TheEC-decay of153Tb to the levels of153Gd has been studied in singles and coincidence mode using high resolution x-ray andγ-ray Ge(Li) detectors. The results, in general, are in agreement with the recent findings of Tuurnalaet al. showing a very high density of low-spin states in153Gd. The results of theγγ directional correlation experiment using two Ge(Li) detectors together with the I.C.C. data have been used in assigning the spin and parity of 5/2?, 5/2?, 3/2?, 3/2+, 5/2+, 3/2+ and 3/2+ to the 41.6, 109.8, 129.1, 212.0, 303.5, 945.6 and 1102.0 keV states respectively. Multipolarity assignments to majority of theγ-transitions have been made from the I.C.C. data obtained through the knowledge of ourγ-ray intensities and the published conversion-electron intensities. From the multipole characters of theγ-transitions, parity assignments have been made to seven states in153Gd. Our results have been discussed and compared with that of Tuurnalaet al.  相似文献

Bands of negative-parity levels have been observed in in-beam studies of153Tb and155Ho. The data are qualitatively accounted for in the rotation-alignment model as decoupled bands based on the h11/2 proton orbital. Nuclear Reactions:153Eu(α, 4)153Tb,E=45–55 MeV;150Sm(10B, 5)155Ho,E=60–70 MeV; measuredE γ,I γ (0), γ ? γ coinc.,E e, I e K ,153Tb and155Ho deduced levels,J, π. Ge(Li) and Si(Li) detectors. Investigations of the properties of 153Gd excited states populated in 153Tb decay were continued. The following measurements were performed: coincidence spectra e?γ with L41, K93 + L52, K110, K129 + L87 + L88 and K195 + L152 keV conversion electron lines, angular correlations of high energy γ-cascades going through the 109.7 keV level, delayed e?γ and e?e? coincidence spectra to determine the half-lives of 41.5, 93.3, 109.7, 129.1,183.5, 212.0 and 216.1 keV states, R(135°, ± B) parameters of IPAC for the 102–110 and 83–129 keV cascades using 153Tb sources implanted into Fe foil.A decay scheme of 153Tb containing 50 excited levels is proposed. Their spins, parities, log ?t and, for low-lying levels, also the mean half-lives have been determined. An estimation of the g-factors of the 109.7 and 129.1 keV levels has been given. On the basis of half-lives of investigated states absolute values of reduced γ-transition probabilities for these states have been calculated. The structure of the ground state of 153Gd is discussed.  相似文献

The levels of151Eu have been investigated in the (n,n′γ) reaction using nuclear reactor fast neutrons. The energies, intensities and angular distributions of theγ-rays have been measured with the Ge(Li) spectrometer. Four rotational bands with the following band heads and Nilsson configurations have been identified: ground state band, 5/2+ [402]; 21.5 keV, 7/2+[404]; 196.5 keV, 3/2+[411]; 260.5 keV, 5/2+[413]. The low spin states at 332.2 and 336.2 keV have been tentatively assigned to the l/2+[411] Nilsson orbital, but 522.8, 580.0 and 587.0 keV states to the 1/2+[420] Nilsson orbital. The negative parity levels at 353.7, 522.1 and probably 546.2 keV have been proposed basing on theh 11/2 proton state.  相似文献

The level scheme of153Eu was investigated by observing the gamma-rays following theβ ?-decay of the 47 h153Sm using a high purity Ge(HPGe) detector and a Ge(Li)-Nal(Tl) fast-slow coincidence spectrometer. The energies and relative intensities of about fifty six gamma-ray transitions were determined. Five of them at energies of 124.91, 431.65, 443.24, 487.75 and 623.73 keV were observed and confirmed for the first time in the present singles and/or gamma-gamma coincidence measurements. These new transitions could be fitted into a proposed level scheme of153Eu. Theβ ?-decay branching ratios as well as the log (ft) values were obtained.  相似文献

