An efficient compact diode-pumped acousto-optic actively Q-switched Nd:YAG ceramic laser operating at 1319 nm was demonstrated.
At an incident pump power of 23.7 W, an average output power of 4.8 W at a pulse repetition frequency of 30 kHz was obtained.
The corresponding optical-to-optical conversion efficiency was 20.3%. A maximum single pulse energy of 316 μJ with a pulse
duration of 78.5 ns was obtained at an incident pump power of 19.4 W and a pulse repetition frequency of 10 kHz. 相似文献

A diode-end-pumped high repetition rate, high peak power acousto-optical (AO) Q-switched 946 nm Nd:YAG laser was demonstrated
in this paper. In our experiments, a 20 mm miniature acousto-optical Q-switch was employed in a 45 mm linear laser cavity
for generating the short laser pulse. At a repetition rate of 10 kHz, a maximum average output power of 2.9 W was achieved
with a pulse width of 24.4 ns, giving a peak power of 11.9 kW. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest peak power
946 nm Nd:YAG laser at high repetition rate operation. Moreover, pulse train with good stability was also obtained at the
repetition rate of 50 kHz. At an incident pump power of 22.3 W, up to an average output power of 3.5 W pulsed 946 nm laser
was generated at 50 kHz with a pulse width of 69 ns, corresponding to an optical conversion efficiency of 15.7% and an average
slope efficiency of 24.1%, respectively. 相似文献

A diode-laser array end-pumped acousto-optically Q-switched NYAB laser operating at both 1.06 and 0.53 μm has been demonstrated. An average output power of 1.3 W at 1.06 μm at a pulse repetition frequency (PRF) of 60 kHz was obtained with an optical conversion efficiency of 18.1% and a slope efficiency of 21.3%. At the incident pump power of 6.1 W, the 1.06 μm shortest laser pulse was reached at PRF of 20 kHz with FWHM width measured to be 32 ns, yielding a largest pulse energy of 30 μJ, and a highest peak power of 938 W. The attainable maximum average green power was found to be 185 mW, with an optical conversion efficiency of 3%. 相似文献

The performance of a LD-pumped passively Q-switched Nd:YAG ceramic laser at 1319 nm with a Co:LMA saturable absorber was demonstrated
for the first time to the best of our knowledge. The average output power of 1.58 W was obtained at the pump power of 23.3
W, corresponding to the optical conversion efficiency of 6.78% and slope efficiency of 11.2%. The minimum pulse width was

A high-power high-repetition-rate acousto-optically Q-switched 1342 nm laser with double Nd:YVO4 crystals pumped by fiber-coupled laser diodes is presented. The highest output power of 13.7 W was achieved with a total
of 42 W pumping power in cw operation, the slope efficiency was measured as 36%, and the optical efficiency was better than
32%. In Q-switchedoperation, the highest pulse repetition rate of 100 kHz was obtained. At 50 kHz repetition rate, the laser
exported 11.2 W average output power, with 60 ns average pulse width, ∼5% width stability (RMS) and ∼8% peak-power stability
(RMS). At 10 kHz repetition rate, the highest average output power was measured as 6.3 W, single pulse energy was calculated
as 0.63 mJ, with pulse width of 19 ns and peak-power higher than 30 kW. Combining the experimental results, we analyze and
discuss some problems concerning Nd:YVO4 crystal working at 1,342 nm wavelength.

We experimentally demonstrated a high-efficiency passively Q-switched Yb:CaYAlO4 (Yb:CYA) laser based on a semiconductor-saturable absorber mirror (SESAM), and the output characteristics of the laser including the average output power, repetition frequency, pulse duration, pulse energy and pulse peak power were investigated by adopting output mirrors with different transmittances. When the transmittance of the output mirror was 5% and the pump power was set at about 7.76 W, a maximum average output power of as high as 2.480 W was achieved with a slope efficiency and light-to-light efficiency of the Q-switched Yb:CYA laser of up to 37.1% and 31.2%, respectively. 相似文献

