Quantitative evaluations of the aromaticity (antiaromaticity) of neutral exocyclic substituted cyclopropenes (HC)(2)C=X (X = BH to InH (group 13), CH(2) to SnH(2) (group 14), NH to SbH (group 15), O to Te (group 16)) by their computed extra cyclic resonance energies (ECRE, via the block-localized wave function method) and by their aromatic stabilization energies (ASEs, via energy decomposition analyses) correlate satisfactorily (R(2) = 0.974). Electronegative X-based substituents increase the aromaticity of the cyclopropene rings, whereas electropositive substituents have the opposite effect. For example, (HC)(2)C=O is the most aromatic (ECRE = 10.3 kcal/mol), and (HC)(2)C=InH is the most antiaromatic (ECRE = -15.0 kcal/mol). The most refined dissected nucleus-independent chemical shift magnetic aromaticity index, NICS(0)(πzz), also agrees with both energetic indexes (R(2) = 0.968, for ECRE; R(2) = 0.974, for ASE), as do anisotropy of the induced current density plots.  相似文献

Bis(trimethylsilyl)hypophosphite und Alkoxycarbonylphosphonous Acid Bis(trimethylsilyl) esters as Building Blocks in Organophosphorus Chemistry The oxidation of pure bis(trimethylsilyl)hypophosphite ( BTH ) with chalcogenides forming (Me3SiO)2P(X)H (X = O, S, Se, Te) is described as well as its reactions with alkylhalides RX (X = Cl, Br, I) and Cl? C(O)OR (R = Me, Et, Bzl). By reaction with oxygen, sulfur, and selenium the alkoxycarbonylphosphonous acid bis(trimethylsilyl)esters form RO? C(O)? P(X)(OSiMe3)2 (X = O, S, Se) whereas with Cl? C(O)OR the bis(alkoxycarbonyl)-phosphinic acid trimethylsilylesters are obtained. After partial hydrolysis the resulting instable RO? C(O)? P(O)H(OSiMe3) gives RO? C(O)? P(O)(OSiMe3)? CH2? NH? A? COOR′ (A = CH2, CH2CH2, CHCH3, CH2CH2SH, CHCH(CH3)2,…) when allowed to react with hexahydro-s-triazines of the aminoacid esters. Reactions of the alkoxycarbonyl-P-silylesters with NaOR or NaOH result in the corresponding mono-, di-, or trisodium salts. With mineral acids decarboxylation occurs, but H? P(O)(OH)? CH2? NH? A? COOH can be obtained, too. The structure of the compounds described are discussed by their n.m.r. data.  相似文献

Vinyloxyboranes, CH2?CH? ;O? ;BR2, are shown by ab initio molecular orbital theory to be more stable than the isomeric β-aldoboranes, R2B? CH2? CH?O, by ca. 19 kcal/mol. The MP2/6-31G*/6-31G* + ZPE barrier for the [1,3] boron shift is only 10.9 kcal/mol (R ? Me) relative to the aldoborane. Other C2H5BO isomers (β-ketoboranes, boraepoxides and organoboron oxides), which are related to the proposed stages in the carbonylation reaction of boranes, are shown to be plausible intermediates. However, some of the computed barriers for methyl group migrations are unrealistically large, up to ca. 63 kcal/mol.  相似文献

Both ab initio and semiempirical electronic structure calculations are used to investigate the molecular and electronic structures and eneregetic stabilities of an unusual bridged compound with the general formula [Y? SiH3? X? SiH3? Y]?, with Y = H or F and X = H, CH3, NH2, OH, F, or Cl. Most of these bridged anions are quite stable relative to YSiH3 + XSiH3Y?, and the stability is predicted to increase considerably when Y = H is replaced with Y = F.  相似文献

