We search for invariant solutions of the conformal Killing–Yano equation on Lie groups equipped with left invariant Riemannian metrics, focusing on 2-forms. We show that when the Lie group is compact equipped with a bi-invariant metric or 2-step nilpotent, the only invariant solutions occur on the 3-dimensional sphere or on a Heisenberg group. We classify the 3-dimensional Lie groups with left invariant metrics carrying invariant conformal Killing–Yano 2-forms.  相似文献

We determine the Riemannian manifolds for which the group of exact volume preserving diffeomorphisms is a totally geodesic subgroup of the group of volume preserving diffeomorphisms, considering right invariant L2-metrics. The same is done for the subgroup of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms as a subgroup of the group of symplectic diffeomorphisms in the Kähler case. These are special cases of totally geodesic subgroups of diffeomorphisms with Lie algebras big enough to detect the vanishing of a symmetric 2-tensor field.  相似文献

We study the general geometrical structure of the coadjoint orbits of a semidirect product formed by a Lie group and a representation of this group on a vector space. The use of symplectic induction methods gives new insight into the structure of these orbits. In fact, each coadjoint orbit of such a group is obtained by symplectic induction on some coadjoint orbit of a “smaller” Lie group. We study also a special class of polarizations related to a semidirect product and the validity of Pukanszky's condition for these polarizations. Some examples of physical interest are discussed using the previous methods  相似文献

In the present paper, the flag curvature of invariant Randers metrics on homogeneous spaces and Lie groups is studied. We first give an explicit formula for the flag curvature of invariant Randers metrics arising from invariant Riemannian metrics on homogeneous spaces and, in special case, Lie groups. We then study Randers metrics of constant positive flag curvature and complete underlying Riemannian metric on Lie groups. Finally we give some properties of those Lie groups which admit a left invariant non-Riemannian Randers metric of Berwald type arising from a left invariant Riemannian metric and a left invariant vector field.   相似文献

This work is concerned with the existence of Lorentz 2-step nilpotent Lie groups having a timelike center and which are not globally hyperbolic. Namely, we prove that any left invariant Lorentz metric with a timelike center on the Heisenberg group H 2n+1 is not globally hyperbolic.  相似文献

In this Letter, we discuss a series of linearization problems – for Poisson structures, Lie algebroids, and Lie groupoids. The last problem involves a conjecture on the structure of proper groupoids. Attempting to prove this by the method of averaging leads to problems concerning almost actions of compact groups and almost invariant submanifolds for compact group actions. The Letter ends with a discussion of possible extensions of the convexity theorems for momentum maps of hamiltonian actions of compact groups.  相似文献

A classical phase space with a suitable symplectic structure is constructed together with functions which have Possion brackets algebraically identical to the Lie algebra structure of the Lie group SU(3). It is shown that in this phase space there are two spheres which intersect at one point. Such a system has a representation as an algebraic curve of the form X 3+…=0 in C 3. The curve introduced is singular at the origin in the limit when the radii of the spheres go to zero. A direct connection between the Lie groups SU(3) and a singular curve in C 3 is thus established. The key step needed to do this was to treat the Lie group as a quantum system and determine its phase space.  相似文献

We provide an alternative method for obtaining of compatible Poisson structures on Lie groups by means of the adjoint representations of Lie algebras. In this way we calculate some compatible Poisson structures on four dimensional and nilpotent six dimensional symplectic real Lie groups. Then using Magri-Morosi’s theorem we obtain new bi-Hamiltonian systems with four dimensional and nilpotent six dimensional symplectic real Lie groups as phase spaces.  相似文献

We present an explicit construction of the basic bundle gerbes with connection over all connected compact simple Lie groups. These are geometric objects that appear naturally in the Lagrangian approach to the WZW conformal field theories. Our work extends the recent construction of Meinrenken [The basic gerbe over a compact simple Lie group, L’Enseignement Mathematique, in press. arXiv:math. DG/0209194] restricted to the case of simply connected groups.  相似文献

Using the modified CK's direct method, we build the relationship between new solutions and old ones and find some new exact solutions to the (3+1)-dimensional potential-YTSF equation. Based on the invariant group theory, Lie point symmetry groups and Lie symmetries of the (3+1)-dimensional potential-YTSF equation are obtained. We also get conservation laws of the equation with the given Lie symmetry.  相似文献

