本文研究了n维双曲空间和n维球面空间中单形的正弦定理和相关几何不等式. 应用距离几何的理论和方法, 给出了n维双曲空间和n维球面空间中一种新形式的正弦定理, 利用建立的正弦定理获得了Hadamard 型和Veljan-Korchmaros型不等式. 另外, 建立了涉及两个n维双曲单形和n维球面单形的"度量加"的一些几何不等式.  相似文献

It is proved in [8] that there exist no totally umbilical Lagrangian submanifolds in a complex-space-form ,n≥2, except the totally geodesic ones. In this paper we introduce the notion of LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds which are the “simplest” Lagrangian submanifolds next to the totally geodesic ones in complex-space-forms. We show that for each Legendre curve in a 3-sphereS 3 (respectively, in a 3-dimensional antide Sitter space-timeH 1 3 ), there associates a LagrangianH-umbilical submanifold in ℂP n (respectively, in ℂH n ) via warped products. The main part of this paper is devoted to the classification of LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds in ℂP n and in ℂH n . Our classification theorems imply in particular that “except some exceptional classes”, LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds of ℂP n and of ℂH n are obtained from Legendre curves inS 3 or inH 1 3 via warped products. This provides us an interesting interaction of Legendre curves and LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds in non-flat complex-space-forms. As an immediate by-product, our results provide us many concrete examples of LagrangianH-umbilical isometric immersions of real-space-forms into non-flat complex-space-forms.  相似文献

In this paper, the concept of a finite mass-points system∑N(H(A))(N>n) being in a sphere in an n-dimensional hyperbolic space Hn and a finite mass-points system∑N(S(A))(N>n) being in a hyperplane in an n-dimensional spherical space Sn is introduced, then, the rank of the Cayley-Menger matrix AN(H)(or a AN(S)) of the finite mass-points system∑∑N(S(A))(or∑N(S(A))) in an n-dimensional hyperbolic space Hn (or spherical space Sn) is no more than n 2 when∑N(H(A))(N>n) (or∑N(S(A))(N>n)) are in a sphere (or hyperplane). On the one hand, the Yang-Zhang's inequalities, the Neuberg-Pedoe's inequalities and the inequality of the metric addition in an n-dimensional hyperbolic space Hn and in an n-dimensional spherical space Sn are established by the method of characteristic roots. These are basic inequalities in hyperbolic geometry and spherical geometry. On the other hand, some relative problems and conjectures are brought.  相似文献

We prove that the sufficient and necessary conditions for existence of anI regularn-simplex in ℝ n are that ifn is even thenn = 4m(m + 1), and ifn is odd thenn = 4m + 1 with thatn + 1 can be expressed as a sum of two integral squares orn = 4m - 1, and that the sufficient and necessary condition for existence of aII regularn-simplex in ℝ n isn = 2m 2 - 1 orn = 4m(m + 1)(m ∈ ℕ). In an earlier paper [14], we showed that the Hilbert scheme of points in the plane H n =Hilb n (ℂ2) can be identified with the Hilbert scheme of regular orbits ℂ2 n //S n . Using this result, together with a recent theorem of Bridgeland, King and Reid [4] on the generalized McKay correspondence, we prove vanishing theorems for tensor powers of tautological bundles on the Hilbert scheme. We apply the vanishing theorems to establish (among other things) the character formula for diagonal harmonics conjectured by Garsia and the author in [9]. A generalized Frenet formula for holomorphic 2-spheresS 2 in Grassmann manifoldsG(k,n) is introduced and a generalized Pliicker formula is achieved. Let Mn be a complete hypersurface in Sn+1(1) with constant mean curvature. Assume that Mn has n−1 principal curvatures with the same sign everywhere. We prove that if RicMC(H), either S?S+(H) or RicM?0 or the fundamental group of Mn is infinite, then S is constant, S=S+(H) and Mn is isometric to a Clifford torus with . These rigidity theorems are still valid for compact hypersurface without constancy condition on the mean curvature.  相似文献

