In this paper, the dynamic behavior of two collinear symmetric interface cracks between two dissimilar magneto-electro-elastic material half planes under the harmonic anti-plane shear waves loading is investigated by Schmidt method. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with a set of triple integral equations in which the unknown variable is the jump of the displacements across the crack surfaces. To solve the triple integral equations, the jump of the displacements across the crack surface is expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. Numerical solutions of the stress intensity factor, the electric displacement intensity factor and the magnetic flux intensity factor are given. The relations among the electric filed, the magnetic flux field and the stress field are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper the anti-plane problem for an interface crack between two dissimilar magneto-electro-elastic plates subjected to anti-plane mechanical and in-plane magneto-electrical loads is investigated. The interface crack is assumed to be either magneto-electrically impermeable or permeable, and the position of the interface crack is arbitrary. The finite Fourier transform method is employed to reduce the mixed boundary-value problem to triple trigonometric series equations. The dislocation density functions and proper replacement of the variables are introduced to reduce these series equations to a standard Cauchy singular integral equation of the first kind. The resulting integral equation together with the corresponding single-valued condition is approximated as a system of linear algebra equations which can be easily solved. Field intensity factors and energy release rates are determined numerically and discussed in detail. Numerical results show the effects of crack configuration and loading combination parameters on the fracture behaviors of crack tips according to energy release rate criterion. The study of this problem is expected to have applications to the investigation of dynamic fracture properties of magneto-electro-elastic materials with cracks.  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of two parallel symmetry cracks in magneto-electro-elastic composites under harmonic anti-plane shear waves is studied by Schmidt method. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with a pair of dual integral equations in which the unknown variable is the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of the displacements across the crack surface were expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. The relations among the electric filed, the magnetic flux and the stress field were obtained. From the results, it can be obtained that the singular stresses in piezoelectric/piezomagnetic materials carry the same forms as those in a general elastic material for the dynamic anti-plane shear fracture problem. The shielding effect of two parallel cracks was also discussed.  相似文献

The behavior of four parallel symmetry permeable interface cracks in a piezoelectric layer bonded to two half-piezoelectric spaces under anti-plane shear loading is investigated. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of triple integral equations. These equations are solved by the Schmidt method. This process is quite different from that papers adopted previously. The normalized stress and electrical displacement intensity factors are determined for different geometric and property parameters for permeable crack surface conditions. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the geometry of the interacting cracks, the thickness and the materials constants of the piezoelectric layer upon the stress and electric displacement intensity factors of the cracks. It is found that the electric displacement intensity factors for the permeable crack surface conditions are much smaller than the results for the impermeable crack surface conditions.  相似文献

Based on the Stroh-type formalism, we present a concise analytic method to solve the problem of complicated defects in piezoelectric materials. Using this method and the technique of conformal mapping, the problem of two non-symmetrical collinear cracks emanating from an elliptical hole in a piezoelectric solid is investigated under remotely uniform in-plane electric loading and anti-plane mechanical loading. The exact solutions of the field intensity factors and the energy release rate are presented in closed-form under the permeable electric boundary condition. With the variation of the geometrical parameters, the present results can be reduced to the well-known results of a mode-III crack in piezoelectric materials. Moreover, new special models used for simulating more practical defects in a piezoelectric solid are obtained, such as two symmetrical edge cracks and single edge crack emanating from an elliptical hole or circular hole, T-shaped crack, cross-shaped crack, and semi-infinite plane with an edge crack. Numerical results are then presented to reveal the effects of geometrical parameters and the applied mechanical loading on the field intensity factors and the energy release rate.  相似文献

The dynamic behaviors of several moving cracks in a functionally graded piezoelectric (FGP) strip subjected to anti-plane mechanical loading and in-plane electrical loading are investigated. For the first time, the distributed dislocation technique is used to construct the integral equations for FGP materials, in which the unknown variables are the dislocation densities. With the dislocation densities, the field intensity factors are determined. Moreover, the effects of the speed of the crack propagation on the field intensity factors are studied. Several examples are solved, and the numerical results for the stress intensity factor and the electric displacement intensity factor are presented graphically finally.  相似文献

An effective velocity dependent energy release rate is found for a semi-infinite crack. Approximate expressions of stress intensity factors for in-plane cracks in periodically nonhomogeneous material are also given.  相似文献