We report on a compact, efficient, and reliable monolithic Nd:YVO(4) slab oscillator-amplifier with an output power of 29.3 W in cw operation and an optical-to-optical efficiency of 24%. In electro-optically Q-switched operation, 28.8 W of average power at a repetition rate of 100 kHz with a pulse width of 15 ns was measured. The RMS stability of the pulse energy is better than 1.7%. 高功率2 μm波长可调谐的超短脉冲激光具有峰值功率高、脉冲宽度窄、波长可调谐等优势,在医疗手术、大气通信、光电对抗等领域具有广泛的应用。利用高峰值功率的掺铒光纤放大器泵浦高非线性光纤,在全光纤化结构中获得了1895~2165 nm可调谐的拉曼孤子输出。采用啁啾脉冲放大技术对拉曼孤子的脉冲能量进行提升,放大后拉曼孤子的单脉冲能量为1.56 μJ,平均功率达到50.6 W,脉冲宽度为83 ps。经过光栅对压缩后,脉冲宽度降低至1.23 ps,平均功率为22 W,峰值功率达到0.55 MW。放大后的脉冲仍具有波长调谐的能力,当输出功率为5 W和50.6 W时,脉冲的波长调谐范围分别为38 nm和8 nm。 相似文献

A diode-laser-array end-pumped acousto-optically Q-switched intracavity frequency-doubled Nd:GdVO4/KTP green laser, formed with a three-mirror folded resonator, has been demonstrated. With 15 W of pump power incident upon
the Nd:GdVO4 crystal, a maximum average green output power of 3.75 W was obtained at 50 kHz of pulse repetition frequency, giving an optical
conversion efficiency of 25%, whereas the effective intracavity frequency-doubling efficiency was determined to be 72%. At
the incident pump power of 12.8 W, the shortest laser pulse was achieved at a pulse repetition rate of 10 kHz, the resulting
pulse width, single pulse energy, and peak power were measured to be 35 ns, 108 μJ, and 3.1 kW, respectively.

we have experimentally studied the passively Q-switched performance of a diode-pumped Nd:GGG laser at 1062 nm with a GaAs
saturable absorber, in the experiment when the pumped power was 9.8 W, the maximum CW output power of 5.1 W was obtained.

We realize a femtosecond high-power spontaneous mode-locked operation with gigahertz oscillation in a vertical-external cavity surface-emitting laser under the condition of eliminating the internal and external unwanted reflection. We find that the reflectivity of the output coupler has a significant influence not only on the output power but also on the output pulse duration. With an incident pump power of 20 W, we have achieved 2.35 W of average output power with 778 fs pulse duration at a repetition rate of 2.17 GHz. A 50.2W high pulse energy green laser system at 532 nm was demonstrated by extra-cavity second-harmonic generation (SHG). The fundamental laser was based on laser diode (LD) side-pumped MOPA Q-switched technology, producing 79W of average power at the repetition rate of 500 Hz, while the pulse width was 6 ns. Type-II angle phasematched KTiOPO4 (KTP) crystal was used as the nonlinear crystal. The 50.2W average power of 532 nm laser was obtained with the divergence angle less than 0.6 mrad and the corresponding peak power of 16.7MW. The optical frequency conversion efficiency from fundamental to green laser was up to 63.5%. The measured output power fluctuation was less than 0.38% in one hour operation. 相似文献

An efficient continuous wave (CW) and Q-switched c-cut Tm:YAP laser is reported in this letter. With the dual-end-pumped convex-concave resonator, CW output power up to 13.6
W at 1.99 μm was obtained under a total incident pump power of 50 W. The corresponding slope efficiency was 34.3% and conversion
efficiency was 27.2%. The active Q-switched operation of the laser had an average output power of 12.5 W at 10 kHz pulse repetition
frequency, with a minimum pulse width of 126 ns. With 6 kHz pulse repetition frequency, the maximum pulse energy of 1.6 mJ
was obtained. In addition, using the Tm:YAP laser as a pumping source for gain-switched Cr:ZnSe laser, as much as 4 W output

Received August 11, 2003 We report continuous-wave and actively Q-switched laser performance achieved with Nd:LuVO4 crystal for the 4F(3/2) --> 4I(1/2) transition (corresponding wavelength of 1065.8 nm) under high-power diode pumping. Continuous-wave output power of 12.55 W is obtained with an optical conversion efficiency of 50.2%. In actively Q-switched operation the average output power reaches 5.42 W at a pulse repetition frequency of 40 kHz with 18 W of pump power incident upon the crystal, yielding an optical conversion efficiency of 30.1%. The pulse energy and peak power reach 138 microJ and 16.2 kW, respectively, at a pulse repetition frequency of 25 kHz under a pump power of 14.2 W; the pulse duration is 8.5 ns. 相似文献
