Excited states of73Se have been investigated up to spin, 21/2 using techniques of in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy in connection with the70Ge(α, n) reaction. Mean lifetimes of 12 levels have been determined applying Doppler-shift andγ-RF-methods. Five different bands have been identified that reflect a variety of different excitation modes. The decoupled 9/2+ band is likely to correspond to an oblate deformation while the 5/2+ band is interpreted as a strongly coupled prolate band built on the Nilsson configuration [422] 5/2+. The 3/2? band is a strongly coupled band built on the [301] 3/2} configuration.Nuclear reactions:70Ge(α,n),E=14, 16, 18, 19, 20MeV; measuredE γ,I γ,σ(E γ,θ),γγ-coin, linear polarization, DSA,γ(t).75Se deduced levels,I, π, τ, δ(E2/M1), B(σλ). 73Se has been investigated by the reaction70Ge(α, nγ). Gamma excitation functions (E α=10–16 MeV), gamma angular distributions (E α=18 MeV) and gamma-gamma coincidences (E α=15 MeV)) have been taken. A level scheme has been established, spins and partities have been assigned. States of a rotational band on the 151.2 keV (5/2?) state and an anomalous band have been identified. The intensities, placements andE2/M1 mixing ratios of transitions in the decay of154Eu have been carefully studied to provide accurate data for microscopic calculations. Coincidence relationships in the decay of154Eu have been studied extensively with a multiparameterγ-γ coincidence system with two large volume Ge(Li) detectors. Spectra in coincidence with twenty energy gates were analyzed. Twenty-nine new coincidence relationships were established and confirmed most, but not all, of several levels previously assigned by energy fits only. From an analysis of coincidence spectra and singles spectra with a 18% efficiency Ge(Li) detector new information on the gamma-ray intensities were obtained. Precise values of theE2/M1 mixing ratios of transitions from the gamma- and beta-vibrational bands to the g.s. band have been determined fromγ-γ directional correlation measurements with a NaI(Tl)-Ge(Li) detector coincidence system. Mixing ratios were obtained for a number of other transitions including those fromK π =0? and 2+ bands from direct and skipped cascade correlations.  相似文献

The level scheme of97Tc has been investigated by observing theγ-rays following the decay of 2.9-d97Ru.γ-singles andγγ-coincidence measurements were carried out with Ge(Li)-detectors. The time difference of coincident γ-rays was measured as a third parameter. From the coincidence events, the intensities ofγγ-cascades were extracted. The97Ru decay gives rise to 18γ-lines which could be fitted into a level scheme of97Tc consisting of 9 levels. Spin and parity assignments of the levels were made from log(ft) values andγ-ray branching ratios. Discrepancies concerning the energy of the first 3/2? state and the existence of a 946 keV level are discussed.  相似文献

The decay of171 Lu(t1/2=8.2 day) to the levels of171Yb has been studied using large volume high resolution Ge(Li), x-ray Ge(Li) and NaI(Tl) detectors.γ-γ coincidence and directional correlation experiments have been performed. Spin-parity of 5/2?, 7/2+, 5/2?, 9/2+, 7/2?, 7/2?, 11/2+, 9/2?, 9/2? and 5/2? have been assigned to the 75.87, 95.26, 122.37, 167.62, 208.00, 230.61, 259.02, 835.21, 948.37 and 1024.87 keV levels respectively. Several new coincidence relations have been observed in the present work. Two newγ-transitions at 141.45 and 821.30 keV observed and two levels at 766 and 944 keV been proposed. Multipolarity assignments have been made for most of theγ-transitions from theK-shell internal conversion coefficients obtained using the presentγ-ray intensities and the published conversion electron intensities. A revised level scheme for171Yb has been proposed and compared with published data. Radioactivity171Lu; measuredT 1/2,E γ ,I γ ,γγ coin,γγ (θ), I.C.C.,171Yb deduced levels,J, γ-mixing,π. The72Ge(α, n)75Se and73Ge(α, 2n)75Se reactions have been studied at bombarding energies of 15 MeV and 22.5 MeV respectively using Ge(Li)-detectors.γ-singles spectra,γ-γ-coincidences,γ-angular distributions and excitation functions have been taken. Low energy γ-spectra from neutron capture in natural germanium have been studied with several high resolution Ge(Li)-detectors. Measurements have been made with two different target configurations. In the first measurement a normal Ge-target was irradiated with neutrons; no neutrons were allowed to enter the Ge(Li)-detector. In the second measurement the Ge(Li)-detector was used simultaneously as target and as γ- ande ?-detector. By combination of the results convertion coefficients of several transitions in73Ge have been determined. Several unknown low energy transitions in Ge isotopes have been found with the aid of the second method. The level schemes of71Ge,73Ge,74Ge and75Ge have been revised by means of coincidence measurements with a Ge(Li)-Ge(Li)-coincidence system of high efficiency and resolution.  相似文献