In this paper a three-dimensional system with five parameters is considered. For some particular values of these parameters, one finds known dynamical systems. The purpose of this work is to study some symmetries of the considered system, such as Lie-point symmetries, conformal symmetries, master symmetries and variational symmetries. In order to present these symmetries we give constants of motion. Using Lie group theory, Hamiltonian and bi-Hamiltonian structures are given. Also, symplectic realizations of Hamiltonian structures are presented. We have generalized some known results and we have established other new results. Our unitary presentation allows the study of these classes of dynamical systems from other points of view, e.g. stability problems, existence of periodic orbits, homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits.  相似文献

After observing that the well-known convexity theorems of symplectic geometry also hold for compact contact manifolds with an effective torus action whose Reeb vector field corresponds to an element of the Lie algebra of the torus, we use this fact together with a recent symplectic orbifold version of Delzant’s theorem due to Lerman and Tolman [E. Lerman, S. Tolman, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 349 (10) (1997) 4201–4230] to show that every such compact toric contact manifold can be obtained by a contact reduction from an odd dimensional sphere.  相似文献

Let (M,F) be a symplectic manifold and consider a Lie subalgebra G of its Lie algebra of symplectic vector fields. We prove that every one-differentiable deformation of order k of the Poisson Lie algebra of M, which is invariant with respect to G, extends to an invariant one-differentiable deformation of infinite order. If M admits a G-invariant linear connection, a similar result holds true for differentiable deformations and for star-products. In particular, if M admits a G- -invariant linear connection, there always exists a G-invariant star-product.  相似文献

Given any Poisson action G×PP of a Poisson–Lie group G we construct an object =T *G*T* P which has both a Lie groupoid structure and a Lie algebroid structure and which is a half-integrated form of the matched pair of Lie algebroids which J.-H. Lu associated to a Poisson action in her development of Drinfeld's classification of Poisson homogeneous spaces. We use to give a general reduction procedure for Poisson group actions, which applies in cases where a moment map in the usual sense does not exist. The same method may be applied to actions of symplectic groupoids and, most generally, to actions of Poisson groupoids.  相似文献

It is shown how one can do symplectic reduction for locally conformal symplectic manifolds, especially with an action of a Lie group. This generalizes well-known procedures for symplectic manifolds to the slightly larger class of locally conformal symplectic manifolds. The whole setting is very conformally invariant.  相似文献

Given a random quantum state of multiple distinguishable or indistinguishable particles, we provide an effective method, rooted in symplectic geometry, to compute the joint probability distribution of the eigenvalues of its one-body reduced density matrices. As a corollary, by taking the distribution’s support, which is a convex moment polytope, we recover a complete solution to the one-body quantum marginal problem. We obtain the probability distribution by reducing to the corresponding distribution of diagonal entries (i.e., to the quantitative version of a classical marginal problem), which is then determined algorithmically. This reduction applies more generally to symplectic geometry, relating invariant measures for the coadjoint action of a compact Lie group to their projections onto a Cartan subalgebra, and can also be quantized to provide an efficient algorithm for computing bounded height Kronecker and plethysm coefficients.  相似文献

Consider the Kontsevich star product on the symmetric algebra of a finite-dimensional Lie algebra g, regarded as the algebra of distributions with support 0 on g. In this Letter, we extend this star product to distributions satisfying an appropriate support condition. As a consequence, we prove a long-standing conjecture of Kashiwara–Vergne on the convolution of germs of invariant distributions on the Lie group G.  相似文献

We prove the integrability of the Poisson algebra of functions with compact supports of a noncompact manifold. We also determine a Lie subalgebra of vector fields which, weakly, integrate the Poisson algebra of a not necessarily compact manifold covered by an exact symplectic manifold.  相似文献

Lie’s method of differential equation is used to obtain the one-parameter Lie groups admitted by the time-dependent Schrödinger equations for atoms, molecules and nucleons in harmonic oscillator field. This group for atoms and molecules is isomorphic to 10-parameter inhomogeneous orthogonal group in 4 dimensions, irrespective of the numbers of nuclei and electrons. For Z protons andN neutrons in a harmonic oscillator field, both isotropic and anisotropic, the r-parameter Lie groups are seraidirect products of an invariant subgroup and a factor group. In the case of isotropic oscillator field r is 1/2[3Z(3Z-1) +3N (3N -1)+2], while for the anisotropic oscillator field r is 1/2[3Z (Z+1)+3N(JV+1)+2].  相似文献
