Inferior rate capability is a big challenge for LiTi2(PO4)3 anode for aqueous lithium-ion batteries. Herein, to address such issue, we synthesized a high-performance LiTi2(PO4)3/carbon/carbon nanotube (LTP/C/CNT) composite by virtue of high-quality carbon coating and incorporation of good conductive network. The as-prepared LTP/C/CNT composite exhibits excellent rate performance with discharge capacity of 80.1 and 59.1 mAh g?1 at 10 C and 20 C (based on the mass of anode, 1 C = 150 mA g?1), much larger than that of the LTP/C composite (53.4 mAh g?1 at 10 C, and 31.7 mAh g?1 at 20 C). LTP/C/CNT also demonstrates outstanding cycling stability with capacity retention of 83.3 % after 1000 cycles at 5 C, superior to LTP/C without incorporation of CNTs (60.1 %). As verified, the excellent electrochemical performance of the LTP/C/CNT composite is attributed to the enhanced electrical conductivity, rapid charge transfer, and Li-ion diffusion because of the incorporation of CNTs.  相似文献

By employment of nano-sized pre-prepared Mn3O4 as precursor, LiMn2O4 particles have been successfully prepared by facile solid state method and sol-gel route, respectively. And the reaction mechanism of the used precursors of Mn3O4 is studied. The structure, morphology, and element distribution of the as-synthesized LiMn2O4 samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Compared with LiMn2O4 synthesized by facile solid state method (SS-LMO), LiMn2O4 synthesized by modified sol-gel route (SG-LMO) possesses higher crystallinity, smaller average particle size (~175 nm), higher lithium chemical diffusion coefficient (1.17 × 10?11 cm2 s?1), as well as superior electrochemical performance. For example, the cell based on SG-LMO can deliver a capacity of 85.5 mAh g?1 at a high rate of 5 °C, and manifests 88.3% capacity retention after 100 cycles at 0.5 °C when cycling at 45 °C. The good electrochemical performance of the cell based on SG-LMO is ascribed mainly to its small particle size, high degree of dispersion, and uniform element distribution in bulk material. In addition, the lower polarization potential accelerates Li+ ion migration, and the lower atom location confused degree maintains integrity of crystal structure, both of which can effectively improve the rate capability and cyclability of SG-LMO.  相似文献

A series of Li3V2(PO4)3/C composite cathodes have been prepared by the organic solvent replacement drying method. Five kinds of organic solvent including ethyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, 2-methoxyethanol, 1,2-propylene glycol, and ethylene glycol were used in the drying process to replace the water respectively. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and galvanostatic charge-discharge tests were employed to analyze the crystal structure, morphology, and electrochemical properties of the as-prepared materials. The results show that the organic solvent has a great influence on the secondary particle size of the as-synthesized materials. Special emphasis is placed on the sample prepared with 1,2-propylene glycol, which has the smallest average particle size and uniform distribution, thus leading to the best high rate performance and long-term cycling stability. The electrode exhibits average specific discharge capacities of 127.6, 128.3, 127.7, 126.7, 125.5, 124.4, 121.9, and 117.0 mAh g?1 at 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 10, and 20C, respectively. More encouragingly, this sample delivers an outstanding cycle life with capacity retention of up to 94.68% even after 1000 cycles at 20C. Moreover, EIS results demonstrate that this sample has the minimum resistance and the largest apparent lithium ion diffusion coefficient (1.569 × 10?7 cm2 s?1) which can facilitate to the Li+ diffusion during the charge/discharge process. Our results indicate that this preparation strategy can be facile and versatile for the synthesis of other high-rate and high-capacity intercalation materials.  相似文献

