The nonlinear term f is supposed to satisfy the polynomial growth condition of arbitrary order c1q|u|−k?f(u)u?c2q|u|+k and f(u)?−l, where q?2 is arbitrary. There is no other restriction on p and q. In this paper, we continue the study of the periodic problem for the second-order equation u+f(u)u+g(u)=h(t,u), where h is a Carathéodory function and f,g are continuous functions on (0,+) which may have singularities at zero. Both attractive and repulsive singularities are considered. The method relies on a novel technique of construction of lower and upper functions. As an application, we obtain new sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solutions to the Rayleigh–Plesset equation.  相似文献

We consider the existence and uniqueness of bounded solutions of periodic evolution equations of the form u=A(t)u+?H(t,u)+f(t), where A(t) is, in general, an unbounded operator depending 1-periodically on t, H is 1-periodic in t, ? is small, and f is a bounded and continuous function that is not necessarily uniformly continuous. We propose a new approach to the spectral theory of functions via the concept of “circular spectrum” and then apply it to study the linear equations u=A(t)u+f(t) with general conditions on f. For small ? we show that the perturbed equation inherits some properties of the linear unperturbed one. The main results extend recent results in the direction, saying that if the unitary spectrum of the monodromy operator does not intersect the circular spectrum of f, then the evolution equation has a unique mild solution with its circular spectrum contained in the circular spectrum of f.  相似文献

We consider entire solutions of ut=uxx-f(u), i.e. solutions that exist for all (x,t)∈R2, where f(0)=f(1)=0<f(0). In particular, we are interested in the entire solutions which behave as two opposite wave fronts of positive speed(s) approaching each other from both sides of the x-axis and then annihilating in a finite time. In the case f(1)>0, we show that such entire solution exists and is unique up to space-time translations. In the case f(1)<0, we derive two families of such entire solutions. In the first family, one cannot be any space-time translation of the other. Yet all entire solutions in the second family only differ by a space-time translation.  相似文献
