Cadmium(II) complexes of ethyl 4-hydroxy-3,5-bis(((2-hydroxyethyl)(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)amino)methyl)benzoate (CO(2)EtH(3)L1) and ethyl 4-hydroxy-3,5-bis(((2-methoxyethyl)(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)amino)methyl)benzoate (CO(2)EtHL2) are described. The two ligands possess an ethyl ester (CO(2)Et-) at the position para to the phenolic -OH; CO(2)EtHL2, with methyl ether donors in contrast to potentially nucleophilic alkoxide donors in CO(2)EtH(3)L1, offers a direct comparison of potential ligand-centered nucleophiles. The complex with CO(2)EtH(3)L1 was characterized using (1)H and (13)C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and microanalysis; X-ray crystallography defined a tetranuclear structure [Cd(4)(CO(2)EtH(2)L1)(2)(CH(3)COO)(3.75)Cl(0.25)(H(2)O)(2)](PF(6))(2). Functional studies of the cadmium(II) complexes were undertaken with the substrates bis(2,4-dinitrophenyl)phosphate (BDNPP), and nitrocefin to assess their phosphatase and β-lactamase activities, respectively. The complexes with CO(2)EtH(3)L1 and CO(2)EtHL2 are competent phosphoesterase mimics with K(M) = 9.4 ± 2.1 mM and 10.1 ± 3.4 mM, k(cat) = 9.4 ± 0.2 × 10(-3) s(-1) and 9.7 ± 2.7 × 10(-3) s(-1), respectively. Use of a solvent mixture containing H(2)(18)O/H(2)(16)O in the reaction with BDNPP showed that for the complex with CO(2)EtH(3)L1 the (18)O label was incorporated in the reaction product suggesting that the nucleophile involved is a Cd-OH moiety and not a metal bound alkoxide; for CO(2)EtHL2 the presence of the methyl-ether dictates that the active nucleophile must also be a hydroxide. The cadmium(II) complex with CO(2)EtH(3)L1 was furthermore found to be a competent β-lactamase mimic with k(cat) = 1.39 × 10(-2) ± 3 × 10(-3) s(-1), K(M) = 0.11 ± 0.03 mM, and pK(a) = 7.9 ± 0.1. Mass spectral evidence suggested that the active nucleophile in this reaction is the alkoxide; lack of β-lactamase activity of the complex with CO(2)EtHL2 supports this assignment. Similar to enzyme-catalyzed reactions, a blue reaction intermediate in the β-lactamase reaction of the CO(2)EtH(3)L1 complex was also identified. It is proposed that the Cd(II) complexes of CO(2)EtH(3)L1 and CO(2)EtHL2 react identically as phosphatases, with a terminal hydroxide as the nucleophile; the former exhibits β-lactamase activity with the alkoxide as a nucleophile, while the latter, without a potentially nucleophilic alkoxide, is inactive.  相似文献

The reaction equilibria [H(4)L](2+) + Zn(OAc)(2) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(H(2)L)](2+) + 2HOAc (K(1)) and [Zn(H(2)L)](2+) + Zn(OAc)(2) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(2)L](2+) + 2HOAc (K(2)), involving zinc acetate and the perchlorate salts of the tetraiminodiphenol macrocycles [H(4)L(1)(-)(3)](ClO(4))(2), the lateral (CH(2))(n)() chains of which vary between n = 2 and n = 4, have been studied by spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric titrations in acetonitrile. The photoluminescence behavior of the complexes [Zn(2)L(1)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-O(2)CR)](ClO(4)) (R = CH(3), C(6)H(5), p-CH(3)C(6)H(4), p-OCH(3)C(6)H(4), p-ClC(6)H(4), p-NO(2)C(6)H(4)), and [Zn(2)L(3)(mu-OAc)](ClO(4)) have been investigated. The X-ray crystal structures of the complexes [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(3)(mu-OAc)](ClO(4)), and [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(OBz)(H(3)O)](ClO(4)) have been determined. The complex [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(OBz)(H(3)O)](ClO(4)) in which the coordinated water molecule is present as the hydronium ion (H(3)O(+)) on deprotonation gives rise to the neutral dibenzoate-bridged compound [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(2)].H(2)O. The equilibrium constants (K) for the reaction [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) + A(-) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(2)L(2)A](+) + 2H(2)O (K), where A(-) = acetate, benzoate, or the carboxylate moiety of the amino acids glycine, l-alanine, l-histidine, l-valine, and l-proline, have been determined spectrofluorimetrically in aqueous solution (pH 6-7) at room temperature. The binding constants (K) evaluated for these systems vary in the range (1-8) x 10(5).  相似文献