Hydrogen atoms and SiHx (x = 1–3) radicals coexist during the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a‐Si:H) thin films for Si‐solar cell fabrication, a technology necessitated recently by the need for energy and material conservation. The kinetics and mechanisms for H‐atom reactions with SiHx radicals and the thermal decomposition of their intermediates have been investigated by using a high high‐level ab initio molecular‐orbital CCSD (Coupled Cluster with Single and Double)(T)/CBS (complete basis set extrapolation) method. These reactions occurring primarily by association producing excited intermediates, 1SiH2, 3SiH2, SiH3, and SiH4, with no intrinsic barriers were computed to have 75.6, 55.0, 68.5, and 90.2 kcal/mol association energies for x = 1–3, respectively, based on the computed heats of formation of these radicals. The excited intermediates can further fragment by H2 elimination with 62.5, 44.3, 47.5, and 56.7 kcal/mol barriers giving 1Si, 3Si, SiH, and 1SiH2 from the above respective intermediates. The predicted heats of reaction and enthalpies of formation of the radicals at 0 K, including the latter evaluated by the isodesmic reactions, SiHx + CH4 = SiH4 + CHx, are in good agreement with available experimental data within reported errors. Furthermore, the rate constants for the forward and unimolecular reactions have been predicted with tunneling corrections using transition state theory (for direct abstraction) and variational Rice–Ramsperger–Kassel–Marcus theory (for association/decomposition) by solving the master equation covering the P,T‐conditions commonly employed used in industrial CVD processes. The predicted results compare well experimental and/or computational data available in the literature. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

A mechanism for the formation in a chain of H2, CO, and HCOOH in the photooxidation of formaldehyde is proposed. This mechanism is initiated by the addition of HO2 to formaldehyde. Hydrogen atoms are produced by the thermal dissociation of the HOCH2O radical: HOCH2O → H + HCOOH; ΔH = + 3.2 kcal/mol [5]. Photolysis of CH2O? O2? NO mixtures and product analysis were carried out in conjunction with kinetic simulation yielding an estimate for the activation energy of the dissociation reaction : E5 = 14.9 ± 1.0 kcal/mol. Previous observations of this chain process are considered in view of this mechanism.  相似文献

To understand the factors that control the activation barrier of type‐I 1,2‐dyotropic reactions (X‐EH2‐CH2‐X*→X*‐EH2‐CH2‐X, with E=C and Si, X=H, CH3, SiH3, F to I) and trends therein as a function of the migrating groups X, we have explored ten archetypal model reactions of this class using relativistic density functional theory (DFT) at ZORA‐OLYP/TZ2P. The main trends in reactivity are rationalized using the activation strain model of chemical reactivity, which had to be extended from bimolecular to unimolecular reactions. Thus, the above type‐I dyotropic reactions can be conceived as a relative rotation of the CH2CH2 and [X???X] fragments in X‐CH2‐CH2‐X. The picture that emerges from these analyses is that reduced C? X bonding in the transition state is the origin of the reaction barrier. Also the trends in reactivity on variation of X can be understood in terms of how sensitive the C? X interaction is towards adopting the transition‐state geometry. A valence bond analysis complements the analyses and confirms the picture emerging from the activation strain model.  相似文献

Solvation energies of lithium first-row compounds LiX (X ? H, Li, BeH, BH2, CH3, NH2, OH, F) and of the lithium cation with the model solvents, water and ammonia, have been calculated ab inito (MP2/6-31 + G*//6-31G* with zero-point vibrational energy corrections at 3-21G//3-21G). The solvation energies are found to be remarkably constant: ?18.0 ± 1.2 and ?21.5 ± 1.3 kcal/mol for the hydrates and ammonia solvates, respectively. This independence on the nature of X is due largely to the ionic character of the LiX compounds (dipole moments 4.7–6.6 debye). The unexpectedly high solvation energies of the lithium molecule (?14.3 and ?17.8 kcal/mol, respectively) are due to the polarizability of Li2. At the same level, the lithium cation has interaction energies with H2O and NH3 of ?34.1 and ?39.7 kcal/mol, respectively. For the hydrates of LiOH and LiF cyclic structures with hydrogen bonds and somewhat increased solvation energies also are described.  相似文献