The pure phase P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 was synthesized by a solid reaction process. The optimum calcination temperature was 850 °C. The as-prepared product delivered a capacity of 158 mAh g?1 in the voltage range of 2–4.5 V, and there was a phase transition from P2 to O2 at about 4.2 V in the charge process. The P2 phase exhibited excellent intercalation behavior of Na ions. The reversible capacity is about 88.5 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C in the voltage range of 2–4 V at room temperature. At an elevated temperature of 55 °C, it could remain as an excellent capacity retention at low current rates. The P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 is a potential cathode material for sodium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Li-rich layered-layered-Spinel structure spherical Li1.3Mn4/6Ni1/6Co1/6O2.40 particles was successfully prepared and coated with a uniform layer by a two-step co-precipitation method and evaluated in lithium cells. The structures and electrochemical properties of pristine Li1.3Mn4/6Ni1/6Co1/6O2.40 and AlF3-coated Li1.3Mn4/6Ni1/6Co1/6O2.40 were characterized. When the coating amount was 2 wt%, the cathode showed the best cycling performance and rate capability compared to others. The AlF3-coated Li1.3Mn4/6Ni1/6Co1/6O2.40 Li-ion cell cathode had a capacity retention of 90.07 % after 50 cycles at 0.5 C over 2.0–4.8 V, while the pristine Li1.3Mn4/6Ni1/6Co1/6O2.40 exhibited capacity retention of only 80.73 %. Moreover, the rate capability and cyclic performance also improved. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy testing revealed that the improved electrochemical performance might attribute to the AlF3 coating layer which can suppress the increase of impedance during the charging and discharging process by preventing direct contact between the highly delithiated active material and electrolyte.  相似文献

The structure and morphology of sodium vanadium phosphate (Na3V2(PO4)3) play a vital role in enhancing the electrochemical performance of sodium-ion batteries due to the inherent poor electronic conductivity of the phosphate framework. In order to improve this drawback, a new chrysanthemum-structured Na3V2(PO4)3/C material has been successfully assembled with multi-hierarchical nanosheets via a hydrothermal method. Continuous scattering nanosheets in chrysanthemum petals are beneficial in reducing energy consumption during the process of sodium ion diffusion, on which the carbon-coated surface can significantly increase overall conductivity. The as-prepared sample exhibits outstanding electrochemical performance due to its unique structure. It rendered a high initial specific capacity of 117.4?mAh?g?1 at a current density of 0.05 C. Further increasing the current density to 10 C, the initial specific capacity still achieves 101.3?mAh?g?1 and remains at 87.5?mAh?g?1 after 1000 cycles. In addition, a symmetrical sodium-ion full battery using the chrysanthemum-structured Na3V2(PO4)3/C materials as both the cathode and anode has been successfully fabricated, delivering the capacity of 62?mAh?g?1 at 1?C and achieving the coulombic efficiency at an average of 96.4% within 100 cycles. These results indicate that the new chrysanthemum-structured Na3V2(PO4)3/C can provide a new idea for the development of high-performance sodium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Al-doped ZnO (AZO) was sputtered on the surface of LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 (NCM) thin film electrode via radio frequency magnetron sputtering, which was demonstrated to be a useful approach to enhance electrochemical performance of thin film electrode. The structure and morphology of the prepared electrodes were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometer, and transmission electron microscopy techniques. The results clearly demonstrated that NCM thin film showed a strong (104) preferred orientation and AZO was uniformly covered on the surface of NCM electrode. After 200 cycles at 50 μA μm?1 cm?2, the NCM/AZO-60s electrode delivered highest discharge capacity (78.1 μAh μm?1 cm?2) compared with that of the NCM/AZO-120s electrode (62.4 μAh μm?1 cm?2) and the bare NCM electrode (22.3 μAh μm?1 cm?2). In addition, the rate capability of the NCM/AZO-60s electrode was superior to the NCM/AZO-120s and bare NCM electrodes. The improved electrochemical performance can be ascribed to the appropriate thickness of the AZO coating layer, which not only acted as HF scavenger to keep a stable electrode/electrolyte interface but also reduced the charge transfer resistance during cycling.  相似文献

Nitrogen-doped anatase titanium oxide (N-TiO2) with enhanced electronic conductivity induced by titanium nitride (TiN) thin layer coating was employed as high-performance anode material for sodium-ion batteries. The TiN thin layer can not only dramatically increase the electronic conductivity among crystal grains but also alleviate the volume expansion to consolidate the structure during long-term sodiation and desodiation process. The composite exhibits an excellent electrochemical performance, delivering a high specific capacity of 226.9 mA h g?1 at 0.1 C and owning excellent rate capability of 158.3 mA h g?1 at 10 C high rate. Moreover, the composite has no obvious capacity decay after 500 cycles at 1 C, showing its superior cycling performance. The enhancement of electrochemical performance may be attributed to the faster kinetics of sodium ion sodiation/desodiation, which could be a result of enhanced electronic conductivity due to the formation of TiN thin layer coating.  相似文献