Mononuclear ruthenium complexes [RuCl(L1)(CH(3)CN)(2)](PF(6)) (2a), [RuCl(L2)(CH(3)CN)(2)](PF(6)) (2b), [Ru(L1)(CH(3)CN)(3)](PF(6))(2) (4a), [Ru(L2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](PF(6))(2) (4b), [Ru(L2)(2)](PF(6))(2) (5), [RuCl(L1)(CH(3)CN)(PPh(3))](PF(6)) (6), [RuCl(L1)(CO)(2)](PF(6)) (7), and [RuCl(L1)(CO)(PPh(3))](PF(6)) (8), and a tetranuclear complex [Ru(2)Ag(2)Cl(2)(L1)(2)(CH(3)CN)(6)](PF(6))(4) (3) containing 3-(1,10-phenanthrolin-2-yl)-1-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)imidazolylidene (L1) and 3-butyl-1-(1,10-phenanthrolin-2-yl)imidazolylidene (L2) have been prepared and fully characterized by NMR, ESI-MS, UV-vis spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography. Both L1 and L2 act as pincer NNC donors coordinated to ruthenium (II) ion. In 3, the Ru(II) and Ag(I) ions are linked by two bridging Cl(-) through a rhomboid Ag(2)Cl(2) ring with two Ru(II) extending to above and down the plane. Complexes 2-8 show absorption maximum over the 354-428 nm blueshifted compared to Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) due to strong σ-donating and weak π-acceptor properties of NHC ligands. Electrochemical studies show Ru(II)/Ru(III) couples over 0.578-1.274 V.  相似文献

Reactions of lanthanide perchlorates and manganese acetate with Schiff-base ligand (H(4)L = 2-(((2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)methylene)amino)-2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol) in methanol in the presence of triethylamine yielded two hexanuclear heterometallic clusters of general formula [Mn(4)(ΙΙΙ)Ln(2)(ΙΙΙ)(H(2)L)(2)(HL)(2)(CH(3)COO)(4)(CH(3)O)(2)(CH(3)OH)(4)](ClO(4))(2)·6CH(3)OH [Ln = La(ΙΙΙ) (1), Nd(ΙΙΙ) (2)]. 1 and 2 are isostructural, with the metal centres consisting of a nonplanar [Mn(4)(ΙΙΙ)Ln(2)(ΙΙΙ)(μ(2)-O)(8)(μ(3)-OR)(2)](8+) core. Variable-temperature solid state magnetic susceptibilities measurements of 1 and 2 in the temperature 2-300 K were performed, indicating dominant antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the metal centres in both compounds. Alternating current (ac) susceptibility data for 2 displays out-of-phase signal suggesting slow relaxation of magnetization whereas no out-of-phase signal is observed in 1, highlighting the incorporation of lighter lanthanide leads to SMM property.  相似文献

A novel, and quite general, approach for the preparation of tris(heteroleptic) ruthenium(II) complexes is reported. Using this method, which is based on photosubstitution of carbonyl ligands in precursors such as [Ru(bpy)(CO)(2)Cl(2)] and [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(CO)(2)](PF(6))(2), mononuclear and dinuclear Ru(II) tris(heteroleptic) polypyridyl complexes containing the bridging ligands 3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (Hbpt) and 3,5-bis(pyrazin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (Hbpzt) have been prepared. The complexes obtained were purified by column chromatography and characterized by HPLC, mass spectrometry, 1H NMR, absorption and emission spectroscopy and by electrochemical methods. The X-ray structures of the compounds [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(bpt)](PF(6))x0.5C(4)H(10)O [1x0.5C(4)H(10)O], [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(bpzt)](PF(6))xH(2)O (2xH(2)O) and [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(CH(3)CN)(2)](PF(6))(2)xC(4)H(10)O (6xC(4)H(10)O) are reported. The synthesis and characterisation of the dinuclear analogues of 1 and 2, [{Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)}(2)bpt](PF(6))(3)x2H(2)O (3) and [{Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)}(2)bpzt](PF(6))(3) (4), are also described.  相似文献