73Se was produced by proton irradiation of polycrystalline arsenic. The quadrupole interaction of the 66 keV, 5/2? state in the daughter isotope73As with the electric field gradient in the noncubic arsenic lattice was observed at room temperature by means of theγ-γ perturbed angular correlation technique. The measured angular correlation pattern is characterized by a quadrupole coupling constantv Q =51.6 (1.3) MHz. By use of the known electric field gradient on regular lattice sites, a value of ¦Q¦=0.356(12)b is derived for the quadrupole moment of the 66 keV, 5/2? state of73As.  相似文献

Sources of149Nd were produced by thermal-neutron irradiation of enriched148Nd. High resolution Ge(Li) spectrometers were used to collect gamma-ray singles and coincidence spectra in the study of the decay of 1.7-h149Nd. A total of 214 gamma rays have been assigned to the decay of149Nd, and 201 of these transitions have been placed in a level scheme of149Pm involving 42 excited states. Absolute values for the beta-group intensities were determined for transitions to the149Pm levels, and spin and parity assignments were made for many of the observed states. The experimentally determined level structure of149Pm was compared with corresponding levels in other odd-mass Pm and Eu nuclides. Interpretations were made in terms of the core-coupling model. Changes of the radioactive decay rate of71Ge (T 1/2=11.43 days) have been studied experimentally for71Ge in some compounds of bivalent and quadrivalent germanium. Relative changes Δλ/λ of the electron capture probability have been measured, and the chemical changes Δρ(0) of the electron density at the germanium nuclei have been determined from these measurements. Values for the Mössbauer isomer shift calibration constants for the 67 keV γ-transition of73Ge have been estimated:C=δ/Δρ(0)=(0.061±0.020) mm·s?1/a.u., Δ〈r 2〉=(21±7)·10?3 fm2, ΔR/R=(6.9±2.3)·10?4.  相似文献

TheEC-decay of153Tb to the levels of153Gd has been studied in singles and coincidence mode using high resolution x-ray andγ-ray Ge(Li) detectors. The results, in general, are in agreement with the recent findings of Tuurnalaet al. showing a very high density of low-spin states in153Gd. The results of theγγ directional correlation experiment using two Ge(Li) detectors together with the I.C.C. data have been used in assigning the spin and parity of 5/2?, 5/2?, 3/2?, 3/2+, 5/2+, 3/2+ and 3/2+ to the 41.6, 109.8, 129.1, 212.0, 303.5, 945.6 and 1102.0 keV states respectively. Multipolarity assignments to majority of theγ-transitions have been made from the I.C.C. data obtained through the knowledge of ourγ-ray intensities and the published conversion-electron intensities. From the multipole characters of theγ-transitions, parity assignments have been made to seven states in153Gd. Our results have been discussed and compared with that of Tuurnalaet al.  相似文献

A method is proposed for conducting an experimental search for inelastic interactions of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) involving the excitation of long-lived levels of73Ge nuclei. Analysis of the first experimental results has made it possible to obtain the background level for these reactions as 0.0013 events/(ke V·kg (73Ge)·day). Experimental limits are obtained as to the cross section for spindependent inelastic interactions of WIMPs with73Ge nuclei.  相似文献

An activity with the decay propertiesT 1/2=(8.0±0.3)sec andE γ=(283±5)keV has been produced bySchardt andGoodman by proton irradiation of thin layers of evaporated73Ge and74Ge on thick gold backings. This activity was interpreted as the new isomer74mAs. In the present experiment a search for74mAs was carried out using the reactions75As(n, 2n),71Ga(α, n) and74Ge(d, 2n).74mAs could not be detected. Upper limits for the reaction cross sections were determined. It is discussed that the reported properties of74mAs resemble the known properties of197mAu.  相似文献