For plasma enhanced and catalytic chemical vapor deposition (PECVD and Cat‐CVD) processes using small silanes as precursors, disilanyl radical (Si2H5) is a potential reactive intermediate involved in various chemical reactions. For modeling and optimization of homogeneous a‐Si:H film growth on large‐area substrates, we have investigated the kinetics and mechanisms for the thermal decomposition of Si2H5 producing smaller silicon hydrides including SiH, SiH2, SiH3, and Si2H4, and the related reverse reactions involving these species by using ab initio molecular‐orbital calculations. The results show that the lowest energy path is the production of SiH + SiH4 that proceeds via a transition state with a barrier of 33.4 kcal/mol relative to Si2H5. Additionally, the dissociation energies for breaking the Si? Si and H? SiH2 bonds were predicted to be 53.4 and 61.4 kcal/mol, respectively. To validate the predicted enthalpies of reaction, we have evaluated the enthalpies of formation for SiH, SiH2, HSiSiH2, and Si2H4(C2h) at 0 K by using the isodesmic reactions, such as 2HSiSiH2 + 1C2H61Si2H6 + 2HCCH2 and 1Si2H4(C2h) + 1C2H61Si2H6 + 1C2H4. The results of SiH (87.2 kcal/mol), SiH2 (64.9 kcal/mol), HSiSiH2 (98.0 kcal/mol), and Si2H4 (68.9 kcal/mol) agree reasonably well previous published data. Furthermore, the rate constants for the decomposition of Si2H5 and the related bimolecular reverse reactions have been predicted and tabulated for different T, P‐conditions with variational Rice–Ramsperger–Kassel–Marcus (RRKM) theory by solving the master equation. The result indicates that the formation of SiH + SiH4 product pair is most favored in the decomposition as well as in the bimolecular reactions of SiH2 + SiH3, HSiSiH2 + H2, and Si2H4(C2h) + H under T, P‐conditions typically used in PECVD and Cat‐CVD. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

The decomposition kinetics of disilane with added butadiene, trisilane both neat and with added butadiene, trimethylsilane or H2, and normal and iso-tetrasilane both neat and in the presence of added butadiene are reported. Arrhenius parameters of the primary dissociation reactions are determined: A-factors suggest that polysilane decompositions (1) have similar intrinsic activation entropies (ΔS? ≈? 6.2 ± 5 e.u.) and (2) have activation energies which increase with increasing reaction endothermicities. Relative trapping efficiencies of SiH4, Si2H6, Si3H8, C4H6, Me3SiH, and H2 toward SiH2 and SiH3SiH are also determined. Other results include the heat of formation of silylsilylene, ΔH ° f (SiH3SiH) = 75.3 Kcal/mol, and the activation energy for 1,1-H2 elimination from disilane (EH2 = 57.8 kcal/mol).  相似文献

Various criteria based on geometric, energetic, magnetic, and electronic properties are employed to delineate aromatic and antiaromatic systems. The recently proposed block-localized wave function (BLW) method evaluates the original Pauling-Wheland adiabatic resonance energy (ARE), defined as the energy difference between the real conjugated system and the corresponding virtual most stable resonance structure. The BLW-derived ARE of benzene is 57.5 kcal mol(-1) with the 6-311+G** basis set. Kistiakowsky's historical experimental evaluation of the stabilization energy of benzene (36 kcal mol(-1)), based on heats of hydrogenation, seriously underestimates this quantity due to the neglect of the partially counterbalancing hyperconjugative stabilization of cyclohexene, employed as the reference olefin (three times) in Kistiakowsky's evaluation. Based instead on the bond-separation-energy reaction involving ethene, which has no hyperconjugation, as well as methane and ethane, the experimental resonance energy of benzene is found to be 65.0 kcal mol(-1). We derived the "extra cyclic resonance energy" (ECRE) to characterize and measure the extra stabilization (aromaticity) of conjugated rings. ECRE is the difference between the AREs of a fully cyclically conjugated compound and an appropriate model with corresponding, but interrupted (acyclic) conjugation. Based on 1,3,5-hexatriene, which also has three double bonds, the ECRE of benzene is 36.7 kcal mol(-1), whereas based on 1,3,5,7-octatetraene, which has three diene conjugations, the ECRE of benzene is 25.7 kcal mol(-1). Computations on a series of aromatic, nonaromatic, and antiaromatic five-membered rings validate the BLW-computed resonance energies (ARE). ECRE data on the five-membered rings (derived from comparisons with acyclic models) correlate well with nucleus-independent chemical shift (NICS) and other quantitative aromaticity criteria. The ARE of cyclobutadiene is almost the same as butadiene but is 10.5 kcal mol(-1) less than 1,3,5-hexatriene, which also has two diene conjugations. The instability and high reactivity of cyclobutadiene thus mainly result from the sigma-frame strain and the pi-pi Pauli repulsion.  相似文献