A new Zn(2+) fluorescent chemosensor N'-(3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene)-2-hydroxybenzoylhydrazine (H(3)L(1)) and its complexes [Zn(HL(1))C(2)H(5)OH](∞) (1) and [Cu(HL(1))(H(2)O)]CH(3)OH (2) have been synthesized and characterized in terms of their crystal structures, absorption and emission spectra. H(3)L(1) displays high selectivity for Zn(2+) over Na(+), K(+), Mg(2+), Ca(2+) and other transition metal ions in Tris-HCl buffer solution (pH = 7.13, EtOH-H(2)O = 8?:?2 v/v). To obtain insight into the relation between the structure and selectivity, a similar ligand 3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene benzoylhydrazine (H(2)L(2)), which lacks the hydroxyl group substituent in salicyloyl hydrazide compared with H(3)L(1), and its complex [Zn(2)(HL(2))(2)(CH(3)COO)(2)(C(2)H(5)OH)] (3), [Co(L(2))(2)][Co(DMF)(4)(C(2)H(5)OH)(H(2)O)] (4), [Fe(HL(2))(2)]Cl·2CH(3)OH (5), have also been investigated as a reference. H(3)L(1) exhibits improved selectivity for Zn(2+) compared to H(2)L(2). The findings indicate that the hydroxyl group substituent exerts an effect on the spectroscopic properties, complex structures and selectivity of the fluorescent sensor.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of six novel mononuclear Mn(II) and Mn(III) complexes are presented. The tripodal ligands 2-((bis(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)amino)methyl)-4-nitrophenol (HL1), 2-[[((6-methylpyridin-2-yl)methyl)(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)amino]methyl]-4-nitrophenol (HL2), (2-pyridylmethyl)(6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)(2-hydroxybenzyl)amine (HL3) and 2-((bis(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)amino)methyl)-4-bromophenol were used. All ligands provide an N3O donor set. The compounds [Mn(II)(HL1)Cl2].CH3OH (1), [Mn(III)(L1)Cl2] (2), [Mn(II)(HL2)(EtOH)Cl2] (3), [Mn(II)(HL3)Cl2].CH3OH (4), [Mn(III)(HL4)Br2] (5) and [Mn(III)(L1)(tcc)] (6), with tcc = tetrachlorocatecholate dianion, were synthesized and characterized by various techniques such as X-ray crystallography, mass spectrometry, IR and UV-vis spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and elemental analysis. Compound 1 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1, compounds 2, 3 and 4 were solved in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, whereas the structure determination of and succeeded in the orthorhombic space groups Pbca and P2(1)2(1)2(1), respectively. Notably, the crystal structures of 1 and 3 are the first Mn(II) complexes featuring a non-coordinating phenol moiety. Compound 2 oxidizes 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol to 3,5-di-tert-butylquinone exhibiting saturation kinetics at high substrate concentrations with a turnover number of kcat = 173 h(-1). The electronic influence of different substituents in para position of the phenol group is lined out.  相似文献

A family of hexa-coordinated ruthenium(II) complexes of bis(N-pyridylimidazolylidenyl)methane (L) were prepared and structurally characterized. Carbene transfer reactions of [Ru(p-cymene)Cl(2)](2), [Ru(CO)(2)Cl(2)](n) and RuHCl(CO)(PPh(3))(3) with silver-NHC complexes in situ generated from [H(2)L](PF(6))(2) and Ag(2)O afforded [RuL(CH(3)CN)(2)](PF(6))(2) (1), [Ru(2)L(p-cymene)(2)Cl(2)](PF(6))(2) (2), [RuL(CO)(2)](PF(6))(2) (3) and [RuL(PPh(3))(2)](PF(6))(2) (4), respectively. The reactions of 1 towards several N- and P-donors were studied. The treatment of 1 with 1,10-phenanthroline resulted in the substitution of one pyridine and one acetonitrile molecule affording [RuL(phen)(CH(3)CN)](PF(6))(2) (5) as a mixture of two isomers. Reaction of 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe) and 1 gave [RuL(dppe)(CH(3)CN)(2)](PF(6))(2) (7), in which two pyridines were substituted by a dppe ligand trans to two NHC groups. In contrast, reactions of 1 with ethane-1,2-diamine, propane-1,3-diamine and 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole led to the substitution of acetonitrile and subsequent N-H addition of the C≡N bond of the coordinated acetonitrile yielding [RuL(ethane-1,2-diamine)(N-(2-aminoethyl)acetimidamide)](PF(6))(2) (8), [RuL(propane-1,3-diamine)(N-(3-aminopropyl)acetimidamide)](PF(6))(2) (9) and RuL(1-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)ethanimine)(CH(3)CN)](PF(6))(2) (10), respectively.  相似文献

