We generalize Hoon Hong’s theorem on Gröbner bases under composition to the case of differential standard bases in the ordinary ring of differential polynomials {ie4152-01}. In particular, we prove that some ideals have finite differential standard bases. We construct special orderings on differential monomials such that ideals generated by some power of a quasi-linear polynomial acquire finite differential standard bases.  相似文献

In L2(0, 1)2) infinitely many different biorthogonal wavelet bases may be introduced by taking tensor products of one–dimensional biorthogonal wavelet bases on the interval (0, 1). Most well–known are the standard tensor product bases and the hyperbolic bases. In [23, 24] further biorthogonal wavelet bases are introduced, which provide wavelet characterizations for functions in anisotropic Besov spaces. Here we address the following question: Which of those biorthogonal tensor product wavelet bases is the most appropriate one for approximating nonlinearly functions from anisotropic Besov spaces? It turns out, that the hyperbolic bases lead to nonlinear algorithms which converge as fast as the corresponding schemes with respect to specific anisotropy adapted bases.  相似文献

We use special functions and orthonormal wavelet bases on the real line to construct wavelet-like bases. With these wavelets we can construct polynomial bases on the interval; moreover, we can use them for the numerical resolution of degenerate elliptic operators.

This paper studies Schauder frames in Banach spaces, a concept which is a natural generalization of frames in Hilbert spaces and Schauder bases in Banach spaces. The associated minimal and maximal spaces are introduced, as are shrinking and boundedly complete Schauder frames. Our main results extend the classical duality theorems on bases to the situation of Schauder frames. In particular, we will generalize James' results on shrinking and boundedly complete bases to frames. Secondly we will extend his characterization of the reflexivity of spaces with unconditional bases to spaces with unconditional frames.  相似文献

Pseudoeigenvalues have been extensively studied for highly nonnormal matrices. This paper focuses on the corresponding pseudoeigenvectors. The properties and uses of pseudoeigenvector bases are investigated. It is shown that pseudoeigenvector bases can be much better conditioned than eigenvector bases. We look at the stability and the varying quality of pseudoeigenvector bases. Then applications are considered including the exponential of a matrix. Several aspects of GMRES convergence are looked at, including why using approximate eigenvectors to deflate eigenvalues can be effective even when there is not a basis of eigenvectors.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with a construction of new spline-wavelet bases on the interval. The resulting bases generate multiresolution analyses on the unit interval with the desired number of vanishing wavelet moments for primal and dual wavelets. Both primal and dual wavelets have compact support. Inner wavelets are translated and dilated versions of well-known wavelets designed by Cohen, Daubechies, and Feauveau. Our objective is to construct interval spline-wavelet bases with the condition number which is close to the condition number of the spline wavelet bases on the real line, especially in the case of the cubic spline wavelets. We show that the constructed set of functions is indeed a Riesz basis for the space L 2 ([0, 1]) and for the Sobolev space H s ([0, 1]) for a certain range of s. Then we adapt the primal bases to the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions of the first order and the dual bases to the complementary boundary conditions. Quantitative properties of the constructed bases are presented. Finally, we compare the efficiency of an adaptive wavelet scheme for several spline-wavelet bases and we show a superiority of our construction. Numerical examples are presented for the one-dimensional and two-dimensional Poisson equations where the solution has steep gradients.  相似文献

We show that the recently discovered WILSON bases of exponential decay are unconditional bases for all modulation spaces on R, including the classical BESSEL potential spaces, the Segal algebra So, and the SCHWARTZ space. As a consequence we obtain new bases for spaces of entire functions. On the other hand, the WILSON bases are no unconditional bases for the ordinary Lp-spaces for p ≠ 2.  相似文献

Properties of space of diagonal operators on semi-normalized Schauder bases are studied. A necessary and sufficient condition is given for the containment of in the space of compact diagonal operators on a semi-normalized Schauder basis. Using this condition it is shown that there exist semi-normalized Schauder bases of reflexive Banach spaces such that does not embed in the space of compact diagonal operators on these Schauder bases. This paper is concerned with the construction of biorthogonal wavelet bases on n-dimensional cubes which provide Riesz bases for Sobolev and Besov spaces with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions on any desired selection of boundary facets. The essential point is that the primal and dual wavelets satisfy corresponding complementary boundary conditions. These results form the key ingredients of the construction of wavelet bases on manifolds [DS2] that have been developed for the treatment of operator equations of positive and negative order.  相似文献

In [J. Shao, L. You, H. Shan, Bound on the bases of irreducible generalized sign pattern matrices, Linear Algebra Appl. 427 (2007) 285-300], the authors extended the concept of the base from powerful sign pattern matrices to non-powerful irreducible sign pattern matrices. Recently, the kth local bases and the kth upper bases, which are generalizations of the bases, of primitive non-powerful signed digraphs were introduced. In this paper, we introduce a new parameter called the kth lower bases of primitive non-powerful signed digraphs and obtain some bounds for it. For some cases, the bounds we obtain are best possible and the extremal signed digraphs are characterized, respectively. Moreover, we show that there exist “gaps” in the kth lower bases set of primitive non-powerful signed digraphs.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with two applications of bases of Riemann-Roch spaces. In the first application, we define the floor of a divisor and obtain improved bounds on the parameters of algebraic geometry codes. These bounds apply to a larger class of codes than that of Homma and Kim (J. Pure Appl. Algebra 162 (2001) 273). Then we determine explicit bases for large classes of Riemann-Roch spaces of the Hermitian function field. These bases give better estimates on the parameters of a large class of m-point Hermitian codes. In the second application, these bases are used for fast implementation of Xing and Niederreiter's method (Acta. Arith. 72 (1995) 281) for the construction of low-discrepancy sequences.  相似文献

In this paper we study operator valued bases on Hilbert spaces and similar to Schauder bases theory we introduce characterizations of this generalized bases in Hilbert spaces.We redefine the dual basis associated with a generalized basis and prove that the operators of a dual g-basis are continuous.Finally we consider the stability of g-bases under small perturbations.We generalize two results of KreinMilman-Rutman and Paley-Wiener [7] to the situation of g-basis.  相似文献

The main goal of this paper is to understand which properties of a basis are important for certain direct and inverse theorems in nonlinear approximation. We study greedy approximation with regard to bases with different properties. We consider bases that are tensor products of univariate greedy bases.