Carbon-coated olivine-structured LiFePO4/C composites are synthesized via an efficient and low-cost carbothermal reduction method using Fe2O3 as iron source at a relative low temperature (600 °C). The effects of two kinds of carbon sources, inorganic (acetylene black) and organic (sucrose), on the structures, morphologies, and lithium storage properties of LiFePO4/C are evaluated in details. The particle size and distribution of the carbon-coated LiFePO4 from sucrose (LiFePO4/SUC) are more uniform than that obtained from acetylene black (LiFePO4/AB). Moreover, the LiFePO4/SUC nanocomposite shows superior electrochemical properties such as high discharge capacity of 156 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C, excellent cyclic stability, and rate capability (78 mAh g?1 at 20 C), as compared to LiFePO4/AB. Cyclic voltammetric test discloses that the Li-ion diffusion, the reversibility of lithium extraction/insertion, and electrical conductivity are significantly improved in LiFePO4/SUC composite. It is believed that olivine-structured LiFePO4 decorated with carbon from organic carbon source (sucrose) using Fe2O3 is a promising cathode for high-power lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

A comparison of electrochemical performance between LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C and LiMnPO4/C cathode materials was conducted in this paper. The cathode samples were synthesized by a nano-milling-assisted solid-state process using caramel as carbon sources. The prepared samples were investigated by XRD, SEM, TEM, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX), powder conductivity test (PCT), carbon-sulfur analysis, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling. The results showed that LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C exhibited high specific capacity and high energy density. The initial discharge capacity of LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C was 163.6 mAh g?1 at 0.1C (1C = 160 mA g?1), compared to 112.3 mAh g?1 for LiMnPO4/C. Moreover, the Fe/Cr-substituted sample showed good cycle stability and rate performance. The capacity retention of LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C was 98.84 % over 100 charge-discharge cycles, while it was only 86.64 % for the pristine LiMnPO4/C. These results indicated that Fe/Cr substitution enhanced the electronic conductivity for the prepared sample and facilitated the Li+ diffusion in the structure. Furthermore, LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C composite presented high energy density (606 Wh kg?1) and high power density (574 W kg?1), thus suggested great potential application in lithium ion batteries (LIBs).  相似文献

Li1,3Ti0,7Al0,3(PO4)3 (LATP) powder was obtained by a conventional melt-quenching method and consolidated by field-assisted sintering technology (FAST) at different temperatures. Using this technique, the samples could be sintered to relative densities in the range of 93 to 99 % depending on the sintering conditions. Ionic and thermal conductivity were measured and the results are discussed under consideration of XRD and SEM analyses. Thermal conductivity values of 2 W/mK and ionic conductivities of 4?×?10?4 Scm?1 at room temperature were obtained using relatively large particles and a sintering temperature of 1000 °C at an applied uniaxial pressure of 50 MPa.  相似文献

A series of spherical LiNi0.8Co0.15Ti0.05O2 cathode materials were synthesized through co-oxidation-controlled crystallization method followed by solid-state reaction at different calcination temperatures under oxygen flowing. The crystal structure and particles morphology of the as-prepared powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. All samples correspond to the layered α-NaFeO2 structure with R-3m space group. The LiNi0.8Co0.15Ti0.05O2 prepared at 800 °C presents a better hexagonal ordering structure and better spherical particles and possesses a high tap density of 3.22 g cm?3. Meanwhile, the NCT-2 sample exhibits an advanced electrochemical performance with an initial discharge capacity of 174.2 mAh g?1 and capacity retention of 86.7 % after 30 cycles at 0.2 C.  相似文献