The complex [Rh(kappa(3)-N,N,N-pybox)(CO)][PF(6)] (1) has been prepared by reaction of the precursor [Rh(mu-Cl)(eta(2)-C(2)H(4))(2)](2), 2,6-bis[4'(S)-isopropyloxazolin-2'-yl]pyridine (pybox), CO, and NaPF(6). Complex 1 reacts with monodentate phosphines to give the complexes [Rh(kappa(1)-N-pybox)(CO)(PR(3))(2)][PF(6)] (R(3) = MePh(2) (2), Me(2)Ph (3), (C(3)H(5))Ph(2) (4)), which show a previously unseen monodentate coordination of pybox. Complex 1 undergoes oxidative addition reactions with iodine and CH(3)I leading to the complexes [RhI(R)(kappa(3)-N,N,N-pybox)(CO)][PF(6)] (R = I (5); R = CH(3) (6)). Furthermore, a new allenyl Rh(III)-pybox complex of formula [Rh(CH=C=CH(2))Cl(2)(kappa(3)-N,N,N-pybox)] (7) has been synthesized by a one-pot reaction from [Rh(mu-Cl)(eta(2)-C(2)H(4))(2)](2), pybox, and an equimolar amount of propargyl chloride.  相似文献

In this paper, we report a novel synthesis of anhydrous 1-hydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-piperidine (TEMPO-H). An X-ray crystal structure and full characterization of the compound are included. Compared to hydrated TEMPO-H, its anhydrous form exhibits improved stability and a differing chemical reactivity. The reactions of anhydrous TEMPO-H with a variety of low-valent carbon centres are described. For example, anhydrous TEMPO-H was reacted with 1,3-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene (IMes), an unsaturated NHC. Crystals of [CHNC(6)H(2)(CH(3))(3)](2)C···HO(NC(5)H(6)(CH(3))(4)), IMes···TEMPO-H, were isolated and a crystal structure determined. The experimental structure is compared to the results of theoretical calculations on the hydrogen-bonded dimer. Anhydrous TEMPO-H was also reacted with the saturated NHC, 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolidin-2-ylidene (SIPr), giving the product [CH(2)Ni-Pr(2)C(6)H(3)](2)CH···O(NC(5)H(6)(CH(3))(4)). In contrast, the reaction of hydrated TEMPO-H with 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolidin-2-ylidene gave small amounts of the hydrolysis product, N-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-N-[2-(2,6-diisopropylphenylamino)ethyl]formamide. Finally, anhydrous TEMPO-H was reacted with (triphenylphosphoranylidene)ketene to generate Ph(3)PC(H)C(=O)O(NC(5)H(6)(CH(3))(4)). A full characterization of the product, including an X-ray crystal structure, is described.  相似文献

New homo trinuclear Zn(II) complexes [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O, 1, and [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)].ClO(4).PF(6).5CH(3)OH.H(2)O, 2, and hetero trinuclear complex [Zn(2)CuL(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O,3, of optically active hexaaza triphenolic macrocycle H(3)L(1) were synthesized and crystallographically characterized. The cation [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](+) structure of 1 and 2 closely resembles the trinuclear Zn(II) active site of P1 nuclease. The distorted tetrahedral geometry of Zn3 was successfully reproduced at Cu1 in complex 3. The complexes 2 and 3 cleave CT DNA at 37 and 50 degrees C.  相似文献