Examination of the reactions of the long-lived (>0.5-s) radical cations of CD3CH2COOCH3 and CH3CH2COOCD3 indicates that the long-lived, nondecomposing methyl propionate radical cation CH3CH2C(O)OCH 3 isomerizes to its enol form CH3CH=C(OH)OCH 3 H isomerization ? ?32 kcal/mol) via two different pathways in the gas phase in a Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometer. A 1,4-shift of a β-hydrogen of the acid moiety to the carbonyl oxygen yields the distonic ion ·CH2CH2C+ (OH)OCH3 that then rearranges to CH3CH=C(OH)OCH 3 probably by consecutive 1,5- and 1,4-hydrogen shifts. This process is in competition with a 1,4-hydrogen transfer from the alcohol moiety to form another distonic ion, CH3CH2C+(OH)OCH 2 · , that can undergo a 1,4-hydrogen shift to form CH3CH=C(OH)OCH 3 . Ab initio molecular orbital calculations carried out at the UMP2/6-31G** + ZPVE level of theory show that the two distonic ions lie more than 16 kcal/mol lower in energy than CH3CH2C(O)OCH 3 . Hence, the first step of both rearrangement processes has a great driving force. The 1,4-hydrogen shift that involves the acid moiety is 3 kcal/mol more exothermic (ΔH isomerization=?16 kcal/mol) and is associated with a 4-kcal/mol lower barrier (10 kcal/mol) than the shift that involves the alcohol moiety. Indeed, experimental findings suggest that the hydrogen shift from the acid moiety is likely to be the favored channel.  相似文献

Differences between SiH+5 and CH+5 are more significant than the similarities. The proton affinity of SiH4 exceeds than of CH4 by ≈25 kcal/mol. but the heat of hydrogenation of SiH+3 is smaller than that of CH+3 by nearly the same amount. Like CH+5 the C5 structures of SiH+5 are preferred, but SiH+5 is best regarded as a weaker SiH+3—H2 complex. D3h, C2v, and C4v forms are much higher in energy and SiH+5 should not undergo hydrogen scrambling (pseudorotation) readily, as does CH+5 The neutral BH5 is only weakly bound toward loss H2, and the D3h. C2v, and C4v forms are also high in energy. The contral-atom electronegativities, C+ > B > Si+, control this behavior. The electronegativities also determine the ability to bear positive charges. Thermodynamically. SiH+5 and SiH+3 are more stable than CH+5 and CH+3, respectively; hydride transfer occurs from SiH4 to CH+3 and proton transfer from CH+5 to SiH4.  相似文献