Effects of two different precipitants of Na2CO3 and Na2C2O4 on LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) cathode materials, which are prepared by a modified co-precipitation method, have been investigated. Various measurements have been applied to characterize the physical and electrochemical performances of LNMO. Compared with the LNMO prepared by the oxalate co-precipitation (LNMO2), the material synthesized by the carbonate co-precipitation (LNMO1) not only shows more uniform porosity and smaller particles but also has a better rate capability and cycling performance. In addition, the sample prepared by carbonate has a stable spherical structure, due to the fact that carbonate co-precipitation with less gas release during calcination can prevent the destruction of the as-prepared LNMO material structure and promote the formation of regular particle and aperture. Based on the electrochemical test results, LNMO1 shows greatly enhanced electrochemical performance of a high initial discharge capacity of 125.6 mAh g?1 at 0.25 °C, as well as a preferably capacity retention of 96.5% after 100 cycles at 0.5 °C. And even at a high rate of 10 °C, the discharge capacity of LNMO1-based cell still approaches 83.1 mAh g?1.  相似文献

Herein, we reported the synthesis of uniform LiMn2O4 submicroparticles by surfactant-assisted preparation of spherical MnCO3 precursor followed by solid-state reaction. Polyethylene glycol (Mw = 1000) was used as surfactant to control the morphology and size of the MnCO3 precursor as well as the MnO2 intermediate and LiMn2O4 product. The influence of particle size, homogeneity, and crystallinity on the electrochemical performance of LiMn2O4 was intensively investigated. The test results indicate that the LiMn2O4 sample using polyethylene glycol with weight as 10% of reactants shows the best rate capability and long-term cyclability. Due to the homogeneous particles with the average size of ca. 250 nm and high crystallinity, the discharge capacities are as high as 125, 118, 114, and 100 mAh g?1 at 1, 10, 20, and 50 C rates, respectively, along with high capacity retention of 74% after 1000 cycles at 20 C.  相似文献

C/FeOF/FeF3 nanocomposite was synthesized by a facile in situ partial oxidation method. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) showed a special texture comprised of interpenetrating nanodomains of FeOF and FeF3. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements revealed that the introduction of nanodomain FeOF enhanced both the electronic and ionic conductivity of the composite material. Therefore, the improvement of electron and lithium-ion dynamics resulted in the significant enhancement of the electrochemical performances of the material at ambient temperature. At a current density of 20 mA g?1 within potential range 1.5–4.5 V, the specific capacities of the first ten circles were maintained at about 400 mAh g?1 . This material also exhibited excellent cycling capacity retention capability especially for high C rates. When the current density further increased to 100 and 200 mA g?1, a steady capacity of 80 and 60 mAh g?1 was observed, respectively. Furthermore, nearly no capacity loss was observed for the followed cycles. The discharge platforms based on intercalation and conversion reaction were also heightened by about 0.4 V, which increased the contribution of high voltage capacities. Compared to C/FeF3, C/FeOF/FeF3 is showing more of capacitive behavior, which also contributes to the high specific capacity delivered and is believed to be closely related to the enlarged nanodomain interfaces between two electrochemical active materials. An expansion-cracking-oxidation mechanism was proposed to explain the formation of this interpenetrating nanodomains of FeOF and FeF3.  相似文献

A Co3O4/vapor-grown carbon fiber (VGCF) hybrid material is prepared by a facile approach, namely, via liquid-phase carbonate precipitation followed by thermal decomposition of the precipitate at 380 °C for 2 h in argon gas flow. The material is characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller specific surface area analysis, and carbon elemental analysis. The Co3O4 in the hybrid material exhibits the morphology of porous submicron secondary particles which are self assembled from enormous cubic-phase crystalline Co3O4 nanograins. The electrochemical performance of the hybrid as a high-capacity conversion-type anode material for lithium-ion batteries is investigated by cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and galvanostatic discharge/charge methods. The hybrid material demonstrates high specific capacity, good rate capability, and good long-term cyclability, which are far superior to those of the pristine Co3O4 material prepared under similar conditions. For example, the reversible charge capacities of the hybrid can reach 1100–1150 mAh g?1 at a lower current density of 0.1 or 0.2 A g?1 and remain 600 mAh g?1 at the high current density of 5 A g?1. After 300 cycles at 0.5 A g?1, a high charge capacity of 850 mAh g?1 is retained. The enhanced electrochemical performance is attributed to the incorporated VGCFs as well as the porous structure and the smaller nanograins of the Co3O4 active material.  相似文献