Certain construction theorems are represented, which facilitate an inductive combinatorial construction of polytopes. That is, applying the constructions to ad-polytope withn vertices, given combinatorially, one gets many combinatoriald-polytopes—and polytopes only—withn+1 vertices. In this paper, we reformulate the Euler-Lagrange equations of Willmore surfaces in S^n as the flatness of a family of certain loop algebra-valued 1-forms. Therefore we can give the Weierstrass type representation of conformal Willmore surfaces. We also discuss the relations between conformal Willmore surfaces in S^n and minimal surfaces in constant curvature spaces S^n, R^n, H^n, and prove that some special Willmore surfaces can be derived from minimal surfaces in S^n, R^n, H^n.  相似文献

In the Atlas of abstract regular polytopes for small almost simple groups by Leemans and Vauthier, the polytopes whose automorphism group is a symmetric group Sn of degree 5?n?9 are available. Two observations arise when we look at the results: (1) for n?5, the (n−1)-simplex is, up to isomorphism, the unique regular (n−1)-polytope having Sn as automorphism group and, (2) for n?7, there exists, up to isomorphism and duality, a unique regular (n−2)-polytope whose automorphism group is Sn. We prove that (1) is true for n≠4 and (2) is true for n?7. Finally, we also prove that Sn acts regularly on at least one abstract polytope of rank r for every 3?r?n−1.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove some theorems on fuzzy sets. We first show that, in order to demonstrate that the equality of shadows ofA andB implies the equality ofA andB, it is necessary to assume thatA andB are closed and thatS H (A)=S H (B) for any closed hyperplane hyperplaneH. We also obtain a separation theorem for two convex fuzzy sets in a Hilbert space. Finally, we investigate results relating to minimax theorems for fuzzy sets. By investigating hypersurfaces M n in the unit sphere S n+1(1) with constant mean curvature and with two distinct principal curvatures, we give a characterization of the torus S 1(a) × Sn-1(?{1-a2})S^{n-1}(\sqrt{1-a^2}) , where a2=\frac2+nH2±?{n2H4+4(n-1)H2}2n(1+H2)a^2=\frac{2+nH^2\pm\sqrt{n^2H^4+4(n-1)H^2}}{2n(1+H^2)} . LetT be a complete theory of linear order; the language ofT may contain a finite or a countable set of unary predicates. We prove the following results. (i) The number of nonisomorphic countable models ofT is either finite or 2ω. (ii) If the language ofT is finite then the number of nonisomorphic countable models ofT is either 1 or 2ω. (iii) IfS 1(T) is countable then so isS n(T) for everyn. (iv) In caseS 1(T) is countable we find a relation between the Cantor Bendixon rank ofS 1(T) and the Cantor Bendixon rank ofS n(T). (v) We define a class of modelsL, and show thatS 1(T) is finite iff the models ofT belong toL. We conclude that ifS 1(T) is finite thenT is finitely axiomatizable. (vi) We prove some theorems concerning the existence and the structure of saturated models. Most of the results in this paper appeared in the author’s Master of Science thesis which was prepared at the Hebrew University under the supervision of Professor H. Gaifman.  相似文献

We prove two theorems concerning the global behaviour of a smooth compact surfaceS, without boundary, embedded in a real projective space or mapped to a plane. Our starting point is an analysis of the orientability properties of the normal bundle of a singular projective curve. Then we see how an excellent projection fromS to the Euclidean plane gives rise to integral relations linking the singularities of the apparent contour. Finally, given an embedding ofS in RPn, we look at the discriminant Δ* of a net of hyperplanes that intersectsS in a generic way, obtaining a characterization of Δ* in terms of mod.2 cohomology invariants.  相似文献

We suggest a method for selecting an L-simplex in an L-polyhedron of an n-lattice in Euclidean space. By taking into account the specific form of the condition that a simplex in the lattice is an L-simplex and by considering a simplex selected from an L-polyhedron, we present a new method for describing all types of L-polyhedra in lattices of given dimension n. We apply the method to deduce all types of L-polyhedra in n-dimensional lattices for n=2,3,4, which are already known from previous results.  相似文献
