Let R be a ring with center Z(R), let n be a fixed positive integer, and let I be a nonzero ideal of R. A mapping h: RR is called n-centralizing (n-commuting) on a subset S of R if [h(x),x n ] ∈ Z(R) ([h(x),x n ] = 0 respectively) for all xS. The following are proved:
(1)  if there exist generalized derivations F and G on an n!-torsion free semiprime ring R such that F 2 + G is n-commuting on R, then R contains a nonzero central ideal  相似文献

A ring R is called left P-coherent in case each principal left ideal of R is finitely presented. A left R-module M (resp. right R-module N) is called D-injective (resp. D-flat) if Ext1(G, M) = 0 (resp. Tor1(N, G) = 0) for every divisible left R-module G. It is shown that every left R-module over a left P-coherent ring R has a divisible cover; a left R-module M is D-injective if and only if M is the kernel of a divisible precover A → B with A injective; a finitely presented right R-module L over a left P-coherent ring R is D-flat if and only if L is the cokernel of a torsionfree preenvelope K → F with F flat. We also study the divisible and torsionfree dimensions of modules and rings. As applications, some new characterizations of von Neumann regular rings and PP rings are given.  相似文献

L p approximation capability of radial basis function (RBF) neural networks is investigated. If g: R +1R 1 and ∈ L loc p (R n ) with 1 ≤ p < ∞, then the RBF neural networks with g as the activation function can approximate any given function in L p (K) with any accuracy for any compact set K in R n , if and only if g(x) is not an even polynomial. Let ( Y,d,dl )\left( {\mathcal{Y},d,d\lambda } \right) be (ℝ n , |·|, μ), where |·| is the Euclidean distance, μ is a nonnegative Radon measure on ℝ n satisfying the polynomial growth condition, or the Gauss measure metric space (ℝ n , |·|, d λ ), or the space (S, d, ρ), where S ≡ ℝ n ⋉ ℝ+ is the (ax + b)-group, d is the left-invariant Riemannian metric and ρ is the right Haar measure on S with exponential growth. In this paper, the authors introduce and establish some properties of the atomic Hardy-type spaces { Xs ( Y ) }0 < s \leqslant ¥\left\{ {X_s \left( \mathcal{Y} \right)} \right\}_{0 < s \leqslant \infty } and the BMO-type spaces { BMO( Y, s ) }0 < s \leqslant ¥\left\{ {BMO\left( {\mathcal{Y}, s} \right)} \right\}_{0 < s \leqslant \infty }. Let H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) be the known atomic Hardy space and L 01 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) the subspace of fL 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) with integral 0. The authors prove that the dual space of X s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) is BMO( Y,s )BMO\left( {\mathcal{Y},s} \right) when s ∈ (0,∞), X s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) = H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) when s ∈ (0, 1], and X ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) = L 01 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) (or L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right)). As applications, the authors show that if T is a linear operator bounded from H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) and from L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to L 1,∞ ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right), then for all r ∈ (1,∞) and s ∈ (r,∞], T is bounded from X r ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to the Lorentz space L 1,s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right), which applies to the Calderón-Zygmund operator on (ℝ n , |·|, μ), the imaginary powers of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator on (ℝ n , |·|, d γ ) and the spectral operator associated with the spectral multiplier on (S, d, ρ). All these results generalize the corresponding results of Sweezy, Abu-Shammala and Torchinsky on Euclidean spaces.  相似文献

Let D be an infinite division ring. A famous result due to Herstein says that every non-central element of D has infinitely many conjugates and so, if D * is an FC-group, then D is a field. Let M be a maximal subgroup of GL n (D), where n ≥ 1. In this paper, we prove that if M is an FC-group, then it is the multiplicative group of some maximal subfield of M n (D). Moreover, if M is algebraic over Z(D), then [D : Z(D)] < ∞.  相似文献

In previous papers, we have constructed and studied mappings d k : M × M → ℝ called the H k -distance functions. The main result of this paper is a theorem on realizability of the generalized distances d k (υ, w), υ, wM, by critical values of the length functional L: Ω(M, υ, w) → ℝ generated by nontrivial homology classes of the space Ω(M, υ, w) of paths joining the points υ and w.  相似文献