This study is concerned with the treatment of the dynamic behavior of interacting cracks in a piezoelectric layer bonded to two dissimilar piezoelectric half planes subjected to harmonic anti-plane shear waves. The permeable electric boundary condition is considered. By use of the Fourier transform technique, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations in which the unknown variables are the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces. Analytical solutions for an anti-plane Griffith moving crack inside an infinite magnetoelectroelastic medium under the conditions of permeable crack faces are formulated using integral transform method. The far-field anti-plane mechanical shear and in-plane electrical and magnetic loadings are applied to the magnetoelectroelastic material. Expressions for stresses, electric displacements and magnetic inductions in the vicinity of the crack tip are derived. Field intensity factors for magnetoelectroelastic material are obtained. The stresses, electric displacements and magnetic inductions at the crack tip show inverse square root singularities. The moving speed of the crack have influence on the dynamic electric displacement intensity factor (DEDIF) and the dynamic magnetic induction intensity factor (DMIIF), while the dynamic stress intensity factor (DSIF) does not depend on the velocity of the moving crack. When the crack is moving at very lower or very higher speeds, the crack will propagate along its original plane; while in the range of Mc1 < M < Mc2, the propagation of the crack possibly brings about the branch phenomena in magnetoelectroelastic media.  相似文献

The dynamic interaction of two collinear interface cracks between two dissimilar functionally graded piezoelectric/piezomagnetic material strips subjected to the anti-plane shear harmonic stress waves was investigated. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of a pair of triple integral equations in which the unknown variable is jump of displacement across the crack surfaces. These equations are solved using the Schmidt method. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the functionally graded parameter, the circular frequency of the incident waves and the thickness of the strip upon stress, electric displacement and magnetic flux intensity factors of cracks.  相似文献

This paper examines the dynamic response of an interface crack between two dissimilar magneto-electro-elastic materials subjected to the mechanical and electric magnetic impacts. The magneto-electric impermeable boundary conditions are adopted. Laplace and Fourier transforms and dislocation density functions are employed to reduce the mixed boundary value problem to Cauchy singular integral equations in Laplace transform domain, which are solved numerically. Lots of numerical results are given graphically in time domain. The effects of electric impact loading and magnetic impact loading on dynamic energy density factors are discussed. Crack growth and propagation is predicted. The study of this problem is expected to have applications to the investigation of dynamic fracture properties of magneto-electro-elastic materials with cracks.  相似文献

The behavior of two parallel non-symmetric cracks in piezoelectric materials subjected to the anti-plane shear loading was studied by the Schmidt method for the permeable crack electric boundary conditions. Through the Fourier transform, the present problem can be solved with two pairs of dual integral equations ip which the unknown variables are the jumps of displacements across crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of displacements across crack surfaces were directly expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. Finally, the relations between electric displacement intensity factors and stress intensity factors at crack tips can be obtained. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the distance between two cracks upon stress and electric displacement intensity factors at crack tips. Contrary to the impermeable crack surface condition solution, it is found that electric displacement intensity factors for the permeable crack surface conditions are much smaller than those for the impermeable crack surface conditions. At the same time, it can be found that the crack shielding effect is also present in the piezoelectric materials.  相似文献

In this paper, the interactions of multiple parallel symmetric and permeable finite length cracks in a piezoelectric/piezomagnetic material plane subjected to anti-plane shear stress loading are studied by the Schmidt method. The problem is formulated through Fourier transform into dual integral equations, in which the unknown variables are the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces are directly expanded as a series of Jacobi polynomials. Finally, the relation between the electric field, the magnetic flux field and the stress field near the crack tips is obtained. The results show that the stress, the electric displacement and the magnetic flux intensity factors at the crack tips depend on the length and spacing of the cracks. It is also revealed that the crack shielding effect presents in piezoelectric/piezomagnetic materials.  相似文献

Anti-plane analysis of semi-infinite crack in piezoelectric strip   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Using the complex variable function method and the technique of the conformal mapping, the fracture problem of a semi-infinite crack in a piezoelectric strip is studied under the anti-plane shear stress and the in-plane electric load. The analytic solutions of the field intensity factors and the mechanical strain energy release rate are presented under the assumption that the surface of the crack is electrically impermeable. When the height of the strip tends to infinity, the analytic solutions of an infinitely large piezoelectric solid with a semi-infinite crack are obtained. Moreover, the present results can be reduced to the well-known solutions for a purely elastic material in the absence of the electric loading. In addition, numerical examples are given to show the influences of the loaded crack length, the height of the strip, and the applied mechanical/electric loads on the mechanical strain energy release rate.  相似文献
