Let f=a0(x)+a1(x)y+a2(x)y2 ? \Bbb Z[x,y]f=a_0(x)+a_1(x)y+a_2(x)y^2\in {\Bbb Z}[x,y] be an absolutely irreducible polynomial of degree m in x. We show that the reduction f mod p will also be absolutely irreducible if p 3 cm·H(f)emp\ge c_m\cdot H(f)^{e_m} where H (f) is the height of f and e1 = 4,e2 = 6, e3 = 6 [2/3]{2}\over{3} and em = 2 m for m S 4. We also show that the exponents em are best possible for m 1 3m\ne 3 if a plausible number theoretic conjecture is true.  相似文献

Assume that 1 ≤ p < ∞ and a function fL p [0, π] has the Fourier series $ \sum\limits_{n = 1}^\infty {a_n } Assume that 1 ≤ p < ∞ and a function fL p [0, π] has the Fourier series cos nx. According to one result of G.H. Hardy, the series cos nx is the Fourier series for a certain function (f) ∈ L p [0, π]. But if 1 < p ≤ ∞ and fL p [0, π], then the series cos nx is the Fourier series for a certain function (f) ∈ L p [0, π]. Similar assertions are true for sine series. This allows one to define the Hardy operator on L p (), 1 ≤ p < ∞, and to define the Bellman operator on L p (), 1 < p ≤ ∞. In this paper we prove that the Bellman operator boundedly acts in VMO(), and the Hardy operator also maps a certain subspace C() onto VMO(). We also prove the invariance of certain classes of functions with given majorants of modules of continuity or best approximations in the spaces H(), L(), VMO() with respect to the Hardy and Bellman operators. The linear equation Δ2u = 1 for the infinitesimal buckling under uniform unit load of a thin elastic plate over ?2 has the particularly interesting nonlinear generalization Δg2u = 1, where Δg = e?2u Δ is the Laplace‐Beltrami operator for the metric g = e2ug0, with g0 the standard Euclidean metric on ?2. This conformal elliptic PDE of fourth order is equivalent to the nonlinear system of elliptic PDEs of second order Δu(x)+Kg(x) exp(2u(x)) = 0 and Δ Kg(x) + exp(2u(x)) = 0, with x ∈ ?2, describing a conformally flat surface with a Gauss curvature function Kg that is generated self‐consistently through the metric's conformal factor. We study this conformal plate buckling equation under the hypotheses of finite integral curvature ∫ Kg exp(2u)dx = κ, finite area ∫ exp(2u)dx = α, and the mild compactness condition K+L1(B1(y)), uniformly w.r.t. y ∈ ?2. We show that asymptotically for |x|→∞ all solutions behave like u(x) = ?(κ/2π)ln |x| + C + o(1) and K(x) = ?(α/2π) ln|x| + C + o(1), with κ ∈ (2π, 4π) and . Let A denote a prehilbert absolute valued real algebra such that (x, x, x) = 0 for all x ε A; for this algebra we obtain the same results we have previously obtained for the flexible absolute valued algebra. Our main theorem is: A has a finite dimension 1, 2, 4 or 8, and is isotopic to or C. One of the results concerning the isomorphism between A and , C*, or C shows that if for every two idempotents e1 and e2 in , then A is isomorphic to , C*, or C. The example of infinite dimensional Hilbert absolute valued algebra given by Urbanik and Wright indicates that the assumption, (x, x, x) = 0 for all x ε A, is essential.  相似文献

In this paper, we characterize a C *-subalgebra C *(x) of B(H), generated by a single operator x. We show that if x is polar-decomposed by aq, where a is the partial isometry part and q is the positive operator part of x, then C *(x) is *-isomorphic to the groupoid crossed product algebra Aq×a\mathbbGa\mathcal{A}_{q}\times_{\alpha }\mathbb{G}_{a} , where Aq=C*(q)\mathcal{A}_{q}=C^{*}(q) and \mathbbGa\mathbb{G}_{a} is the graph groupoid induced by a partial isometry part a of x.  相似文献

For μ(x) ∈ Z/(p)[x] with deg(μ(x)) ≥ 2 and gcd(1 deg(μ(x)),p- 1) = 1,set ψe-1 (x0, x1,…, xe-1) = xe-1·[ μ(xe-2) ηe-3 (x0, x1,…, xe-3)] ηe-2 (x0, x1,…, xe-2),which is a function of e variables over Z/(p). Then the compressing map ψe-1: G'(f(x),pe) → (Z/(p))∞,(a) (→)ψe-1((a)0, (a)1,… ,(a)e-1) is injective. That is, for (a), (b) ∈ G' (f(x), pe), (a) = (b) if and only if ψe - 1 ((a)0, (a)1,… , (a)e - 1) =ψe - 1 ((b)0,(b)1,… ,(b)e-1). As for the case of e = 2, similar result is also given. We study the boundary value problem in Ω, u = 0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in ℝ N . Our attention is focused on two cases when , where m(x) = max{p 1(x), p 2(x)} for any x ∈ or m(x) < q(x) < N · m(x)/(Nm(x)) for any x ∈ . In the former case we show the existence of infinitely many weak solutions for any λ > 0. In the latter we prove that if λ is large enough then there exists a nontrivial weak solution. Our approach relies on the variable exponent theory of generalized Lebesgue-Sobolev spaces, combined with a ℤ2-symmetric version for even functionals of the Mountain Pass Theorem and some adequate variational methods.  相似文献

In this work, motivated by non-ideal mechanical systems, we investigate the following O.D.E. W ì \mathbbRn{x \in \Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n} , g,[^(g)]{g,\widehat{g}} are T periodic functions of t and there is a 0 ∈ Ω such that f ( a 0) = 0 and f ′( a 0) is a nilpotent matrix. When n = 3 and f (x) = (0, q (x 3) , 0) we get results on existence and stability of periodic orbits. We apply these results in a non ideal mechanical system: the Centrifugal Vibrator. We make a stability analysis of this dynamical system and get a characterization of the Sommerfeld Effect as a bifurcation of periodic orbits.  相似文献

If α > 2 and if S = (?, +, n* = -n) and f(n) = e?[n]α or S = (IN0, +, n* = n) and f(n) = e, then S(f) ∪ (0, c) = ? and [d, ∞) ? S(f) for some d ≥; c > 0. Although (with c maximal and d minimal) we have not been able to show c = d in all cases, this equality does hold if S = ? and α ≥ 3.4. We propose a conjecture: for each integer k ≥ 2, there exists N(k) such that if G is a graph of order nN(k) and d(x) + d(y) ≥ n + 2k - 2 for each pair of non-adjacent vertices x and y of G, then for any k independent edges e1, …, ek of G, there exist k vertex-disjoint cycles C1, …, Ck in G such that eiE(Ci) for all i ∈ {1, …, k} and V(C1 ∪ ···∪ Ck) = V(G).