The mechanisms of double proton shift in associates HC(O)OH ... X of formic acid with hydrides (X = SiH4, PH3, PH5, H2S, SH4, CIH, and CIH3) were studied by theab initio method (SCF/3G*). The activation barriers to this reaction in associates with PH3, H2S, SH4, CIH, and CIH3 are equal to 68.3, 10.0, 26.0, 1.0, and 0.4 kcal mol–1, respectively. For X = SiH4 and PHS5 transition states for the double proton shift were not determined, and in all of the other cases studied they are synchronous (concerted or one-step).Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Post Hartree–Fock and DFT calculations have been performed for studying the possibility for a benzene support to be linked to various hydrides through a quasi Bz···H? A bond. Interaction energy of compounds, including C? H bonds (CH4, CH3F, CH2O, CHN, CHN? O), N? H bonds (NH3, NH2F, NHC, NHCO, NH3O), and O? H bonds (OH2, OHF, NCOH), were evaluated, taking basis set superposition error (BSSE) and zero point vibrational energy (ZPVE) corrections into account. Numerical convergence of results with respect to the ingredients included at different steps of theory (basis set, DFT functionals, correlation treatments, geometry optimization) was tested mainly on the example of the water adduct and, for comparison, the Bz···H3O+ system containing a cation instead of a neutral molecule. A rather large range of adsorption energies is obtained, from about 1 kcal/mol for methane to more than 6 kcal/mol for cyanic acid, according to the acidic character of the adsorbed species in each family of Bz···H? A bonds. Some consequences for astrophysical problems involving PAHs in the interstellar medium are pointed out. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Quantum Chem, 2008  相似文献

Geometries have been optimized using molecular-orbital calculations (a) with a 4-31G Gaussian basis set for carbanions CH2X? where X = H, CH3, NH2, OH, F, C?CH, CH?CH2, CHO, COCH3, CN, and NO2; and (b) with an STO -3G basis set for methyl acetate and acetyl deprotonated methyl acetate. All the carbanions containing unsaturated substituents are planar, with a considerable shortening of the C? X bond. Carbanions containing saturated substituents are pyramidal with the out-of-plane angle α increasing with the electronegativity of the substituent. Double-zeta basis set calculations give proton affinities over the range 449 (for CH3CH2?) to 355 kcal/mol (for CH2NO2?), with all unsaturated anions having smaller affinities than saturated anions. The correlation of proton affinities with 1s binding energies, and with charges on both the carbon of the anion and on the acidic proton of the neutral molecule are examined.  相似文献

The geometries of the amines NH2X and amido anions NHX?, where X = H, CH3, NH2, OH, F, C2H, CHO, and CN have been optimized using ab initio molecular orbital calculations with a 4-31G basis set. The profiles to rotation about the N? X bonds in CH3NH?, NH2NH?, and HONH? are very similar to those for the isoprotic and isoelectronic neutral compounds CH3OH, NH2OH, and HOOH. The amines with unsaturated bonds adjacent to the nitrogen atoms undergo considerable skeletal rearrangement on deprotonation such that most of the negative charge of the anion is on the substituent. The computed order of acidity for the amines NH2X is X = CN > HCO > F ≈ C2H > OH > NH2 > CH3 > H and for the reaction NHX? + H+ → NH2X the computed energies vary over the range 373–438 kcal/mol.  相似文献

Ab initio calculations at the 4-31G level are carried out on the species SiHn (n = 0 to 4) and the corresponding ions. SiH+4 is found to distort from Td to D2d. C2v, and C3v, with the latter structure being the lowest in energy by 11 kcal/mole. Consistent with experimental mass spectroscopy, SiH+4 is found to be much less stable to dissociation than CH+4.  相似文献

Ab initio HF and Cl calculations were performed to determine the equilibrium geometry of SiH?5 and SiH?3, the barrier for internal rotation (SiH?5) and inversion (SiH?3) and the stability of SiH?5 and further to study the effect of electron correlation on reaction energies. The gaussian-type basis included d and f functions on Si and a p set on II. The D3h structures of SiH?5 is lower in energy than the C4v structure by 2.9(3.2) kcal/mol (corresponding HF results in parentheses). SiH?3 has C3v structure, the inner-ion barrier computed is 26.2 (27.3) kcal/mol. SiH?5 turns out to be stable with respect to SiH4 + H? by 20.3 (13.8) kcal/mol, but it is unstable with respect to SiH?3 ← H2 by 6.3 (5.6) kcal/mol. These results show that electron correlation has a small effect on barriers of inversion (SiH?3) or pseudorotation (SiH?5), but may have a pronounced effect on reaction energies even if all systems involved have closed shells. The correlation energy contributions are analyzed in terms of intrapair and interpair terms in order to get a better understanding of the influence of correlation on reaction and activation energies.  相似文献