The so-called weakly d-Koszul-type module is introduced and it turns out that each weakly d-Koszul-type module contains a d-Koszul-type submodule. It is proved that, M ∈ W H J^d(A) if and only if M admits a filtration of submodules: 0 belong to U0 belong to U1 belong to ... belong to Up = M such that all Ui/Ui-1 are d-Koszul-type modules, from which we obtain that the finitistic dimension conjecture holds in W H J^d(A) in a special case. Let M ∈ W H J^d(A). It is proved that the Koszul dual E(M) is Noetherian, Hopfian, of finite dimension in special cases, and E(M) ∈ gr0(E(A)). In particular, we show that M ∈ W H J^d(A) if and only if E(G(M)) ∈ gr0(E(A)), where G is the associated graded functor.  相似文献

In this work we generalize the case of scalar curvature zero the results of Simmons (Ann. Math. 88 (1968), 62–105) for minimal cones in Rn+1. If Mn−1 is a compact hypersurface of the sphere Sn(1) we represent by C(M)ε the truncated cone based on M with center at the origin. It is easy to see that M has zero scalar curvature if and only if the cone base on M also has zero scalar curvature. Hounie and Leite (J. Differential Geom. 41 (1995), 247–258) recently gave the conditions for the ellipticity of the partial differential equation of the scalar curvature. To show that, we have to assume n ⩾ 4 and the three-curvature of M to be different from zero. For such cones, we prove that, for nslant 7 there is an ε for which the truncate cone C(M)ε is not stable. We also show that for n ⩾ 8 there exist compact, orientable hypersurfaces Mn−1 of the sphere with zero scalar curvature and S3 different from zero, for which all truncated cones based on M are stable. Let F n be the free group of rank n, and let Aut+(F n ) be its special automorphism group. For an epimorphism π : F n G of the free group F n onto a finite group G we call the standard congruence subgroup of Aut+(F n ) associated to G and π. In the case n = 2 we fully describe the abelianization of Γ+(G, π) for finite abelian groups G. Moreover, we show that if G is a finite non-perfect group, then Γ+(G, π) ≤ Aut+(F 2) has infinite abelianization.  相似文献

Let k be a field and E(n) be the 2 n+1-dimensional pointed Hopf algebra over k constructed by Beattie, Dăscălescu and Grünenfelder [J. Algebra, 2000, 225: 743–770]. E(n) is a triangular Hopf algebra with a family of triangular structures R M parameterized by symmetric matrices M in M n (k). In this paper, we study the Azumaya algebras in the braided monoidal category $ E_{(n)} \mathcal{M}^{R_M } $ E_{(n)} \mathcal{M}^{R_M } and obtain the structure theorems for Azumaya algebras in the category $ E_{(n)} \mathcal{M}^{R_M } $ E_{(n)} \mathcal{M}^{R_M } , where M is any symmetric n×n matrix over k.  相似文献

We study codeterminants in the q-Schur algebra S q (n,r) and prove that the standard ones form a basis of S q (n,r), using a quantized version of the Désarménien matrix. We find elements of the form F S 1λ E T in Lusztig’s modified enveloping algebra of gl(n), which, up to powers of q, map to the basis of standard codeterminants, where F S U and E T U + are explicitly given products of root vectors, depending on Young tableaux S and T.  相似文献

Let T = (T(t))t≥0 be a bounded C-regularized semigroup generated by A on a Banach space X and R(C) be dense in X. We show that if there is a dense subspace Y of X such that for every x ∈ Y, σu(A, Cx), the set of all points λ ∈ iR to which (λ - A)^-1 Cx can not be extended holomorphically, is at most countable and σr(A) N iR = Ф, then T is stable. A stability result for the case of R(C) being non-dense is also given. Our results generalize the work on the stability of strongly continuous senfigroups.  相似文献

  We obtain a new sharp inequality for the local norms of functions x ∈ L ∞, ∞ r (R), namely,