Microscopic structures of the proposed parity doublet bands in the odd-proton Z=61151Pm and Z=63153, 155Eu nuclei are examined using the quasiparticle phonon nuclear model Hamiltonian including the residual pairing and multipole-multipole interactions. Octupole correlations between intrinsic nonrotational states are studied to check the suggested assignments of parity doublet partners in these nuclei. We conclude significant octupole correlations between a pair ofK π = 1/2± doublets in each of these nuclei, with somewhat weaker correlations betweenK π = 3/2± bands in both the Eu isotopes. No octupole connection between the lowestK π = 5/2± bands is found; however, significant octupole collectivity, built on the low-lying 5/2? bands, is predicted in the higher-lying 5/2+ bands which contain the 5/2+ [402] fragmented strength.  相似文献

High spin states in153Er have been populated in the144Sm(12C, 3n)133Er reaction. Excitation functions, lifetimes, angular distributions,γ-γ coincidences and internal conversion coefficients were measured. Three isomeric states at 2.75 MeV (T 1/2=400 ns), 2.95 MeV (T 1/2~10 ns) and 5.2 MeV (T 1/2=200 ns) have been observed. A fourth isomer seems to be weakly excited above 6.8 MeV. The level scheme proposed is discussed in term of the nuclear shell model.  相似文献

The beta and gamma radiations of163Tb have been investigated employing scintillation and semiconductor spectrometers and coincidence techniques. The sources were produced by the163Dy(n,p)163Tb reaction. A half-life of 19.5 min has been measured without evidence for an isomeric state in the half-life range of 2 sec to 7 d; especially a 6.5 h activity previously assigned to163Tb could not be confirmed. 76 of the total of 82 gamma-ray transitions, representing 99.6% of the gamma-ray intensity, could be assigned to 23 levels in163Dy. From beta and beta-gamma coincidence measurements aQβ-value of 1.7 ± 0.1 MeV has been determined. Spin and parity of 3/2+ are deduced for the ground state of163Tb with the Nilsson configuration [411↑]. The level at 884 keV is interpreted as aJ π=1/2+ state with a high contribution of the three-quasiparticle configurationp[411↑]-p[523↑]-n[523↓] because of an allowed unhindered beta-ray transition to this level.  相似文献

The energy level schemes of152Gd and152Sm have been established on the basis of singlesγ-spectra, andγ- γ coincidence measurements. Ge(Li) detectors were used to study the gamma spectra produced in the EC/β+ and β? decays of152Eu to152Sm and152Gd, respectively. Thirteen new transitions are reported and data from eleven coincidence gates enabled five new levels to be suggested. Relative intensities and logf t values were calculated and spin/parities deduced. Comparisons are made with new predictions of the Interacting Boson Model.  相似文献

High spin states in103Rh have been studied using the100Mo(7Li, 4n) reaction. Standard in-beam measurements involving singlesγ-ray,γ-γ-t coincidences, angular distribution and linear polarization measurements have been performed. A perturbed band based on a 9/2+ state is interpreted as ag 9/2 coupled band. A sequence built on a 1/2? state is related to thep 1/2 state. At higher excitation energy, in the range 2.2–3.7 MeV, the strongΔI=1 cascade observed, connecting negative parity levels, probably arises from states including three quasi-particle configurations.  相似文献

Using112Cd(40Ar,pxn) reactions andγ-ray spectroscopy, the EC/β + and EC(K)/β + probability ratios were determined for individualβ-transitions in the147Tb(1.6 h)→147Gd and148Tb(60 min)→148Gd decays. Under assumption of applicability of theoretical ratios for allowedβ-decays on the first-forbidden nonunique transitions studied here, the experimental ratios were converted into information on decay energies. Combining the results with the known masses of147,148Gd andQ α values of neutron-deficient holmium-to-lutetium isotopes, mass excesses could be determined for147Tb,148Tb, low-spin151Ho, low-spin152Ho,155Tm,156Tm and159Lu.  相似文献

The high-spin level structures of 152Dy and 153Dy were studied experimentally with 154, 155Gd(α xnγ) in-beam reactions, and for 152Dy also with 144, 146Nd(12C, xnγ) reactions. The experiments included measurements of singles γ-ray and conversion-electron spectra, γ-ray angular distributions and Eγ-t and Eγ-Eγ-t coincidences. A multiplicity filter set-up was used to study the feeding and decay of isomeric states in 152Dy. In 152Dy about twenty so far unknown levels were found, including two high-spin isomeric states with T12 ≈ 60 and ≈ 13 ns at excitation energies Ex ≈ 5.04 and 6.08 MeV, respectively. These states are compared with recent calculations on yrast traps. The level scheme of 153Dy contains 28 levels up to Ex = 4.1 MeV and Jπ = (372+). Band structures in both nuclei are discussed in comparison with other N = 86 and N = 87 isotones.  相似文献