To explore the relationships between the structures of ligands and their complexes, we have synthesized and characterized a series of metal complexes with two structurally related ligands, 9-acridinecarboxylic acid (HL(1)) and 4-quinolinecarboxylate acid (HL(2)), [Cu(2)(mu(2)-OMe)(2)(L(1))(2)(H(2)O)(0.69)](n) 1, [Cu(2)(L(1))(4)(CH(3)OH)(2)] 2, [Cu(3)(L(1))(6)(CH(3)OH)(6)].3H(2)O 3, [Mn(3)(L(1))(6)(CH(3)OH)(6)].3H(2)O 4, [Co(3)(L(1))(6)(CH(3)OH)(6)].3H(2)O 5, [Cu(L(2))(2)](n) 6, [Mn(L(2))(2)(H(2)O)](n) 7, and [Co(L(2))(2)(H(2)O)](n) 8. 1 is a three-dimensional (3D) polymer with an interpenetrating NbO type network showing one-dimensional (1D) channels, whereas 2 and 3 take bi- and trinuclear structures, respectively, because of the differences in basicity of the reaction systems in preparing the three complexes. 4 and 5 have trinuclear structures similar to that of 3. In 1-5, ligand L(1) performs different coordination modes with N,O-bridging in 1 and O,O'-bridging in 2-5, and the metal ions also show different coordination geometries: square planar in 1, square pyramidal in 2, and octahedral in 3-5. 6 has a two-dimensional structure containing (4,4) grids in which L(2) adopts the N,O-bridging mode and the Cu(II) center takes square planar geometry. 7 and 8 are isostructural complexes showing 1D chain structures, with L(2) adopting the O,O-bridging mode. In addition, the intermolecular O-H...N hydrogen bonds and pi-pi stacking interactions further extend the complexes (except 1 and 6), forming 3D structures. The magnetic properties of 2-7 have been investigated and discussed in detail.  相似文献

Zinc ion fluorescence sensing and the binding properties of 4-methyl-2,6-bis(((phenylmethyl)imino)methyl)phenol (HL) have been investigated. It displays high selectivity for Zn2+ and can be used as zinc ion-selective luminescent probe for biological application under physiological conditions. The increase in emission in the presence of Zn2+ is accounted for by the formation of hexanuclear complex [Zn6(L)2(OH)2(CH3COO)8] characterized by X-ray crystallography. An approximately 6-fold Zn2+-selective chelation-enhanced fluorescence response in HEPES buffer (pH 7.4) is attributed due to the strong coordination of Zn(II) that would impose rigidity and hence decrease the nonradiative decay of the excited state. By incubation of cultured living cells (B16F10 mouse melanoma and A375 human melanoma) with HL, intracellular Zn2+ concentration could be monitored.  相似文献

Reactions of Cd(NO(3))(2)·4H(2)O with TabHPF(6) (TabH = 4-(trimethylammonio)benzenethiol) and Et(3)N in the presence of NH(4)SCN and five other N-donor ligands such as 2,2'-bipyridine (2,2'-bipy), phenanthroline (phen), 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (2,9-dmphen), 2,6-bis(pyrazd-3-yl)pyridine (bppy) and 2,6-bis(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine (bdmppy) gave rise to a family of Cd(II)/thiolate complexes of N-donor ligands, {[Cd(2)(μ-Tab)(4)(NCS)(2)](NO(3))(2)·MeOH}(n) (1), [Cd(2)(μ-Tab)(2)(L)(4)](PF(6))(4) (2: L = 2,2'-bipy; 3: L = phen), [Cd(Tab)(2)(L)](PF(6))(2) (4: L = 2,9-dmphen; 5: L = bppy), and [Cd(2)(μ-Tab)(2)(Tab)(2)(bdmppy)](2)(PF(6))(8)·H(2)O (6·H(2)O). These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, UV-Vis spectra, (1)H NMR, electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. For 1, each [Cd(NCS)](+) fragment is connected to its equivalents via a pair of Tab bridges to a one-dimensional chain. For 2 and 3, two [Cd(2,2'-bipy)(2)](2+) or [Cd(phen)(2)](2+) units are linked by a pair of Tab bridges to form a cationic dimeric structure. The Cd atom in [Cd(Tab)(2)(L)](2+) dication of 4 or 5 is coordinated by two Tab ligands and chelated by two N atoms from 2,9-dmphen (4) or three N atoms from bppy (5), forming a distorted tetrahedral (4) or trigonal bipyramidal (5) coordination geometry. For 6, each of two [Cd(Tab)(bdmppy)] fragments is linked to one [(Tab)Cd(μ-Tab)(2)Cd(Tab)] fragment via two Tab bridges to generate a unique cationic zigzag tetrameric structure where the Cd centers take a tetrahedral or a trigonal bipyramidal coordination geometry. The results may provide an interesting insight into mimicking the coordination spheres of the Cd(II) sites of metallothioneins and their interactions with various N-donor ligands encountered in nature.  相似文献