Let R and S be associative rings and S V R a semidualizing (S-R)-bimodule. An R-module N is said to be V-Gorenstein injective if there exists a Hom R (I V (R),?) and Hom R (?,I V (R)) exact exact complex \( \cdots \to {I_1}\xrightarrow{{{d_0}}}{I_0} \to {I^0}\xrightarrow{{{d_0}}}{I^1} \to \cdots \) of V-injective modules I i and I i , i ∈ N0, such that N ? Im(I 0I 0). We will call N to be strongly V-Gorenstein injective in case that all modules and homomorphisms in the above exact complex are equal, respectively. It is proved that the class of V-Gorenstein injective modules are closed under extension, direct summand and is a subset of the Auslander class A V (R) which leads to the fact that V-Gorenstein injective modules admit exact right I V (R)-resolution. By using these facts, and thinking of the fact that the class of strongly V-Gorenstein injective modules is not closed under direct summand, it is proved that an R-module N is strongly V-Gorenstein injective if and only if NE is strongly V-Gorenstein injective for some V-injective module E. Finally, it is proved that an R-module N of finite V-Gorenstein injective injective dimension admits V-Gorenstein injective preenvelope which leads to the fact that, for a natural integer n, Gorenstein V-injective injective dimension of N is bounded to n if and only if \(Ext_{{I_V}\left( R \right)}^{ \geqslant n + 1}\left( {I,N} \right) = 0\) for all modules I with finite I V (R)-injective dimension.  相似文献

It is shown that every almost linear Pexider mappings f, g, h from a unital C*-algebra into a unital C*-algebra ℬ are homomorphisms when f(2 n uy) = f(2 n u)f(y), g(2 n uy) = g(2 n u)g(y) and h(2 n uy) = h(2 n u)h(y) hold for all unitaries u ∈ , all y ∈ , and all n ∈ ℤ, and that every almost linear continuous Pexider mappings f, g, h from a unital C*-algebra of real rank zero into a unital C*-algebra ℬ are homomorphisms when f(2 n uy) = f(2 n u)f(y), g(2 n uy) = g(2 n u)g(y) and h(2 n uy) = h(2 n u)h(y) hold for all u ∈ {v ∈ : v = v* and v is invertible}, all y ∈ and all n ∈ ℤ. Furthermore, we prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of *-homomorphisms between unital C*-algebras, and ℂ-linear *-derivations on unital C*-algebras. In this paper, by means of a new idea, the concept of (invertible) (∈,∈∨q)-fuzzy n-ary subhypergroups of a commutative n-ary hypergroup is introduced and some related properties are investigated. A kind of n-ary quotient hypergroup by an (∈, ∈∨q)-fuzzy n-ary subhypergroup is provided and the relationships among (∈, ∈∨q)-fuzzy n-ary subhypergroups, n-ary quotient hypergroups and homomorphism are investigated. Let R be an arbitrary ring, S be a subset of R, and Z(S) = {sS | sx = xs for every xS}. The commuting graph of S, denoted by Γ(S), is the graph with vertex set S \ Z(S) such that two different vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if xy = yx. In this paper, let I n , N n be the sets of all idempotents, nilpotent elements in the quaternion algebra ℤ n [i, j, k], respectively. We completely determine Γ(I n ) and Γ(N n ). Moreover, it is proved that for n ≥ 2, Γ(I n ) is connected if and only if n has at least two odd prime factors, while Γ(N n ) is connected if and only if n ∈ 2, 22, p, 2p for all odd primes p.  相似文献

There is a well-known fact, that any group G 1 is a CEP-subgroup both for the direct product G 1 × G 2 and the free productG 1 * G 2 of G 1 with any group G 2. The paper gives a necessary and sufficient condition providing that a multiplier G i of a n-periodic product Π iI n G i of any family of groups {G i } iI is a CEP-subgroup. Particularly, the found criterionmeans that any group G 1 of odd period n ≥ 665 is a CEP-subgroup of the n-periodic product Π iI n G i for any group G 2.  相似文献