Lithium vanadium-borate glasses with the composition of 0.3Li2O–(0.7-x)B2O3xV2O5 (x?=?0.3, 0.325, 0.35, 0.375, 0.4, 0.425, 0.45, and 0.475) were prepared by melt-quenching method. According to differential scanning calorimetry data, vanadium oxide acts as both glass former and glass modifier, since the thermal stability of glasses decreases with an increase in V2O5 concentration. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy data show that the vibrations of [VO4] structural units occur at V2O5 concentration of 45 mol%. It is established that the concentration of V4+ ions increases exponentially with the growth of vanadium oxide concentration. Direct and alternative current measurements are carried out to estimate the contribution both electronic and ionic conductivities to the value of total conductivity. It is shown that the electronic conductivity is predominant in the total one. The glass having the composition of 0.3Li2O-0.275B2O3-0.475V2O5 shows the highest electrical conductivity that has the value of 7.4?×?10?5 S cm?1 at room temperature.  相似文献

Rare earth elements (RE = Eu3+& Dy3+)and Bi3+ doped Y2O3 nanoparticles were synthesized by urea hydrolysis method in ethylene glycol, which acts as reaction medium as well as a capping agent, at a low temperature of 140 °C,followed by calcination of the obtained product. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) images reveals that ovoid shaped Y2O3 nanoparticles of around 22–24 nm size range were obtained in this method. The respective RE and Bi3+ doped Y2O3 precursor nanoparticles when heated at 600 and 750 °C, retains the same shape as that of the as-synthesized Y2O3 precursor samples. From EDAX spectra, the incorporation of RE ions into the host has been studied. XRD pattern reveals the crystalline nature of the heated nanoparticles and indicate the absence of any impurity phase other than cubic Y2O3.However, the as-synthesized nanoparticles were highly amorphous without the presence of any sharp XRD peaks. Photoluminescence study suggests that the synthesized samples could be used as red (Eu3+), yellow (Dy3+), blue and green (Bi3+)emitting phosphors.  相似文献

The Li3V2(PO4)3/C (LVP/C) cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries were synthesized via ethylene glycol-assisted solvothermal method. The phase composition, phase transition temperature, morphology, and fined microstructure were studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential thermal analyzer (DTA), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and transmission electron microscope (TEM), respectively. The electrochemical properties, impedance, and electrical conductivity of LVP/C cathode materials were tested by channel battery analyzer, the electrochemical workstation, and the Hall test system, respectively. The results shown that the appropriate amount of water added to ethylene glycol solvent contributes to the synthesis of pure phase LVP. The LVP10/C cathode material can exhibit discharge capacities of 128, 126, 126, 123, 124, and 114 mAh g?1 at 0.1, 0.5, 2, 5, 10, and 20 C in the voltage range of 3.0–4.3 V, respectively. Meanwhile, it shows also a stable cycling performance with the capacity retention of 89.6% after 180 cycles at 20 C.  相似文献

Li[Ni1/3Co(1-x)/3Mn1/3Fe x/3] O2(x?=?0.0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, and 0.9) cathode materials have been synthesized via hydroxide co-precipitation method followed by a solid state reaction. Thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) measurements were utilized to determine the calcination temperature of precursor sample. The crystal structure features were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The electrochemical properties of Li[Ni1/3Co(1-x)/3Mn1/3Fe x/3]O2 were compared by means of cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS), and galvanostatic charge/discharge test. Electrochemical test results indicate that Li[Ni1/3Co0.9/3Mn1/3Fe0.1/3] O2 decrease charge transfer resistance and enhance Li+ ion diffusion velocity and thus improve cycling and high-rate capability compared with Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2. The initial discharge specific capacity of Li[Ni1/3Co0.9/3Mn1/3Fe0.1/3] O2 was 178.5 mAh/g and capacity retention was 87.11 % after 30 cycles at 0.1C, with the battery showing good cycle performance.  相似文献