The structure and electrochemical properties of a series of bis(imino)pyridine Co(II) complexes (NNN)CoX(2) and [(NNN)(2)Co][PF(6)](2) (NNN = 2,6-bis[1-(4-R-phenylimino)ethyl]pyridine, with R = CN, CF(3), H, CH(3), OCH(3), N(CH(3))(2); NNN = 2,6-bis[1-(2,6-(iPr)(2)-phenylimino)ethyl]pyridine and X = Cl, Br) were studied using a combination of electrochemical and theoretical methods. Cyclic voltammetry measurements and DFT/B3LYP calculations suggest that in solution (NNN)CoCl(2) complexes exist in equilibrium with disproportionation products [(NNN)(2)Co](2+) [CoCl(4)](2-) with the position of the equilibrium heavily influenced by both the solvent polarity and the steric and electronic properties of the bis(imino)pyridine ligands. In strong polar solvents (e.g., CH(3)CN or H(2)O) or with electron donating substituents (R = OCH(3) or N(CH(3))(2)) the equilibrium is shifted and only oxidation of the charged products [(NNN)(2)Co](2+) and [CoCl(4)](2-) is observed. Conversely, in nonpolar organic solvents such as CH(2)Cl(2) or with electron withdrawing substituents (R = CN or CF(3)), disproportionation is suppressed and oxidation of the (NNN)CoCl(2) complexes leads to 18e(-) Co(III) complexes stabilized by coordination of a solvent moiety. In addition, the [(NNN)(2)Co][PF(6)](2) complexes exhibit reversible Co(II/III) oxidation potentials that are strongly dependent on the electron withdrawing/donating nature of the N-aryl substituents, spanning nearly 750 mV in acetonitrile. The resulting insight on the regulation of redox properties of a series of bis(imino)pyridine cobalt(II) complexes should be particularly valuable to tune suitable conditions for reactivity.  相似文献

Different coordination polymers were obtained by the reaction of (benzoic acid) chromium tricarbonyl with zinc acetate in the presence of various organic dipyridyl linkers. Depending on the nature of the linker either monomeric or polymeric compounds were obtained. Reactions of (benzoic acid) chromium tricarbonyl with zinc acetate and bidentate pyridine based ligands 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy), 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane (bpe), 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane (tmdp), and 2,2'dipyridylamine (DPA) afforded the novel coordination polymers [Zn[{η(6)-C(6)H(5)COO}Cr(CO)(3)](2)(4,4'-bipy)](n), [Zn[{η(6)-C(6)H(5)COO}Cr(CO)(3)](2)(bpe)](n), [Zn[{η(6)-C(6)H(5)COO}Cr(CO)(3)](2)(tmdp)}](n), and the monomeric complex [Zn[{η(6)-C(6)H(5)COO}Cr(CO)(3)](2)(DPA)]. The solid state structures of all compounds were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. By using 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane as a linker a chiral infinite helical structure was formed in the solid state. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) studies showed that upon heating the carbonyl groups of the {η(6)-C(6)H(5)COO}Cr(CO)(3) anion were lost before the organic ligand sphere was thermally decomposed.  相似文献

Anion metathesis of 3·[OTf](2) with HPF(6) and HBF(4) gave 3·[PF(6)](2) and 3·[BF(4)](2), respectively. Similarly, the PF(6)(-) salt 4·[PF(6)](2) was prepared by the reaction of 4·[OTf](2) with HPF(6). The irradiation of [L(OEt)Ru(NO)Cl(2)] (1) with UV light in CH(2)Cl(2)-MeCN and tetrahydrofuran (thf)-H(2)O afforded [L(OEt)RuCl(2)(MeCN)] (5) and the chloro-bridged dimer [L(OEt)RuCl](2)(μ-Cl)(2) (6), respectively. The photolysis of complex [2][OTf](2) in MeCN gave [L(OEt)Ru(dtbpy)(MeCN)][OTf](2) (7). Refluxing complex 5 with RNH(2) in thf gave [L(OEt)RuCl(2)(NH(2)R)] (R = tBu (8), p-tol (9), Ph (10)). The oxidation of complex 6 with PhICl(2) gave [L(OEt)RuCl(3)] (11), whereas the reduction of complex 6 with Zn and NH(4)PF(6) in MeCN yielded [L(OEt)Ru(MeCN)(3)][PF(6)] (12). The reaction of 3·[BF(4)](2) with benzylamine afforded the μ-dinitrogen complex [{L(OEt)Ru(bpy)}(2)(μ-N(2))][BF(4)](2) (13) that was oxidized by [Cp(2)Fe]PF(6) to a mixed valence Ru(II,III) species. The formal potentials of the RuL(OEt) complexes have been determined by cyclic voltammetry. The structures of complexes 5,6,10,11 and 13 have been established by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献
