell the group L 2(9) is isomorphic with the alternating group A 6 on six objects of order 360 or the symmetry group of the 5-dimensional simplex, a 5-dimensional analogue of the tetrahedron with 6 vertices and 15 edges. This leads to the subgroup chain SO(9) ⊃ SO(5) ⊃ L 2(9) for the atomic g shell analogous to the subgroup chain SO(7) ⊃ G 2L 2(7) ≈7 O for the atomic f shell. In the L 2(9) group only the representations of spherical harmonics or sums thereof, Γ(Y), with dimensions dim Γ(Y) or dim Γ(Y) ± 1 divisible by 9 are found to be individually reducible to irreducible representations (irreps) or sums of irreps of L 2(9). This leads to term groupings such as S, PD, G, PF, DH, L, PK, DI, FH, M, FI, PO, DN, HK, R, etc., of increasing total dimension for the irreps of SO(9) for various g n configurations in the atomic g shell.  相似文献
