In Homma M and Kim SJ [2], the authors considered two-point codes on a Hermitian curve defined over fields of odd characteristic. In this paper, we study the geometry of a Hermitian curve over fields of even characteristic and classify the two-point codes whose minimum distances agree with the designed ones.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the algebraic geometry of any two-point code on the Hermitian curve and reveal the purely geometric nature of their dual minimum distance. We describe the minimum-weight codewords of many of their dual codes through an explicit geometric characterization of their supports. In particular, we show that they appear as sets of collinear points in many cases.  相似文献

In this paper, algebraic-geometric (AG) codes associated with the GGS maximal curve are investigated. The Weierstrass semigroup at all \(\mathbb F_{q^2}\)-rational points of the curve is determined; the Feng-Rao designed minimum distance is computed for infinite families of such codes, as well as the automorphism group. As a result, some linear codes with better relative parameters with respect to one-point Hermitian codes are discovered. Classes of quantum and convolutional codes are provided relying on the constructed AG codes.  相似文献

We show the main features of the MATLAB code HOFiD_UP for solving second order singular perturbation problems. The code is based on high order finite differences, in particular on the generalized upwind method. Within its simplicity, it uses order variation and continuation for solving any difficult nonlinear scalar problem. Several numerical tests on linear and nonlinear problems are considered. The best performances are reported on problems with perturbation parameters near the machine precision, where most of the codes for two-point BVPs fail.  相似文献

Algebraic geometric codes (or AG codes) provide a way to correct errors that occur during the transmission of digital information. AG codes on curves have been studied extensively, but much less work has been done for AG codes on higher dimensional varieties. In particular, we seek good bounds for the minimum distance.We study AG codes on anticanonical surfaces coming from blow-ups of P2 at points on a line and points on the union of two lines. We can compute the dimension of such codes exactly due to known results. For certain families of these codes, we prove an exact result on the minimum distance. For other families, we obtain lower bounds on the minimum distance.  相似文献

For the numerical solution of boundary value problems a global method, based on two-point Taylor formula is proposed. A Mathematica package to compute approximate solution of BVPs is presented.

In 1998 Høholdt, van Lint and Pellikaan introduced the concept of a “weight function” defined on a \({\mathbb{F}_q}\)-algebra and used it to construct linear codes, obtaining among them the algebraic geometry (AG) codes supported on one point. Later, in 1999, it was proved by Matsumoto that all codes produced using a weight function are actually AG codes supported on one point. Recently, “near weight functions” (a generalization of weight functions), also defined on a \({\mathbb{F}_q}\)-algebra, were introduced to study codes supported on two points. In this paper we show that an algebra admits a set of m near weight functions having a compatibility property, namely, the set is a “complete set”, if and only if it is the ring of regular functions of an affine geometrically irreducible algebraic curve defined over \({\mathbb{F}_q}\) whose points at infinity have a total of m rational branches. Then the codes produced using the near weight functions are exactly the AG codes supported on m points. A bound for the minimum distance of these codes is presented with examples which show that in some situations it compares better than the usual Goppa bound.  相似文献

This paper considers two-point boundary-value problems using the differential transformation method. An iterative procedure is proposed for both the linear and nonlinear cases. In this paper we study the dual codes of a wide family of evaluation codes on norm-trace curves. We explicitly find out their minimum distance and give a lower bound for the number of their minimum-weight codewords. A general geometric approach is performed and applied to study in particular the dual codes of one-point and two-point codes arising from norm-trace curves through Goppaʼs construction, providing in many cases their minimum distance and some bounds on the number of their minimum-weight codewords. The results are obtained by showing that the supports of the minimum-weight codewords of the studied codes obey some precise geometric laws as zero-dimensional subschemes of the projective plane. Finally, the dimension of some classical two-point Goppa codes on norm-trace curves is explicitely computed.  相似文献

In this paper, we present an efficient numerical algorithm for solving two-point linear and nonlinear boundary value problems, which is based on the Adomian decomposition method (ADM), namely, the extended ADM (EADM). The proposed method is examined by comparing the results with other methods. Numerical results show that the proposed method is much more efficient and accurate than other methods with less computational work.  相似文献

The theory of linear error-correcting codes from algebraic geometric curves (algebraic geometric (AG) codes or geometric Goppa codes) has been well-developed since the work of Goppa and Tsfasman, Vladut, and Zink in 1981–1982.