The β-spectrum of the 3?-2+ transition in the decay of146Pm has been investigated with a 4π-Si(Li)-semiconductor spectrometer in a β-γ-coincidence experiment for the first time. The shape factor has been determined: C(W)=1?0.394W}-0.275/W+0.044 W2. The spin and parity of the ground state of146Pm can be determined to be 3?. The shape of this non-allowed spectrum indicates the existence of the “cancellation” or “selection rule” effect.  相似文献

Theβ-decay energies of147Eu,147Gd, and151Tb were determined by usingγ-spectroscopical methods. The comparison of experimental with calculatedK-capture probabilities yielded theQ EC values 1.690( ?16 +21 )MeV and 2.203( ?13 +19 )MeV for147Eu and147Gd, respectively. By measuring the ratio of positron decay to electron capture for two branches in147Eu decay, the decay energiesQ EC=1.702(13) MeV andQ EC=1.709(18)MeV were derived. Also fromEC/β + ratios the valuesQ EC=2.225(75) MeV for147Gd, andQ EC=2.566(12)MeV for151Tb were obtained. Earlier discrepancies in the mass adjustment of these isotopes were removed. In course of the present studiesγ-decay properties of147Eu and147Gd were reinvestigated.  相似文献

The level scheme of95Tc has been investigated with Ge(Li)-detectors by observing the γ-rays after the decay of 1.65 h95Ru. The energies and intensities of theγtransitions were extracted fromγ-singles andγγ-coincidence spectra. In the decay of95Ru 88γ-transitions were observed; a scheme of95Tc with 25 levels is proposed into which 86 transitions could be accomodated. Spin and parity assignments were made from log (ft) values andγ-ray branching ratios. The level structure of95Tc is compared with that of the other odd Tc isotopes.  相似文献

The decay of the isomeric pair83gSe (T1/2=22.6 min,I α = 9/2+) and83mSe (T1/2=70 s,I α = 1/2?) has been reinvestigated using straight Ge(Li) (83gSe and83mSe) and Ge(Li)-Ge(Li) coincidence spectrometry (83gSe). Both decays populate entirely different83Br levels, 11 of them being previously unreported. Fromγ-ray unbalances and from the known isomeric cross-section ratio of82Se, β?-branchings have been obtained, including a 34% branching of83mSe to the ground state of83Br. Logft-values are deduced, spin and parity values proposed and discussed.  相似文献

Theγ-radiation following the β? decay of73Ga has been studied. Singlesγ andγγ coincidence spectra were recorded with Ge(Li)-detectors. 17γ-rays were assigned to transitions in73Ge, where 11 excited levels are proposed. From logft values based onγ-transition intensities, spin and parity assignments for the levels were deduced. The half-life of73Ga was measured to (4.86±0.03) h. Sources of149Nd were produced by thermal-neutron irradiation of enriched148Nd. High resolution Ge(Li) spectrometers were used to collect gamma-ray singles and coincidence spectra in the study of the decay of 1.7-h149Nd. A total of 214 gamma rays have been assigned to the decay of149Nd, and 201 of these transitions have been placed in a level scheme of149Pm involving 42 excited states. Absolute values for the beta-group intensities were determined for transitions to the149Pm levels, and spin and parity assignments were made for many of the observed states. The experimentally determined level structure of149Pm was compared with corresponding levels in other odd-mass Pm and Eu nuclides. Interpretations were made in terms of the core-coupling model. The level scheme of106Ag has been studied using the103Rh(α,)106Ag and104Pd(α,pnγ)106Ag Reactions. The experimental information is taken fromγ-ray coincidence data using Ge(Li)-Ge(Li) and HPGe-planar Ge(Li) configurations andγ-ray angular distributions. With these measurements 126 γ rays have been assigned to106Ag with 116 deexciting 78 states below 2.26 MeV in excitation. The location of the 8.4-day 6+ isomer is established at 89.63±0.09 keV. Many of the low-lying states are interpreted in terms of a slightly deformed rotor model.  相似文献