Level structure of the 89-neutron nucleus153Gd has been investigated by studying theEC-decay of isotope-separated153Tb sources with several semiconductor detectors. In addition to singles gamma and electron spectra,γ-γ ande ?-γ coincidences were investigated by using Ge(Li) and Si(Li) spectrometers and a high-capacity two-parameter recording system. In all, 191γ-rays are assigned to the decay of the 2.4d153Tb. The proposed level scheme of153Gd containing most of the observed transitions shows a very high density of low-spin states (45 states below 1.5MeV). Spin and/or parity assignments based mainly on coincidence data and measured transition multipolarities are proposed for a majority of these states. Nilsson model classifications of some levels are discussed. On the basis of logf t values the spin and parity of the ground state of153Tb are suggested to be 3/2+ or 5/2+.  相似文献

The level scheme of the doubly odd nucleus146Pm was investigated by means of in-beam spectroscopy. The146Nd(p, n) reaction in the 3.5–8 MeV proton energy interval on enriched targets has been used to populate the exited states of146Pm. High resolutionγ-ray spectra using Ge(Li) and hyperpure Ge detectors and conversion electrons with a mini-orange spectrometer were measured. Withγ-exitation functions and-coincidences using-discriminated NE231 neutron detectors transitions in146Pm were identified,γγ-coincidences gave information aboutγ-cascades. With these data a level scheme of 38 levels below 1.1 MeV exitation energy has been deduced including 73 transitions. For 12 transitions experimental conversion coefficients have been evaluated, which agree with the expected values forM1/E2-transitions.  相似文献

Decay of193m Hg     
The decay of193m Hg to193Au levels was investigated by means of Ge(Li) and Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) coincidence spectrometers. In theγ-ray spectrum about 120 transitions were observed, about 80 of them being new. Forty coincidences betweenγ-transitions were observed. The level scheme of193Au, including 12 earlier known levels as well as 17 new and corrected levels, has been constructed on the basis of the balance of energy sums and the observed coincidences. Possible multipolarities of 33 transitions were determined. Possible spins and parities of several levels were deduced from the determined multipolarities.  相似文献

Theγ spectra emitted in the decay of122Xe and122I have been investigated using Ge(Li) detectors and a Ge(Li)-NaI coincidence apparatus. 14γ transitions with energies between 61.8 and 416.9 keV have been identified in the decay of122Xe, 44 transitions between 564.0 and 3,291.0 keV in the decay of122I. The structure of the nuclei 71As and 73As has been investigated by studying the decay of 71Se, 73gSe and 73mSe, the 72Ge(p, 2nγ)71As reaction, the 73Ge(p, nγ)73As reaction and the 72Ge(3He, d) 73As reaction. Level schemes of 71As and 73As are constructed on basis of the energies and intensities of the gamma transitions and their coincidence relations. Spins and parities are deduced from log ft values, l-values and the decay properties of the excited states. The measured half-life of the lowest excited state in 71As is T12 = 59 ± 10 ns. The experimental level-schemes are compared with the predictions of the cluster-vibrational coupling model.  相似文献

The energy level schemes of152Gd and152Sm have been established on the basis of singlesγ-spectra, andγ- γ coincidence measurements. Ge(Li) detectors were used to study the gamma spectra produced in the EC/β+ and β? decays of152Eu to152Sm and152Gd, respectively. Thirteen new transitions are reported and data from eleven coincidence gates enabled five new levels to be suggested. Relative intensities and logf t values were calculated and spin/parities deduced. The level scheme of79Kr has been studied through the79Br(p,n)79Kr reaction at proton energies from 1·7 to 5·0 MeV.γ-ray and internal conversion electron measurements were made using Ge(Li) detectors and a six gap “Orange” electron spectrometer. The level scheme was established by determining the thresholds of variousγ-rays and byγ-γ and n-γ coincidence measurements. New levels at 402, 450, 660, 676, 695, 720, 810, 836, 907 and 1038 keV not observed in earlier radioactivity studies have been established. DefiniteJ π assignments have been made to most of the levels below 800 keV. Many of the low-lying levels are identified as rotational levels based on the (301 ↓) 1/2?, (301 ↑) 3/2? and (431 ↓) 1/2+ Nilsson states.  相似文献
